This company breached the contract by refusing to move all items on my inventory sheet from NY to Texas After they loaded items on the truck driver demanded an additional Twelve hundred dollars which was fifty percent of the contract price now ai have to hire another mover to complete the moveBased on other customer reviews this company low *** the price as a fraudulent means to induce customers to hire them and once they start the job they extort more money if you want the job completedClassic bait and switch tacticsThey arrived in Texas three hours late and driver demanded additional money to unload the truck figuring he will hold my items hostage Company sent insufficient number of men to unload truck unloaded items in the darkItems were damaged or missing parts and some are vintage where parts are not readily availableWhen I requested property damage forms to file a property damage claim they didn't respond

BEFORE YOU BOOK WITH THIS COMPANY READ MY REVIEWTraditional Express Vanlines changed their name a few days ago to *** *** to evade the update of my reviewI am going to do my best to shorten this review, but I can't promise anythingSo let's get to it! I initially contacted Traditional early this year about a move from *** to *** I called them to get a quote and I spoke to SamHe was very nice the first call and then the second call he began pressuring me to pay so I decided to do research the companyWhat I found was shockingAll the raving reviews were fake! YES, THE REVIEWS WERE FAKE! What I noticed was that the same people (numerous people) had given raving reviews to other trucking companies in the same week(Please see the screenshot of my initial review)After posting my review the company tries contacting Yelp stating that they had never spoken to me before and requesting that Yelp remove my reviewSo I had to prove to Yelp that I had, by sending the quote(Yup, I still had it in my emailThank you Google.) After they were unsuccessful in having it removed I get an email on 2/4/from Mitch asking for me to call himMitch tells me that he is the owner, he fired Sam and he would like to make things rightHe begged and promised me that he would give me a better quote than before and he would apply a discountI told him I had already booked with another company and he asked me to cancelSounding so convincing, I canceled and received my down payment backHe also asked me to take down my review until my actual move and swore to me in a bragging way that Sam made them look bad and they were this awesome moving companySo I changed my review stating that we were working to resolve the previous issue and that I will update after my moveMitch asked me to give him a list of my items but to make sure we had no mistakes on the price, per his request, I sent him a list and picturesHe then gave me a quoteI was happyMarch came and I contacted Mitch via text and told him that I decided to sell some items including the couches but we had more boxes(Please see pictures attached) He said, "oh well let me adjust the quote"He didFast forward to moving day April 28, 2018, I had to call him because I had not heard from anyoneHe apologized and said they should have called me the day beforeThe movers finally showed up and after they get everything on the truck, the mover says "Mitch did not put the right size items on the list" and that I would be charged more because "the items were bigger than notated on his list" He also said that we had more boxes than Mitch told himHe then added $to the quoted priceStating that we had cubic feet versus cubic feetAmazing! May 5, 2018, We also booked with them to have my car picked upYeah, you guessed it, no call no show(please see screenshots of conversation.) So I had to, at the last minute, find another company to bring the car to Cali I had been texting and calling Mitch for days and days no responseMay 16, 2018, I was contacted by the driver and told me he will be at the storage in minutes and if I was late getting there it will be additional $I then told him to stop yelling, that I was one block away and I will be thereI get to the storage and he tells me that he doesnt think he can pull in the storage because there is a dip on the entrance and that he was leaving with my belongings and you guessed itI would have to pay more money to get it Long story short I had to call the policeHe then changed his mind and said he was going to try to pull up over the dipI said okI then followed the manager down the aisle to my unitAfter mins we realized the driver wasn't coming, so we both went to the front entrance and the drivers truck was stuck on the curbThe police arrived and spoke to both of usThe driver tried to get the officer to agree that I should then pay $for a tow truckThe officer informed the driver this would be a civil matterAfter the tow truck moved the truck out the driveway the driver then tried to tell me I had to pay more money for waiting time because his truck was stuck I begged and pleaded with the driver to give me belongingsHe refusedThe officer then informed him that he is supposed to be a professional driver so it was his responsibility to make the decision on how to drive his truckHe still refused saying I need to give him more moneyI called Mitch several times he would not answerI called the company and Bill answered and said that Louis will be calling the driver to work this outFinally, Mitch text me accusing me of making his driver pull into a space that he knew he couldn'tTo sum this upThey put my items on the street and I had to get a Uhaul and move everything to my storageThen I get a text from Mitch asking for more money(See screenshots/pictures of conversation on Yelp.) Oh I had broken items as well and missing items

I called this moving company for my move from CT to NCI shopped around with a few different companies and this one had what seemed to be the best priceAfter a very detailed conversation regarding what would be moved, I was quoted at $During said conversation, I was asked by the sales rep how many boxes I would be takingI hadn't begun packing yet so I really had no clueHe told me that for a family of 4, people usually have around boxesI trusted his word since he's supposed to know what he's talking aboutOn the day of the move, I was already driving down to NC and my wife stayed behind to wait for the moversI received a call from one of the movers who told me that I was going to be charged double than what was originally quotedI know that part of the agreement was that if we went over the cubic feet that was originally estimated, I'd have to pay the differenceI anticipated that I may have to pay a bit more, but DOUBLE? I moved from Delaware to Texas back in Jan, Team was very professional and I must say Adam was very courteous and he ensured that I was taken care till they picked up the goods
and promptly gave me a time of delivery which they delivered with out any damages
I should thank Adam for taking care of my move which was very smooth, there were some hiccups due to non availability of house in TX, during that period they had my stuff in their storage which is months free part of the contract Thanks Adam and Traditional Van Lines for moving my stuff

We contracted our move with *** *** *** who out-sourced our move to Traditional Express Van Lines It was a move from locations in NY and PA to FL The company showed up with a van that was too small for our move, and thus our possessions had to be packed/shoved to make them fit We were told (we did ask for a June date) that the truck would arrive on June by ***, but clearly there was no communication and when we flew to receive our house goods, after at least phone calls, found out our possessions had not left NJ Communication was horrible Once the truck arrived, the boxes had been dropped/thrown/were smashed A large mirror packed by them was smashed Only one piece of furniture packed by them had no damage A large glass ball that the movers had taken to the warehouse to “pack special” never arrived and has evidently been deemed lost We attempted to contact the driver who packed the ball to see if he could helpThe 2nd text message found us

Traditional Van Lines was courteous and careful from start to finishI cant believe how crazy moving can be until I was forced to relocate from Virginia to New JerseyThis company contacted me when I made a request online and I had many companies quote meWe had chosen Traditional Van Lines because it seemed they were not the most expensive and had the most responsible people I had spoken toMost other companies their rep's sounded a bit on the arrogant and condescending sideit seemed weird but either way we found it a delight to work withOur rep was very careful and was available to speak at all hours of the dayThis was our first move and we are lucky to have found this companyAnyways if you are looking for a company that will move you for a fair price this is the company to do it!

First rate for the following reasons!
Showed up on time and communicated with us while they were on the way
Followed every request we had without complaint or acting put out
Took no breaks and worked straight thru to get our move done faster
Pre move the pricing and communication was top notch!
Respected all of our belongings and were extremely careful in our houses
I have moved a lot, and this has been my best yet, so THANK YOU!

I placed an order to move from the Bronx, NY to Macon, GA with rep Blake C***, who asked the for I live on and if my building had an elevatorI informed Blake I live on the 4th for with no elevatorHe also asked about my furniture I informed him of three TVs, one table, and the rest were boxes of shoes, clothing, books, and filesThree male movers showed up, one who was huge in stature, demanded upfront additional funds to move my stuff out of the aptI explained Blake quoted me one price, I informed him of my walk up and that is not my faultI called Blake back, he apologized then suggested I give them an extra $The biggest mover refused, demanding I pay an extra $I ultimately gave them $to get my stuff movedThe same mover asked if I had TVsI said, yes, I informed Blake three TVs were secured with bubble wrap and blankets in the boxesHe said okay On my delivery date in GA, the driver tried to demand I pay for a shuttle to move my items into my complex eve

NEGATIVE They are great at breaking your stuff, not calling you back, and hanging up on you Also tops at quoting one price and charging another These jokers are iso be avoided at all costs

This company is the most unprofessional company I have ever worked withI have moved across the country and back twice now, and this has been the most unpleasant experience yetNot only is the team completely unresponsive by phone and email, they damaged my furniture, delivered wrong boxes, and charged me 400% more than the original estimate (even though I provide an exact itemized list of all of my things, including the dimensions)This company lures it's customers in with falsely advertised prices and does not care for your items

Last week was the second time we have used this company to relocate and like the first time the service was impecable.Everything went smoothly with no stress at all
The difficult part this time was that our new flat was on the 3rd floor with no lift but the crew just got on with it without complainingOn the first day the team packed us the whole flatAs we did not want to take time off work we left them by themselvesWhen we returned home all was packed and readied for the move the following dayWe did not get a home survey this time as the company had our records from the previous moveThe move was completed on time and most importantly with no damages and no missing items

Incorrect estimation of cubic feet of the itemsThey estimated more than double of the original estimation at the day of moving and not properly explaining how they estimated more than do to original estimation they provided us earlier
original estimation was cubic feet and the total cost for the moving will be $And the day of moving the estimated cubic feet and would cost us $7,that also he didn't mentioned this before loading the items on the truck he told us when half of the things were loaded on to truck
We questioned them about this updated charges because furniture was already listedWe had 10-more small/Medium size boxes than anticipated which shouldn’t double the estimateTheir reply was ‘oh your furniture is too big!’ First of all, our furniture isn’t too big but instead of arguing we said ok if that’s the case than let’s remove the sofa and coffee table and he said no, that’s not going to make any difference, which doesn't make any sense to me

Movers picked up my belongings from Austin TX on 7/I was not present, but I spoke with the head mover, told him there were special requests, and that some items needed to be left behindI also sent him numerous text messages asking them to leave certain items behind, and to make sure they took everything else- including the TV and wall mount
I found out later that the mount for my tv was left on the wall, and several items were left behind including a large wire shelf, step stool, and patio rug
I was informed that they also took the items I specifically told them to leaveNow I'll need to pay to return these items back to Austin
They also left my front door and my patio door wide open and did not lock up after themselves
I sent several emails starting about days ago asking what they planned on doing about this and received no responseI have not received any response from anyone regarding anything

Moving company failed to deliver on time, fails to provide appropriate response to complaints, and when asked to escalate concerns over the phone: hangs up, taunts me, or threatens me

Traditional Express has made multiple attempts to remedy the situation with the customerDue to the lack of response, Revdex.com has closed the case as Traditional has not broken promise of service

WORST MOVING EXPERIENCE EVER I just used Best Interstate Moving and Storage to move between Boston and Abilene, TX based partially on their star rating on this website and partially because I needed an estimate by phone It was a TERRIBLE experience Everyone I spoke with at Best was friendly, but ultimately they were ineffective at helping me have a smooth moving experience First and most importantly, although they claimed they worked only with star rated moving companies, I was assigned Traditional Express Van Lines out of NJ Turns out they have an F from the Revdex.com My bad for not cancelling my contract right then because TRADITIONAL EXPRESS was HORRIBLE to work with! I have moved approximately times and this was BY FAR THE WORST EXPERIENCE Not only did I not find out my pickup date until the day before my move, but the phone estimate was WAY OFF - more than $off And when it came time for delivery They couldn't commit to a date within a week of my requested delivery date In fact, I was in touch with Best every day for weeks regarding delivery While sleeping on an air mattress at my new house, I was promised delivery days in a row with no delivery and no communication from Best or Traditional Express I had to keep calling to find out what was going on Having Best as a middleman was NOT helpful AT ALL I waited at home all day days in a row because I was told "the delivery will be today between and 6, and the driver will call you" At the end of each day I never received a call from the driver, the dispatcher or BestFinally my items were delivered and the delivery itself I thought went smoothly, and everything was intact But when I finished unpacking later that evening, I realized I was missing a whole extra large box of items I left a message for the TRADITIONAL EXPRESS driver, tried to call the TRADITIONAL EXPRESS dispatcher, left a message for Best, but did not receive any return phone calls Only by email did I get a response from Best requesting my Lot no I gave them a week to try to find my items, but never got a response, only when I emailed back to Best was I told "the movers couldn't locate your items, so you'll need to file a claim" Talk about unhelpful So now I am in the midst of filing a claim, but based on the reviews at Revdex.com, I don't think anything will come of it Bottom lineDO NOT HIRE THIS MOVING COMPANY YOU WILL REGRET IT!

Traditional express offered me a very good price for the moveI was hesitant to hire them as the cost was a bit lower than most reputable moversI felt safe however because my friend moved with them last year
All in all I would recommend them just be sure to give them a detailed inventory or send them photos, it appears that most companies under estimated my move but Traditional did an onsite survey and showed me that the size is greaterEven with the greater size the price was still lower than the next best thing
the company was careful and responsible, they treated my valuables with a lot of attentionI appreciated the drivers careful work and when all was completed I noticed they even picked up all their trash after them selvesThe crew worked thoroughly for their tip!
Hire them if you need to move across the country, I moved from Texas to BrooklynIf I ever need to move I will for sure hire them
