This is regarding a move we made through MiniMoves in FebThe entire move which consisted of just boxes was a harrowing experience and the lack of professionalism shown by the customer service staff is appallingHere are the specific incidents which caused us unnecessary headache: 1) The original piwas scheduled for 11am-3pm and we were told that we will get a call at least mins before they arrive for pick-upThey called us at pm to change the time to pmIn spite of us agreeing to that, they called us again at pm (without the min notice), waited till pm and left without a pick-upWe told them repeatedly to wait for more minutes for us to get back but no luck there 2) The customer service agent we spoke to after this incident *shouts [redacted] at us saying we have to pay a $charge for re-scheduling the pick-upThis was the most unfriendly customer-service we have ever had to deal withThe manager was extremely rude and did not value his customersAfter repeated calls to two different agents, they finally rescheduled the pialmost a week after the original date 3) The delivery in Boston was to be made to our 3rd floor apartmentThis was made clear while booking (and the address was provided which also explains the parking scenario in the area)However the delivery guy simply refused to take the boxes up the elevator citing his truck being in a no-parking zoneWe even volunteered to stand by the truck, but again, no luck arguing with himHe pressed on rescheduling the delivery stating it was a 2-man jobMy need to receive my boxes without further delays (which were already ample), forced me to transport the boxes to the 3rd floor all by myself Will not recommend this business to anyone - bad dispatchers, worst customer service
I've never used professional movers before; my kids have, for short-distance moves I found MiniMoves on Angie's List I had a very professional and pleasant time with Steve [redacted] who helped me arrange the move I got the cost quoted well before the scheduled move, got the moving date I asked for, and received all the paperwork before the move, giving me time to review itThe moving crew, led by Miguel, was awesome On time - even a little early, which they asked permission for - and quick, very very nice and pleasant, and really good at packing and moving This crew really impressed me Always ask for Miguel; he is terrific

My previous moves were nightmares, so I had serious reservations overallFrom the first contact to delivery of my belongings, everything essentially went smoothlyI was always able to get in touch with an actual person - big PLUS!!! They worked with me to determine exactly how much the move would cost and how to minimize the costThey worked with me to make changes in what I was planning to ship, and did so without any problems The greatest aspects were the customer service and the clear and accurate communication regarding pickup and delivery

Our son got his first studio apartment in Cleveland Ohio on month ago As we live in Pennsylvania, the idea of moving all of his things ourselves in the winter was not enticing MiniMoves made it a pleasure They were friendly, helpful, informative and patient through the entire process The actual movers were great on both ends, everything was handled with such care We thank you all, and would highly suggest them to anyone!!!!

My team arrived on time and were very fast and friendlyThey wrapped fragile items with great care and the pieces traveled from St Louis to CA with no damageI found the paperwork a bit confusing, but as there were no problems, it was not an issue
