The school should let you see the worksheet and I have been with my class for four years and I cannot graduate with them. I missed one paper which is the worksheet the other part of the class I done correctly and all this for that one worksheet. but about the rest of the work I have done in that class. I say just let me redo the worksheet over. I feel this is not fair my other class members have their cap and gown's and degrees I worked hard for these four years. I just do not understand for one worksheet that was not graded. So suspending me for six months and keeping me from graduating with my class is going to teach and do what now. Explain that to me.

The University of Phoenix online school is a joke. It is a wonder that they receive funds from the [redacted] for students to attend. First of all, I attended a course where the instructor didn't interact with the students at all for the first few weeks. Therefore students were asking questions, participating in discussions, and she had no comment. I told my instructor in the second week that I did not feel I was getting a valuable education with this instructor and I wanted to get out of the class. I expressed that the class was substandard and I was not pleased with the level of "education". The school charged me for the class anyway. They charged me and took [redacted] funds for that class.
I even went through an entire 9week course. I turned in all of my assignments. The day after the class was over, I received a Withdrawal grade. I went from an A grade to a Withdrawal. They are refusing to give me credit for the course and they have charged me (and the [redacted]) for this class. They told me I could take the course all over again (at no charge) like they were doing me a favor. I have filed a small claims case against the University of Phoenix for fraudulent billing practices. That's not all....
When I found out about the Withdrawal grade, I immediately requested that I be dropped out of my current courses and from the University entirely. I told them on the second day of class that I wanted to leave their school. I emailed both of my professors, my counselor, and the Office of Dispute Management. They didn't drop me until the second week of class. They are now trying to charge me and the [redacted] for these courses that I requested I wanted dropped.
I would suggest to anyone that is already a student at University of Phoenix to check your bill thoroughly. The school is known for their billing errors and skimming money from the [redacted] by using fraudulent billing procedures. I would also suggest that if you have found that you are a victim of this school, please go to your local small claims court to file a case against them. Also report them to the [redacted] for fraud by visiting [redacted]

No disrespect to you Ms. [redacted], but there is a confusion and a misunderstanding going on.  Let me help clarify some things to get the story more accurate. In your reply where you said, “The University can only hold an account for a limited amount of time and had to transfer your account to collections when payments were not received in a timely manner. After exhausting all avenues for collections, credit reporting is the final action applied to a student account.” I had not received anything notifying me that I owed any money. If anything I was talked down to with some disrespect when I made my choice to leave the University of Phoenix. I don’t know what avenues were exhausted to get in contact with me because I had known I owed money I would have worked on a payment arrangement earlier. Also, once I knew I owed money I worked towards paying off what I owed. Also, why is it that when I made the payment arrangement with the collection agency I was told I would have the debt removed from my credit report once I paid off the debt in full with a letter stating that in writing included, but once I completed payment I have not received this letter? I don’t understand when I call the collection company whom your company sent this debt to the collection company says they do not have my account on file, and to call the University of Phoenix? But when I call the University of Phoenix I get told there’s nothing they can do, given a fake phone number, or told the department who can help doesn’t want to take my call.  Logically speaking do you think there’s something wrong with that? Yes, my account is settled financially, but it is not settled with the agreement made upon paying the debt off. Being honest with you it looks really odd that with an agreement made to have my debt removed from my credit report after payment is made, the payments were made successfully, and the account is still on my credit report which I'm getting the hardest time about getting an agreement to be honored.

Revdex.com (Revdex.com) as a signed copy of a [redacted] release form was received.   Best regards,

I could go on for pages and pages, but it would be too long. When I resigned from the company on July 12th, 2014, the company immediately dropped me from my health insurance. This is the first place I've ever had this happen. Also, as an academic counselor, we were required to get at least 2 recommendations from other students. The company really pushed its employees to get recommendations when we were supposed to be counseling students on their programs. They were having students enrolling who were fresh out of jail with the idea that student loans will be plenty and they could live off that. These particular students had no personal computer and no Internet access and were told by their enrollment counselors that they could "just go to the library to go to school." Counselors bully up on students to keep them in classes they can't afford and when the money runs out and the student has no more loans to pay for their overpriced classes, they're forced to drop out or they're told to find alternative loans. YES, their answer for students is to seek out MORE LOANS!!!! The University records phone conversations of its employees and the employees were told that it would be for training purposes. However, this was not the case. Workers were constantly berated as these recordings were used against employees for their evaluation. This is the most unethical company I've ever worked for and nepotism is the rule of the day.

I have followed up with the student and provided options.  I will get back to her once we do get more information.  Thanks! [redacted] - Called student to talk about transfer credits and pre-evals. Student concerned that only 20.67 credits transferred in while she was told she...

would have 45+. This was completed back in June/July of 2014. Let her know that while we do like to help students and make sure they understand what courses are transferable, pre-evals are not official and the students file needs to be evaluated to see what can actually be accepted. Let her know while the AA was only 20.67 credits, she would have received 47.67 and possibly more is going into the [redacted] instead. There are more gen ed areas for credits to apply and upper division coursework might also have the possibility of being applied upon further review. Also let her know about the new [redacted]. This is a Bachelor's degree with enroute Associate. It just rolled out at the beginning of April so might be an option if she really wants the Associate Degree. She would really like to know a little bit more about the courses that will apply in the [redacted]. I will have her AC follow up on that request to ensure we do get an accurate assessment so she can be sure if she does want to move from the [redacted] to the [redacted]. She appreciates the information but still upset of the disconnect. Apologized for this but let her know again that pre-evals are not official or guaranteed. Once admissions and evaluation reviews her file upon matriculation, this is when we can get an accurate determination. And even at that point, we can still submit a ticket to have other courses reviewed. In her case, why was there nothing applied to the comm arts gen eds when she began the [redacted] process. This is something we can always do to help students. Student understood and will wait fo us to get back to her after reviewing her transfer credits. Provided student with my contact info via email. No further questions. [redacted] MS/AJS, MS/PStudent Services Manager, Certificates & Shared/Transfer
