This unit has a moisture collection tank inside the unit that needs to be emptied occasionallyThe unit will show STOP in the display when the tank needs to be emptied.To empty the tank the customer simply slides the tray out and empties it down the sinkThe STOP indication does not mean the condenser needs to be cleaned.Haier will be contacting the custimer directly to explain the process

Haier is continuing to deny warranty coverage as the unit was operated with the shipping bolts installedThe shipping bolts are designed to support the drum during transportation and need to be removed after installation, or damage will be caused to the unit during operationAgain this information is provided in the operating instructions as well as on the unit itselfOperating the unit with the bolts installed caused the drum to be damagedAn independent service provider has verified these findings as well Since the unit was used in a fashion that it is not designed to be the warranty does not cover the damage

Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: Haier representative told me yesterday that a service call would be covered by Haier, but when the service company called to set the appointment, she said," Haier refrigerators are sensitive and that they have had the same issues with Haier, trying to get them to cover services for their appliancesThat they tell the consumer it will be covered then, tell them very emphatically that the repairs will not be coveredHow can this company be allowed to do this to consumers? Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because:I wanted to email and let you know that my husband and I deny the response from Haier regarding our dryer fire.I want to be clear that we did not deny an inspection of the dryer as Haier stated in their responseWe have asked them several times to remove that statement from our claim file They sent a service person here to do an inspectionHe could not schedule us until November 9th (although their response says the 10th) The service person from [redacted] came to our house, he did not bring any tools with him, just a cameraHe confirmed the dryer had caught fire, took some pictures of the dryer and looked at our utility roomThen he left without doing an inspection I have been trying to find someone to do an inspection as I do not want this to happen to someone elsePlus I'd like to get the dryer out of my garage, but I am waiting for someone to tell me that it's alright to get rid of it, especially since I will have a houseful of people here on the 19thAs far as our utility room being "cleaned and repaired", the service guy scheduled his visit a week after the fireI'm not sure if they understand that the smell of burnt plastic was too strong to live with for a week and we did not have any instruction to hold off on any repairs, so of course we did what we could to eliminate the odorLastly, I should mention that after I posted some pictures on Haier's facebook page, Haier contacted us and offered us $We felt that it was not a fair offer after requesting we send them pictures and receipts that total close to $So we counter offered $ Haier then came back with a $offerWe explained that the damages were roughly $if you subtracted the cost of the replacement dryer we boughtThat is where we are at nowYou may call myself at [redacted] or my husband [redacted] at [redacted] if you have any questionsThank you, [redacted] Regards, [redacted]

The refrigerator is designed to work inside and not outside on a screened in porch In the user manual this is stated on page 5.• Do not install your refrigerator in any location not properly insulated or heated, e.ggarage, etcKeep out of direct sunlight and away from heating sources such as radiators, heaters, and cooking appliances.Also on page where the warranty is located it states:ATHIS WARRANTY DOES NOT COVER THE FOLLOWING:• Damage from misuse, abuse, accident, alteration, lack of proper care and maintenance or incorrect current or voltage• Damage from use other than household useThe warranty is void based on the location of the unit when it was in use

The Executive Office will contact [redacted] to arrange to have the refrigerator replaced

Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: I never saw the manual for this refrigerator until it was installed and the deliverymen were leavingWhen I purchased this refrigerator, I specifically told the salesman where I was installing it, we discussed how it was closed on the back and he told me that it would be fineI believe this goes to implied warranty.Also on page of the manual: What is covered: The components of the sealed system (e.ghermetic compressor, condenser and evaporator) from manufacturing defects for a period of years from the date of purchaseAny damage to such components caused by mechanical abuse or improper shipping and handling will not be coveredThe compressor was not worked on and I did not ship it.I feel that Haier and [redacted] need to put their heads together for a solution to my problemIf neither of you are willing to back up this piece of junk, it doesn't say much for either company! The warranty on this unit is for 10 years parts only. [redacted] can choose a service center of his choice. They will charge him for the labor and we will provide the service center with the required part/s free of charge.
