Reviewing this case Haier will be replacing the unit through [redacted] the retailer, the custome will be able to arrange replacement through the retailer

Attached are the receipts that were provided to us for the unit.  There are purchases on 12/13/12 and 1/4/13 totaling $1,980.31.  Then there is the hand written receipt without out any indication as to who it is from dated 12/21/13.  There is a charge of $3,600.00 for a Haier system on this receipt.  With almost a year passing between the receipts it would appear that either the unit was purchased and waited almost a year to install it or that the unit was replaced in December 2013.  Being that we did not hear from Mr. [redacted] until June 22, 2015 I would assume the unit was not replaced in 2013.  The amounts being charged on the attached receipts for the HVAC unit appears to be charging twice for the unit.  Mr. [redacted] has stated that he does not want the unit repaired and purchased  and has had a used unit installed for $1,000.00.  There is no receipt for this transaction.  If the receipt for the used unit is provided we can come up with a resolution to the issue at hand.We have advised Mr. [redacted] that we will reimburse him $893.00 for the damage that was done to him roof.

The consumer purchased a unit at a very very discounted price we do not feel the unit was purchased in new condition so we are offering refund in a good faith gesture only as we feel the unit has a high probably of being used and not eligible for warranty,

Our Executive Office is arranging with [redacted] for a new unit to be provided to the customer.

The Executive Office will contact [redacted] today June 3, 2016 to resolve this issue.

The dryer has been approved to be returned.  The washing machine has been assigned to the service center the customer has requested.  If the service center is unable to repair the unit we will discuss other options with [redacted]

Haier's records indicate that we received 3 calls from [redacted] on May 10, 2015.  The paperwork was sent via email on May 10, 2015.  We received a call on May 11, 2015 stating the email was not received.  The paperwork was resent via email that was provided.  Once the...

paperwork is filled out and returned the exchange for the air conditioner will be set up.

However, the washer and dryer was not purchased for their use, it was purchased for the sale of the home, and they were new in the box when we got to the home.

I am rejecting this response because:
Your claim that Haier does not sell refurbished TV's is false.  I have attached 4 screen shots.  2 are screen shots of my order and...

the Haier listing on [redacted], listing a refurbished TV.  The other 2 screen shots are emails from Haier customer services reps acknowledging my order, trying to help me get the TV to work, and then denying the warranty.  The [redacted] screen shots clearly state "90 day warranty from Haier" under "Specifications" and "The Fine Print".  You do sell refurbished TV's and there is a printed offer of a 90 day warranty.  I have attached proof.

I am rejecting this response because:
A refund is not a stated resolution in their warranty. Only replacement or repair are allowed. Any other resolution has them in breach of the warranty terms and is unacceptable.

On 8/11 the consumer was offered a return authorization through the retailer [redacted] This was accepted verbally by the consumer reference number [redacted]

A communication error has occurred, A refund request was made today in the amount of 178.88 reference number [redacted]

Haier will be providing a $25 refund  reference ticket - [redacted]

Our Executive Office contacted [redacted] on 8/3/15 advising that the service call has been approved.

Based on the invoice dated December 21, 2013 Haier is offering $3,600.00 to fulfill our obligation for the 10 year parts warranty.  The cost for the roof repair has been resolved under a separate invoice.
