I am rejecting this response because: I just wanted to sign up for classmatesI'm a newbie on the computerI haven't even been on the site

We have reviewed our files and found that this customer selected our six month unlimited Background Report Membership at $59.70, which breaks down to $per monthGiven that members can conduct unlimited searches for a membership fee our terms do not allow for any refunds and simply allow members to cancel anytime to avoid future chargesOur customer service is available to take their cancellation at any time The automatic renewal of the membership was cancelled per this customer's request over the phone on 8/7/There will be no automatic billingThe customer is responsible for the purchase of the $membership and can enjoy all the benefits of membership until it expires on 2/3/

It clearly states on the purchase page that the trial is cents and $for the cancelation feeNo refund will be issuedPlease refer Mr [redacted] to go back to the website to review our fees

At the time of purchase you chose to receive a discounted price for signing up for a day trial to our MembershipThis membership allowed you to receive an unlimited number of:•People Searches – Get the facts you need to find anyone, anywhere•Email Searches – Obtain email addresses, or learn about the owner of any address•Marriage Searches – Find out if a man or woman has ever been married•Divorce Searches – Check the divorce status of any man or woman•Property Searches – Learn about any piece of property, including the current owner and valueYou had the option to cancel this membership trial at anytime via your account manager on the website, via email, or via phoneWe did not receive any notification that you wished to cancel this trialThe day trial has ended; therefore, you were charged the membership fee on the fourth day, and for every month thereafterPer your initial request over the phone on 5/19/we cancelled the automatic renewal of your membershipThe two membership fees are non-refundable per the Terms you agreed to but per this complaint, and as a onetime courtesy, we will grant one refund for the most current month of membershipPlease allow 2-business days for the refund to process back into your credit or debit card

We will opt out the information from the websiteBut, when we type in that name that are several matchesPlease provide us with the age and address or addresses to be removed

I am rejecting this response because:i was not provided the opportunity to provide my credit card numberShe simply said that if I would not provide my email address she would not help mewhy should I have to provide additional personal information to an organization that specializes in finding people Why hey would I want to provide any additional info to an organization who may be responsible for the fraud? I have run run a business and I know I can find transactions by people's names, transaction dates, etcmy alternative is to protest the charges with my credit card issuerBusinesses that run too many fraudulent transactions will be charged higher credit card rates or being cut off but the credit card processorsI was doing the company a favor by calling them only to be hung up on times by the same personPlease check your recorded messages

I am rejecting this response because:This has not been resolvedOf course there is no account under that email address because I had a one time fee for a one time use and never created an accountPeople Finders started charging to my credit card as if I had an accountThey charged me twice a month for multiple monthsIf this can not be resolved I will notify my bank that all charges from People Finders are fraudulent (which they obviously are since they have no record of an account under my email address)

We apologize for the confusionIt appears that the customer had selected a Premium Membership to be active on that same dayHowever, we went ahead and refunded the $today

Our website gives the customer two options when purchasing a People Search Report They can purchase the report at full price , or at a discounted price with the day Trial MembershipAs the website states if the membership is not canceled within the trial period then the customer is billed the membership feePer the Terms of use months that have already been billed are not refundableWe've canceled the membership, there will be no further billings

There is no record of the customer ever contacting our companyThe customer purchased a recurring membership on 01/18/The customer was then billed for the next month on 2/18/The membership was then canceled online on 02/21/Since the membership was not canceled before the renewal the customer is not due a refund
