On 02/26/2017, Ms. [redacted] purchased the Ranger Merlot twin over full bunk bed with storage stairs and trundle and the Mirage twin mattress. The merchandise was delivered to Ms. [redacted]’s residence on 03/09/17.After receiving Ms. [redacted]’s complaint I was informed by the store Manager that Ms. [redacted]...

On 02/12/2014, Ms. [redacted] purchased 2 of the Hunter massage power recliners.  This merchandise was delivered to Ms. [redacted]’ residence on 02/15/2014. Then, on 02/20/2014, Ms. [redacted] also purchased the Galveston loveseat which was delivered on 02/25/2014.I apologize for the delay in resolving Ms....

We have been in contact with Traveler’s, the insurance company that will compensate the customer regarding the damage that was done. Furniture can have a service technician visit Ms. [redacted]’s home and examine the furniture on 03/21/2015, to assure the furniture is defective. Once the examination is complete the store can offer Ms. [redacted] an in-store credit for the amount she originally paid for the sectional. I apologize for any inconvenience Ms. [redacted] may have experienced.  If Ms. [redacted] has any further questions or concerns she may contact me direct.

I was till within my warranty period and I will find documents if I can and I do'nt apprciate any of buisness being enclosed regarding furniture., and I was till within at least a week or two before my warranty. Its hurtful and digusting and I will not ever come their again. and I have already contacted local news stations about the situation. and posted it on their websites as well. You dont tell a customer one thing and do something elase and I was never offered another warranty if I was outside of that one .LIARS

 Since odors are not covered under the original warranty purchased, Ms. [redacted] was offered to choose replacement merchandise.  This merchandise is scheduled to be partially redelivered on 10/22/2015 due to original damages.  Unfortunately, Ms. [redacted]’s purchase is not eligible for return or refund.

Dear Revdex.com:This letter is in reference to my complaint ID [redacted] against Value City and their response. Iam not concerned with the conversation and transactions Value City claim they had with Booker[redacted] on his charge card. My concern is the account I have at Value City. When I applied for a creditcard at Value City, I did not apply for a joint account; I am the only authorized user on the account Iapplied for.Value City response does not exonerate them from that fact that they decline to follow protocol,when the damage furniture was returned to the store. Miguel P[redacted], the salesperson, and Value CityFurniture neglect to refund credit back to account ending in [redacted] and notify the creditor, SynchronyBank, of a refund due of $986.44.I will enclose 2 letters from Synchrony Bank, stating why they cannot remove the charges fromValue City. The first reason they stated, Value City claim I was not due a refund because the Clarion BedSet had been delivered. Value City sent them 8 pages of sales receipts instead of 1 delivery slip as proofof delivery. GE Capital called me twice (months apart), to confirm I had received the merchandise, inwhich I had not.In the second letter Value City's explanation changed and they told the creditors there was anexchange, an exchange I am not aware of neither did I authorize. I did not hear from Value City nor did Ireceive any conformation from them that they had received the furniture back and accredited accountmy account. Therefore, in October 2014,l did inquire about the $986.44 being accredited back to myaccount, In which Mr. P[redacted] had stated he had refunded the credit back to account [redacted]. It appears heconveniently neglected to notify Synchrony Bank of the refund because no refunds have been posted onthe credit statement ending in [redacted]. That credit card statement has already been submitted to Revdex.com.The third diversified allegation from Value City accusing Mr. [redacted] of making these chargeswas sent to you. I am enclosing a letter from [redacted], stating he does not want to be involved inthis dispute or any for that matter because he does not have an account with Value City or SynchronyBank. He would like for Value City to provide you and him wlth the application he allegedly filled out toobtain the said credit card and the receipts with his signature.I have to say that all this could have been avoided if Miguel P[redacted] and Value City hadreimbursed the $986.44 credit back to account ending In [redacted] and notified the creditor, SynchronyBank, of the refund when the damaged goods was returned to Value City instantaneously.I hope to get this matter resolve and the refund that's long overdue approved, I sense that if thiscontinues Value City will try and come up with another extenuating circumstance to justify theirblunder.

On 5/23/14 Mrs. [redacted] purchased the Marilyn 5 piece bedroom set and the Marilyn bedside chest. Mrs. [redacted] accepted delivery of the furniture on 5/29/14.Upon reviewing the complaint filed with the Revdex.com, the General Manager was contacted. decided to exchange the Marilyn footboard and the Marilyn dresser with brand new furniture from the same collection. The exchange is scheduled to take place on 5/30/16. Mrs. [redacted] will be contacted 24-48 hours prior to the scheduled delivery date with a time frame that the delivery team is estimated to arrive at the residence. Mrs. [redacted] will also be contacted in reference to this issue by a member of management at the store level.I apologize for any inconvenience Mrs. [redacted] may have experienced.  If Mrs. [redacted] has any further questions or concerns she may contact me direct.

I am satisfied with the service received regarding this complaint. Immediately after filing this complaint, the company's manager(Mr. [redacted]) was in contact with me. Mr. [redacted], invited me to the local store to select a new living room set to replace my current living room set, I was giving a 10% discount as well as an additional discount of $200.00 off of the new purchase. I am extremely impressed with the quick response to this matter. I regret the resent bad experience endured that lead to this complaint filing but I will attest to the matter that this company; is great and has me as a valued customer for life. Thanking you for your concern and consideration in this matter.

I do not want to purchase more faulty, low quality furniture. If the compaby wants to offer me a credit to my credit card that I have with them, I will accept, but I do not want a store credit. The investment we previously made resulted in undesirable furniture from poorly manufactured product and I do not wish to reslve this matter by having MORE furniture from this company.

On 11/18/2014, Ms. [redacted] purchased the Galveston dual reclining sofa.  This merchandise was delivered to Ms. [redacted]’s residence on 11/21/2014.  Ms. [redacted] also purchased the 5-year Pure Promise warranty.On 12/27/2014, Ms. [redacted] contacted Store Personnel advising that the reclining...

mechanism had stopped working.  A Service Technician visited Ms. [redacted]’s residence on 1/21/2015 and advised that the mechanism had twisted due to improper use.  At this time, the Service Technician advised how to prevent the damage from happening in the future and replaced both mechanisms.On 07/27/2015, Ms. [redacted] contacted Store Personnel again advising that the reclining mechanism had stopped working.  Unfortunately, the same issue has occurred and this type of wear is not a manufacturer defect and will not be covered under the Pure Promise or Manufacturer warranty.  I have attached this warranty for further review. I apologize that we will be unable to service Ms. [redacted]’s mechanism as it is not covered under warranty and not considered a manufacturer defect. I apologize for any inconvenience Ms. [redacted] may have experienced.  If Ms. [redacted] has any further questions or concerns she may contact me direct. .

promotion with Ms. [redacted]’s Synchrony Credit account. I am pleased to advise that I have contacted the bank and changed Ms. [redacted]’s promotion to 36 months as requested. This change will reflect on her account within 7-10 business days and will update on her statement within 1-2 billing cycles. I apologize for any inconvenience Ms. [redacted] may have experienced.
