I used MiniMoves for a small apartment move from Chicago to D.Cand had a very positive experience, from my initial conversations to finalize a quote until the day my belongings were deliveredOn both ends, the movers arrived promptly within the designated window (for my mothey even arrived early) and worked quickly but with careFor my move-out, all of my furniture was wrapped securely to my liking and I had no concerns that my boxes containing breakables would be thrown aroundI also had a positive experience communicating with my MiniMoves reps through the booking process and after my belongings were picked up when I needed to put everything into storage with MiniMoves at the last minuteThey were accommodating at every step along the wayI would definitely use MiniMoves again for a future move!

MiniMoves was fantastic, from start to finish Starting with quotes, they were responsive and flexible The move occurred as planned, both for the piand the delivery All items arrived with no damage We needed to make several changes during the process, including additional an additional pilocation, needing to store our items for an extra week before delivery, adjusting the number of flights of stairs on the piand delivery locations again, they were very flexible, responsive, and didn't use it as an opportunity to boost the cost I rarely have such a positive experience with any type of business, much less a moving company Special recognition and thanks to Aja, who went above and beyond for us every step of the way

Gave prompt and complete quote; picked up and delivered when promised; reviewed for any damage (there was none); cleaned up packaging; courteous and friendly; completely professional

I felt the communication was a bit lacking, since most things were done over the phone & not online The items were delivered on time and with no damageSo overall a positive experience

Just had a move from Seattle to San Jose where I used MiniMovesHere is a run down of how it all turned outIt appears that Minimoves is a broker that finds other companies to do the pickup, the transport and the delivery There is a communication disconnect between the companies and Minimoves as the process is still old school based upon physical paperworkMinimoves doesn't really know where you goods are at any time unless they are updated by the carrier on the other endTrying to track our shipment in the day delivery window they provided deemed fruitlessWe called times on different days and each time the person answering the phone was annoyed that we calledTheir response was "Your window is the 12th to the 20th" with no additional information available
The part that was really annoying is that we arrived at the new home at the beginning of the window (12th of December) and had to camp out until the furniture finally arrived on the last day of the window (20th of December) We have big dogs and getting a hotel for a week wasn't even possible in the area we moved to
Here is a more detailed overview of the important stuff:
Pickup of my goods: On time, job well done
Delivery of my goods: Within the expected window, job well done with delivery crew
Condition of shipment: Signs of lots of handling of boxes, crushed corners and some boxes were smashed up but there was NO damage to anything inside (and we packed the boxes ourselves)There was NO damage to any furnitureThey wrapped and padded everything individually...really impressive
Communication: Extremely poor Driver didn't call day prior to pickup, Minimoves never responded when I sent email asking about pickupAfter several calls, the driver finally made contact on the way to my house
Knowledge of where you goods are in the process: Extremely poor and seemed that Minimoves customer service was very annoyed that we would call and ask
Net Net - The old adage applies, you get what you pay for A full service move with one company and defined dates of pickup and delivery was going to be nearly 2X the costSo although the communications was bad, everything worked out just fine and the goods made it successfully to the destination in great condition

Contacts on the phone and with email were very friendly and helpful
The pickup crew arrived at the arranged time, and was very friendly and efficient
Everything piece was mummified, saran wrapped, numbered, and logged before being loaded on the truck
Delivery was smooth and within the specified time window
The dispatcher even called to see is an earlier delivery would be possible

I had a positive experience with MinimovesThe customer service employees were very helpful over the phone, and the movers were excellentMy only advice is to make sure that the outbound movers do not box anything without your explicit approvalOne mover boxed a piece of furniture that I didn't want him to, and didn't tell me about it until after he was finishedNevertheless, it was a positive experience overall

Mine was a long distance move from from NW Florida to Boston, MA My experience with Minimoves was excellent from start to finish Communication was clear and accurate I knew what the cost would be upfront and there were no hidden charges I researched or spoke with other moving companies and simply could not be sure of an reliable priceThe local folks who did the packing and loading were respectful and careful with our belongings Not a single item was broken For my mini-move, Minimoves was more affordable than even the pod container/u pack companies I was relieved to finally discover this better business for moving Thank you

Very professional jobNo complaints!

The MiniMoves crew just left and all I can say is that the entire packing experience was totally positive and so much easier than anticipatedThay were pleasant, quick but careful and definitely knew what they were doing.Based upon this I would expect our delivery to be just as positiveI would not hesitate to recommend them to anyoneNot only did they pack for us but also provided a car transporter for us which was a last minute requestWe were moving from Hartsdale,NY to sunny Florida

I chose to work through a reputable and large moving company to facilitate my moveThrough that network, I was connected with MiniMoves, IncT.Kwas my representative and the experience was exactly what I neededI did not have a lot of time to arrange this move and was counting on T.Kto figure it all out for meNo time was wasted and the process was very efficientThe movers were very friendly on both ends and all was well handled from disassembly to assemblyI was also able to meet the owner during the delivery, he was working right along side his team to get me setup in my new home

Have used Mini Moves several times over the years both for moving homes and specialty art shipping cross country Great service and prices I highly reccomend them

I had a $15,000, 90+ year old dining set picked up in CA the 1st week of Decand was told the move should take days or lessI was never given a call to set up delivery in Atl, but found out I had a date & time already scheduled when I called to gauge the progress of the moveDuring delivery, December 28th (which I had to use PTO for), none of my pieces were padded, wrapped or otherwise protected in ANY way, every single item was damaged & two items were visibly brokenI am a reasonable person, I fully understand things happenWhat I absolutely CANNOT abide is the deception that MiniMoves were attempting to get away with on my tableSomeone, during the transit had attempted to "repair" my 90+ year old solid wood table by using a hammer, one nail & screwThis "professional repair job" further damaged my table far more than the original break didWhat I find truly abhorrent is that if the "repair" had held, the movers would have put my table in my dining room believing that I would never be the wiserAfter all, how often do you crawl under your table to inspect it? If I had used the table in that condition and it fell on me or anyone else the lawsuits would be outrageousI filed a claim & they had someone as the furniture and determine what could be done about repairs, again I had to use PTO for thisA month later they were able to come out to fix my furniture, this was the 3rd time I had to take time offWhile they were there we flipped the table over, of course, that was damaged as wellSo the process started overTake pics, file a claim, wait to approve repairs, take off work so they could pick up the tableI took off work a 5th time for delivery of the table on March 30, this means moving my dining room took almost months!
While all this was going on I had advised my credit card to not pay them until the work was doneLuckily I have always paid my bills in full and on time so *** was willing to work with me and let the charge hold on my account while not accruing interest for a monthWhen the card came due the second month *** said my only recourse was to reject the charge and let them rebill me again once all work was doneI did everything in my power to do right by minimoves at this timeI made the CEO & VP aware that I had to reject the charge right now but in every email to them I have mentioned I will pay the FULL charges once all my work was completedThere was no malicious intent behind my reasoning other than I have never paid an interest charge and have no intention of starting to now over an issue that is not my fault, in fact, I am 100% the victimInstead of understanding that or having any compassion they rejected it so I am stuck paying the bill while I have no furniture, this leaves me no recourse if they never give me back my items or do not repair them sufficeintlyThey claim (in writing) this is b/c "at the time of pick up" I elected "valuation coverage" (which by the way was an additional charge to my original quote)I have asked times now (twice by written request) for the document I signed at pick up making the electionAll three times I have been refusedThat is b/c MiniMoves and I both know that document does not exisitI was not there at the pick up and therefore never could have made that electionRight there is enough to show they lie and manipulate their pricesI have had multiple contacted the CEO, VP, claims & Whitney with Quality AssuranceI have asked at least times that they condemn "repairs on the road", they refuseSo I believe they find the practice acceptable as long as they don't get caughtWho knows what other "handyman work is out there barely hanging onMini moves doesn't care though I also feel they owe me for my missed time at work for the extra times I had to take off work accumulating in hours of missed pay! Also for prolonging a week move into months!

Miguel and his staff were very careful with our belongings and with our home They wrapped every item in blankets and made sure to stack everything very carefully in the truck When we arrived to the drop-off point, they allowed us to tell them where we wanted each item and we very accommodating

From my first phone call to delivery, my experience with Mini Moved was wonderful Friendly, knowledgeable staff did their best to expedite my delivery I was amazed at how their teamwork made it all happen so quickly They were responsive, delivery people were great...I'm just very happy with their service

Did a gret job, moved fast and did a good job keeping the furniture in good condition
