We are very sorry that we did not receive this individuals email in JanuaryWe truly believe that they sent it, but it simply isn't showing up in our systemAgain, we responded to the email that we received last Friday right away and responded again both by email and phone to their initial Better Business Complaint and to this request for further actionAs soon as we became aware that this individual was dissatisfied, we attempted to resolve the situation.It looks like they were able to get their shipping information confirmed and that the actual difference in the cost of shipping only came to $Although we did offer to skip that confirmation step, and offered to cover the slight difference in the cost of shipping ourselves, it does not appear that they wished to do that at this timeWe have provided them with a tracking number for their packageWe have attempted to telephone them again today, as well as contacted them via email regarding this and would be happy to speak to them to try to resolve their concerns at any time

Revdex.com:In reference to complaint ID [redacted] , after you processed my Complaint, I finally got an email response from the company only they requested more money to ship my order and tried to act like it was a donation I refused to give them more money and after being told my refund was being processed and I would have it within hours, which was today and I didn't show it was even processed, I Then contacted my bank and asked for them to dispute the charge on my card I explained what happened and they are in the process of contacting the company now Right after they contacted the company I received an update stating that the refund is being processed tonight Hmmm Wonder what happened to them processing it days ago, per the email they sent me Anyways, this company is not trust worthy at all and really seems to be a scam I cannot say that I find this satisfactory, until my Bank hears back from thing charger and I have my money back with no dispute Sincerely, [redacted]

We are truly mystified as to why this complaint was filed. We have emailed the individual several times and explained our status as a crowdfunding campaign. At the time of this complaint thingCHARGER is still a crowdfunding campaign and we are proud to say we began shipping our beautiful... product in September and continue to ship as quickly as we can.It seems that the individual did not realize this and we apologize for the confusion. We have issued this individual a refund.

I love my thing charger! I participated in the crowd funding...received my devices when they came out, have used them consistently and think they're great

We try to make our crowdfunding status clear to potential contributors and we are very sorry that it evidently was not clear to this individualThat status is expressly stated in a number of places throughout our advertising and contribution pages, but we apologize that in this case it was unclearWe acted as quickly as we could to meet this individual's expectations and our records show that their thingCHARGER has been deliveredWe never alter our contributors selections without their express permission and we remain committed to asking only for our actual cost for shipping – we do not profit from shipping feesWe have reached out to this individual to clarify the charges that they may have seen prior to shipping and hope that they will contact us directly with any further concerns

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted] , and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because: This response is laughable The so called statements that is it a crowdfunding campaign -- where they exist -- are not readily evident It really does appear to me that the website is purposely minimizing anything that might provide that information to the consumer They have made no offer to ACTUALLY state "clearly and prominently" on the thingCHARGER website that it is a crowdfunding campaign and that shipping would not be immediate First, I only got to the company's website from a Facebook ad There was no indication on that ad that it was a crowdfunded campaign or that shipping would not be immediate I notice the company didn't address that Second, there is no indication on the thingCHARGER video that it is a crowdfunding campaign until the very bitter end of a lengthy video And, frankly, they really only refer to "contributions" The video also references the indiegogo.com campaign which is over And, they don't outright call it a crowdfunding campaign One would have to make the inference that they were talking about a crowdfunded campaign And, there is no indication on that video that shipping would be delayed in anyway Third, when you click on the "get yours" button on the thingCHARGER website, its automatically scrolls down -- past the faq and the rest of the website -- to the buttons to choose 1, or chargers It in no way identifies them as perks Then, in order to see the statement that it is a "contribution" (it doesn't say it is a crowdfunded campaign) -- that is in barely visible white lettering on light grey -- one would have had to continue to scroll down past the buttons to the very end of the page In addition, there is no indication that shipping would be delayed in anyway Fourth, when one chooses to purchase one of the thingCHARGER packages the website takes you to an intermediate page which provides information on the product and links to upsell you Nothing on that page indicates in any way that it is a crowdfunded campaign or that you will not be delivering promptly It looks just like a regular retail purchase By the way, the only link to the terms and conditions referenced by the company, is on the very bottom of that page There does not appear to be any other links to the terms and conditions elsewhere on the company's websiteFifth, when you select the "choose this" button and the website takes you to the order page, the only mention of a crowdfunded campaign is at the very bottom of the form after the shipping details and the "place order" button -- again requiring the user to manually scroll down to the very bottom of the pageIn addition, thingCHARGER's invoice gives NO indication that thingCHARGER isn't immediately shipping, that my payment was considered a "contribution," or that it was part of "crowdfunding" campaign The invoice I recieved clearly refers to my "order," identifies the "product," and even includes charges for shipping and includes my address Sincerely, [redacted]
