Ticket Galaxy Reviews (413)

Revdex.com,
Thank you for bringing this matter to our attention. We take
customer service seriously and appreciate the...

opportunity to respond to [redacted] concerns.
Our customer service records do show that [redacted] did
speak with a representative regarding her order. Our notes do not indicate that
she questioned the presence of the word void on the tickets however, so we’d be
glad to address that concern now.
The tickets that [redacted] received are printed on secure
paper which prevents them from being photocopied and duplicated. Since tickets
are one-of-a-kind items if they were copied only one person would be able to
use the ticket thus invalidating the ticket for the next person who tries to
use it. If the secure paper is photocopied the tickets will read void across them
and make the tickets un-useable. Thus the void that [redacted] sees is somewhat
visible and is in the background and will be fully visible if the tickets are
copied.  This is a security measure that prevents
any potential issues with the tickets for all of our customers.
Therefore, [redacted] tickets are not void themselves.
They are valid and legitimate tickets and are 100% guaranteed.
We hope this fully explains the matter and there will be no
refund provided in this case.

Dear Revdex.com,
Thank you for bringing this matter to our attention. We take customer service very seriously. However, it appears that Ms. [redacted] did not place her order with our website. The order number provided does not match our numerical, eight-digit format, with no...

dashes. In addition, we could not find an order match using the other identification information provided, such as her name and email.
We request that this matter be closed as the order was not placed through our company. Thank you.

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because: The business could not possibly have had the tickets to sell because none had gone on sale to the public on the day I ordered from them.  They priced gouged not only the tickets but the service charges in my opinion.  I was able to get tickets DIRECTLY from the vendor for much less.  The difference between the two costs is $143.90  and that is MORE than the vendor charged for the tickets and service charges!  I believe I am at least owed the difference between the two, but would prefer the entire amount.
Sincerely,
[redacted]

Revdex.com,
Thank you for bringing this
matter to our attention. We take customer service seriously and appreciate the
opportunity to respond to Mr. Martin's concerns.
When Mr. Martin placed his
order from the website www.EventTicketsCenter.com
the checkout page indicated that he was buying two tickets at $162 per ticket.
At the top of the page the price was only listed as 2 x $162.00 and the total
price showed "---" meaning the final price was not calculated yet. A screenshot
of this is included on page one of our attachment.
On the second page of the
attachment Mr. Martin can see that once he enters his shipping information,
which calculates the shipping fee for the order, the total order including the
price per ticket, per service fee, and delivery fee is represented. The total
of the order is in bright red font, as to stand out to the customer.
Also, after Mr. Martin
completed entering his billing information, he clicked on "continue" which
brought him to a final review. The review page also includes a total of the
purchase price along with the name of the event and the location of the
tickets. Mr. Martin was well informed of the cost of his tickets and willingly
agreed to purchase them at the price indicated.
Further, Mr. Martin also
agreed to the website"s all sales are final policy. This policy explicitly
states:
All sales are final. Since tickets are a one-of-a-kind item and not
replaceable, there are no refunds, exchanges, or cancellations. If an event is
postponed or rescheduled, tickets will be honored for the rescheduled date. New
tickets will not need to be issued. If an event is cancelled without a
rescheduled date, USER will need to contact FULFILLER for a refund. FULFILLER
may require USER to return the supplied tickets at USER'S expense before
receiving any refund USER is entitled to due to cancellation. SITE is not
responsible for providing or securing this refund for USER. Any shipping and
handling charges are not refundable. Refunds will be processed in the same
currency as the original order. Conversion charges, including though not
exhaustive of the ones issued by USER'S bank, if any, are not covered by SITE
or FULFILLER. Neither SITE nor FULFILLER will issue exchanges or refunds after
a purchase has been made or for lost, stolen, damaged or destroyed tickets.
When USER receives tickets, USER should keep them in a safe place. Please note that
direct sunlight or heat may damage tickets.
The website terms and
conditions were available to Mr. Martin as a scroll box during the checkout
process and as a link on each page of the site. If Mr. Martin did not click on
the "yes" button on the checkout page that states "I agree to the Terms &
Conditions," the software would have removed him from the checkout page and he
would not have been able to go on to complete his order. Also, the total price,
including service fees and delivery charges, was given to him before he gave his
credit card information and completed his order. Mr. Martin chose to comply
with the price and the terms before sending his final order for processing.
At no time before placing his
order did Mr. Martin contact our Customer Service Department with any questions
or for any clarification of the pricing and terms and conditions. If he was
unsure about the order he was placing, he was free to call the Customer Service
Department at the readily available number or to comparison shop at other sites
before finalizing his order.
Mr. Martin was educated to
the fact that tickets are in many cases sold above face value and that www.EventTicketsCenter.com
is neither a primary sale box office nor the venue. Mr. Martin's freely-chosen
acceptance of the price and the terms and conditions indicates that he did make
a conscious and educated decision to purchase tickets at the price he agreed
to.

There is no refund due.

Revdex.com,
Thank you for bringing this
matter to our attention. We take customer service very seriously and would like
to take the time to address Mr. De Bellis's concerns.
When Mr. De Bellis placed his
order from his computer at the website, www.EventTicketsCenter.com, he was
obliged to review his order and accept that website’s terms and conditions
before his order was complete. These terms and conditions clearly state:
General.
EventTicketsCenter.com ("SITE") acts as an intermediary between
buyers and ticket sellers ("TICKET SELLERS") to facilitate the
purchase and sale of event tickets, and as such is not directly involved in the
actual ticket sale transaction between the buyers and TICKET SELLERS. All sales
are final. As tickets sold through SITE are often obtained through the
secondary market and prices are determined by the individual TICKET SELLER, the
prices for tickets may be above or below face value. Tickets sold through SITE
are from a third party; therefore, the buyer's name will not be printed on the
tickets. Please note that the name on the tickets does not affect the buyer's
ability to access the event.
Above Face Value. Tickets sold through SITE are often obtained through secondary market
TICKET SELLERS and are being resold, in many cases, above the price or
"face value" listed on the ticket. All ticket prices include
additional service charges and handling fees as defined on each order. SITE and
TICKET SELLERS are not directly affiliated with any performer, sports team, or
venue; and SITE does not act as a primary sale box office, unless otherwise
stated. By agreeing to these TERMS, USER agrees that the purchase price for
tickets on USER'S order does not reflect the original purchase price of the
ticket and may be either higher or lower than the original purchase price.
The website terms and
conditions were available to Mr. De Bellis as a scroll box during the checkout
process and as a link on each page of the site. If Mr. De Bellis did not click
on the "yes" button on the checkout page that states "I agree to the Terms
& Conditions," the software would have removed him from the checkout page
and he would not have been able to go on to complete his order. Also, the total
price, including service fees and delivery charges, was given to him before he
gave his credit card information and completed his order. Mr. De Bellis chose
to comply with the price and the terms before sending his final order for
processing.
At no time before placing his
order did Mr. De Bellis contact our Customer Service Department with any
questions or for any clarification of the pricing and terms and conditions. If he
was unsure about the order he was placing, he was free to call the Customer
Service Department at the readily available number or to comparison shop at
other sites before finalizing his order.
Mr. De Bellis was educated to
the fact that tickets are in many cases sold above face value and that www.EventTicketsCenter.com
is neither a primary sale box office nor the venue. Mr. De Bellis's
freely-chosen acceptance of the price and the terms and conditions indicates
that he did make a conscious and educated decision to purchase tickets at the
price he agreed to.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because the agent I spoke to did NOT explain that the tickets were above face value.  The agent I spoke to instead told me that the show was almost sold out and only a few seats were remaining.  This was completely false, because when I realized that the tickets were double the face value, I spoke to a representative at Houston's [redacted] and he said there were many seats still available.
Sincerely,
[redacted]

Dear Revdex.com - Thank you for helping to mediate Mr. [redacted] situation.  Mr. [redacted] concerns are directed to the website on which he purchased tickets, a third party website that is not owned or operated by Ticket Galaxy.  Ticket Galaxy has no role in...

how the website is advertised or what service fee it asks for.  However, Mr. [redacted] agreed to be bound by the website's terms and conditions, which were conspicuously displayed on the checkout page, by actively clicking a check box before checking out.  Those terms and conditions explicitly note that all sales are final.  We rely on the finality of this kind of web order in order to run our business efficiently and offer competitively priced event tickets. Thanks again, Doug

Revdex.com,
Thank you for bring Mr. Burton's continued concerns to our attention.
I would urge the Revdex.com to read our initial reply. Mr. Burton is complaining about a website which he did not order from, nor did have any interaction with. His order for tickets was NOT placed on the website he is complaining about. Mr. Burton's order was placed at www.TicketNetwork.com which does not look anything like LiveNation, nor does it ever purport itself to be associated with LiveNation or even a member of the primary ticket market.
TicketNetwork contains ample disclosures that inform all customers that they are buying tickets from a secondary site and that prices may be above and below face value. Further, Ticket Galaxy is only the ticket supplier and does not own, operate, or manage this website or the other website Mr. Burton is complaining about.
The "legal mumbo jumbo" that Mr. Burton is claiming to have been provided is the terms and policies of purchase that he agreed to when placing his order. They are written in very clear language and are easily understood. Additionally, the terms and not buried in the footing of a page or in tiny hard-to-read print, they are on the checkout page in a scroll box and must be agreed to.
If Mr. Burton clicked-to-accept them without reading them, or ignored the other disclosures on the website (which screenshots are being provided in the attached document) we cannot be accountable for his failure to do so. As was stated in our previous response, Mr. Burton was free to comparison shop at any website before completing his purchase. He willingly agreed to complete his purchase on TicketNetwork.com and also willingly agreed to the website's all sales are final policy.
We regret that Mr. Burton remains dissatisfied with his purchase, however we will not be providing a refund for this matter. We hope this fully explains the issue.

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:

I am familiar with the Theater and Section E. They listed "Section: Zone E".
under their ticket "Section" heading. It did not read "Section M" which is the
section the tickets that I received are in.

I purchased these tickets on my phone. A little tiny icon at the bottom of the
screen is only visible if you are using a large monitor.

If they were referring to an altogether different area than "Section E", they
should have listed it as such. To have the heading "Section Zone E". is very
misleading. As I have found out, they were not referring to a "Section" at all.

I would not have purchased the tickets if they had clearly listed "Section L".

This company apparently is happy with misleading customers and charging
extra fees for under rated services and products.

I am extremely disappointed in my transaction with this company.

Sincerely,
[redacted]

Dear Revdex.com,

Thank you for bringing [redacted] concerns back to our
attention. We take matters of transparency and seating very seriously.

While
we disagree with the issues that [redacted] has described above, we have given
[redacted] a free upgrade...

to the orchestra level seating and we consider this
matter closed.

I
would like to take the time to reiterate that this is an exception to the
general rule of the terms and policies that were agreed to prior to placing the
order. We do typically have to abide by an all-sales final policy as laid out
by the website that the customer places their order with. This lays out that
there are no cancellations, exchanges, or refunds. We have taken this opportunity
to correct [redacted] in his inaccuracies, while still providing the seats
that he had intended to order.

Thank
you for mediating,

Doug,
Ticket Galaxy

Dear Revdex.com,
We regret that [redacted] has rejected our response. I cannot dispute that it would have been nice to send an e-mail. We will certainly look into implementing that feature for the future. However, this does not change the situation that there is no refund due for the current order unless the show is canceled completely.
Thank you again for mediating in this matter,
Doug, Ticket Galaxy

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. ## It was [redacted] not ticket Galaxy.... Please fix this.

Dear Revdex.com,We regret that Ms[redacted]as chosen to reject our response. Unfortunately, there is no new information to add in this matter. We have been contacted by the Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection and are working to resolve the matter through that avenue as well, so we respectfully ask that this matter be closed as it has now been escalated. Thank you for mediating yet again,Doug, Ticket Galaxy

Revdex.com,
We are requesting that this complaint be closed as we have already responded to [redacted] concerns in Complaint ID [redacted]. This complaint seems to be a duplicate of that one which was responded to on June 19, 2014.

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:  I believe it is poor business that they do have no say or agreements with the businesses that utilize their services. The transaction wasn't even fully processed through the third party at the time, so they made no attempt to help rectify the situation while the opportunity was still present.  They offered nothing to help stop this third party transaction from processing.
Sincerely,

emailed: I understand the various fees associated with the sale of the
tickets. These fees were shown on my invoice. I am referring only to
the face value of the ticket. The difference in face value for each
ticket was $19, not including fees or taxes. I should get a refund for
the 5 tickets I ordered in the amount of $95, minimum. This also does
not take into consideration that [redacted] states on their
website that if I do not receive the tickets I ordered, and the
replacements are of lesser value, I will receive a 125% refund. These
tickets were definitely of lesser value, in seating arrangement and face
value. I replied: "Hello [redacted],
Thank you for contacting us with questions about your order. We are
happy to help!
The difference between the price you paid and the face value on the
ticket is due to the fact that we are a secondary market ticket
re-seller. The prices that we list our tickets for are based on many
factors, including the popularity of the event and the proximity of the
event. Unfortunately, we are unable to partially refund your order any
further; once you agreed to the new tickets, our all-sales-final policy
re-instated. The 125% guarantee that you were promised is 100%
legitimate, and you had the chance to cancel your order and receive this
125% refund. Since you did not choose to cancel your order and you used
the alternate tickets, we cannot assist any further. If you have any
further questions, please contact our customer service department at
([redacted] between 9AM and 6PM EST.
Thank you and I apologize for any inconvenience," Because the customer accepted the alternates at a discount, we are unable to further discount the tickets at this point. There is no refund due.

Dear Revdex.com -
Thank you for your help in mediating Mr. [redacted]'s complaint.  Mr. [redacted] authorized us to process his order for event tickets and to charge his credit card, by providing his payment information on the checkout page, agreeing to...

the terms & conditions of the site he visited, and by placing his orders.  The terms and conditions Mr. [redacted] agreed to explicitly state that all sales are final.
I sincerely hope Mr. [redacted] enjoys his event.
Thanks again,
Dan
