I recently had the pleasure of selling my engagement ring through Worthy. The whole process was easy thanks to help from Anu and Nick. It was exciting to watch the live auction especially since the final bid was more than the original price! I would definitely recommend Worthy .

Worthy.com Response • Aug 27, 2018

Hi ***,
Thanks for your review here on Revdex.com. We are thrilled your found Worthy and that you found the whole process was easy and enjoyable. Best of luck to you. Best regards, the Worthy Team

They are excellent. Very well organized and a management team that is excellent.
Of course we were apprehensive sending our 4 carat ring to them wondering if we were being stupid. But every step of the way they provided us all of the details that were evidenced and made sense. We especially liked that at anytime you can pull out. And that we got a free up to date gia report as ours was lost years ago. We were given a range of $25,000 to $45,000. It sold at auction at $46,000! The results speak for themselves

Worthy.com Response • Aug 27, 2018

Thank you *** for sharing your selling experience with the Revdex.com. We are proud here at Worthy to offer an unbiased solution for selling your diamond. As you stated, we work with the GIA to get you and every seller, a 3rd party grading report so you and the buyers know exactly the characteristics of the stone. This is critical to getting the best price, along with 360 photography, for getting the best results. All our best to you. Thank you for using Worthy. Kind regards, the Worthy Team

I have contacted them that I did not accept the auction bid and wanted my ring and pendant returned to me 10 days ago. I was told I would get an email when it was sent out, I have heard nothing from them since, and I feel like they are holding my merchandise for an undo amount of time. I have been put on hold when trying to call them for hours at a time, and at this point I feel they are just stealing my things! There is no reason these item should not have been returned to me by now.

Mrs. T was very helpful to me while using Worthy. Actually, everyone I have ever dealt with from Worrh did an exceptional job. Kudos

I sent Worthy a diamond tennis bracelet to sell that I have an independent gemologist appraisal on for around $7,000. I realize that's insurance replacement value and did not expect to get that much, but was shocked when after receiving it and having it graded the auction process suggested I start the auction at $200 or so. I declined to do so. It was also mentioned that bracelets like mine were selling in the $450 range or so, but that wasn't until after they had my bracelet and I went to start the auction. At that point I was asked what my minimum price would be, and I entered $1,200. The process was all automated with many input fields that try to prompt you to enter a low amount to sell your item for. Once the item went up for auction the highest bid was only in the $400 range, so I declined it. Then they offered to relist for another period of time and it went up to maybe $500, which after the commission I would only get $400. It was not worth it to me to sell the bracelet for such a low amount so I declined. Their online system seems to try to trick you into accepting the low bid that you get from the auction.
After the auction was over and I declined to accept the low winning auction bid, I was then given a message that someone would call me in a couple of days about returning my bracelet. I got a call from a man and it went to my voicemail. He said something about maybe some other option. At this point I just wanted my bracelet back because the whole thing seems like a bait and switch. When I first entered the info about the bracelet into their site before sending it in, I got feedback that similar bracelets sold in the $1,000 to $1,200 range, which is what I had sold a similar item on Ebay for not long before. Yet when I sent the bracelet in, along with the appraisal, I hear nothing about price until the last minute when it's listed for auction and this insanely low $200 to $400 price is suggested.
I called Worthy back and got voice mail and left a message. I never heard back. That was on June 28. I then texted and e-mailed on July 6 and said to please send me my bracelet back. I got a response via text "We are preparing to ship back your bracelet to the address you've provided us. Please contact us for confirmation at ." I also got an e-mail that day saying "I put in the request for your item to be shipped back. Please advise that someone will need to sign for the package to ensure a safe delivery back to you. You will receive an email with the tracking information once a shipping label is generated. Please allow 5-7 business days for this to be processed. Please let me know if there is anything else I can assist you with." That was a week ago as of today, July 13, 2018, and I still have not heard anything back with a tracking number or information that my bracelet has been shipped back.
When I went to ship the bracelet to Worthy it was picked up within a couple of hours of me requesting to send it. I sent it on June 12 and it was received June 13. It was scanned at their GSI grading labs on June 18 and was starting to be graded on June 20. It was received back from grading on June 22. It was reviewed and ready for auction on June 25. The bidding started on June 26 at $229.50 and the bids never got much past $500 (of which I get 80%). Had I known that's all that I would get for the bracelet, I never would have sent it to Worthy to sell.
It has now been over a week since the auction ended, and I still haven't gotten my bracelet back, nor have I gotten a tracking number or any indication that it's been shipped. I don't see why it takes this long to return it to me. I feel like the representation that Worthy will get you a good price for your jewelry is false. The appraisal I have for my bracelet is from a certified independent appraiser in my area, Ira S, not a jeweler who is affiliated with a jewelry store or insurance company. I would not ever try to sell anything with Worthy again. The price I was offered was less than half what I would expect to sell this item for, and then I feel like I've been given the runaround trying to get my bracelet back.

Worthy.com Response • Jul 23, 2018

Understanding the differences in an appraisal price vs. the resell price is important for all sellers to know. While you stated you received an appraisal from a certified independent appraiser, that is typically for done as a retail replacement value for insurance purposes. Worthy works with the GIA and GSI to provide grading reports of every jewelry item that is goes to auction. Having an unbiased grading report is imperative to protect you as the seller and for the buyers to know exactly the characteristics of the jewelry item. Your diamond bracelet received a GSI grading report, and stated the piece as 32 round brilliant with a total carat weight of 3.52 ct(s) good finish, I1-I2 clarity, H-I color. The range was set at $1000 - $1200 for the auction. All customers set their preferred minimum and if the minimum is not met, as in this case, you can either accept or decline the highest offer. You as the seller are always in full control of your auction. You asked that your item be returned to you on June 6, of which we relied to you via an email on June 6:
***,
I put in the request for your item to be shipped back. Please advise that someone will need to sign for the package to ensure a safe delivery back to you. You will receive an email with the tracking information once a shipping label is generated. Please allow 5-7 business days for this to be processed. Please let me know if there is anything else I can assist you with. Best, Worthy
Within the 5-7 business days, on June 14, which was on the 6th business day, you did received notification from Worthy of your item shipping back. Your return has been confirmed and signed by you, received on 7/16.
Worthy works as an unbiased marketplace to help people sell their jewelry and get the best price and if that price is not met and the highest bid not accepted by the seller, every customer can request their item back. It is important to us that you know that you are in control of your auction during the entire process. Our goal is to provide a trusted and transparent selling experience to everyone.

Such a waste! I lost thousands of dollars! I do not recommend Worthy to anyone. I needed to sell my wedding ring and I did my research and felt with the reviews and Revdex.com rating I was safe to send my 3 carat diamond ring to Worthy. My jeweler was going to give my about half of what was actually paid, which I understand is normal for resale diamonds. I felt I could do better selling it myself and decided to go with Worthy who had "buyers" all over the world. Through the first part of the process and all through the auction, communication was good. I received emails and texts of every step. I felt taken care of and safe. The recommended price came back very low, much lower than what my jeweler even offered. Shocked but not deterred, I set my low price for my auction at what I wanted (it is nice they allow that) and went ahead with the auction. I should have just asked for it back at this point. But hindsight is 20/20! The auction ended well below asking price and just a but above their recommended selling price. Here's where it goes awry. At the end of the auction because it didn't sell at my asking price, they offer a choice to "challenge buyers" with a new low price, either 10%, 15%, or even 20% above the highest bid. Then in tiny print under the Challenge Buyer button is the option to bypass this and say "no thanks". In trying to exit out of the "challenge buyers" pop-up box, I ended up accidentally choosing "Challenge Buyers". I'm shocked! What the heck just happened? I did not want to sell my ring for half of what my low price was set at after the auction ended! In a frantic, desperate state just seconds after this happened, I called Worthy at the only number offered and was on hold for over two hours. Meanwhile on hold, I emailed, I sent messages through their chatbox, I called from another number not linked to my account all to no avail. In my time of absolute need, they were not available. This feels shady and I am sick that this wasn't set up better. These two options for "Challenge buyers" or "no thanks" needs to be clear and separate and not so close together! We are dealing with ten's of thousands of dollars! This needs to be fool-proof! They need to answer their phones! I was on hold for over two hours!! I am so disappointed with this end process and their lack of availability. How can I resolve an issue if they never answer emails or phone calls? By the way, I am calling during normal business hours. Do NOT send your high end jewelry to this company! They will rip you off!! I wanted to give no stars, but that's not an option so one star it is!

Worthy.com Response • Jul 26, 2018

We are sorry to hear that you were not satisfied with your experience throughout the process and that the end of the auction was confusing. Worthy is an honorable and reputable company and have held a Revdex.com A+ rating since we launched. We have reviewed your concerns regarding the additional options should your auction end and not meet your minimum. Our goal is to allow for additional bidding. You always are in full control of your auction and if we do not succeed in getting you the price to meet your minimum, we send back your item, fully insured and pre-paid via ***. You item was returned and you have confirmed receipt of your valuable. Our mission is to provide you with a trusted and safe experience to auction your ring in a competitive auction. Worthy is not buying direct but acts as the auction platform allowing for multiple buyers to view your items and bid every day. Worthy has reached out to speak directly with Rachel and she has been in contact with the Worthy VP Operations and we spoken and satisfied her concerns. Thank you.

Review
My auction just ended and I could not be more disappointed. I had a ring that was appraised by a GIA gemologist prior to submitting my ring to worthy. My ring was appraised at $9800.00. Worthy did an appraisal with their gemologist, however it greatly varied from the one I had done, also they never gave me an suggested price for their appraisal. I sent my ring in thinking that I could get at least $3500 during the live auction that took place over 3 days. I am disgusted at the so called “interested” buyers, It's all hype. I watched this auction all weekend and it showed 206 buyers interested in my ring. The highest bid I received was about $940, what a joke!!! I feel that I have been scammed to sell my ring at a FRACTION of it’s worth. Keep your ring, and try to sell through a local broker. Never again! I’m giving one star because there is no option for no stars. Now let’s hope they don’t switch my diamond when they send it back.

Worthy.com Response • Jul 18, 2018

Hi ***,
Worthy is a legitimate business and has an A+ Revdex.com rating. Worthy is a online auction marketplace that puts sellers, like yourself, in front of a community of vetted and interested buyers every business day. We understand that you were disappointed to learn that the appraisal value you initially received by a jeweler or insurance appraiser was the retail replacement value. That is different than the market trending resell value. Worthy has every diamond graded and provided you with a GIA grading report. This report is the industry standard and acts as the report card on the characteristics of the diamond so that all parties, you and the buyer know exactly what you have so that bidding can occur based on the true characteristics of the stone. As the seller, you set your minimum and see the bids that come in. Many buyers may express interest and look at your item, we have over 800 buyers on the platform. If your minimum is not met, you can either accept the highest offer or request for the item to be returned, insured and shipped back to you. Worthy shipped your item back to you per your request. Worthy is bringing trust and transparency to the resell marketplace. It is important to understand an appraisal is done based on retail values. Worthy uses GIA grading reports as the industry standard reports to inform all parties the properties of the diamond for auction resell. Understanding the difference between retail appraisal and resell market value is imperative. An auction such as Worthy's allows for unbiased and competitive bidding, allowing you options to consider. In your case, you chose for your item returned of which we have a confirmed receipt of your return. We honored our auction process and continue to be rated A+ by the Revdex.com.

Seamless experience. From the beginning consultation meeting, till the moment of sale, Worthy was an amazing experience. Their customer service and communication is some of the best I've ever experienced. User friendly and trust worthy.
Highly recommend.

Worthy.com Response • Jun 04, 2018

Thank you *** for your kind remarks. We really appreciate your sharing with Revdex.com so others like you who are looking for the go-to destination for selling their ring, will use Worthy. Consultations, as you did, are available in our NYC offices and always an option. The auction does allow, as you experienced for multiple bids and constant contact with our auction managers. Thank you for recommending Worthy. Best regards, the Worthy Team

I recently sold my engagement ring on Worthy.com and the process was seamless from start to finish. Recently divorced after a 32 year marriage, I had just tossed my rings in the drawer, not sure what to do with them. When I learned about Worthy.com, I thought the concept was genius, but was obviously skeptical about how safe it was and whether I would get a fair price for my diamond ring. Well, I can tell you that the team at Worthy was incredibly responsive, kept me apprised of the status of my appraisal, auction and sale, allowed me to view the bids on my ring, and was able to get me cash for my ring that I know was far in excess of what I would have gotten if I tried to sell it on my own. And I got to approve the final bid and the money was deposited right into my checking account! This is such a great concept to provide access to buyers from around the world and to allow women to get money for extra expenses, seed money for a business, or investment money.

Worthy.com Response • Jun 04, 2018

Thank you *** for sharing your selling experience with others thinking about selling their engagement ring. So glad we could help you move on! and get you the best price for your ring.

My auction just ended and I could not be more disappointed. I sold three rings and received about $300.00. I am heart broken and disgusted. It's all hype. I watched this auction all weekend and it showed 276 buyers interested in my rings. I feel that I was scammed to say the least. Take your jewelry elsewhere if you want to get a least a decent price. I would have done better at my local *** shop or *** or ***. I learned a hard lesson.

Worthy.com Response • Jun 04, 2018

and Worthy have been in touch with each other. Worthy does take all comments very seriously, especially ones that threaten the reputation of the company like *** stated here in her comments, " I feel that I was scammed". We do not want anyone to feel that way. Worthy is a reputable company and we are recognized by the Revdex.com with an A+ rating. For *** to feel otherwise, is not acceptable to us. We want all our clients to have a trusted experience selling their items. In reviewing ***'s items, one of her rings was not a diamond when evaluated, but a CZ. The brand rings were sold to her agreed and approved price. We reached out and offered to return her 3 items, but as stated in the below correspondence with ***: From ***, "I very much appreciate you reaching out, Jill(VP Operations Worthy). I sincerely apologize for causing such inconvenience. I obviously misunderstood the process.... I do not want to have the rings returned." ***, we apologize we the experience you had and we had pulled the rings back from the buyer as we did not want you to be heartbroken. Per your direction, however, we finalized the sale and issued you payment for your items. Worthy's goal is to provide the best selling experience for each and every client.

I was super skeptical to work with worthy as my rings were very expensive, and blindly shipping such an item off to the unknown was such a risk. I did my research as far as reading tons of reviews and noted that they are accredited by the Revdex.com, recognized in Forbes, & backed by many other trusted companies as well as the communication that was kept between myself and my "account manager". I was impressed by the continued communication and patience with my skepticism and how any of my questions were answered and my trust was gained. I was informed with honesty not to expect back what I paid for my ring but they can normally (90% of the time) guarantee about 40% of the retail value which was all I was hoping for. So with faith, I shipped out my rings and was happy with the continued updates as far as tracking & arrival & where my ring was on any given day as well as asking my permission to unmount my diamond for further inspection and better pictures. This process took a while and there was a long period of silence which concerned me. I called to inquire and my "account manager" was not available so the nice young lady I spoke with said she would leave a message for him to call me back the next day. He did not. I am a patient person, so I didn't reach out again, I just continued to check the site, and thankfully the lab uploaded the information on my ring and from then, the site decided to start an auction. Not only am I disgusted with the lab report because I am certain that it is based only on one ring & not the entirety of the bridal set, but the minimum bid was set FOR me at a price that was like giving it away. The auction ended and I did not get an offer for what I was satisfied, and I requested my ring to be sent back. The site then notifies me that I should receive a call from my "account manager" within 48 hours. Again, I am a patient person and I get that life/work is hectic and things come up. However, 6 days later I find myself calling because I have yet to receive a call or an email notifying me of whether my rings are en route back to me or not.
Maybe my experience just happens to be that one that got lost in the cracks but, to say I am disappointed is a vast understatement.

Worthy.com Response • May 29, 2018

Worthy apologizes for the delayed communication. The auction manager Nicole was working with was indeed out of the office on a personal leave and we recognized the delay in our services, as it is was not up to our standards. Nicole's ring was shipped back to her and was confirmed delivered via fed ex and signed for on 5/25. We are updating our in-house notifications so we better communicate with our clients. Our goal is to provide a premium experience when a clients uses the Worthy auction platform. Thank you for your patience.

It's always difficult letting go of jewelry that you have had an emotional attachment to. When I finally decided to let go, I looked up Worthy, along with several other options and competitors. Worthy was the easiest and best solution for me. I wanted to at least try to sell my item in the hope that someone would love my jewelry as much as I did. Having Worthy take care of everything from start to finish, rather than having me go on a scavenger hunt on my end (we live in a very remote area), made their fees totally worth it! They kept me updated on the process from start to finish, and ALWAYS kept their word! Although I still have a few items I will probably hold onto for a little longer, Worthy is definitely a worthy business partner in my book!

Worthy.com Response • May 14, 2018

Thank you for sharing your journey. We understand that there are attachments to certain pieces of jewelry. Worthy is here when you are ready to let go and move forward. Worthy is shaping and leading a significant change in behavior and is infusing ease and convenience into the very traditional diamond resell industry and taking it upscale using technology that is very appealing for both the sellers and professional buyers on the platform. We are so happy you found the process easy and was the best solution for selling your jewelry. Thank you for sharing your experience on Revdex.com. The Worthy Team

My experience with Worthy exemplifies many successful business qualities. They emphasize customer service, prompt feedback, friendliness, honesty, and proper setting of expectations. They carefully prepared my item and helped me estimate a realistic asking price. When the auction closed, the money was deposited in a prompt manner.

I ABSOLUTELY lucked out with Josh. I had a diamond that I had been debating to sell, but every time I contacted any company to inquiere about selling, I would get overwhelmed and lost with all the information I was given. In addition, I never felt the information and recommendation I was being given was in my best interest, UNTIL I stumbled upon Josh. He was absolutely transparent, engaged, straight forward, well informed and invested in me. This gave me absolute peace of mind that if I decided to sell, I would be getting the best and fair price for what I was selling. More importantly, he made it absolutely easy for me to make the transaction. I had spent close to 4 years shopping around, but it took me a few minutes to put the process in Josh’s hand. I am absolutely grateful I waited! Thank you Josh!!

Worthy.com Response • Apr 12, 2018

Thank you for sharing your experience and recommending and complimenting Josh. We agree, he upholds the core value of Worthy: Trustworthy, transparent, responsible, accessible, agile, and empathic. We are proud to have Josh on the Worth team. Thank you again for sharing with us and all the readers of Revdex.com. The Worthy Team

I had a fantastic experience using Worthy. From my first phone call with my rep to my last email and text, everything was explained to me in great detail. I was always kept in the loop, so I always knew what was happening with my ring. Worthy sent me a pre-paid label to send it to them in. Worthy insured my ring for the value of my insurance policy which gave me comfort. In addition, Worthy graded my diamond, took pictures of my diamond and made it shine bright. The final bid came in at more than double what my local jeweler offered me for my ring. And the final bid was no surprise. My rep at Worthy explained that the wholesale price for a ring is very different than a retail price. Once I understood the difference, I was able to understand the value for my ring. All in all, I had a great experience. I recommend Worthy to sell your valuables.
