The dates noted definitely did not include the numerous times that I attempted to reach out to USSLS to receive assistance on this service and the many times my requests were ignored or caused me to be passed around to different individuals that were unable to provide me with the name of my consolidator No one could give me his name or contact information and I was told it was on the original email, which it was not I was told that an email would be sent out to all in order to find who was working on my consolidation...I never heard back When I originally signing up for this service, I was given the impression that USSLS would help me consolidate my loans and not that they were just a document service that would put the documents together I am very confident that USSLS used technical language that would contractually only obligate them to provide me with these documents, but believe they were definitely sugar coated with the impression that they would make consolidating my loans easy and help me through the entire process
I think that it is nearly criminal that they call them selves student loan consolidators when they adamantly claim that they are only a document services company AFTER they have your money I do not dispute their claim that they can put loan documents together, however, I dispute their claim to good customer service The communication of this company with clients is beyond horrible Not once was I treated like a customer that had paid to use this service I was brushed off multiple times and ignored and it took multiple phone calls and emails to finally find out that the person working on my loans had left the company Even when requesting new forms to send to NelNet again, I was met with basically, "It was probably your fault, let us know if you need more forms" I had just asked for them again! This is what caused me to have to continue my search for whoever it was that was handling my consolidation which was going nowhere
USSLS acted deceptively and had the poorest customer service that I have experienced to date I congratulate them on "contractually" fulfilling their obligations, which, obviously, is the motto of all companies with outstanding customer service

I paid $688 in March of 2015 to enroll me in a 10 year repayment where the loan amount is forgiven if you work for a non profit. I recently was temporarily disabled. I called the company who services my loan. The agent told me that I was never enrolled in the loan forgiveness program. He said I could do so now and that there is no charge.
Of course, all of the telephone numbers are no longer in service.
I gave one star because otherwise I could not post this review.
Do not talk to them, if they still exist.

I do not find USSLS's response to this issue to be satisfactory. I appreciate the gesture of reissuing the paperwork that I initially did not receive, and I have received the paperwork. However, as stated in the business's response to my complaint, I should also have received a 50% refund of the $599 originally paid. This refund has not been issued by the business. I have contacted my credit card company to confirm.

We've attached our third party compliance call, which restates all the items listed in the disclosures our representatives gave you and that in the signed agreement.  This call is you stating you understand all these items and this has been explained to you.3.
