Penn Foster Veterinary Assistant Diploma is also approved by the National Association of Veterinary Technicians in America (NAVTA) Per our accreditation standards, only a licensed veterinarian or a veterinarian with credentials may act as supervisor for the externship. *** ***’s externship site was not fully declined, but we did decline the office manager as her site supervisor as she did not meet the qualifications. *** *** has two veterinarians at the site and they can act as her site supervisor*** *** just needs to send in corrected paperwork showing the change and then we can approve the site. *** *** was advised of this on June 8, 2016. I am rejecting this response because I have not received a check from Penn Foster with my money. Nor has anyone sent me a check number saying a check was even printed. I show my student account online still has a credit remaining, so I can only assume no refund has been sent. I do not consider this matter resolved and I never told anyone it was resolved. Just lying to me and telling me things that are not true does not solve anything. I am still waiting on my money. When the money has cleared my bank, I will close this complaint. Until I get evidence of an actual refund getting issued, I do not consider this matter resolved

[redacted]’s signed enrollment agreement states students who cancel within five day are due a full refund.  [redacted]’s last exam was submitted on May 29, 2015 which would have put him past the grace period for a full refund.
 
Students who complete more than ten percent and up to twenty-five percent of their exams owe twenty-five percent of the tuition including the registration, administration, shipping and any late/agency fees. This is stated on [redacted]’s signed enrollment agreement. Since [redacted] completed over twenty-one percent of his exams, he owes twenty-five percent of the tuition including the fees previously mentioned.  According to our records, [redacted] never contacted us to cancel, or we would have advised him of this.
 
It is stated in [redacted]’s signed enrollment agreement that: “You may cancel or withdraw by mailing your intent to Student Service Center, [redacted], Scranton, PA [redacted].”  Since [redacted] had never mailed his intent to withdraw and never attempted to contact our Student Care Department to withdraw his account remained open and was sent to an outside collection agency.
 
As a courtesy, I have canceled [redacted]’s account and lowered [redacted]’s liability from $669.00 to $112.00, charging only for the exams submitted.  I have notified the outside agency of these changes and the payments can be made directly to Penn Foster. [redacted] may call Student Care to make payments at ###-###-####, Monday through Friday 9am-6pm EST.

To Whom It May Concern: I welcome the opportunity to address Ms. [redacted]’s concerns. Ms. [redacted] enrolled in The Veterinary Technician Associate Degree Program on July 28, 2016 by submitting a down payment and a signed enrollment agreement.   Ms. [redacted] cancelled the program on...

September 25, 2017.  At the time of cancellation, there was a remaining liability owed for lessons taken and applicable fees according to the terms of the enrollment agreement.   We did discuss re-enrollment with Ms. [redacted] and she indicated she was looking to re-enroll when her remaining balance was less than $500.00 so she could be set up on a split pay option for both programs.  We did speak with Ms. [redacted] on December 12, 2017 and she indicated she would make a payment in the amount of $175.00 by the end of December.    We did receive a payment in the amount of $59.00 on December 12, 2017.  The account was still in arrears and our system forwarded the account to a collection agency on December 28, 2017. I have had the account removed from the collection agency.  Ms. [redacted]’s credit report will be amended.  Ms. [redacted] may make her payments directly to Penn Foster.  The current balance on the account is $500.90.  We have removed any agency fees that were charged to Ms. [redacted]’s account.  Someone from our office tried to reach Ms. [redacted] by phone yesterday and left a voicemail. If you have any further questions, please contact me directly at [redacted]. Sincerely,   Toni M[redacted]Student CARE Coordinator
