Dear Ms. [redacted],   Thank you for reaching out with your concerns.   Sephora can make an exception and authorize the non-receipted return that you attempted. You will have between 7/12/17-7/31/17 to conduct this return in any Sephora freestanding stores.   Sephora has made changes to...

their non-receipted return policy and have placed some limits. Sephora understands that tightening a return policy is always a risk to the client experience but they have taken that into consideration before doing so by providing email receipts, printed receipts, gift receipts, and receipt look up if you used your Beauty Insider account/Debit/Credit Card or made your purchase online.  With that said, just note that our POS only keeps purchase history in a rolling 365 days.   Please be advised that it is best to shop with your receipt.  Future non-receipted returns are subject to not being approved in our system.   Regards, The Retail Equation

Dear Mr. [redacted], After thorough review of your RAR, Best Buy has removed the return transactions [redacted]-270-BBY and [redacted]-706-BBY from your return history.  The Retail Equation has amended your Return Activity File. Please note, the 365 day waiting period has also been removed. You...

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
[Good Day, I have since returned to the [redacted] location in [redacted] and requested additional information. The management and staff in this location stated that "THEY HAVE NO INVOLVEMENT IN THIS DECISION" and that the "The Retail Equation" is silly responsible for their actions. Your response is shifting the blame to them and they are shifting the responsibility to you. Someone is mistaken/lying and continuing to drag out a prejudicial action based on mis-information or inaccurate information. I have furnished your company with more than sufficiant information for your investigation and the outcome based on that information should have been clearly thought through. As for the Revdex.com, I would hope that you can clearly see the misdirection and unfair actions by this retailer. Thank you Revdex.com for your assistance in this matter.]

Dear [redacted], Thank you for reaching out with your concerns, however [redacted] is unable to accommodate your request to have the transactions removed from the Returns Activity Report. After reviewing your request, [redacted] would have made the decision to authorize the non-receipted return that you...

attempted. We do see though that you made the return successfully on 2/13. Please note that it is best to return with your receipt. Future non-receipted returns are subject to not being approved in [redacted]’s system. For your convenience, [redacted]  offers their clients the option to have their receipt printed and/or emailed as well as the stores now have the ability to look-up both your online and in-store purchases  by using any of the following  cards  ([redacted] /Debit/Credit Card )that were associated to that purchase for up to 12 rolling months. Regards,The Retail Equation866-407-5562

I asked for the ability to make returns and this was not addressed. Also, this company is storing my personal information on their servers against my will. [redacted] does not let customers know that this shady company is collecting my information, making this a clear violation of privacy. I don't accept this response and I want this situation explained to [redacted] and someone from [redacted] to contact me at the phone number I provided.  This is the most canned response I have ever seen.

I am not happy with any party storing my Driver's License data - there are hackers - and identity thieves - and Anonymous - who are able to access the most secure business and government websites.  I request the Retail Equation delete any data that they have stored about me from their computers.  Said storage was never authorized by me.

Hello,

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. The Retail Equation has reviewed this consumers complaint. Our records show that we have already mailed out a copy of the Return Activity Report (RAR) to this consumers home address. The RAR was mailed out on...

2/11/2014 and sent to [redacted] Renton, WA [redacted] The address we have on file is the same address the consumer provided on her Revdex.com complaint. Also, our records show that this consumer has only contacted us once. We will gladly send another RAR to this consumer if she requests us to do so.

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
https://www.theretailequation.com/Consumers/
no 'approximately'  before '1%' and '99%'
https://www.theretailequation.com/Consumers/FAQ
some use of the word 'approximately' before '1%' and '99%'
A mother can return baby sunscreen at baby's r' us twice (and also once)
and be denied by The Retail Equation.
So The Retail Equation writes '1%'  and '99%' many times on most of the website pages presenting an image that the software is customized to flag 'evil 1%' (not you and not me; but an evil group of people).
Return denial can happen to anyone.
Regards,
[redacted]

Dear Consumer,Our records show that The Home Depot has already provided you with an accommodation for returning at their stores from 6/11/2015 - 7/2/2015. At this point The Home Depot is not providing any further accommodations. Please note, The Home Depot will gladly accept returns for items in which you have the original receipt and that there is no store credit attached to that receipt. The reason for your denial is based on your overall return activity with The Home Depot, specifically for non-receipted returns and also returns of items which were purchased with store credit. Please understand that The Retail Equation is only contracted by The Home Depot to gather and store return data. This data is used only by The Home Depot for their return authorization purposes. I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. The Retail Edge staff have not clearly understood the issue I am presenting. I was not denied a return; I was given an warning for during a return of dead on arrival merchandise. The return was allowed, but my complaint with the company has to why a warning would be issued in the first place.
Also, The Retail Edge had requested the transaction number from the receipt that generated the warning which was provided to them. That transaction number would provide all of the information that is being requested again.
