We do no have record that the customers account was requested to be closed. The $23.40 charge is for a yearly membership. Please let us know if the customer would like the account closed and/or the yearly membership stopped,

The customer signed up for a trial membership at the time of their initial purchase. The membership is canceled, there will be no further billings. We have refunded them 2 charges of $29.95 each. The customer was also assisted when they called our customer care department.

Our website offers our products with our without a membership. The attached screen shots show a sample name entered in our search section. After clicking on the match the customer would like more information on, they are taken to the Product Selection Page then the Check out Page that both state that the product us coming with a membership.

At the time of purchase on 6/11/2015 you chose to receive a discounted price ($0.95) for signing up for a 3 day trial to our Membership. This membership allowed you to receive an unlimited number of:•People Searches – Get the facts you need to find anyone, anywhere•Email Searches – Obtain email...

We did not receive any notification from you that you wished to cancel this trial. The 3 day trial has ended; therefore, as stated during checkout, you were charged the membership fee ($24.95) on the fourth day and for every month thereafter. Per your request over the phone on 8/18/2015, and as a onetime courtesy, we have granted one refund for the most current month of membership.  Please allow 2-5 business days for the refund to process back into your credit or debit card. The previous charges are non-refundable per the Terms you agreed to.

I am rejecting this response because: their website is confusing and designed to trick people into signing up.

Hello. Shortly after having sent the complaint to you, the company moved forward with a full refund.  I wish to modify this and add their resolution action.

At the time of purchase we state that the Membership is $24.95 a month, however if you cancel within the 3 day trial period you are only billed $2.95 for it at the time of cancellation. That charge is valid. As a one time courtesy we will refund the $7.95 for the report the customer was unhappy...

We refunded the $12.45 on 11/23/15.

The customer purchased a trial membership on 01/11/16  for $9.95 instead of the $39.95 full price for a background report. The trial was not canceled therefore the membership was charged from February through May. The cancelation did not occur until 05/16/16 over the phone. A refund was issued...

for $29.95 for the month of May since there was no prior cancelation. Per our Terms if Use no further refunds will be issued.

I am rejecting this response because:The statement that they "clearly and conspicuously" relate that my credit card will be billed until I cancel is a load of horse crap. If  it was there it was not clear apparent that I was signing up for anything more than the limit three months that I thought I was. I cannot recreate the sign up page as an attachment to prove this but they are relying on this deception to bill people for services that are NOT clear and conspicuous. Even if I don't get my money back, they should be reported to the attorney general for deceptive business practices.

On 11/21/17 we sent an email notifying that removal had been escalated and this would take 7-10 business days. We are still withing this time frame.

Our customer service is available to take their cancellation at any time.  The automatic renewal of the membership was cancelled per this customer's request over the phone on 8/7/2015. There will be no automatic billing. The customer is responsible for the purchase of the $59.70 membership and can enjoy all the benefits of membership until it expires on 2/3/2016.

Actually,Peoplefinder's response is anything but "satisfactory " to me, however, I am going to accept this response simply because I do not wish to pursue any further correspondence with this company.  Peoplefinder's is a typical scam artist company that takes advantage of people who fail to read the fine print.  They also make it nearly impossible to terminate the "subscription" once someone realizes that they are paying $24.95/month for the "subscription ". I hope enough people complain about their underhanded tactics and extremely rude customer sevice managers and someone puts a stop to this fraudulent and unprofessional business. The sooner this company is shut down , the better.Thank you Revdex.com for your help in this matter.

I am rejecting this response because:  Upon contacting my credit card company, and providing them with the explanation offered by Peoplefinders.com, I was told that, in fact, my card had been charged.  Peoplefinders.com is in error in their assessment of this situation as evidenced by the fact that my credit card company, [redacted] corroborates my version of the facts.  I also see no acknowledgement of the fact that the way I was treated by Amy was not in line with Peoplefinders.com's customer service approach.  I would like a written apology from Peoplefinders.com regarding the abhorrent manner in which this woman treated me.  Since the phone conversation was recorded, it's simply a matter of listening to the interaction to discern how rude she acted.

The customer did not make a purchase for $4.95 under the email provided. Please provide the correct email address or direct the customer to review his credit card records regarding what company this charge was made under.

because:The email address the phone operator found using my credit card number was registered as [redacted]. But when I tried to use it to access peoplefinders.com, it says there is no account associated with this address.Last name: [redacted]First name: [redacted] OR [redacted]. However, in my first phone call the phone operator said my first name does not correspond what you have on the system. She refused to provide me with help, and refused to tell me what that first name was on your system.

We have canceled the membership, there will be no further renewals. Per the Terms of Use there are no refunds on our products.
