Ripped off and billed for hanging stick mouse traps on my front door
I have a rip off report to post on The Orkin in Manteno, IllinoisOn 1/27/I came home to see sticky mouse traps on my outside front door along with a invoice for $I did not pay the bill and wrote dispute on it and mailed it inLater the Manager*** *** called me and said they would credit the billI told him that when someone credited it we could talk about rescheduling the appointmentsI expressed to him that I felt concerned that his location was more concerned with auto billing me than giving me serviceHe credited the billMany times he has tried rescheduling the appointmentDue to My Wife and Myself having different Work Schedules, we have been unable to be home for serviceToday I came home and received a day collection letter from the 1/27/serviceThis is the same service where they hung stick mouse traps on my outside front door and the same service that*** told me was cr

Orkin did not appear for a scheduled appointment and made no effort to cancel in advance
I provided financial information over the phone and engaged in a very detailed discussion of precisely when Orkin would appear and what actions they would take in exchange for my payment I called Orkin after they missed the window and they informed me that they had never had any intention of coming to my home At this time no technician has been to the house and no refund has been issued

I have a problem , my daughter owns her own home and lives alone, today I had Orkin spray her house for bugs outside, I was told by the first guy it would be $250.00, when the guy came an sprayed today again I was told $I paid by my credit card, when I got home I found out I was charged $, I was lied to twice an in my opinion overcharged, BUT I later found out that your guys sprayed my daughters house in Oct 29,I didnt know this then, but I found out today that they sprayed one standard bedroom window just ONE and charged her #to me I feel they took advantage of my daughter and to me that is very very very wrong

On 1/4/an Orkin representative performed, in less than half an hour, the first stage of "bed bug conventional liquid treatment" of the bed in my master bedroom.Next day, after finding out that I had to kill myself two more bedbugs full of blood, I called immediately the company and spoke with the manager, requesting the cancellation of my contract.The contract specifies that "customer may cancel this agreement at any time prior to midnight of the third business day after the date of this transactions".However, my check for $= $(current svc) + $(tax) + $(not specified) has been deposited today 1/9/into Orkin's account !Since I consider that Orkin owes me a refund of at least 2/3rds of the above amount, because they just performed only one of the three treatment stages

Orkin billed for services that were never preformed I've been requesting resolution since May 9,
I have always scheduled & paid for Orkin's service for my son's home & mine Orkin tends to bill for services even though they were not preformed This is the 2nd time I've been billed when they were never at my home or my sons I always schedule them on the same day to let them in at both locations Unfortunately this is not the first time they billed me when Orkin did not spray the homes On 5-9-I cancelled all service for both locations due to this issue I talked to *** *** on 5-9-who assured me the accounts would be adjusted and service cancelled As of today Orkin is still billing in addition to charging a July visit that didn't happenI have emailed *** *** and sent a letter requesting resolution On 7-13-I received a collection call in addition to finding out they charged for July and again no one has been to my home or my sons It appears Orkin

I failed to receive a complete treatment on 7/6/and had terrible customer serviceI am being charged for a service I did not receive
On 7/6, Orkin representative, Mr*** came to my house and only sprayed the front yardI witnessed him spraying the front yard and then he left my propertyHe did not spray my backyardI called Orkin at 11: to inquire and received message to leave my information and I would receive a return callI left a message on the second attemptI did not receive a return call
On 7/7, I received a treatment from Orkin for the inside of my houseI asked MrDavis how to proceed about my backyard not being sprayed the day beforeHe suggested I call the office to further inquire
I still did not receive a return call from OrkinI called Orkin again on 7/at 10:I again was instructed by a recording that there was no representative available and to leave a message for a return callI did not receive a return call

I contracted with Orkin to remove squirrels from my attic in early SeptemberThey charged me a premium ($3,600) and did a lousy jobThe scope of the work was supposed to include the treatment of the affected areaThe removal of debris and the sealing of the access holes created by the squirrels and other thingsThe squirrels returned less than a month after the treatment and I called Orkin repeatedly to informed themI've left many ignored voice messages and when I finally got them on the line they agreed to come back out to inspectI asked that they let me know when they were coming and call me prior to coming out and they showed up unannounced and verified that the job was not done incorrectlyWeeks passed and I continued to call them repeatedlyAfter many Ignored phone calls and messages I finally got them back on the phone they said they would finally send someone out for retreatmentI again asked that they let me know when they are coming and once again they arrived unan

For the past three billing cycles Orkin has overcharged us on our agreed upon $bi-monthly rate I have had to call for the last two cycles and request a credit, the last credit was issued on 9/19/for $ At that time I was told that the issue of over billing me has been corrected and all future bills would be at the correct amount of $ Today I received me credit card statement and I was again overcharged at the $rate

We have not received a reply to our repeated contact attempts We did not receive service to our home The tech appeared without an appointment and without a scheduled time and when no one was home He left mouse traps on our doorstep with a $bill The technician did not do the work this is the fourth issue and we do not want to be charged

I had bad customer service with Orkin & *** *** in their customer service departmentService terminated, account not noted
I decided to use Orkin Pest Control last year for an apartment building since I had used Orkin in the past with ok service After the tenants moved I can in December to cancel the service A few months later I received a call saying that I need to call to continue service I called and stated that I no longer needed service to a rude employee I was told today (4/21/16) that a technician came out in January(dated not given) and serviced the building not the apartment as usual but the "whole" building The usual service is the technician calls me and I let him into the building or make sure someone in unit does It is a gated building with no access unless the technician is let in Recently, I was told by Ms*** that the technician said he came and I am saying he didn't so we are at an impasse This is the worst customer service I had As I type

*** ***t came to "inspect and change the agreement to my name", but did neitherHe stated getting a ladder out of his door coupe and left
I was supposed to change the contract (account number ***) on my house to my name (new owner), but the inspector never inspect the property or give me papers to signHe said he was going out to his coupe to grab a ladder, but never returnedI didn't get a phone call or anythingLooking at the contract *** signed, the "service is covered through 07/01/2018"I feel that was very unprofessional and I hope his integrity doesn't speak for the company as a wholeI want the job to be completedThat was one of the perks for me purchasing the homeThis makes me wonder if the inspector ready did his job on 07/12/

Just terrible service, not worth the price of the traps they use, didn't help the situation
We payed for pest control and all the guy does is come by, spray a little and put down trapsThe website claims it uses technology, but it just uses spring traps and sticky traps I could buy at a hardware store, and they just dont work anywaysthe mice ignore themthe sprays don't eliminate spiders, we still see them just as frequently, and still get cobwebs immediatelyJust an utterly worthless service

I contacted the Orkin company a few weeks ago and set up a time for them to come and spray for spiders and fliesNo one ever showed or called on the scheduled timeI proceeded to call and reschedule, yet a again it was a no call no show THREE MORE TIMES I ended up speaking to the manager, (*** ***) who was EXTREMELY RUDE and told me that they don't work long days and I need to work around there busy schedulesWhen a Orkin rep showed up at my house he was not prepared with the right equipment and had no idea what was going onI then called (*** ***) again and he very rudely told me that I need to pay $dollars if I want the outside of the house sprayed and he wouldn't work with me for the inconvenience that his company put me throughAfter all that and being hung up on and talked to very very rudely, the representative left my home with out spraying at all Even though I walked him a-round the house and we saw several spidersI am blown away with how rude the man

A few years ago Orkin convinced me that it was a great idea to get their termite protection package for a thousand dollars and they would come out yearly to do an inspection and I would be covered for life, so I went ahead and did it The second year, I got a bill for an additional $and that part was not explained to begin with, it was at that time that I learned of the yearly fee to keep the warranty, so ok I went along and paid and figured it into my yearly budget, when the inspection didn't consist of anything but for tapping on some walls No inspection of anything really
So last year I did not go back to FL due to unforeseen health reasons, so today as I'm getting ready to figure out what my plan is upon returning to FL it dawns on me that I never heard from them last year, don't know if they went for the yearly inspection, never got a bill, no phone call, nothing, so I call to check on it and see what I need to do The woman tells me there is no active account and that

After obtaining a couple of quotes for my termite problem, I opted to go with Orkin instead of Terminix ONLY because they offered not only the fumigation, but the sales representative said they would spray all our new lumber when we decided to redo the patio as well as he offered the option to purchase a service that also included spraying all exposed beams in the attic, spray perimeter of house right after fumigation for ant control, screen all accessible vents in attic with micro mesh, unlimited calls all year, annual follow up inspection with peace of mind that if there was still termite evidence, they would retreat at no cost Finally, I would also have the peace of mind of a program that I could renew yearly to make sure the house would remain termite free However, I went against my better judgement when the sales rep did not respond to my email inquiries right away and I continued with my choice because the deal seemed good Poor choice because the sales rep continued to disa

Orkin purchased a local pest control company They then started scheduling service by leaving a voice mail They would pick a time when no one was available, not enter the residence to provide pest control service, and then send a bill After speaking with numerous representatives and being promised a credit, I was sent a collection letter
