Contacted Vizio over a broken TV and did a Revdex.com complaint which was closed after Vizio told the Revdex.com that they could not contact me, they called 1 time when we were gone and so I called them back several times without them calling me back. We attempted to contact them on several occasions. The problem with a 70 inch TV we have has now began to worsen and instead of no picture we have has it begin to smoke after performing their reset functions more than once in hopes that we could get out purchase of $1,598 to work as it should. Vizio offered a replacement at a discount price when I called their customer support. Their discount price was a mere $25 lower than the full cost of the product. So now I have a 70 inch paperweight that has no picture and retains the sound and begin to smoke when turned on. This TV was a replacement for a TV that did the same exact thing as this one. 2 TV's and and still no time to watch them or get my money's use of them.A full refund of the cost of the TV would be a wonderful outcome. $1,598 is a lot of money for a non working TV. It's not the first TV that has died from the same issue. If no refund is given then I would want a brand new model 70 inch TV with the issues fixed so they never happen again. If none of those are done then I want the refund plus an additional amount for the time without a TV and pay my cable bill for the amount of time I have been without a paid for and working TV.

Revdex.com: Dear Sir/Madam I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint as until today they did not replace the TV and did not return the money. Their customer support team call my daughter and me a couple of times a day to tell me they are in the process of responding that complaint. It is becoming harassment. Also they asked me to send them a copy of the invoice that proves that I bought that TV, I sent the email a couple of times and cc'd you.   I would prefer that Vizio send me a cheque with the amount covering the TV purchase amount, as I am not interested anymore in their product or talking to any of your team. Pdf copy of these emails are also attached for your kind reference. Regards, [redacted]

The product was purchased and in the same year the support for the product was discontinued. They claim due to pirating that media content is always changing and they cannot provide the codex to play all the media content currently produced. Other companies such as Sony and Samsung can play the content so Vizio should be able to provide an update allowing their media player to play it as well. A Vizio rep, Brent, offered a replacement Vizio 3D player via a live phone call but ensured me that it would still not play my desired contents. How can they sell a product line that doesn't play all media content.

I am very disappointed with vizio my husband and I bought a TV and with in 4 months it was not working cause of a storm. They came out and tried to fix it but said tthe keyboard was fried and they would have to replace the TV. We waited for 2 weeks for a new TV and nothing another week went by and still nothing and we've made tuns of phone calls they told us it was almost there and should be here withing a day the night before we get a call and said it still has not been from CCalifornia. Waited another week no TV. So we do decided to move to Pennsylvania and told them not to ship it we will give you our new address. Gave them our new address and told us it was shipped to Florida after we told them not to ship it so now its going on 2 and a half months and we are without a TV. 900.00 TV and you would think the would care. This place has very poor customer service and they give you a run around.

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to
complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not
resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed
appear below.
I had asked Mr [redacted] the complaint resolution rep I was
in email contact with, to please email me any correspondence. He ignored my request. I did attempt to call the number he provided on the
email, several times, and on the fourth time, when I was able to reach him, he
told me the same thing--that I must have caused the damage to my television.
During this call, Mr [redacted] did not discuss any price for a
discounted, reconditioned, television. There was only a claim made, by Mr [redacted],
that he could assess from the photo's I emailed Vizio, that the damage was
customer inflicted, thus, not covered by the warranty, and Vizio is under no obligation to repair the TV. That is where we ended
the call. I am under the impression he did not want those statements in writing.
I would be satisfied with a Free, reconditioned television. I
feel Vizio should take the matter seriously, that there are too many complaints about
this very problem happening to other customers, for there not to be a problem
with the assembly or manufacturing process, rather than profess, "...people
lie."  The facts of my complaint are:
1.
The television was under
warranty when I reported the failure to the manufacturer
2.
Manufacturing defects cannot
be assessed by a photo of the TV screen.
3.
A manufacturing defect
could most definitely have caused the screen to crack
4.
A misaligned bezel could
have caused the weight of the TV to cause the screen to crack
5.
An overheated component
could have caused the screen to crack
6.
#2-5, above, are covered
under the warranty
7.     I expect Vizio to honor the warranty
 [redacted]

[redacted], go ahead and close it.  I finally got the retailer to take the TV back.  I just will not buy another Vizio product due to them not backing their product.  I still want to have the complaint listed on your website for them, so other consumers will know what to expect with this product. Thanks again,[redacted]

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted].  A VIZIO representative has called me 3 times and I have also called back and left voice messages twice and our schedules have not allowed us to sync up on times.  However, I have noted that firmware updates have been pushed through to my television (I am assuming through VIZIO) and now the problem has been resolved.  The outstanding issue/suggestion for VIZIO is the lack of training from their IT/Phone reps that provide incorrect information and insist that a resolution (to fix the issue) will be at my cost.
Regards,
