I am rejecting this response because: I am rejecting this response because: I do not accept the response from this company (The Travel Center) because they do not accept responsibility for the actions of people that represent their business. I would not expect them to accept the feedback about their customer service reps or their behavior of avoiding phone calls whether it is mine or someone else. At no time did I say that I never was able to reach someone. In fact I talked to them probably 5-times but was not provided the information that I needed or was mislead. It was like pulling teeth, if I didn't ask them a direct question then I would not get the full picture. I would not expect them to give refund because they feel there was no wrong doing on their part. This is not a company I would ever do business with knowing the customer experience they provide or even accepting responsibility of providing poor customer service.
In regards to having the customer service department assist me with contacting other companies on my behalf I don't think they would have my best interest at heart and will definitely pass on the offer.
I would like you to try and contact the other company, *** *** Travel ###-###-#### or ###-###-####,
I think they are located in Philadelphia, Pa. This is the company that I paid $for the so called vacation package (2adults).

I have read the letter *** *** sent to your agency and after pulling her file I will attempt to assist herHere at the Travel Center we do not sell, advertise or promote our company to the general public*** *** was sent to the Travel
Center from the company that processes her check over the telephoneThe Travel Center does not accept payments by telephoneThe company's name on the check is Travel by Centennial if I read it correctlyWe also do not do mail outs for other companiesThat company sent *** *** our company information within that mailing to activate what was given, sold or promoted.The Travel Center does not have a voice message systemOur recording instructs clients to call back during business hours or email mail us at Info TravelCenter@***.comIt seems *** *** had the incorrect email address as stated in her letter that is why no response was receivedI have enclosed the signed document that *** *** faxed our office requesting her booking codesOn that document it has our refund policy that once codes are issued no refundI am sorry the first company did not explain the process and the fees that are involved in booking what was givenIf *** *** would like a partial refund since the Travel Center had to purchase the access codes to the online booking company, as the signed documents indicated that no refund would be issued once those booking codes are issued and used

I have sent the Email per the most recent letter from Travel Center to request a refund of $for the remaining trip not yet quoted.
They stated that no online booking companies offer free vacations inferring that they cannot reimburse me for the amount I paid to the flyer advertiser. However, the website for Travel Center is set up so no one can book anything online nor does their company pop up on any travel search engines. This indicates to me that all business is referred to them by companies such as First Select Travel, I strongly feel the affiliation between the two companies means the funds are shared and the unscrupulous way they conduct business should be investigated

March 13, Dear *** ***,In *** *** rejection letter all of the isuues that were brought up were covered in our first responseI never said the Travel Center did not receive payments from *** ***In that letter I explained that we were not the company that gave the seminar nor were we the company that gave *** *** our contact informationI supplied documents that proved that no refund would be issued if the booking codes were usedSince *** *** problem is stemming from the company that held the seminar and gave her our company information that is to whom these issues and demands need to be addressed to.As stated in my first correspondence to your agency that since all the issues have been addressed and supporting signed documents have been sent and clearly outline that no refund can be issued since the funds paid to the Travel Center have been used to purchase the access codes to the booking websiteNo further correspondence is required from the Travel Center or will be forth comingSincerely,Donna

Dear *** ***;I have circulated *** ***’s most recent correspondence to the Revdex.com among our entire group initially involved in approaching her companies to secure a vacation package to Las VegasThe reaction was universalWe are not interested in her offer of a partial refundWe contend that we are owed $and not a dollar lessWe have been witness to incredibly unscrupulous and deceptive business practices, which, at minimum, seem solely designed to separate unwitting customers from their money and thinly veil those efforts in manufactured 'legalize’ which she contends should shield her from any attempt on the part of a dissatisfied consumer to secure a total refundAgain, despite her denials of any involvement in First Select Travel, our research indicates otherwiseWe continue to believe that she has an intimate knowledgeif not a background role with cohorts at that group and could easily work across lines to honor a full refund request.We contend that her time, presuming she is interested in operating a credible and honest business, would be better spent trying to live up to her stated claim, that being that her organization has a 'stellar' (my word) customer service recordInstead, according to what we have learned via a number of sources, it would appear that her time is inordinately devoted to writing rebuttal letters to complaints filed with the Revdex.com and the Consumer Protection department in the Maryland AG’s office.So, to summarize; Our initial conversation with the customer service rep at The Travel Center, in which we laid out an itinerary, received a price, and were given assurances that what was agreed upon during that call was what we could expect, quickly changed into referrals to other companies we had no knowledge of initially, both of whom were abundantly clear we could not hold them accountable for any of the actions of the others, and essentially left us in a position that would have had us waiting for a ‘quote” for our trip and an unnamed vendor willing to pick up our package, all after having made one additional payment and would have needed to make a third in order to take this what we determined would have been a risky step, based on what we were learning about the experiences of many others who worked the process through to completion only to never have their travel request fulfilled and who could not, despite persistent efforts, able to secure a refundWe believe the structure of this process is intentional and strategic and is designed to provide The Travel Center and its sister groups with the ability to secure payments without the risk of making refunds when customers complaint, as many, many haveWe believe this represents, at minimum, highly unethical behavior and which, in the extreme, borders on the illegal.Sincerely yours,

After reading the letter and pulling *** ***'s file I have enclosed copies of the signed documents submitted to our office by *** *** to confirm my responseThe Travel Center does not advertise or promote travel clubs we do not do
seminars we are just the company that assigns clients that are sent to us from other businesses to a discount booking company to book their selected vacationOn the documents I have enclosed it covers the issues in *** ***'s letterThat once the booking codes are issued there cannot be any refunds from the Travel CenterThe Travel Center has to purchase those online booking codes from the booking company's for access to their booking sites*** *** received quotes for the vacations selectedThe bonus vacation *** *** received has certain restrictionsOn the booking company's website it covers the restriction for each vacation offeredThe $fee that *** *** is speaking about in her letter was paid to the booking company for another vacation quote and not to the Travel Center.I am sorry the company that the seminar was put on by and *** *** attended did not explain to *** *** in greater detail the restrictions of what they were giving out for attending the seminarI know on the booking company's website it covers all restrictions and the client has to click and acknowledge they have read and understand them before being able to submit their date and destination choiceThe booking company only gave *** *** the quote that was requestedIt is not the booking company's responsibility to void or not give a quote because *** *** requested to upgrade her flight to peak travel time or upgrade cabins or chose something not within the guidelines of the bonus vacation *** *** receivedI know that the $fee was waived by the booking company for another quoteSince we are not that company I do not know if one was received or the quote was acceptedSince no refund can be issued by The Travel Center and all the documents enclosed support the fact that *** *** was aware of our refund policy prior to sending any requests to the booking company for the vacations quotesNo further correspondence is required by The Travel CenterSincerely,Donna

August 11th, Regarding the letter of complaint sent from *** *** I have provided the following documents with information attached to answer all of the complaints she has referencedWith this information I will do my best to assist with this complaint.In reading over the
complaint from *** *** it seems that the only issue he is having would be that he feels We here at the Travel Center are not willing to answer his questions in order to book his vacationAt this time in regards to this claim all that can be said is an apology that *** *** feels this way because currently there are pages of notes regarding conversations from different representatives speaking to *** ***We can only deduce that the reason at this time *** *** feels he is not begin assisted is because during the last conversation held with *** *** he said that he would be contacting you as well as an attorney So we let him know that due to this information all future contact must be held through either your organization or the attorney that he plans on gettingUntil the time of this contact his file was to be put on hold so that the issues at hand could be resolved, this may be what he is referencing.Previous to this conversation held *** *** sent in his activation and he was sent the information in order to book his vacationAt this time aside from any questions *** *** may have had pertaining to booking his vacation the Travel Center had and has no further responsibilities in regards to *** ***'s vacation, our job here at the Travel Center is to send *** *** to a booking company that can book his vacationThis had been done and to our knowledge *** *** received documents from the booking company to do so.*** *** wishes to resolve this matter by receiving the funds paid to the Travel Center backUnfortunately at this time this request cannot be granted due to the documents *** *** has signed showing that he knew the process and the promotional vacations restrictionsThis document has been included and highlighted for your convenience
The document that *** *** signed and returned to our company on 3/26/states the following: "Once Travel documents and booking codes are ordered and purchased by the Travel Center at your request, there cannot be any refunds of any fees collected by the Travel Center...”
This information clearly states our refund policy once the document that he returned is sent to our company for the process to be continued and those documents to be sent to *** *** so that he may book his vacationWe are sorry that we cannot assist *** *** any furtherSincerely,

Center is stating they are not responsible for any advertisement or product I purchased from the initial company, however, both companies have the exact same mailing address. So how is it possible that one "company" does not afffiliate with the other "company"?? Furthermore, why would any client be doing business with the "Travel Center" if they were not directed to do so by "*** ***" company?? It is obvious they are different branches of one and the same company and they make it impossible for the client to get their money back
Second, I sent in (two) money orders for $each, as it was supposed to be $per person/per trip. So why would they "do me a favor" and reimburse 1(one) $fee? It they were trying to do right by the consumer, they would offer $which is what I am legally due since according to them once vouchers are issued I am not entitled to a refund and a voucher was never issued for my second vacation
Third, I was sent this email on July 8th-
As you are now threatening to take action against our company, your file will be put on holdThis hold will be placed on your file until you have sent a letter to our company stating that no legal or negative action will be taken against our companyAt this time, once this letter has been received by either fax, mail or email with your signature we will be more than happy to discuss your vacation booking processUntil this time, your file has been put on hold
And last, I have not heard from "*** *** Travel" regarding my initial $payment or "*** Reservations" (who also shares an office with The Travel Center) regarding my $payment. Since this companies all do business together, one of them, regardless of which one, should refund me as the consumer since the package purchased and fully paid for was not delivered
