Penn Foster did financially benefit from the service that was provided The student portal was locked so they did not provide any service after the monthly payment ended, so why should Penn Foster receive payments for future service that they did not or will not continue to provide, regardless of a one sided contract, especially if the other party felt that they were led on by having good education support, which was not provided with the service A majority of the teachers there only have Bachelor's degrees as their highest educational level Regards, [redacted] ***

Revdex.com Case Number: [redacted] Student Name: [redacted] Complainant Name: [redacted] Student Number: [redacted] To Whom It May Concern: I welcome the opportunity to address [redacted] ’s concerns [redacted] ’s son, [redacted] enrolled in our High School Diploma on August 24, by submitting a down payment and a signed enrollment agreement We are required by law to refund the amount the same method of payment that was paid Since [redacted] paid via check and credit card, the refund paid with the credit card would need to go back to the credit card first, then the remaining amount as a check [redacted] called February 19, to cancel her son, [redacted] ’s account and unfortunately the account was cancelled incorrectly Due to this error, the refund was not processed [redacted] called in March 24, to inquire about her refund check and the error was found at that time and the account was corrected Unfortunately, it was missed that [redacted] made one payment with a credit card, which stopped the refund check from printing as the refund needs to back the same method of payment On March 29, 2016, the refund was processed for the $credit card payment back to credit card ending in Lastly, on March 31, the account was cancelled for the remaining refund of $ On May 20, [redacted] called as she still did not receive her refund check At that time, I had the account reinstated and cancelled again, to try and generate the check to print I followed up with our Accounting department to ensure that this would print, and today, June 6, the check finally printed I attempted to contact [redacted] June 6, to advise her of this, however I was unable to reach her As a courtesy, the check was sent [redacted] overnight, June 6, with tracking number [redacted] *** I sincerely apologize for the series of unfortunate events both system and human error Penn Foster is devoted to the educational advancement and satisfaction of all our studentsIf you have any further questions, please contact me at ###-###-#### Sincerely, Corinne L [redacted] Student Care

Revdex.com Case Number: [redacted] Student Name: [redacted] Student Number: [redacted] To Whom It May Concern: I welcome the opportunity to address [redacted] ’s concerns [redacted] enrolled in our High School Diploma Program on July 1, by submitting a signed enrollment agreement and paying in full The Distance Education and Training Council located in Washington D.Cnationally accredits Penn Foster High SchoolIn addition Penn Foster High School is regionally accredited by The Middle States Commission on Secondary SchoolsPenn Foster High School is licensed by The Pennsylvania State Board of Private Licensed Schools In addition, it states on [redacted] ’s Student Handbook, under the FAQ that “Many of our graduates have been quite successful in going on to institutions of higher learning or receiving job promotions as a result of earning their diplomas However, if you plan to attend college or seek a particular job, you should find out the entrance requirements Some colleges and employers require a diploma earned through a resident program.” On July 18, [redacted] contacted us to state [redacted] College advised her Penn Foster was unaccreditedIn response we mailed an accreditation letter with the information stated aboveOn July 20, [redacted] called about [redacted] not accepting our diploma and requested a full refundOn the same date we advised [redacted] we needed the name and contact information for [redacted] so our high school chairman could contact themWe also advised [redacted] that, per her contract, once a student completes over fifty percent of the program they are responsible for the entire financial responsibility of the programMeaning there would not be a refund at this point since she was already paid in full [redacted] is currently at sixty-three percent completed with her educationOn this same day we spoke to [redacted] , the Chief Compliance officer at ***, and she stated after reviewing the Penn Foster website [redacted] would not accept our diploma On July 21, we left a message for [redacted] inquiring if [redacted] would accept the Penn Foster diploma if we provided them with a Certificate of Preliminary Education, which bears the seal of the Pennsylvania Department of EducationIn accordance with PaCode 5.243, graduates of Penn Foster’s High School program years of age or older may apply to the Pennsylvania Department of Education for a Certificate of Preliminary EducationIt certifies that the individual “has satisfactorily completed an approved course of correspondence study at the High School level” As of the date of this letter July 28, we have yet to receive a response from [redacted] at [redacted] College Penn Foster is devoted to the educational advancement and satisfaction of all our studentsIf you have any further questions, please contact me at ###-###-#### Sincerely, Corinne L [redacted] Student Care
