Ticket Galaxy Reviews (413)

Revdex.com,
class="MsoNormal">Thank you for bringing this
matter to our attention. We take customer service very seriously and would like
to take the time to address Mr. [redacted] concerns.
When Mr. [redacted] placed his
order from his computer at the website, [redacted], he was obliged
to review his order and accept that website's terms and conditions before his
order was complete. These terms and conditions clearly state:
General. [redacted] acts as an intermediary between buyers and ticket sellers
("TICKET SELLERS") to facilitate the purchase and sale of event
tickets, and as such is not directly involved in the actual ticket sale
transaction between the buyers and TICKET SELLERS. All sales are final. As
tickets sold through SITE are often obtained through the secondary market and
prices are determined by the individual ticket seller, the prices for tickets
may be above or below face value. Tickets sold through SITE are from a third
party; therefore, the buyer's name will not be printed on the tickets.  Please note that the name on the tickets does
not affect the buyer's ability to access the event.
Schedule of Fees and Charges. The price charged to USER'S credit card beyond the
price of the individual tickets shall include the following fees and charges:
·
Service Fee: Cost
per ticket associated with SITE operation, customer service center operation,
and other costs associated with the fulfillment of USER'S ticket request.
·
Delivery: Costs
associated with the Delivery Method chosen by USER and the SITE'S arrangement
of USER'S ticket delivery by the FULFILLER.
·
Total: Entire
amount charged to USER, including each ticket's price as set by the FULFILLER,
Service Fee, and Delivery.
Despite Mr. [redacted] claim,
the website does allow a customer to go back, and therefore not place an order
unless the customer had already clicked on the “I’m Ready, Place My Order” button.
Once this button is placed there is no longer the ability to go back, however
this button is located on the website’s review page which appears after the
customer has inputted all of their billing and shipping information. If Mr. [redacted] had tried to hit the back button after placing his order he would not
have been able to do so.
Additionally, the service
fees are fully disclosed on two different locations. The first time the service
fees are disclosed on the checkout page where the service fees are visible
before the customer is even required to put their billing information in. On
the second review page, the service fees are also fully disclosed.
Screenshots of these two
pages are being provided.
Mr. [redacted] freely-chose to
complete his purchase with the service fees and also willingly agreed to the service
fees assessed to the order. Therefore no refund is due.

Dear Revdex.com,
font-family: 'Segoe UI', sans-serif;">Thank you for bringing [redacted]’s concerns to our attention.
We’re happy to look into this order.
The website [redacted] placed his ticket
request on repeatedly notes that the event in question is General
Admission.  The listings we posted to the website also repeatedly noted
that the tickets are GA.  (GA tickets are often numbered for record
keeping purposes, but the numbers do not correspond with any particular seats
or locations.)
Additionally, the website
repeated notes that it “a resale marketplace, not the ticket seller.
Prices are set by third-party sellers and may be above face value.”
[redacted] agreed to pay $119.16 for his order.  [redacted] placed his order on a website not owned or operated by Ticket Galaxy.
The relevant terms and polices of the website, which had to be agreed to prior
to placing his order, follow below:
General TicketsCenter.co acts as an intermediary between buyers and ticket
sellers ("TICKET SELLERS") to facilitate the purchase and sale of
event tickets, and as such is not directly involved in the actual ticket sale
transaction between the buyers and TICKET SELLERS. All sales are final.
As tickets sold through SITE are often obtained through the secondary market
and prices are determined by the individual ticket seller, the prices for
tickets may be above or below face value. Tickets sold through SITE are from a
third party; therefore, the buyer's name will not be printed on the
tickets.  Please note that the name on the tickets does not affect the
buyer's ability to access the event.
The following are the rules ("TERMS") that govern use of the
TicketsCenter.co Web Site ("SITE") by the user of the SITE
("USER"). By using or visiting the SITE, USER expressly agrees to be
bound by these TERMS and to follow these TERMS and all applicable laws and
regulations governing the SITE. SITE reserves the right to change these TERMS
at any time, effective immediately upon posting on the SITE. If USER violates
these TERMS TicketsCenter.co may terminate USER'S access to the SITE, bar USER
from future use of the SITE, cancel USER'S ticket order, and/or take
appropriate legal action against USER.
Above
Face Value Tickets sold through SITE are often
obtained through secondary market TICKET SELLERS and are being resold, in many
cases, above the price or "face value" listed on the ticket. All
ticket prices include additional service charges and handling fees as defined
on each order. SITE and its TICKET SELLERS are not directly affiliated with any
performer, sports team, or venue; and SITE does not act as a primary sale box
office, unless otherwise stated. By agreeing to these TERMS, USER agrees that
the purchase price for tickets on their order does not reflect the original
purchase price of the ticket and may be either higher or lower than the
original purchase price.
All
sales are final Since tickets are a one-of-a-kind
item and not replaceable, there are no refunds, exchanges or cancellations.
Schedule of Fees
and Charges The price charged to USER'S credit card beyond the
price of the individual tickets shall include the following fees and charges:
Service
Fee: Cost per ticket associated
with SITE operation, customer service center operation, and other costs
associated with the fulfillment of USER'S ticket request.

Delivery: Costs associated with the Delivery Method chosen by
USER and the SITE'S arrangement of USER'S ticket delivery by the
FULFILLER.

Total:Entire amount charged to USER, including each ticket's
price as set by the FULFILLER, Service Fee, and Delivery.
There is no refund due.
Thank you again for mediating,
Doug, Ticket Galaxy

Dear Revdex.com

Thank you for taking the time to mediate with [redacted] concerns. We take billing questions very seriously.

On 1/22/2016, [redacted] contacted Stadium-boxoffice.com to
assist her in selecting her tickets for the [redacted] event on...

4/2/2016.
Stadium-boxoffice.com is a site not owned or operated by Ticket Galaxy. As
such, the representatives are trained and monitored to ensure that they are
saying three key points:
1.       Tickets
may be found above or below face value
2.       All
sales are final
3.       Tickets
are in US Dollars and may not include taxes

Upon [redacted] call into Stadium-boxoffice.com, a manager
from the supporting call center had looked into the order, and assured [redacted] that the representative who had sold her the tickets has an impeccable
record of being able to recite the terms described above.

Additionally, even though placing an order on the phone, the
order is still bound by the terms and policies of Stadium-boxoffice.com, which
states:

Pricing All
prices are in United States Dollars (USD) unless otherwise specifically stated.

Because of these
reasons, we are unable to offer [redacted] a refund at this time.

Thank you,

Doug, Ticket
Galaxy

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because: I am appalled Ticket Galaxy is trying to "bully" the B.B.B. to remove my complaint by saying my term "scalping" is "wrong, prejudicial, and evoke certain racial stereotypes that are not fit for this forum.  I respectfully request that her complaint and response be removed from the Revdex.com website".  Saying something is a racial DOES NOT make it true.  The definition of scalping from the dictionary is:
to resell (tickets, merchandise, etc.) at higher than the official rates.
I stand my words this is what has been done. This is scalping by the definition.  Speaking the truth is not "allow someone to make defamatory accusations".  There is no wrong, prejudicial or racial about ANY of my comments.  I urge Ticket Galaxy to not make unfounded claims in attempt to deflect.  Now that I have addressed the attempt to deflect from the actual issue, I would like to address my concern.
I have offered two solutions to making me a satisfied customer and I will reiterate those two solutions plus offer an additional one.  1.  I would like two tickets with the actual cost of $127, since I did pay the service fee of $77.48 which should cover the "above face value cost".  2.  Return my money completely upon the return of the the 2 $79 tickets I receive.  3.  I am willing to accept an additional $79 ticket and walk away happy.
Ticket Galaxy has been very kind in their words but just repeating the same thing over and over doesn't make it true NOR and most important does it make it RIGHT.  That is why there are 49 complaints against them on Ripoff website for the EXCEPT same thing I am saying.  A person IS TOLD the cost may be higher but the person is mislead into thinking the SERVICE FEE is the increase price but in reality there is an increase cost to the tickets AND a service fee.
This purchase is 62% OVER face value!!!!  That is not reasonable.
Sincerely,
[redacted]

Revdex.com,
Again, this complaint is identical to the complaint [redacted] has already filed (complaint # [redacted]) which has been responded
to and appropriately closed. However, in an effort to resolve this matter we
will provide the same response to [redacted] here as well.
The tickets [redacted] received are 100% valid and legitimate
tickets. As was already explained to her the paper that the tickets were
printed on is a copy-protected paper. In the background the word "void" is
visible in a slightly obscured greyish tone. If [redacted] was to attempt to copy
that ticket the copy would not be readable as the light greyish voids will
appear black on the copy therefore obscuring the entire piece of paper. If s. [redacted] still has doubts on this type of paper, here is a link with more
information: [redacted]
When [redacted] stated in her other complaint that the
tickets were not valid we stated that she would be required to provide proof
from the venue that this was the case. Since the event date has come and gone
as of today’s date and [redacted] has failed to provide any proof or to contact
our customer service department at any time, we are not able to investigate that
matter at all. However, in her previous complaint she stated that the venue
would not accept the tickets, and also raised concerns about the obscured word
void on the ticket. The event had not happened as of that date and she had
already made claims that the tickets were invalid. She then filed this
complaint with same claims based on the type of paper that the tickets were
printed on. If there were any issues with the tickets when she used them to
enter the event, we would need documentation or proof from the venue that this
was the case. Without any proof from the venue that there was an issue with the
ticket we are not able to research this issue further.
Also, the terms and policies that [redacted] agreed to when
completing her purchase state:
Ticket Availability. SITE cannot guarantee ticket
availability until USER is in possession of USER'S tickets. Generally, all
ticket listings on SITE are a unique set of tickets from an individual TICKET
SELLER. Some ticket listings on SITE may only be representations of available
tickets and not actual seat locations or currently available tickets.
Occasionally tickets ordered may no longer be available at the price or in the
quantity originally ordered at the time the order is received. If equivalent or
better seat locations are available at the same price, TICKET SELLER will fill
the order with the alternative seat locations. If no alternates are available,
either USER'S credit card will not be charged at all or the entire amount
charged will be refunded, and USER will be notified that the ticket request has
been rejected.
[redacted] willingly agreed to this policy and therefore
although her tickets in section 226 row Q could not be fulfilled [redacted] received tickets in section 204 row Q which is the mirror image section of the
venue.
[redacted] order was fulfilled in accordance with the
policies she agreed to, and the tickets that were provided are valid and
legitimate tickets no refund will be provided. We hope this fully explains the
matter.

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.
Sincerely,
[redacted]

Hello Revdex.com,We regret that [redacted] has rejected our response. The representative that spoke with Ms[redacted] works for [redacted], which is a website not owned or operated by
us. As such, it would seem that Ms. [redacted] problem is with how she was told
about the remaining inventory on the secondary market. While being placed over
the phone, the order is still bound by the terms and policies that are dictated
on [redacted], which state:
Above Face Value Tickets sold through SITE are often
obtained through secondary market TICKET SELLERS and are being resold, in many
cases, above the price or "face value" listed on the ticket. All
ticket prices include additional service charges and handling fees as defined
on each order.
Ticket Availability SITE cannot guarantee ticket availability
until USER is in possession of their tickets. Generally, all ticket listings on
SITE are a unique set of tickets from an individual TICKET SELLER. Some ticket
listings on SITE may only be representations of available tickets and not
actual seat locations or currently available tickets. Occasionally tickets
ordered may no longer be available at the price or in the quantity originally
ordered at the time the order is received.
Because of this, there is still no refund due. Thank you for mediating the matter,Doug, Ticket Galaxy

I am rejecting this response because: This business owner is full of excuses, including blaming the website owner for his predatory business practices.

Dear Revdex.com,
Thank you for bringing [redacted] issue to our attention. We
take matters of delivery choices very seriously.
[redacted] had contacted us and spoken to one of my
representatives, abhorred that she had received printed out e-tickets when she
selected...

[redacted] delivery. We explained that the delivery type is not indicative
of stock type, and she explained that the website (Ticketnetwork.com)
explicitly stated otherwise. When I had received the call, I explained that it
does not state that anywhere on the website, and I had offered to refund the
difference between e-ticket delivery ($7.50) and standard delivery ($15.00),
which the customer accepted. She insisted that there was a free delivery
choice, but I again stated that the website does not offer a free delivery
choice. At this point, we consider the matter closed and an appropriate refund
given.
Thank you again for mediating,
Doug, Ticket Galaxy

Revdex.com,
Thank you for bringing this
matter to our attention. We take customer service very seriously and would like
to take the time to address Ms. Creal's concerns.
When Ms. Creal placed her
order from her computer at the website, www.[redacted]com, she was
obliged to review her order and accept that website’s terms and conditions
before her order was complete. These terms and conditions clearly state:
General.
[redacted]com ("SITE") acts as an intermediary between
buyers and ticket sellers ("TICKET SELLERS") to facilitate the
purchase and sale of event tickets, and as such is not directly involved in the
actual ticket sale transaction between the buyers and TICKET SELLERS. All sales
are final. As tickets sold through SITE are often obtained through the
secondary market and prices are determined by the individual TICKET SELLER, the
prices for tickets may be above or below face value. Tickets sold through SITE
are from a third party; therefore, the buyer's name will not be printed on the
tickets. Please note that the name on the tickets does not affect the buyer's
ability to access the event.
The website terms and
conditions were available to Ms. Creal as a scroll box during the checkout
process and as a link on each page of the site. If Ms. Creal did not click on
the "yes" button on the checkout page that states "I agree to the Terms &
Conditions," the software would have removed her from the checkout page and she
would not have been able to go on to complete her order. Also, the total price,
including service fees and delivery charges, was given to her before she gave her
credit card information and completed her order. The pricing was very clearly
laid out for Ms. Creal and she willingly chose to comply with the price and the terms before
sending her final order for processing.
At no time before placing her
order did Ms. Creal contact our Customer Service Department with any questions
or for any clarification of the pricing and terms and conditions. If she was
unsure about the order she was placing, she was free to call the Customer
Service Department at the readily available number or to comparison shop at
other sites before finalizing her order.
Ms. Creal was educated to the
fact that tickets are in many cases sold above face value and that www.[redacted]com
is neither a primary sale box office nor the venue. Ms. Creal's freely-chosen
acceptance of the price and the terms and conditions indicates that she did
make a conscious and educated decision to purchase tickets at the price she
agreed to.
There is no refund due.

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:
This business must be the only one in the world that never refund anything. They must have the golden ticket to screw everyone over. Look at the sarcasm and his message. I hope you enjoy your event just poking me waiting for me to snap. Just another crappy business don't waste your time getting involved with these succubus's. I will not accept anything other than a refund. And if I do not receive my tickets or my refund I will contact a lawyer.
Sincerely,
[redacted]

Dear Revdex.com,
We regret to inform [redacted] that there is currently no update on his order at this time.
Thank you,
Doug, Ticket Galaxy

Dear Revdex.com,
class="MsoNormal">Thank you for mediating this matter. We take
financial matters like these very seriously.
[redacted] attempted to purchase some
tickets on 1/17 for an event on 1/18. When the order was received, only a
preauthorization was attempted and there was an error where the order didn’t
get charged. In this case, our process is to attempt another preauthorization
in case the system had an error. When that came up as declined, we contacted
the customer and had her verify that all of her billing information was
correct. When she assured us that it was 100% correct, we attempted a third
preauthorization. When that didn’t go through we did reject the order, as we
were not able to be paid for the order.
Preauthorizations can take 3-5 business days
to fade off of an account. This is completely out of our company’s hands. That
is up to the financial institution of the card. Through the many conversations
that we have had with [redacted] she did mention that her card is a pre-paid
card, which are notorious for having issues releasing preauthorizations. Again,
this is not due in any part to anything that our company does, it’s simply the
processes of the card.
It’s very important for us to make it clear
that we would never want to take a customer’s money and not provide a customer’s
tickets. Similarly, we would not provide someone tickets without being paid for
the merchandise.
While we regret that we weren’t able to
furnish [redacted] with tickets, we also did not actually withdraw money from
her account.
Thank you again for taking the time to look
into this matter,
Doug

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:
"Unfortunately, given the particulars of the venue and event Ms. [redacted] intended to attend, we were unable to replace her lost tickets or have her and her boyfriend's entry assured by the box office.  Sometimes we are able to replace customer's lost tickets and we encourage customers to contact us in the event they misplace, damage, or destroy their tickets, as Ms. [redacted] did.  However, we do not promise to be able to help in these situations, and, unfortunately, we aren't able to help Ms. [redacted]."
What are the 'particulars of the venue'? Is it possible for Mr. [redacted] of Ticket Galaxy to please speak to why Ticket Galaxy cannot contact the venue and place our names or some notification that we paid for tickets at Will Call? Again, as stated in my letter, we understand that the tickets cannot be replaced. What we're asking is that our names be left at Will Call. Case in point, I previously purchased tickets issued by the company Ticket Fly, and wanted to transfer them to a friend. We didn't have "hard" paper tickets -- just an email and a signed letter verifying that I paid for tickets through their company. At Will Call, this was accepted as proof of purchase -- along with ID and the original ticket receipt -- and my friend was allowed to enter the show.  For the show in question, we have an email receipt and ticket confirmation as can provide ID. Can Ticket Galaxy contact the venue or simply provide a letter that verifies that we did in fact pay for tickets?
Sincerely,
[redacted]

Dear Revdex.com,We regret to inform [redacted] that there is currently no update on his order at this time.Thank you,Doug, Ticket Galaxy

Dear Revdex.com,While we regret that [redacted] has disagreed with our response, a phone order placed is still bound by the same terms and policies as placing the order on the website. If [redacted] takes issue with how the order was placed, then we would have to refer him to eventticketscenter.com, as TicketGalaxy does not own or operate the website. As stated, it also does not own or operate the call center into which he called to place his order. For these reasons, and the reasons previously mentioned, there is no refund due at this time.Thank you for the continued mediation,Doug, Ticket Galaxy

I purchased tickets through Ticket Galaxy for a ** concert in Tampa. I did not receive the section and row that I clicked on. I would have never paid the price I did for the section they gave me. I immediately tried calling and emailing them when I received my receipt. I contacted my credit card company to discuss what I should do. When BOA contacted them they were not even willing to talk to the representative when he notified TicetGalaxy that the conversation would be recorded . They hung up on him. When I contacted them, the representative hung up on me when I asked that the pending transaction be cancelled. Their customer service needs to do some serious training on how to handle disputes.

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because: I was misled by your website and would not have knowingly purchased the tickets if I would have known I was not buying from a direct vendor.
Sincerely,[redacted]

Customer is keeping tickets in hand with a partial refund of $25 total.

When the customer expressed further displeasure after the event, he had e-mailed in and a Customer Service Representative had explained that we are unable to provide further discounts after he has accepted the alternates and attended the show.

Customer
emailed: I understand the various fees associated with the sale of the
tickets. These fees were shown on my invoice. I am referring only to
the face value of the ticket. The difference in face value for each
ticket was $19, not including fees or taxes. I should get a refund for
the 5 tickets I ordered in the amount of $95, minimum. This also does
not take into consideration that [redacted] states on their
website that if I do not receive the tickets I ordered, and the
replacements are of lesser value, I will receive a 125% refund. These
tickets were definitely of lesser value, in seating arrangement and face
value. I replied: "Hello [redacted],
Thank you for contacting us with questions about your order. We are
happy to help!
The difference between the price you paid and the face value on the
ticket is due to the fact that we are a secondary market ticket
re-seller. The prices that we list our tickets for are based on many
factors, including the popularity of the event and the proximity of the
event. Unfortunately, we are unable to partially refund your order any
further; once you agreed to the new tickets, our all-sales-final policy
re-instated. The 125% guarantee that you were promised is 100%
legitimate, and you had the chance to cancel your order and receive this
125% refund. Since you did not choose to cancel your order and you used
the alternate tickets, we cannot assist any further. If you have any
further questions, please contact our customer service department at
([redacted] between 9AM and 6PM EST.
Thank you and I apologize for any inconvenience,"

Because the customer accepted the alternates at a discount, we are unable to further discount the tickets at this point.
There is no refund due.

Dear Revdex.com,
Thank you for the continued mediation.
We regret that [redacted] has rejected our response at this time.
For reasons previously mentioned, there is still no refund due.
Thank you again,
Doug, Ticket Galaxy
