UMW sold our mortgage to another company WHILE THERE IS A SUBTANTIAL UNSETTLED ESCROW AMOUNT OF OVER $40,000 resulting from an insurance claim reimbursement! That money is owed to my repair contractor for FIVE MONTHS of REPAIR WORK! They supposedly made the payment in February but conveniently wrote it to the wrong entity... so they were said they were reissuing the payment to the "correct" party. In the meantime, the loan was transferred. I have enrolled in the new mortgage holder's online system and there is no indication that the new mortgage company has the $40,000. The system shows it disbursed by UMW in February. Where is the money!?! Our loan should have never, ever been transferred while there was such a pending item. Not good. I wish I could leave a review for zero stars.

Had the worst experience with UWM. My boyfriend and I bought a house recently. We both completed billpay payments early for amounts in excess of the monthly mortgage payment. I had to call them to confirm why I hadn't seen the payments posted. The representative told me we don't take partial payments and they are being rejected. I asked who was going to notify us of this issue. Her response was that they are mailing a letter today, February 28th notifying us. I told her March 1st is our payment due date. A letter mailed out over a week after we made the payment does me NO good when Monday is the first. She seemed confused as to why I was upset. Ridiculous. Can they not perform a simple math function? Thoroughly frustrated. I can only hope that they sell our mortgage to a more reliable company.

Manage my home loan with UWM has been incredibly frustrating. Their mobile app in the iOS App Store does not work. It fails to authenticate every time. When attempting to send a secure message on their website in Safari, the messaging platform fails to authenticate. Upon trying in another browser(Firefox) I can load the form but get a 400 bad request error when trying to submit the message. It is absolutely insane to me that a multimillion dollar company can have such a pathetic online presence.

If I could, I would go back to PennyMac for these reasons alone. These simple technological misses make me seriously question the security of the payment information needed to pay my mortgage.

Ah well that would explain the issues with the app. However that was not communicated to me by the agent I spoke with a few months ago. They simply said they will forward the problem description on to the dev team and to try again later. As for the issues accessing the site via the web browser, Ill reach out to that email. Thanks.

Not a bad Loan Servicer while they lasted (hardly 6 months). However, they will quickly sell your loan to the highest bidder and they don't care that the Lender they sell your loan to is dishonest or uses predatory practices. Not sure if this is intentional, they just don't care or both? Disappointing.

Please don't read too much into these reviews. UWM is the best wholesale lender on the planet. To give some reference- they fund over 11 BILLION with a B in loan business a year- but there are only 58 total reviews on this site. The sample size you are looking at is like seeing a grain of sand in a sparkling blue pool and then calling the pool dirty... Amazing company.

lack of communication to me caused me problems with my loan , several staff told me different answers to my complaint!

Good company but I would not recommend them to no one they bring my mortgage rates so high and they try in no sort of way to help.

Please understand that the only time the interest rate on a loan would change is if you selected an adjustable rate mortgage and in that instance the rate would only change in accordance with the loan documents. The total monthly payment amount will change if you have an escrow account and the amount needed to pay taxes or insurance changes since a change in taxes or insurance would require a change in the amount collected each month for the escrow portion of your monthly mortgage payment. Unfortunately we could not locate your account using only your name. I do understand that taxes and insurance may go up but my insurance I had control over to my makes changes. I had changed my insurance from a month ago and that was not added to my account to makes changes . Taxes I understand went up as well but yet still my mortgage rates went from $1425_$2105.I called uwm so many times for someone to try and helps us but was not successful.this was a very very high increased

There appear to be many consistently "bad" reviews then suddenly one will pop up with 5 stars which I find odd. The bad reviews such as the one that precedes this one, are very detailed and I don't doubt them at all. I'm now concerned--as a fairly new customer-- that I might have a similar nightmarish experience. I will tell you this: I have now submitted 2 requests over a half-hour ago for a password reset and was advised that the instructions were sent to me; NOT. It is only Jan 2nd, and perhaps there are some businesses still closed, but this is a "Financial Institution" so, I would expect someone to be available, and since this is a "technical" issue; there's no good reason at all for why I still haven't been reached to change my password, which, by the way, I do routinely 2-3 times a year for added security; and, also because I'd like to pay my mortgage "without paying extra fees" for which UWM will charge if I do it by phone. I would also imagine that they must be aware of the numbers of people who write checks these days have greatly diminished. Let's see if they've emailed me the instructions I've asked for... twice. NOPE. Not a good start to the New Year UWM. Knock? Knock?
UWM Please get it together. I'm not going to give it a 3rd try today. Seems no one is minding the store anyway.

United Wholesale Mourtguage sent the wire for my loan to the wrong title company. They refused to correct their mistake until the money was returned to them. However they let the seller, correct title company, seller's attorney, my attorney and myself believe that a wire could still be sent after their daily deadline as I left work to sit in a title company waiting for a wire they knew could not come.

Once the money was retuned to them they sent the wire back to THE SAME, wrong, title company. They were aware of this second mistake this morning by 10:00 and appear to have intentionally run out the clock this afternoon in an effort to once again recoup their money before fixing their mistake. They let my seller his attorney, and the person selling their house to him, their attorney, our title company, and another title company wait all day for this wire they refused to send.

I cannot stress enough how thoughtless this company was and is about myself or the seller. Four days after my scheduled closing and they still cannot get it together. Zero Stars.

I think it's the worst mortgage company I've ever dealt with, and I've bought and sold homes for over 30 years. Their customer service sucks, their attention to detail sucks, their attitude when they don't respond to inquiries which could cause a late payment sucks. So, all in all they completely suck.

When they give you your paperwork, it has a "Loan number" on it. When I set it up to have the payments auto-deducted from our checking account they sent out a form asking for my loan number. I filled out THEIR form, with all the information requested. Scanned and emailed it back to them, requesting that if they need anything additional to please let me know. When my next payment was coming due, I wanted to make sure everything was in order, so I tried to call to see if they had it set up. They put me on hold, then I received a message that they were busy, and I should leave a message, then they hung up.

I tried to attain the information via their internet site, to no avail. It simply kept saying that there was no record of my loan. Mind you, I'm using THEIR paperwork to enter the information into the site. After several attempts, I was finally able to reach a person and explained my frustrations with them. I eventually was elevated to a supervisor, who it appears job description was to lay the blame at the feet of the customer. He informed me that I had not sent in the additional information they needed to set up automatic payments. The problem is, THEY NEVER ASKED FOR ANY ADDITIONAL INFORMATION!! They will charge $48+ additional dollars if you are ever late for a payment, but they didn't process THEIR form which I returned to them, because the LOAN NUMBER on my paperwork was not the number they wanted, even though that is what it asked for on the ACH form. What they wanted was the "SERVICE" number. ?? They never corresponded with me one time, only auto generated reference numbers were sent to me to show that I had contacted them and they would get back to me in a couple days.

The really ridiculous part of dealing with UWM is that they can't get very important paperwork correct. For some reason they think I live in Nebraska, I don't, I live in New Mexico. Simple oversight right? No, it's a total lack of professionalism. I won't ever deal with these clowns again, and I recommend anyone else stay as far away as possible from this outfit.

I was told by the mortgage broker that while my mortgage would be sold, the servicing won't. The mortgage got sold and shortly there after the servicing of my loan. They lied to me. Tried contracting the broker...nada no return email/phone calls. I tried UWM and they said to contact the new servicing company who are absolute jokes. I got screwed even despite doing my homework. Beware of these jerks.

They do not report to ANY of the credit bureau's. I would be very leary of using this company if your ability to build credit with your mortgage payment is important to you.

Removed funds from my mortgage escrow account I needed to.pay property insurance. Perpetually "researching" for 6 weeks. If I can't replace them I will not have insurance and be in default of my mortgage terms. I think they are tying to steal the property.
