Review: I went to have my student loan consolidated and these people have not done their job. I was told that I had to wait 3 months to be approved for the loan and it's been about 6 months now and nothing still has happened. I have made several phone calls and sent several emails with no prevail. They don't answer their phone or reply to their emails and it is quite frustrating that I am having money automatically being taken out from my account when there has been no service at all. I contacted my student loan place and learned that also I am paying for services that should of been free. I want to stop my services with them and get my money back since they are breeching a contract when I have been doing nothing but posting payments on time for no service.Desired Settlement: I want my auto payments stopped, the contract terminated since I'm not being provided any service and them not answering or durning phone calls or replying to emails.

Every single payment that I have made, including the start up, fee, refunded back.

Thank you for letting us know about this complaint, UAG has been working with this client and we have come to a compromise to move forward continuing working together. The original consolidation was submitted through Great Lakes and was cancelled. Great Lakes says they tried to reach the customer but the client says she never heard from Great Lakes. The consolidation has been re submitted on behalf of the client to move forward. UAG is going to credit 3 monthly service fee payments to the client since the Department of Education and Lender are taking longer than normal. UAG will continue to check on the new consolidation and inform the client once it is approved and in program placement. If you need any further information please contact us.

Review: I signed up with UAG April 18, 2014. As of Dec 2014 nothing has been done to resolve my student loan. As of jan 14 2015 my student loan has not been contacted by UAG. I also tried calling early January and January 14, 2015 I called 3 times and left messages and none of my messages have been returned. They have been receiving payment from every month and I have not seen anything in returnDesired Settlement: I would like a full refund of all my money the money I paid up front and monthly

Thank you for sending us our client complaint. Eve one of our employees has been talking to [redacted] the client and they have come to an agreement to close out [redacted] account and part ways. From our initial conversation with the client and the information provided the best scenario for the client would be to qualify for PSLF. This client does not qualify for PSLF. Her account has been closed and refunded. If the client has any further questions she is welcome to give us a call. Thank you for your time.

Review: I contacted United Advisors Group (UAG) to help me consolidate my student loans. I found their number on the Colorado Education website, so I assumed they were a reputable company. They promised to keep my account with my current student loan company from being reported adversely to any credit bureaus by working closely with the student loan company. They also promised I would get a consolidation loan and protection from late fees for a sum of $45.00, which they automatically withdrew from my account, monthly. The withdrawal came out under a different name than UAG, which was GTX Legal Services. I gave them all of my personal information so they could work closely with these companies (the current student loan lender and the new lender). They changed my email address and my telephone number with my current student loan lender so they could be contacted instead of me. As a result, I did not know I had been turned to collections and was being reported as 60 days late until I contacted my mortgage lender to get a refinance on my home, because my husband is disabled and was not getting compensation. (He has been unemployed nearly 2 years, which is why I needed help with my student loans in the first place.) Although a consolidation was initiated, my credit was ruined. I contacted UAG s[redacted]ral times trying to rectify the situation. They said they were sorry and they told me they had emailed me. I did not get an email and their sorrow does not c[redacted]n up my credit. I tried to call them s[redacted]ral times since. I either do not get a live person, or I get disconnected mid conversation. Also, I have since [redacted]rned by my lender that they go by the name of INCO.Desired Settlement: I want a letter stating that they have discontinued working with me as a client and will n[redacted]r contact me again. I want them to send a letter to the credit bureaus to help absolve the adverse credit reporting. I want a letter to give to my mortgage lender explaining why I was reported to the credit bureaus in the first place and that it was not my fault. UAG, in fact, dropped the ball. I want them to chose a name and stick to it so lenders and consumers know whom they are dealing with and can be on the same page. This last issue caused great stress in my case.

To whom it may concern,

Review: I started with this company in October of 2014 to assit with my loans for school, I work for a non-profit agency and was promised that they would assist with getting me the loan forgiveness program for 10 years since I work for a non-profit agency, I have been paying fees for them to do their job since october and the process still has not gone through, I have sent multiple pay stubs, and I keep receiving emails from fedloan services telling me the process has not been completed, and they need additional information, when I try to contact the company I keep getting the run around and they are not filling out all of the paperwork correctly. So we are almost at a year now and the services that were supposed to be done, are still not completed. I just want to be able to reach someone and I want them to complete the process so I can start paying my loans back on an income based plan. I paid $300.00 for the inital fee and 65.00 a month since October. They are not contacting me to tell me the next steps and by the time they get to the next step the previous information is no longer valid.Desired Settlement: I would like them to complete the job that they were hired to do and it not be so hard to speak with someone, they did give me someone to speak to directly, but it takes forever for him to contact me back, and he is also not completeing the job, I would also like a refund of my money for the past year, since they did not do the job they were paid to do.

Response:

This client was upset because she received multiple letters from fed loan saying the income verification isn't completed (program placement phase). which is the last step. UAG explained to the client that her income was just recently received and submitted tot he servicer for the program placement phase. This takes 3-7 weeks on average to get approved by the servicer. Client understood and would like continue with UAG services. If you need any further information please reach out, thank you for your time.

Review: Beginning on 9/16/14, I began making payments of $53.56 to the United Advisors Group until 4/16/15, one time per month. On the dates 5/21/15 to 10/21/15 I paid the monthly amounts of $41.00; all for the total amount of $620.92.

The total amount I am owed since these payments are not being paid to my student loan.

Thank You,

[redacted]Desired Settlement: $620.92

Response:

This client is mistaken on how the program works. The fee she is referring to is the service fee broken up over 12 month for UAG service. This was stated in the signed agreement and the compliance call when the client initially signs up for UAG's service. I have attached the agreement and highlighted in purple the portion that explains the mis understanding. It is stressed several times that the client makes their student loan payment on time. UAG will call the client and discuss her concern to make sure she understands the process from start to finish.

Review: I started with United Advisors Group in October of 2014 and was led to believe UAG was buying out my loans and consolidating them into one, and giving me a more manageable monthly payment plan over a 10 year period with a large portion being forgave. I was even informed that since I was on the debt relief program that as long as I completed any school such as graduate programs within that 10 years, that any additional debt would be forgiven as well. Anyway, the first 3 months dealing with UAG were rough because I had given the gentleman simple instructions with 2 account numbers, 1 for the down payment of 280, and the other for the monthly payment of $54.17 to come out which was what I thought going towards my loans. Well they kept trying to take the money out of the wrong account and I had to deal with that for literally 3 months, it took a lengthy 3-way phone call with a person from their finance department and a rep that dealt with accounts. Finally, payments began as intended in January and stayed consistent until I get phone calls 6 months later in late June early August about how I am past due on my monthly student loan payments $1,000+ dollars and that I have not been paying a dime towards my loans. Only that I had been paying UAG monthly because they "helped" me lower my payments which I guess were supposed to be through FedLoan. In the end, I feel duped. I payed $600+ to a company who has helped me get further into debt.Desired Settlement: I would like all my money back and for there to be regulations in place for companies like these, so they are not able to take advantage of college grads who are struggling trying make ends meet and pursue a debt free life.

At this time all is needed from this client is his income verification to finalize the program placement phase. UAG has been trying to reach out to this client in order to obtain his income. The client emailed UAG today saying he is already cancelled. It is beneficial to him for his student loans to finish this last step weather UAG does it or he doe sit himself. The income must be submitted to the servicer in order to do so. It takes 2-7 weeks on average and he will be set for 12 more months until the next renewal in his repayment plan. UAG will go ahead and cancel the account out since we cant get a return call from the client. Kind Regards,United Advisors Group LLC

Review: I am trying to consolidate my student loans. I pay them monthly to help me through this process. Separate from the consolidation there is a public service loan forgiveness program. They had sent me the form to fill out for that. I have now filled it out twice and both times I have not been eligible because of the type of loans that I have. I keep telling them to not send me that anymore to proceed with the consolidation. I cannot get them to return my phone calls or to answer my email. They just keep telling me the same information over and over again. I have requested a refund for the months that I have paid them.Desired Settlement: At this point, I would just like my money back that I have paid in to them for the services I'm not receiving.

This client account was closed with a refunded. She has FFEL consolidated loans with ACS and doesn't qualify for Public Service Loan Forgiveness. UAG has been trying to contact this client back and forth since March. The agreements clearly have a fair cancellation and refund policy to protect clients that don't qualify. There is no reason for this Revdex.com complaint as UAG closed the account and refunded the money paid for the service. She has had plenty of opportunity to respond to an email or a phone call over the last couple month and this complaint is uncalled for.

Review: I paid this company an initial fee to consolidate my student loans and since the initial fee an additional amount of money is coming out of my bank account each month. I have tried multiple times to contact this company via phone and email. I have left voicemails asking to return my calls and have gotten no response. I know the additonial money coming out of my accounts is not going towards my loans because I have spoken with my new provider and they are waiting on my income to determine my amount to pay.Desired Settlement: My money returned with and explanation please.

This client thought she was being ignored and did not realize the consolidation process can take 30-120 days on average with the Department of Education. The sent in her updated pay stubs are requested and is waiting for the program placement to be complete. This client has decided to move forward as she is almost approved for her income based program.

Review: I had contacted them to help with my student loans. They were to help with all paper work going forward. I am paying them a substantial fee a month now for work they are not helping with. I was contacted by Nelnet/Department of Education- who said that I should not be paying these monthly fees since they have taken over my student loans. When I contacted United Advisers Group, they said that I am paying for their service. However, again there are no services that they are helping with since I am now dealing directly with Nelnet and the Department of Education. The money does not go to my loan payment or the interest, the customer service at UAS informed me that I am paying for their service that again they are not providing.

thank youDesired Settlement: To have charges stopped or explained since I am dealing directly with the holder of my student loans now.

Thank you for forwarding this complaint to United Advisors Group (UAG). This client signed up with UAG to process the consolidation on her behalf and get her into the income based program. UAG has followed through with every step promised on the disclosures. The client states she does not want to pay our company and UAG has don't nothing. That is an incorrect statement. People can do their taxes on their own as well but hire a CPA to assist them all the time. The UAG disclosures clearly state you can do this on your own as well a clear description of the process and steps that will be taken. the last step that needed to be take was applying for the program again since it was renewal time and the program has to be reapplied for annually. Two employees have reached out to the client to obtain her current pay stubs or tax returns in order to complete this stage. On 3/9/15 Eve a UAG employee spoke to the client requesting the income verification to finalize the program. At this time the client hung up on her. [redacted] called back and left a voice mail. At this time there has been no response from the client. UAG has done as they said they would waiting on the client at this time. The account will be closed and we will part our ways as the client is giving false negative feedback about UAG. The GTX escrow account has been closed as well and no further payment for our service will be charge. If the client has any further questions please have her contact [redacted] at UAG.

Review: The United Advisors Group claimed to consolidate my student loans. Now they do not respond to my phone calls or emails.

I am being scammed. They are taking money out of my bank account without the money going towards my student loans.Desired Settlement: I want all my money that was taken from my account refunded. Also, I want my personal information expunged from their records such as social security number, home address, phone number, email address, birthdate, and banking information.

Thank you for informing United Advisors Group LLC of this complaint. This account has been canceled out with a full refund. The client did not inform our company he had submitted a consolidation before he called us and you can only submit every six months. Since the client already submitted the consolidation on his own we cant help any further at this time. The file has been closed and a refund issued. If you need any further information please contact us.

Review: I had student loans with Mohela. The payments ended up too high for me to pay. I found United Advisors Group who stated that they would lower my payment much less (from $314.81 to $39.08 a month). Started out with a payment to them of $260.00 on June 9, 2014. They started taking $39.08 out of my checking account on July 21, 2014. They have taken a total of $455.40 from me. I still have not received any paperwork from them after numerous requests. I have received a total of 3 emails and I'm unable to get a hold of them by phone. If I do they say that I can get a hold of them at any time and give me a different name and number to call. One time I called back the number they gave me (twice) and it said "not a working number". They do not return my phone calls or email requests. I'm guessing I have the correct company as I do not even know for sure where they are from. I am behind with [redacted] as I was told not to pay them. I first spoke with a [redacted] and an [redacted]. In another phone conversation, they stated that I needed to ask for a temp forbearance or deferment from [redacted] but I'm not able to do so as I have exhausted them. I did not know this going in with United Advisors. If I had I would have not proceeded with them. Now I have so far behind with [redacted] that I'll never recover. We even received a letter from the PHEAA (PA Higher Education Assistance Agency). United Advisors in the beginning stated that it would take 30-90 days. Its been 182 days (6 mos) with no results. They will tell you that they're still waiting for the consolidated to go through with another company but that is what they keep telling me and the amount of time grows. I don't believe them anymore. I have been trying to fix my credit and now I'm worried that it is getting worse. I'm so upset and wish I had never spoke at all with them. I just want to cancel all of this and I want the amount I have paid into them, $455.40 refunded to me. Please help meDesired Settlement: I just want to cancel their service totally as they have not done anything for me. I want to have $455.40 refunded back to me. That is the amount that they have taken from me. I want nothing more to do with them and I will be stopping payment at the bank to them.

To whom it may concern,

Review: I paid UA 400$ in October to consolidate my student loans. I was told my fee would be 52 a month. I have spoke with fed loan servicing and found out that at no time have they received money for my loans and they are 4 months past due. I have called and left voice mail as well as emailed. Today I finally spoke to [redacted] who told me the she wasn't sure and I asked to speak to someone that can explain where the money has gone. [redacted] hung up. I called back and she picked up the phone and disconnected. I left voice mail and email demanding I be refunded all money paid to UAG and I want the monthly draft stopped.federal loan servicing explained hundreds of calls come in daily that people are in the same situation. She then placed the deferment on my account and consolidated my loans. UAG ripped me off about 800$ and I want my money back.Desired Settlement: I want all monies paid to be refunded and no more drafting my account. This company lied to me.

This client has decided to move forward with UAG. UAG has consolidated the clients loans from Fed loan and is now with Nelnet. UAG is waiting on the clients pay stubs to move forward. As soon as UAG received the pay stubs the program placement phase will be complete. If you need any further information please let me know.

Review: I was told UAG was going to consolidate my student loans, I received a letter from Federal Student Loan Agency stating that, Due to my student loan balances totaling over $20,000, I was eligible to receive benefits from a recent law that passed regarding Federal student loan programs including Total Forgiveness in some cases. I call Fed Loans about my loans they informed my that I didn't have a payment. So I calles UAG to cancel and get my money back. The woman that answered pretty much called my a dumb [redacted] and told me she wasn't giving me a my money backDesired Settlement: I would like to be reimbursement for the entire amount that I was charged from July 2014 to July 205 plus the 270 down payment fee to start process.

Thank you for sending UAG this client complaint. When a UAG representative spoke with this client she was extremely rude cursing and yelling she was never told she can do this for free on her own through the department of education. This sis clearly written in the agreements signed by the clients as well stated in the compliance call two times. She continued insulting UAG and its employees demanding a full refund. She was told no and she hung up. She then called in again cursing at another employee that she wants her refund. A manager called her back and she continued with the insults stating that the manager called her a "dumb [redacted]", which never happened. UAG emailed her a copy of her contract and told her to review it and give me a call if she has questions when she gets to a computer. The client said that she wasn't going "to read [redacted]" and that she will continue to keep on calling until we give her a refund. Finally UAG told her they will refund one payment of $31.08 and if she continues to insult me or our employees we will file a consumer complaint against her. Client hung up. UAG will no longer speak to this disrespectful human being. Nothing was done incorrectly on the file. UAG held up their end of he agreements and will no longer assist or speak to this person. File is closed.

I recently follow up on what's going on with United Advisors Group. They were able to get my payment down to almost 50% less than what it was with Navient alone and now they are working on getting me into a program where the remainder would be forgiven after 10 years in a low retention job. They promised a lower payment but I still can't complain at the reduction they were able to get me. They have been helpful but not in the exact way they said they would be. Basically, it sounds like I'm paying them $40 a month to take care of things I could do on my own, but I find stressful and confusing. I'm undecided about whether or not its worth it so far. I'm going to stay enrolled in the program for a few more months to see how it goes.
