Thank you for contacting Nicor Gas about your service concernsI have reviewed our records and found a request to start service in June of 2013, but I do not show a request to stop service until your Revdex.com correspondence was received. No matter how much gas is consumed, customers are
responsible for the monthly customer charge from the time the account is opened until it is closed.While reviewing your account I noticed that we exchanged your gas meter in April of this year and our records show that we have not received your request to restore your gas service. As a result, I closed your account effective 04/11/and rebilled your account. Your owing balance was adjusted from $to $and is due by 12/27/16. Thank you for the opportunity to address your concerns

Thank you for contacting Nicor Gas about your payment concern. I apologize for any inconvenience you may have experienced. I have reviewed your account and our records show that the overpayment has been reversed. I understand this situation was very frustrating to you, but once a
payment posts to an account we are unable to refund any money until the payment has been verified. This is why we have the day holding policy. I also want to thank you for taking your time to bring this matter to our attention. We will review our payment policies to see if changes can be made to prevent such an occurrence from happening again. bills that do not add upThey jump from high to higher within a one month period and if the meter was and is read accurately each other month, the bill wouldn't jump up and downSomething is wrong with Nicor's readingIn addition, Nicor had a tech out and he is so professional that he left the yellow wire sticking out of the meter and to today's date, it is still thereSame goes for the *** accountWe just turned it on under our name

concernsWe appreciate you taking the time to bring this matter to our
attention as we know your time is valuable to you. There are times when a
customer may accidently provide an incorrect address and they are started at a
different
address than they intended. We receive countless requests daily
to start service, and because of the information needed to put service in a
customer’s name it is highly unlikely a customer would want the financial
responsibility of a residence they were not living in When a customer
calls to start service, the service is placed in the customer name as soon as
possible. Putting the service in a new customer’s name automatically
stops the service for customer currently on service and a final bill is issued.Your final bill issued on 08/27/for the amount of
$and was due on 09/18/The bill also informed that the automatic
payment would be with-drawn on 09/18/15. The reason the balance was
$was because while on the budget plan you had built up an owing balance
and that balance is due in full when the account closesThe previous bill that
issued on 08/03/showed your budged plan amount of $was due on 08/25/
but your total account balance with Nicor Gas was $92.65.We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused and
our records show service was started back in your name when you contacted
customer service on 10/07/2015. Again, we apologize for any inconvenience
and appreciate you bringing this matter to our attention.Thank you for allowing Nicor Gas the opportunity to address

Thank you for contacting Nicor Gas about the recent work completed at your residence. When the technician was at your house they noticed brass connectors on your stove an oven. These brass connectors are a noted safety concern and they must be removed when they are found. I have
included information about brass connectors below and you can also see this information on the back of your bill. The technician was able to make the repairs to the stove, but because your oven is a built in unit, unfortunately Nicor Gas is unable to make the required repairs to these units. Anytime a safety concern is found at a customer’s residence Nicor Gas is required to make the situation safeWe made the repairs we could in order to inconvenience you as little as possible but because the safety concern was found on your appliance it is the customer’s responsibility to ensure the repairs are made to the oven. We appreciate your understanding in the matter and again we apologize for the inconvenienceThank you https://nicorgas.com/en/safety/appliance-equipment-safety/appliance-connectors According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission, certain older gas connectors may be dangerousGas connectors are corrugated metal tubes used to connect gas appliances to fuel gas supply pipesThese older brass connectors have a serious flaw in how their tubing was joined to their end piecesOver time, the end pieces can separate from the tubing and cause a serious natural gas leak, explosion or fireWhile these dangerous uncoated brass connectors have not been made for more than years, many of them are still in useAnd the possibility of failure still existsThe older these connectors get, the greater the possibility of failureUncoated brass connectors should be replaced immediatelyAlthough not all uncoated connectors have this flaw, it is very difficult to tell which ones doTherefore, any uncoated brass connector should be replaced immediately with a new plastic-coated brass connector or a new stainless steel connectorConnectors can wear out from too much moving, bending, or corrosionMoving the appliance, even slightly, whether to clean behind it or to inspect its gas connector, can cause the complete failure of one of these older weakened connectors and possibly result in a deadly fire or explosionAs a rule, you should replace the connectors whenever the appliance is replaced or moved from its locationOnly a qualified professional should check or replace connectorsDo not move your appliance to check the connector! They can easily break if moved even slightlyFor your safety, make sure a qualified professional performs the inspection and immediately replaces any uncoated brass connectors with stainless steel or plastic-coated connectors.
