Review: I was contacted by USSLH regarding my student loan consolidation. They told me since I was a hospital employee I could get loan forgiveness and my payments would be $49 per month after 3 payments of $196. I was pay $350 per month and thought I was going to be saved. I'm a single mom and need every penny I earn. I got a call from the department of education who has my loans now. They told me USSLH was doing this to thousands of people. They never disclosed to me they were 3rd party. I tried to call them right away to stop the process and nobody ever answered the phone. The message just kept saying "somebody will be with you in 3 minutes", well 3 minutes turned into 45 min with out getting a person on the line. I blocked them from my account and they put through charges under 3 different names in order to get around the bank block. The dept of education advised me to file a complaint with the FTC. I just want my payments of $196 back and for them to stop charging me. Needless to say now that I canceled my bank account they are stalking me demanding their money. I want to break down and cry.Desired Settlement: To have them stop disputing my banks request to refund my account and stop stalking me for payments.

After I contracted my federal loans they let me know that everything that this company was offering is absolutely free online and that the federal loan company is gladly there to help you sign any papers that I needed. So I decided to contact them and letting them know that I wouldn't need their services because one they had not done anything to lower my federal loan payments or deferring them they still needed to charge me what was 50% of the full services which is 300 dollars. I received my consolidation packet in the mail from them with various in-corrections like my name was misspelled and the references were misspelled also. If they really wanted to help a student out of loan debt they would make sure that everything is factual and correct. I was not looking forward paying 300 dollars that I don't have because they only once said that there is only a 3 day grace period to cancel their services which I definitely don't find helpful since it takes 5 business days to get all of these things done. Overall this could of just been fixed with them cancelling my account and accepting a payment back plan. I'm not here to not pay them back but coming up with 300 in two weeks is just not helpful.

Review: In late November I signed the agreement to become part of the advabtage program through this company. I made the $99 payment and have made a $200 payment for the program and a $49 payment for my student loan payment. I have been hounded by the company who my student loans were through because of missed payments. My thoughts were that NSSLH was handling my payments for my student loans. If they are not where is the money I am paying you going? When I first signed, I was told by an employee that I didnt need to pay my loan company for my student loans. I called today to cancel service and the lady I spoke to talked down to me and was very rude. I want to part ways with this company and want a refund for all the money I have paid and to no longer do business with this company.Desired Settlement: I want a refund for all the money I have paid this company, a total of $348 . I also want to no longer be under a contract with this company.

Review: I was seeking help with my student loans when I spoke with [redacted] at US Student Loans Help. The program sounded good over the phone so I signed up. I was sent a contract in the mail to review and sign. Once reading the information they sent I did not want to continue to do business with the company. I called to cancel but was told I was already in a binding contract and would have to pay an additional $400 to the already $210 I had already given them. I asked what they would do if I refused to pay them the remainder, they told me they would report me to the credit agencies and damage my credit. How can I enter into a verbal contract it the hard paper copy is not what they sold me over the phone?Desired Settlement: I feel since no work was acutely done on my behalf except for the mailing of a contract, I should not have to pay any more money to them and receive a refund on $149. I am okay with them keeping the $99 deposit I was required to give to cover their mailing and time costs. I would also like to have this information posted on your web site incase a future person knows how they will be treated and get tricked into paying for a service they my feel is not right for them once they see the contract

Review: I was called by a man over my cell phone- had a different company and number around October 2014 who I believe the man's name was [redacted]. He wanted to help me consolidate my student loans to the University of the Rockies in CO- took 9 courses online- after dropping out I learned the college allegedly lied to me about the school's accredidation which I believe is fraud. [redacted] told me over my cell phone that if I didn't act 15% of my disability would be offset and I believe he stated: "You wouldn't want that". My first payment of $180 was made about November 2014. $130 payment to US Student Loan SE was made in December 2014. In January 2015 I paid $59 calling telling them due to changing addresses-personal safety reasons I had extra charges and was told that was fine. Also around December 2014 I was told this company had consolidated my loan. In late February 2015 I received an "offset notice" to my Social Security check. I immediately called, left a voice mail with no return call. Around March 10, US Student Loan tried to take out about $121 without my permission. Due to catching this and contacting my bank Wells Fargo immediately the $121 was credited back. I'm also waiting for a letter to respond to my request showing where my money went to. As of April 8th, no response. I allege this is a student loan consilodation scam. Note: 3 payments since November 2014= $369 which meant it went towards $500 to consolidate my loan and the consolidation never occurred. I have a letter just received in the mail from Federal Student Aid on page 2 of a 3 page letter there was a statement no payments had been made.Desired Settlement: 1. Refund of $369. 2. Letter to the Dept. of Education stating I was being misled about payment on my student loan.3. Letter to the US Treasury Dept. of Treasury stating that I was mislead in paying my student loan so I can have the "offset cancelled".4. Punitive damages of $434 for last two payments held on my Social Security check

Review: I was referred to this company by a friend. One of the things that brought be peace was the fact that this a Christian based company - However, with that said. I would expect that customer service would not be an issue, as if I am dealing with Corporate America - I believe that somewhere after speaking with Lori and then going to the next phase a ball was fumbled and then dropped. I explained to Lori that I had been declared 100% totally disabled. I have not been able to work a full time job since July of 2011, and have had NO income since 2012. I am still awaiting to hear from SSD. This has been a stressful and painful journey the last 4-5 years. So to be able to get this burden of student loans forgiven/discharged is a blessing. They told me the charge and that I could be on a payment plan. I paid the first 50.00 which again. I advised you I have NO INCOME, so to pay them means, I am going without something else. However, after sending in my paperwork I begin to get call after call from my guarantors, I asked USSLS how long the process would be, they said something, I honestly can't remember. Well today I get call from a guarantor I advised them that I was consolidating for loan forgiveness because of my disability, and the only company that handles that is [redacted]. So he out of concern that I was getting scammed xfered me to them, where I find out - I did not need loan consolidation. That once I start my application with them they contact all my lenders, all I need to do is feel out the paperwork and have my dr feel out the form. They advised me there is no fee. I speak with [redacted] (I believe) tell her my situation that I need to stop or cancel my agreement as I have only paid 50.00 because [redacted] stated that consolidation is not necessary for me. [redacted] gets forceful in tune with me telling my [redacted] is not giving me all the info, and that I can't just change my mind. I explained that I am not continuing an agreement based on false pretenses.Desired Settlement: I am looking to be removed from this contract -Why would I try to collect and find 500 additional dollars? When the company that handles what I need does everything for free. I did not ask for original $50.00 back which would be nice, or the money paid to return packet to the wrong company. Which would be nice as well. [redacted] advised me that my packet was sent to Great Lakes - when in fact it should have been sent to [redacted] directly from what I have read from other Revdex.com COMPLAINTS, my guarantor and [redacted]. I stated that this was not a good fit for me I believe that if a company is out to truly help they should be upfront and helpful in everyway. No one every told me from USSLS my federal student loans qualified for discharge through the Dept of Education because I am 100% totally disabled. I was advised because I have no income I quality for 0.00 payments and in 3 years they will recheck my status and that after 20 years my loan will be discharged if I was in the same situation

Mrs. [redacted],

Review: As a successful college graduate I knew that I would have to pay several thousand dollars back in student loans. I was concerned about how I would go about doing so. Thus, I was referred to a student loan assistance program. I spoke with a lady named [redacted] to assist me. [redacted] was kind and immediate with her responses. She accessed my student loan account and assured me that I would receive loan forgiveness and a low monthly rate of about $425.00. She said that that was the best rate I would get. Before signing the contract with this company, I wanted to take my time and really consider my options but [redacted] made several promises regarding the services of this company and that I would be better off working with them. Thus, I went ahead, signed the contract and paid about $700.00 for the services. After my payments were scheduled I did not hear from [redacted] again. In December I panicked because I didn't receive confirmation about my loans or my new payment amount. I contacted [redacted] because she was the only person that I knew from the organization. I expected that I would continue working with her to work through my loan issues. When I called her , she did not call back rather she sent me an email that referred me to a link to receive service. The link did not work. I promptly called her again to request that I speak with someone one personally to resolve my loan issues. After reaching out to her about three times she finally got to me. She noted that she would follow up with a supervisor and I have not yet heard from her or the supervisor. Therefore, I contacted the federal loans body myself. I found out that I could consolidate my loans for FREE. In addition, they were able to get my loan payment down to $250.00 a month. They shared that my loans were not given a full consolidation and that the company didn't include the appropriate information. Also, I was not listed for the forgiveness program. I ended up doing all those things MYSELF!Desired Settlement: Due to the lack of service that I received from this organization. I would like a full refund of the monies I paid ($700). I was very disappointed that this company did not guide me through this process as they said they would. In addition, they did not process my loan information correctly.

Review: I signed up with US Student Loan Services in the hopes of being able to take care of my student loans once and for all. I was able to get help putting some money down towards the $499 they charge to prepare the papers but that has changed. I contacted them to see what I could do to postpone payments and about a payment that was taken from money I needed for another bill and the lady I talked to said she reversed the refund and that they would continue to take any money they could and there was nothing I could do about it. The person I talked to also said she would put me straight into collections for not being able to pay. Also there is no record that they have done anything to actually consolidate my loans.Desired Settlement: I would like a full refund of what I have paid and I no longer want to deal with the company.

Hello [redacted],

Review: I contacted USSLA to consolidate my many students loans in May 2014. I made them aware that I had a bankruptcy on my credit, but that it would be discharged in August 2014. After my initial consultation with [redacted], I was pleased with the monthly payment amount for my loans, so I agreed to pay the $600 consolidation fee to $600 (done in 3 payments to my credit card). Two months went by (July)and I never heard from anyone from USSLA at all. I contacted them, as I made it clear that my loans were coming off forebearance in August 2014. [redacted] told me that she needed a letter from my attorney stating that my bankruptcy was being discharged next month. Even though I was annoyed that no one called me to tell me this was holding up my file, both my attorney and I sent in multiple copies of this letter that same day (I had to call back to verify that they got it. No one called me. They claimed they never got the first two even though we had confirmation pages.) I didn't hear from anyone again for another month and now my Fed Loans were due (August). I called on 8/18/14 and spoke with a very nasty rep named [redacted], who said she couldn't help me or give me an update. She would have to have her supervisor call me later that night or tomorrow morning. She then transferred me to [redacted] again, spoke to and explained my difficulty. She said that she would have a supervisor call me and that my file had been mailed out - not sure what that meant. I called back again on 8/19/14 at 5 pm EST, as no one called me back. [redacted] + her supervisor called me at 6:45 pm EST. They were both unhelpful and made the situation much worse and much more frustrating. Apparently, my file documents had not been even mailed out to me yet and they tried to explain to me that this was my fault because I had a bankruptcy on my record, which your recordings will clearly tell you I reported back in May. They in no way accepted responsibility for dropping the ball + only said they were mailing the docs out that night.Desired Settlement: I would like at least half of my $600 fee refunded, as this company dropped the ball on my case numerous times and their customer service is horrid. I am yet to see any work that they have done on my file, as I was just told that the documents were mailed out this evening. The $600 fee was only to cover "document preparation" which I do not think was done in an adequate, timely manner.

Response:

In review of this file and the recordings we found that the client was told after the loans were removed from the bankruptcy and the NSLDS reflected the removal, the documents would be filed. A letter from the bankruptcy attorney would not suffice as the DOE would reject the consolidation due to loan status.

Review: Sometime last year my husband and myself enrolled in USSLS to consolidate federal student loans. I received notification we were enrolled and we needed to send income information. This information was sent 6 times and no one confirmed or contacted us that it was recieved only that they hadn't recieved it. We gave up when we received a letter that we would be cancelled, figured it was par for the course. Months went by and in June I was contacted by a person who refered me to USSLS asking me how the program was going. I told her what I just mentioned above and then she started helping me contact USSLS for answers. I recieved an email June 12th that my loans were paid in full on 03/05/2014 and that we are late on the consolidated loan payment and the payment is over $400 because they need income information. After about 3.5 weeks of trying to get someone to answer the phone or return a call to the correct telephone number I make contact with [redacted] Wells, who cleverly tries to shift the blame on to me for not contacting them. I had left numerous voicemails and emails prior to speaking with [redacted]. He told me my loans were sold to FedLoans and I needed to submit an application and income for my payment to be recalculated. The next day [redacted] sends an already filled out application for me to send to FedLoans w/income information. I had told her that I sent the documents and requested a confirmation 2 times never a response until FedLoans contacted me telling me we are not eligable for the consolidation program and they cancelled our application. I have to resort to filing complaints because I can never get a hold of anyone. the email I recieved stated the loans were paid in full, not sure what that meant if I still have to pay on them? I am very upset and confused. There is no way we will ever pay back the school loans with out help. I have been pleading for help for almost a whole year and no one is helping just passing the buck and ignoring me.Desired Settlement: I paid $75 for their lack luster services, and they have since sold my acct to FedLoans apparently, considering they are "Paid off as of 03/5/14" I would like a refund. I would also like an explanation as to why they used the terms "Paid off" if they are in fact not "Paid off". If they are "paid off" why is my bill over $556.44 with Fedloans for this month and past due since April 2014 with no notification of payments or delinquency until 07/11/2014 when I recieved it from FedLoans.

Subject: Claim [redacted]

To: [email protected]

To whom it may concern;

My above referenced claim has been resolved. I was able to speak with [redacted] wills and assisted me with getting a resolution to this matter. Please proceed no further with claim [redacted]. The issue has been resolved.

I found out about USSLS via Facebook and I gave them a call to see what they had to offer or to say. Ever since I graduated I have been looking for and asking about someone who can tell me what is available and what I can do to make my student loan experience as enjoyable as I can and as affordable as I can. This company, more specifically [redacted] and [redacted], have done just that. They were ready and willing to help with positive attitudes and kind words. They were respectful and explained the information to me in a way that the normal public would understand.

They also helped me through a tough mix up with consolidation. [redacted] was on the phone with me for 3+ hours over a two day span and helped me to figure out what had happened. It was incredible and I feel so good now that everything is figured out. It would not have happened unless I had called this company.

I highly recommend using this company!

Review: I started working with this company since last year to reduce my student loans and consolidate my 2 loans. USSLS gave me hope that I could do this and never came through. All the emails they sent me told me they could consolidate both my daughter's and my loan with a payment per month of around $700.00. I was expecting some sort of consolidation to occur that would meet my needs and fit into my budget, but they fell through on their promises. They contacted my by email several times giving me hope that this would happen. The reason I decided to file this was because I was waiting for some action to occur on their part. USSLS told me through email on November 6, 2013 that they paid off my student loans as well as my daughter's student loan and were able to consolidate the student loans. I received this email as the last communication from them. The Department of Education said they didn't consolidate my two loans and said I owed $914.00 per month for just my loan payment. My daughter's payments are $233.00 per month. I had to ask for deferment for my loan. USSLS charged me a fee of around $600.00 and never consolidated my loans. I felt cheated out of a fee they never used and promises made to me that were never resolved. It is bad enough to pay this much money for no service what-so-ever. I deserve to have my fee refunded. I remember the fee was very expensive and I barely could give it to them. As a single parent this was a big let-down!

I could have consolidated with the department of education and probably paid less of a fee. I never received an explanation why the consolidation didn't go through and what were the next steps I needed to take.Desired Settlement: Since the company was unable to consolidate my student loan debt, I need the initial fee for their services refunded. It was not fair that I received nothing from this program. They advertised that they could help people like me with multiple student loans, but then took my fee and didn't help me in the end. I felt left and hopeless over this incident and didn't know where to go with it so I contacted you!

Mrs. [redacted],

Review: I had initially contacted this compant on 8/4/15 seeking help with my excessive student loans. As I initially had concerns I was promptly placed on the phone wiht a Supervisor, who assured that would get my loans reduced and complete paperwork, for a fee. While on the phone the employee urged and pressured me to sign the paperwork immediately, she rushed me through the process, and I wasn't even able to read the contract due to her calling non stop. After I signed the contract I was told that soemone would be in touch, that never happened. I attempted to contact the company several times at several different numbers and no one answered and an auntomated system stated that my number was recorded and they would return my call...never happened. I made a complaint online and eventually I was contacted by a very rude man, my nformation had not been processed as it should have been according to USSLS. I became very upset and continued to make complaints regarding satisfaction. I told them to not contact me again since they took my money and did not hing to help. I contacted US Dept of Education to see if my information had been processed and they infomred me that it was denied because USSLS sent me expired paperwork to complete and return, therefore USSLS did absolutely nothing to help my situation and actually caused me more stress and more money considering that I had to gather my own (up to date) paperwork complete it...have my employer complete it AGAIN and submit it AGAIN....all on my own.

I am very upset with what this company states they do, they have caused me more stree and more time not to mention being ignored by them and not being contacted when making my last complaint. I just want my money back as I am not satisfied and in the end I had to redo everything they had done.Desired Settlement: I would like a complete refund of money that was paid to the company.

Review: I was contacted by [redacted] on 07/23/2015, while I was at work. She explained my benefits/options while I was distracted and kept telling me it will take just a few minutes to verify my information and get things started . The call, which USSLS should have on file, will confirm that I was interrupted several times as I was engaging in work related matters. She urged me to sign electronic documents of my benefits and repayment plan as quickly as possible. She explained that the service USSLS provides, involves very complicated document preparations that would otherwise be a hassle for people to fill out themselves. She convinced me to sign the documents -via my cell phone.

Once documents were signed I listened to an automated questionnaire which [redacted] explained was a way for the company to gauge my understanding of terms of the contract & that the company would remain in compliance of their own rules/regulations. I answered “no” to one of the questions asking me to acknowledge my understanding of the terms. The automated questionnaire abruptly cut off. I was called back by [redacted] and told that I would need to complete the automated questionnaire again. That never happened.

I called [redacted] later that day & left her a message to cancel. I also sent a written request to cancel or postpone my contract with this company the same day. No one answered my written request but [redacted] did later called me. We discussed that I did not think I would be able to pay the $699 in fees plus any additional monthly student loan charges. She reduced my initial payments to $499. I never received/reviewed a new contract acknowledging these new terms. There was no mention that the company would charge a monthly fee as well. I was left with the impression that any charges would go toward my new reduced monthly student loan payments. As I found out later, that is not the case.

I contacted the company many times to cancel and they have never given me that option.Desired Settlement: I contacted USSLS multiple times to cancel my contract because I was not satisfied with their services and was always told it was not possible or that it was too late. As of yet my student loans have not been consolidated.

I would like to end my relationship with USSLS as I do not believe they are working in my best interest or in a matter consistent with a legitimate and honest business . Ideally, I would like them to refund me the full amount I have paid to them so far ($277). I would also like for them to cancel my contract and to stop any further actions on my behalf.

Review: I filed with this company because I thought it could help me with my loans, which I'm paying over 400 dollars a month in student loans on a very minimum income. I did not get to read the paperwork I was signing online and did not receive the paper work in the mail for about three weeks. When I read it, it did not match up when I explicitly double checked when they mentioned on the phone that interest wouldn't be applied, and on the paper work, interest was clearly stated. I decided not to turn in the papers, and contacted to cancel the application as I did not want to space out the payment and add anymore interest than I needed too. They stated that I could not cancel, and that I still needed to go through with the process. I also told them that I would not be able to make the payments to them since it was an additional 200 dollars that I was not going to be able to make. They also told me to not pay my current student loans since they were going to be "moved over", and I received calls from credit collections saying that I was 45 days past due. I was confused since I was told that I wouldn't have to worry about paying them anymore. I'm very disappointed at being mislead, and just simply want my agreement canceled and no more payments coming out.Desired Settlement: I want my agreement canceled. I would love to have my first payment of $99 dollars refunded back to me, but all in all, I really just want to have this canceled and never hear about it again.

Hello [redacted],

Review: On initial contact I was toldi had to pay a fee and my loans would be consolidated. The fee was paid, I was rushed through signing a contract, none of my student loans were consolidated. Emailed and left a phone message saying I wanted to cancel my account and did not get a reply. Called my bank who was able to get someone from USSLH and they said I couldn't cancel me contract, then I received an email shortly after saying I could cancel my contract. I was first told my loans would be consolidated and then told that they would not be, that it was only document preparation. This company is charging my bank account without my knowledge, and without and services rendered. I have asked for a cancelation and refund and have not received either yet.Desired Settlement: I would like the company to refund me my money as they did not provide the services they said they were going to.
