Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:I contacted Volcy at the number they provided.  They offered to connect to my computer remotely and reinstall Windows without destroying any data on the machine.  They ridiculed me for thinking that it was not possible to do this without performing a repair install or Windows Refresh (apparently they know more than Microsoft does about it's products).My niece advised me not to ever allow them to connect to my computer again since it is Volcy who rendered my computer unusable, I cannot even boot into Windows and when I attempt a Windows repair install I am informed that it cannot be done because the Administrator account was deleted.So Volcy offered a $200 refund, but insisted that they had installed 2-year licenses for AVG Internet Security on her computer and they were due $150 for those licenses.  In exchange for that I was to withdraw my complaint to the Revdex.com.  They asked if that was acceptable.  As to my existing AVG licenses, the licenses I had purchased before they ever contacted me, they told me they had applied for a refund and that I could check for those refunds in my email.I have 2 legitimate AVG products currently in force and those licenses were never extended or cancelled, they are still in force.When I checked for the AVG emails at the request of Volcy, I found that unbeknownst to me, no less than 5 1-year AVG PC TuneUp licenses had been purchased on my behalf on the dates of Jan 3, Jan 10, Jan 15, Jan 16, and Jan 23, 2 for licenses for $35.99 each and 3 licenses for $37.99 each, for a total of $185.95.Then on January 25th, a request for refund was made by Volcy for all 5 licenses they had purchased, so they expended no money for any licenses for the version of AVG they installed on her computer later that day.When I called Volcy today to request the full refund of the $355, I spoke to Addy, who referred me to the refund emails to indicate that I had already been refunded for the subscriptions I had previously purchased, but upon checking the license numbers I found that only the license numbers that Volcy purchased and had already received refunds for to the card they used to make the purchase were refunded.  Nothing was actually refunded to me.I told Addy that if he wanted me to pay $150 for a license, then I wanted to see a copy of my license so that when we restore her computer we can take advantage of the license she is supposedly getting.  Addy sent me an email with the AVG Activation Key for the license he said I was paying for.He asked if that was acceptable to me and if I would withdraw the Revdex.com complaint.  I said I would consider it if I could verify with AVG that I could actually extend my license with that key and if the price he was charging me was the same or less than I would have paid to AVG directly.So I called AVG and gave them the license number I'd received from Volcy and it turns out that it was yet another license they'd purchased and then immediately requested a refund for.  So an invalid license key.  AVG told me this is a common practice unfortunately.  They also said that if someone had been scammed in this manner, they should contact AVG directly at their customer service number I called Volcy back with the information I had obtained from AVG, and Addy told me he was processing a full refund to my credit card.  When I receive the full refund, I will return and update this complaint.

After discovering that Norton renewal would not download, I called Norton and they put me in touch with Volcy tech support. It has been a wonderful experience. Volcy went into computer, remotely, identified numerous problems, and corrected in. I worked with Addy as the technician and he was excellent in customer service as well as skilled knowledge. I am grateful. And I now have a year subscription.

I was having trouble accessing my regular anti-virus provider page. One of their agents told me my computer had been infected by a Trojan virus about a week ago, but he said he would hook me up with someone who would repair same, online, for a total of $295.00, which, I thought, was somewhat expensive. I don't take too kindly to sudden expenditures of that size, but he kept suggesting it was the best route for me to take, under the circumstances. I relented begrudgingly.
The entity turned out to be the ANEM VOLCY outfit, which seemed to follow up in a professional manner.

In retrospect, I wondered why my anti-virus provider didn't say why their active service did not warn me of the impending virus and suggest prior removal.
I also wondered if I may have saved this half-day adventure and cost if I had simply done a "system restore" to an earlier date.

Dear Revdex.com,Thank you for notifying us about the customer's concern. As stated by the consumer that our company misrepresented us as [redacted], after investigating there was nothing as such found. We clearly notify all customers that we are Volcy Ventures and not any third party company. Our...

website indicates the same and nothing else. We are an independent technical support company and we provide good service to our consumers. We believe in great customer service and understand consumer is not happy with the services so we will go ahead and refund the consumer's amount.Thanks and Regards,Volcy PC Support[redacted]

My mother was almost scammed by this company in a way similar to other posts. She thought she was calling norton based on a google search, next thing she knows she is on authorize.net website and they are asking her to pay $400. When she realized something did not feel right, she hung up on them.

Also noticed that they said in September of last year they plan to remove their fraudulent claim of 99% customer satisfaction, they still have not and it appears on their website homepage. they also brandish the "dell registered partner" logo even though they are not on record as being a dell registered partner.

It truly is a shame that a company here in the US can operate under fraudulent, shady, business tactics targeting those who dont know any better; such as my elderly mother.

Volcy is somehow getting into legitimate websites/companies and diverting customer support calls to themselves.It happened to me with McAfee.

I had a problem with a McAfee program so I went to their web site (At least I thought it was their website, now I'm not so sure.) looking for help. I clicked on their customer support link and got a pop-up with a customer support phone number. It turned out to be the phone number for Volcy who then claimed to be a customer support contractor for McAfee. They convinced me to give them access to my computer and then showed me all the "problems" they found. They charged me a bundle and "fixed" the "problems" with a five year service policy.

I recently called them for additional help. Their answering machine said to leave my name and number and they would call back. A week later, still had not heard from them so called again determined to speak with someone. I was on hold for an hour and 45 minutes and no one ever answered.

This is a real ripoff company and not recommended.

very satisfied with the work done by ned and he help me with every thing and explaned me everything in such a short time and I m very happy with the services

Dear Revdex.com,We would like to thank the customer about bringing this to our attention. We apologize to the customer for what he/she has faced. But we do not do such activities neither we are Microsoft or Norton. We are third party technical support company. We have initiated refund for the...

customer which she would receive in the next 3-5 business days. How ever we do not entertain or do any spam activities. We as a company would take full responsibility if there is some thing illegal or wrong done, but in this case we do not take any responsibility as before collecting payments everything is informed to the customer clearly.Thanks and Regards,Volcy PC Support.

I too have a 2 year contract with this company. The first year, I rec'd excellent service. However for the past 6 months "NOTHING"...
No return calls; send messages through their website and key "Submit";
same response ... NOTHING.
BE FOREWARNED:
If you are considering signing a contract with this company, DON'T !
I even question if they are still in business.

Dear Revdex.com,thank you for notifying us about this complain. We never call customers for any services. We are completely inbound services and we are reputed brand. We guess some one tried to scam the customer by just using our name. We would like to inform the customer that this scam call was...

not from us and we are still open to help the customer of facing any issues. Thanks and regards,VOLCY PC SUPPORT

On Wednesday July 22, 2015 I was ready to send an almost new computer back to the company back to the company that I had purchased it from. Not a cheap computer either (Dell) I had been for several days looking at it, making calls to my internet provider to find out if I was on the "@ease program" & to Dell and they put me on hold. I finally looked down at my task bar and seen a McAfee shield in the bottom right of computer. I was desperate to find a phone number for this Antivirus Company everyone has heard so much about. I do not know how I got this number but it was just the right number at the right time. It was to Volcy Ventures and the person who answered spoke a little fast and I did not understand him at first and ask him to Please transfer me to someone I could understand and he told me that he would slow down his speech and we would see if that would work and I completely understood every word he said. I had a very, very, SEVERE Trojan Virus. I really did not understand the entire thing but between the very patient Computer Tech's Daniel & Depak that helped me I have a brand new computer. Daniel is a 24 yr old computer wiz. I am proud to write this review for this company and for the people that they employee.

Very good response and service. Fixed problem.

Dear Revdex.com,Thank you for notifying us about the customer's concern. We have completely investigated the case and found the technician fixed the computer and also installed AVG Antivirus from our end (Not bought by the customer). The customer is confused about more than one technician connected...

to the computer and as a technical support company that is a standard procedure if the case is escalated to higher technician. However as the customer is not satisfied we are issuing a full refund. However after the refund the AVG antivirus would not be operational on customer's computer as that is our purchased licensed software. Thanks and Regards,VOLCY PC SUPPORT

All service calls are always returned and problems completed to my questions on computer problems and systems explained, would recommend this company to all friends.

I have used the Volcy services a number of times in the last two years and find them to be very helpful. They repaired all my issues with ease. I would reccomend them to anyone.

Excellent customer service with this tech and company! My computer was practically dead in the water, but this hard working tech brought me into dry dock with expertise. I guess the adage "you get what you pay for" is apt here, since this service wasn't inexpensive. Also, it took several hours to resolve the problems, but that is no ill reflection upon this team. I don't know what happened, but whatever it was, it got fixed. I'm typing, for example, which I couldn't do since this computer cratered. sometimes you need to pay the price. Warning: you need to get the right tech as I did this visit, since we know all techs aren't created equally. If you can't understand the tech, or if his/her headset isn't communicative, change up. If you feel that you're not getting your money's worth, ask for an escalation, or at least for a supervisor. By the way, that supervisor on the team was on top of it.
Yes, expensive, but you've got a team dedicated to resolving your issues. My only complaints are that I didn't follow the aforementioned advice before.
AAA+++! Thanks, Gents!

I am very impressed with your entire staff. Their skill and the tender loving care I received exceeded all of my expectations. I shall not hesitate to sing your praises. Thank you. Thank you.

Dear Revdex.com,Thank you for notifying us about this concern of the customer. We would advice the customer to give us a call and we could explain her the charges also if needed we would go ahead and adjust it.Thanks and Regards,Volcy PC Support[redacted]
