The Peoplefinders Rewards membership was not canceled until 06/06. We have already issued three refunds for $24.99 each. No further refunds will be issued.

We are unable to locate an account under the information provided in the complaint. Our website does not offer Death Certificates. We offer death searches only. The customer is paying to search our data base for the information not an actual Death Certificate.

The customer agreed to the trial membership during the purchase and did not make an attempt to cancel until 06/02/16. Per our Terms of Use, no further refunds will be given.

Per your initial request over the phone on 6/5/2015 the automatic renewal of your membership was cancelled. We have found that you have already contacted your bank or Credit Card Company and filed a dispute. Often, due to the dispute, you are given a conditional refund by your bank; therefore we cannot offer you a refund. Please allow time for your financial institution to review the charges for validity. Usually this process will take a few billing cycles and they will notify you of the outcome via mail. You will now need to follow their policies and procedures regarding these charges.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to my concern, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.
I will let this particular complain rest HOWEVER, THIS BUSINESSES PRACTICES NEED TO BE REVIEWED. THEY HAVE DUPED TOO MANY PEOPLE AND MADE TO MUCH MONEY THIS WAY.

I am rejecting this response because:  I in fact did cancel.  Per the bank, the charges fraudulently started up after a period of some months of not being charged.  The rude person I spoke with asked for a confirmation number.  even after I cancelled a second time I did not receive a confirmation number.  Ipso facto, this company sets the customer up for theft.  this "business" needs to be shut down due to unethical and fraudulent practices as well as theft.

On 02/22/16 an account was opened on our website online. Please clarify if the customer ever went to our website to run a background check and sign up for the memberships.

the customer signed up for two trial memberships online. The PF Rewards Trial was not canceled online or by phone. No refunds will be issued.

I am rejecting this response because:I received notification that I had made a purchase, and that it was charged to my credit card. I did not receive notification that I supposedly signed up for a trial membership, nor that or when I was charged for such membership should I not cancel by a certain date. Even if I did sign up for such membership, I have no evidence of it or notification -- which is why I cannot attach anything, because such e-mail or other notice does not exist. Clearly, I was being misled to believe I had only made the initial purchase. this remains a very bad business practice to me. Do you have evidence of me signing up? can you please put that forward? Otherwise, I remain to assume that you continued to charge my credit card without authorization. Thank You. [redacted]

I am rejecting this response because:i was not provided the opportunity to provide my credit card number. She simply said that if I would not provide my email address she would not help me. why should I have to provide additional personal information to an organization that specializes in finding people.  Why hey would I want to provide any additional info to an organization who may be responsible for the fraud? I have run run a business and I know I can find transactions by people's names, transaction dates, etc.. my alternative is to protest the charges with my credit card issuer. Businesses that run too many fraudulent transactions will be charged higher credit card rates or being cut off but the credit card processors. I was doing the company a favor by calling them only to be hung up on 3 times by the same person. Please check your recorded messages

At the time of purchase the customer was informed of the cancellation fee of $2.95 or if not canceled the fee is $24.95. The customer did not cancel. A courtesy partial refund was issued for $22.00, leaving a balance of $2.95 to pay for the cancellation fee.  No further refunds will be issued.

I am rejecting this response because: I do not care       there sales pitch does not say what they are saying now.   there website also steers people to pay for another service that is not necessarily factual either       very misleading       my next step would be the state attorney general complaint department...thank you Revdex.com

The urls provided show that the requests have already been completed. If this is not correct, the correct urls are need to complete this request.

I am rejecting this response because: on peoplefinders.com home page there is no mention of refund or that a refund is not available.   I thank you for the $2.95 refund but I would like a total refund just like any other company in this country would do if a costumer was unhappy with there purchase.
