Upright kept the process as simple and painless as possibleWe never felt like we had been forgotten, and we received regular status updates throughout the whole process

I am the managing attorney at UpRight Law for Enhanced Service Immediately after being notified about this complaint, I contacted this former client and we discussed the following: Law firms are governed by a great number of laws regarding representation and the treatment of funds that are paid to the firm Because of the complexity of these laws and the need for the law firm to stay compliant with these laws, sometime clients who ask for refunds need to be a little patient while the firm goes through all of the necessary steps to make sure all of those laws are satisfied The average refund time is approximately business days Also, not all members of a law firm are authorized to move the money in the accounts owned and operated by the law firm We're very sorry that this former client felt frustration at having to speak with multiple attorneys about her case, but the need to talk to attorneys at a law firm is simply unavoidable when a client wants to make significant changes to her case file The refund is being processed right now and this former client was notified of this on the same day that she entered this complaint

I am the managing attorney at UpRight Law for Enhanced Service Immediately upon receiving this complaint, we pulled up this case file and looked into this former client's issue Unfortunately, there was a gap in communication between what this client was told and what was communicated to management That gap caused improper expectations on the part of the client and an usually long process time for this refund We apologize for our mistake and the refund has since been processed We wish this former client the best of luck in the future

The firm has been very helpful in working with me on my issues

I had been worried for quite a while, knowing no matter how hard I tried I could not get ahead on my bills due to health problems last year it was really bad I saw there ad on [redacted] and thought it doesn't hurt to find out they are wonderful So caring, so informative, so supportive They even went so far as to help me with a local attorney I believe more businesses should follow their example!

This refund has now been processed and paid We regret that there was a delay in the issuance of the refund We wish this former client the very best in her pursuit of financial freedom and all of her future endeavors

I would not recommend this company at all They are attentive when it comes to collecting their fees, however, once they have their payment they are lax at best when completing the service they were paid for We paid our fee over two months ago and we have yet to be filed I have gotten all the required documents to them with in a day or two of them asking for them and it has taken them weeks to get back to me, even after numerous phone calls, faxed and emails We finally had our first attorney meeting and were told we could not file chapter 7, had they done their do diligence prior to the call, we would not be suffering another delay At the time of the phone call with the attorney all he did was huff and puff expressing his annoyance of having to deal with our case I am sure they record their calls and I wish their senior partners would listen to our call So here we are more than two months later and no closer to getting our case filed My advice, do not use this firm

client so we make a determination about what the client can and cannot do in the bankruptcy processIncluded in that is an estimation of the amount of debt that the client may haveWhen a client estimates their own debt to be at a certain level, we have no reason at that time to disbelieve themIn this situation, our client estimated a little higher than was the reality of her debt profileSince we are a law firm dedicated primarily helping our clients with their debt, it becomes difficult to help those people who do not have much debtThis client and I discussed this and I provided to her an accounting of everything done on her file thus farI emailed that accounting to her about a week ago with an invitation to contact me with any questionsShe has not done so, so I believe that she is satisfied with her resultWe wish her the best of luck with all of her future endeavors

On August 31, I spoke to this client about this complaintI explained at that time that we begin work on all of the files at the time that the client hires UpRight Law to help resolve their debt problemsI further explained that we begin this work based on the information that we get from the client at the time they hire usWe do not now, nor have we ever, thought that this client lied about her informationStill, the information ended up being incorrectWe moved forward with the case on the good faith belief that the information was accurateAt the end of that conversation, I agreed to complete a full accounting of the file and provide to her any refund that she is due
Later that same day, on August 31, 2015, I completed the accounting of the file and emailed it to the clientThat email read:

On Tuesday, September 1, 2015, I called the client back and left a voice mail letting her know that I would be happy to go over the accounting with her and discuss any of her concernsThe client did not opt to call me back

You replied to my email with only an email addressDid you mean to ask me something?

The next day, on September 2, 2015, I called the client again and left another voice mail asking her to call me back if she has any questions or concerns about the accounting or her refund amountThe client again chose not to call me back
Yesterday, on September 8, 2015, our response to the Revdex.com was due, so I responded that the case was resolved because I had no reason to believe the client had any further concerns
When I learned today that the client has concerns that have not been addressed, I called her againThere was no answer and I have not gotten a call back yet
Should this client decide that she would like to discuss these issues or any others with me, I am here to help resolve her concernsI have given her my personal contact information many times, including todayWe at UpRight Law take very seriously our commitment to our clients and I would love to do anything in my power to resolve any concerns that she still has

Iam takeing further action because Upright is charging me hunderd dollars of my money for calls and I dont understand why and also that was never stated In the contractI just feelthatI have been scam the very frist time when they called me .I had felt I was scam and I tryed to back out of bankruptcy but *** avised me this would be good to go forward and u will be happy so I went forward and then find out iam not eligible for bankruptcy I never lied about anything everything is recorded I was always honest .please refund whats owed to me thank you I payed hundred dollars

I am the Managing Attorney at UpRight Law for Enhanced Service. When I was notified of this complaint earlier today, I immediately reached out to this client and we came to a very quick resolution to her concerns.At UpRight Law, we take in clients based on the information that the client gives
us during that consultation. In circumstances where we are given information that later turns out to be incorrect, adjustments have to be made to the plan we set in place at the time of the intake. In this case, there was some confusion about when this client last filed for bankruptcy. At the time of the intake, we were told that this client has a prior bankruptcy just over years ago. By law, a person cannot file for a chapter bankruptcy more than every years and receive a discharge in that bankruptcy. We accepted that information as true and moved forward with the payment plan that this client asked UpRight Law to set up for her. During the process of building this case, we discovered that the time of the prior bankruptcy was actually less than years ago. Since the client was only wrong by about a year, we offered to hold her case at no extra charge and file it for her in months, when she became discharge eligible. On February 1, the client called us back and let us know that she thought the law was unfair and she just wanted a refund. UpRight Law informed the client that we would have to perform an accounting of the case to determine the amount of the refund. We have now completed that accounting, informed the client of her refund amount and she is quite pleased with her result. In addition to her refund, I have given the client my personal contact information and assured her that should she choose to file a case when she becomes discharge eligible in November, we would credit her future case with the amount she already paid. I went on to explain all of the legal options and asked her to give me a call if there is ever anything we can do to help her in the future. She agreed and we're very happy to have resolved this matter so quickly and put her in a position to make the best decisions going forward. UpRight Law wishes her all the best of luck with all of her future endeavors

Although I have not been a client long, it has been a great experience so farThey have been working with me diligently to accomplish my goals

I am a managing attorney at UpRight Law. When I received this complaint, I immediately began investigating this case file. By the time this complaint was received, a full refund had been processed by our team here.Clearly, This former client's intent to hire the firm was misunderstood by
the individuals with whom she spoke. When people contact our firm in inquire about services and give the representatives their debit card information and go through a full intake, it is common for them to understand the person is hiring this firm to represent them in a bankruptcy matter. Obviously, that was not the case here and we apologize for any inconvenience or frustrations that she experienced

well for or month I was a costomer and a rescu in my fanancial problems and they did help evething was wounderful and alot of support.I think if eny one a grop of lawyer.up right law is the one thank so much for your help
