I am in receipt of the complaint submitted to your agency by Tiffane Foster. Ms*** is concerned with the fees she was charged due to her Direct Express card being reissued
A new card was expedited to Ms*** on 5/21/14. The fee was waived and her card was reimbursed $for an expedited fee on 5/19/
Additionally, Ms*** requested that an alert be placed on her card requiring two forms of identification be faxed to Direct Express prior to any changes being made on her card. Direct Express placed the alert
MsFoster's request for reimbursement of late fees and returned check fees have been escalated to Management at Direct Express for review. Ms*** will be notified by Direct Express of the outcome

Direct Express management have been unsuccessful in speaking with Mr***. Direct Express has not been able to leave voice messages for Mr*** to return their calls since his phone is not set up for voice messages. Telephone calls were made to Mr*** on July 11, July 15, and July 18th. Additonally a letter was sent encouraging him to call ***, *** *** *** at Direct Express*** can be reached at ***
I can appreciate Mr***'s frustration. To proceed in further reviewing his claim, Direct Express needs to speak with him.

I reject their saying that all my money was refunded for useI specifically received a release to a $useable credit, which I usedHowever, the $stolen from me was not release as a useable creditTherefore, I would only consider my case closed when I am made whole of the total $has been retuned, not just $Just as customer service had been telling me that $was available on 02/11/and it was not until 04/29/that it was really released, they are also telling me that the $was available on 02/11/and it was not and still has not be given to me as a credit adjustmentTherefore, I am still seeking my loss $

I am rejecting this response because:I did everything they asked to be reimbursedThey chose to side with a company that is questionable and not only that, they allowed them to charge my account AGAIN, after I cancelled my old card and ordered a new cardFrom what I've read on the complaints of other sources, this seems to be a common problem with DirectExpressI expect my funds in the amount that I asked for to be reimbursed to meI'm not giving up on this issueWhat DirectExpress did borders on illegal theft and I will take whatever means I have to, to get back what was illegally taken from meDirectExpress was supposed to protect my account and they failed to do soDo the right thing and this goes awayContinue to behave in this outright unprofessional manner and your reputation will suffer.

review the activity. He stated that there may be transactions he did not authorize
On April 23, 2014, Direct Express spoke with *** *** who advised that his claim can be disregarded since he recalls went happened with his "missing funds"

I am in receipt of the complaint submitted to your agency by *** ***. *** ***'s concern involves a dispute he filed on his Direct Express card
On 3/19/- *** *** opened a dispute with Direct Express indicating he was
billed the wrong amount by *** Mktplace for $that occurred on 3/18/
On 04/04/- Direct Express received the dispute paperwork submitted by *** ***
On 04/04/- The Claim was denied and a letter was sent to *** ***. To further investigate his claim he needs to supply additional information showing that an error occurred. Research shows that the Merchant has not credited any of the overcharge and there is prior history with this merchant; therefore, the transaction is not fraudulent. We cannot verify price or terms agreed between customer and merchant since *** *** did not supply a receipt with his dispute.

I am rejecting this response because: As I previously stated in my initial fraud claimMy card was stolen by a person known to meI filed the appropriate charges with the *** *** Police Department and provided Direct Express with that informationThe person who stole my card and was therefore able withdraw the funds from my card was my personal accountant that I had reason to trust prior to this incidentI did not authorize nor give this person my PIN number nor was I aware that he was in possession of this informationThe fact that there were no invalid PIN's used does not indicate any valid proof to validate the reasons for the denial of my claim, furthermore the ATM machines used previously by myself thus furthermore does not indicate that they were not used by the person who stole my credit cardI have been informed and thus further charges have been made against the person who stole my card and was able to remove the funds from my accountI have also stated that I would like proof validating the research conducted by Direct Express to validate the denial.
