When this individual contacted us, we our explained crowdfunding status and expected shipping timelineThey were unhappy with this and requested a refundWe attempted to resolve the situation by meeting their earlier expectations, however they never replied to usWe are very sorry that we did not initiate a refund at that time.We have since altered our policies so that we have safe-guards in place to prevent this from happening againAt this time, we would be happy to work with this individual to provide them with a refundHowever, once a dispute is opened, banking institutions put a freeze on that account and will not allow us to return funds to it until the dispute is resolvedWe have reached out to this individual directly to determine whether their dispute is still active, and issue them a refund if we can

The business has responded Please see below:The individual first contacted our contributor care team late in the evening on August ***Although he states that his emails to us were ignored, we have a record of our back and forth conversations with himWe find it unfortunate when there is a misunderstanding, and our Contributor Care team responded the next morning and offered a free upgrade for the confusion he and his wife experiencedUltimately the individual wanted a refund and one was processed without delayAt the time of the advertisement he mentioned, thingCHARGER was still in the crowdfunding phaseOur website, the video, and our FAQ’s all explained thisOur phone number does have a voicemail for individuals to leave messages which are checked and responded to dailyThe outgoing message is set up to refer individuals to our email as this is our most efficient method of communicationOur entire team is made up of a group of people who are extremely committed to getting thingCHARGER out to all of our contributors this summerWe also provide weekly updates in the form of a live hangout, which are then archived so that supporters are able to stay in touch with our latest progressEvery Friday at pm EST we provide a new update and answer supporter questions at [redacted]

We are mystified by this complaintOn the [redacted] of December we received an email from this individualWithin a few hours we sent a response with an explanation about what was happening and a link to confirm their package and address details to get this on the way to them

Our records showed that this individual reached out to us with concerns about our shipping timeline and crowdfundingAs we were happy to explain, because crowdfunding uses the funds collected from our amazing contributors to create, manufacture, and ship our products to our supporters, there is often a long delay between the receipt of funds and the shipment of packagesThis can feel like a problem to individuals who are unfamiliar with crowdfunding, but it is a part of the processWe are terribly sorry that in this case that lag time caused concern.Because of that lag, we do ask our contributors to confirm their details, prior to shipmentThis individual seemed very concerned about that process and we would love to work with them to make the it as clear and comfortable as possible.We have attempted to contact them, via phone and email, and will continue to reach out to them to try to resolve their concernsOur goal is to verify their information and ship their thingCHARGER package as soon as possible

I payed for my order on November [redacted] and never received the chargerThere was no indication whatsoever on the website or in the receipt that there may be a delay with the purchaseLooks very much like a scam

I ordered three of these on November [redacted] for $The information indicating that this was crowdfunding was almost hidden, way at the bottom of the page in a tiny fontThe site is designed to look like typical e-commerceAfter not receiving the chargers I contacted themThey explained that this is a crowdfunded project and the chargers will be shipped after the New YearVisiting the site today, I'm finding no update or contact infoSame on their Facebook page
