Review: I'm moving to St. Louis from Indianapolis and needed help finding a home. Talked to a [redacted] from this company who promised us a home within 3-5 days for a fee of $199. Explained to him that we only had until the 15th of November to get placed into a home before we had to head back to Indianapolis from St. Louis to get our things. Well, as of the 12th, 5 days after we gave him our money we still haven't heard anything from him. In fact, all we have thus far is a couple of letters in my mailbox saying "unable to send, return to sender house vacant"He never even told us we had to contact home owners ourselves and basically plea to them to let us take over their home payments vs him taking care of getting us a house like he said he would. Had to LITERALLY call him from a different number all together to get him to answer the phone and he of course acted like he told us everything and said it would take a minimum of 90 days to file a refund and at least 5 letters from home owners denying us to take over their homes. Total misrepresentation of his company, what they offer, and the return process. He said if we couldn't find a house in our allotted time he would get us our money back immediately.VERY UPSET WITH HIM AND THIS COMPANY!!! Now posting this on here and disputing charges with my bank which they think I have a very good shot of getting back!!!Desired Settlement: want the full $199 back. This is misrepresentation. The website says something totally different from what a representative who contacted us told us.

I found American standard on Craig's list and so I called them and they told me that this process is easy and you will move I did my research and it is truly a scam they will not give me back... DONT DO IT!!!!

Review: When I signed up for american standard online, I was not told that I had to send out the letters myself by mail and wait for someone to contact me. These people are a ripof! I called multiple times to attempt to get a refund and not one person ever told me that I had to send out five letters in order to get a refund.Desired Settlement: I want my money back without having to use the service when I do not even need it in the first place. When I logged on and realized I had to send out the letters myself by mail, then I called them immediately and was told to wait 90 days. no one mentioned that I had actually use a useless service in order to get a refund.

Review: I contacted these individual on 1/30/15 I was assured by a representative that I would be able to find a home to take over payments or rent to own. I was not informed that I would have to reach out to the homeowners to persuade them to allow me to either take over payments or do a rent to own. The representative made it seem as though they had contracts with the homeowners or that it was an easy process. I was advised to send out letters to the homeowners. After sending out several letters not getting any results I requested a refund because the representative guaranteed me that if the service did not work for me I would be able to get my money back. I received an email from this company stating that I would have to wait 90 days before receiving a refund. But the individual I spoke with did not advise me that I would have to wait. I am not satisfied with the service because they actually did not provide any services to me but they withdrew 199.99 from my bank account. These people are ripping people off and providing false information as well.Desired Settlement: I would like others to know a full disclosure of how the service works from A-Z so that they will not get misled as I did. Also, I would like a full refund immediately.

Review: I began using this service on 8-15-2014, paying $199 which was refundable after 90 days. It was understood that I had to mail contact letters to the properties using thid company as my contact in which I would be notified by this company if I received any responses. After the 90 days I requested my refund and was told that I was eligable to receive it and was told to submit my request in writing, which was done. Now I've been told that I have to resubmit letters to the properties requesting a reason for them not responding to my letters. My complaint is, if I never received a response from them the first time, which the company has acknowledged and why I was told I was eligable to receive my refund, why is it now that I must contact them again when there is obviuosly no guarantee that they will respond the second time, especially if they didn't responded the first time. I discussed this matter with a supervisor that none of this information was provided to me before the purchase of services, and now understanding that if none of these properties respond to the letters that were sent, I would just be out of $200. All the supervisor kept informing me was that I had up to a year to get responses back which was not guaranteed and I would just loose my money for services I did not use. After realizing that he wasn't tryimg to help me, I informed him that I would be reporting them to the Revdex.com, he became rude with me and hung the phone up in my face which really makes me belive that this company is taking advantage of not only me but alot of other customers by misleading us with their services. All I want is my refund which I was told I was eligable to receive. I shouldn't have go threw all of this to receive my money back for services that I haven't used when I was told that I would recieve if I didnt use it. This is not fair not only to me but my family and I would deeply appreciate it if something was done about this.Desired Settlement: All that I want is my $199 refund which I was told I am entitled to.

Review: Refuse to refund my money. They told me that I could find a home. Have me a listing of places of people who lived in a these homes and I sent off everything and did everything the way I should. After no response from the owners I called them to see what happened, no one knew. After two months, I called for a refund, I had to go under terms and conditions to cancel, I did. I am still having problems getting my money back. They say after five rejections, no on everything responded for me to be rejected.Desired Settlement: 199.00 back that's all

Review: My boyfriend is an immigrant and does not speak English well. He was told that he could sign up for American Standards services and be placed into a database that would put people who were in foreclosure in touch with you. You would then name the price you wanted to pay and eventually become a homeowner of that particular property.American Standard falsified their services. They do NOT list the himeowners names or address but tell you to contact them with this generic letter that IS NOT LEGAL in any form. I used my credit card to pay and after not being able to access the account for the first five hours bc they messed up my information, I started to feel suspicious and asked for a refund based upon the fact I could not even access the website. I was given a nasty customer service representative that told me I would never see my money so to quit calling! I continued for the next three days to ask for a refund and now, per their rules, I have to wait 90Days, be denied by 5 families in foreclosure and about 100 other hoops I must jumo through.I have taken the paperwork on their website to the law firm that I work for and was told these are fraudulent documents, as well.Desired Settlement: I wish to have my 199.99 refunded

Review: I found out in a few days after signing up with American Standard that they were scaming me. I spole with a man named [redacted] ID#805319 then a lady named [redacted]. I was on craiglist searching for apt when I came upon this 3br&2ba for $1275 a month, I thought this seems reasonable,so I callthe ####-###-#### and got [redacted], he explain how easy it is to own your home and the place I saw on the site is one of many they have and thats all I had to pay doen just the first month rent no deposit down. We got disconnected and when I called back it was [redacted] answered, I ask to speak back to Joesph she said she could not connect me to him and that she can help me,so I told her what we spoke about she told me that they help alot of families own there first homes and American Standard can do the same for me all I have to do is sign-up with them its$199 for check for any lean on the house I may choose and if I don't find anything in 90 dys money is refundable no question ask. I got homes sent to me when I check tham out it was not as they shoe you or say it for lease to own I called customer service and told them the info they gave was false and I need my money backshe said I don't understand the service and I have to wait 90dys for refund.Desired Settlement: $199 plus interest for false advertising and aggravation

Review: My husband tried their service and was unsuccessful, following their suggestions and still not receiving the results we needed,we asked for a refund but was told we had more time to give the program more time to work and was given five more listings and told what to say in the request, that was still unsuccessful,we contacted them again and was told that the service was expired and that we could not receive a refund,we suggested was a partial refund but was refused, this is letter ofdesperation hoping this complaint changes their policies and conditions to more communicable scenariosfor all interested parties.Thank Your Cooperation,Sincerely W[redacted]Desired Settlement: A partial or full refund and change in their refund policies and conditions.

Review: Tried to get refund had to wait 90 days and then was told had to provide 5 rejection letters which I never received/I never got any response from any person I sent the letters to in the first place I explained this to American standard they didn't care no letters =no refundDesired Settlement: Would still like $199 refund even tho there is no way to obtain letters

Review: I was looking in the green sheet here in Texas for a home and I came across American Standard, They tell you that you could purchase a home for every #100,000.00 on a house it's $500.00 for the payment. then they ask you to pay $199.00 for the listing and they Guarantee you that you can fine a house, and if you don't find a house in 90 days they will refund your money after 90 days But what they don't tell you is that you have to send out letters to the home owner to ask them if you can buy their home because it's in pre-foreclosure, Then you have to wait for their response. So I did everything that they were asking and I didn't find a house. (I don't think that these peoples homes are even in pre-fore closer). So it's been after 90 days my 90 days were up on June 14th, 2015, so I called to cancel and get my refund so what they tell you is that you have to go on the website and request your refund. (You have to go to terms and conditions and that's were they now tell you that you have to have received 3 rejection letters for home owners). Here is whats in the terms and conditions.Desired Settlement: I would like you to look into this company and have them shut down for false advertisement or for not disclosing all of the information that you get after your 90 day period. Here's there new mailing addressStandard Mailing Address:Please be advised that our mailing addresses has been updated:[redacted] Coast Village Road, Suite #[redacted], Montecito, Ca 93108

Review: This company states that they have a list of homes that are due to go into foreclosure. But in all honestly, these homeowners have no idea that American Standard exits, & many are not in a foreclosure/preforclosure status. It is a random list of homes that they give the consumer to contact to offer to take over payments. I was charged an amount of $199 to cover any check for possible leins on properties. These homeowners are not looking to sell. This company knows nothing of said homes & is taking money from potential buyers under the veil of saying they have had contact with the properties. I have waited the "trial period" to figure out how to be rememburised, to no avail. This company is a scam, they have changed policies & given false advertisement in order to receive money when no service is expected to be rendered.Desired Settlement: I simply want to be remembursied for the money spent on a scam program.

Review: Won't give me my refund, the program did not deliver as promised, been given the run-around since May 2013, every single week it is a different stipulation, as of now, July 12, 2013, I still have not received my refund, and I just called and now all of a sudden they have moved, it has been excuse after another, now again, I'm resending information already sent certified mail, which shows being delivered and accepted. Now, I have to resend it and wait another 30 days! This company is a fraud, no dot give them your money, you will never see it again, I do believe they are using a forclosure list and have never actually never actually spoken to nor contacted any homeowners, because I personally know someone that was on the list, and they have verified that they have never been contacted by American Standard, nor are they in forclosure. WARNING, THEY ARE A FRAUD DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY MONEY!!!Desired Settlement: My $199.00 plus the $3.56 used for certified mail. For a total of $202.56.

Review: After making the purchase and subscribing to this company, I realized it was a scam an hour later... I just wanted my refund after I didn't agree to their terms. Instead they argued me down about my reason as if I really needed one to request a refund. I recieved a confirmation after I declined the agreement and they will not honor it at all. I just want my money back.Desired Settlement: In the amount of $199.00

Review: I'm cancelling my account, because is being over 92 days since I opened and nothing is being happen.Desired Settlement: I will like to request for my refund to my Discovery card.

Review: I was searching a rent to own home when I came across this company, I was informed by a rep that all I have to do is pay $199.00 to start the process of the rent to own. He told me that it was risk free and if I don't want to go through with it then I would get a full refund. I ask him what is there website information, he told me that once I pay he will give me all that information. I asked the rep is this a scam, he said no. He told me once I get the login information that I can pick a home and to call him back to start the process. I told him I needed to move in 1 week he told me that would be plenty of time as they can get it done in 24 hours. so after that I paid went online and picked out a property, when I tried to call him back he did not pick up the phone. I called so many times and left message and all was unanswered. When I called the customer service department I was told that the process is that I have to mail letters to homeowners to see if they want to give up there home. I asked you guys dont have property waiting to be rented they told me know. That I have to mail out the letters. At that point I asked for a refund and was told by a supervisor that I would be charged a processing fee. I said I was not told about a processing fee. I tried to go through my bank but was unsucessful. This company ruined my life, and what the rep told me was not true, if he had told me that I had to mail out letters to homeowners to see if they want to give up there home I would have never gone through with it because the homeowners can decline. I hate this company I would never in a millions years recommend them to anyone as they have ruined my life and now I am still trying to get back my $199 fee that I was told was risk free and I would get a full refund if I decide not to go through with it. The phone call was recorded according to the agent and the supervisor who listened to the call.Desired Settlement: I want my full refund of $1999 as I was promised I would get if I wanted to cancel

Review: Looking on craigslist for a new home as my home is being foreclosed on, I ran across this too good to be true location and upon calling to speak to the owner of the property I reached good ole American standard via a pushy sales/scam artist who pressured me into giving my card# at a whopping $199.00 to get in touch with the homeowner. Upon receiving the email and when I was able to access the website I realized that this was nothing I was going to do as I am not an investor, and someone simply trying to find a place to live. The person on the other end said the money was refundable and so I went to the website today to send the cancellation form in and was told I had to follow the terms and conditions. I am losing my home and I don't care about their terms or conditions and the State Attorney for Calf. should be ashamed to let this go on to people who are already hurting. In fact I will contact there office next! I do no have 90 days to wait for my money and purchased a service that I don't want and I would like it backDesired Settlement: $199.00 refunded back to card used

Review: When I signed up with the company the man stated that after 90 days if I wasnt happy I would be able to get my money back. Today was the day I could call and get it back bit what wasnt stated was that I would have to have 5 denial letters from the people and after sending 20+ letters I never got a denial letter back. The guy never stated that I woyld have to do all that for a refund he told me to just call and that they would cancel my membership and I would be refunded. Please help with thisDesired Settlement: I just want my $199.00 back from the company it was of no help to me.

Review: On December 4, 2014, we paid $199 to American Online because their company claims they work with people who are in foreclosure to work out a way that consumers can make arraignments to take over the payments in order to prevent loosing their home. We were given a login ID and password to a members' location and told to use the form letters that have been provided. We were also told that we should physically look at abut 10 different properties and then send a letter to the homeowner. Between December 6 - December 18, We sent approximately 25 letters. I kept a list of all the addresses for which I had sent letters. During the first wee of January 2015, I called American Online to make sure we had done everything properly. They told me to just be patient. Towards the end of January, we started to feel uncomfortable that we had not heard anything from any homeowner, so we asked about their cancellation policy. The only thing I was told was that we had to wait 90 days from the day of our initial sign-up date to receive a refund. On the Company's website there are two areas where the cancellation request is mentioned. On March 4, I filled out the request entitled "Cancellation Request" under the Member heading, and submitted the company. On March 5, 2015, We called the company to get more information as to how and when we would be able to receive my refund, since not one homeowner ever contacted us. As I spoke to the first rep, her information did not make any since as far as the company preparing the necessary information for our refund, so I ask to speak to a supervisor and after speaking with him I was positive that this was a scam because he mentioned that in the "terms and conditions" that I have to have 5 denial letters from the homeowners. We were told to use their form letters which are on their website(which I did), but the letter did not say to have the homeowner send us some sort of denial letter back to us if they were not interested. It is obvious that this is a scamDesired Settlement: This company has obviously found a way to scam the public. There was no way that I should have taken it upon myself to use their form letter and ask for an unknown homeowner to send me a denial letter. The homeowner had no obligation to send me anything, nor do I believe that their public records of their foreclosure and financial carelessness was being exploited like this. This is awful. I just hate to think how many people have been mistreated by this company. This needs to stop immediately

I followed all the directions to getting a refund. They have NOT responded. I will make further attempts at this.

DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE. FRAUD LIARS DECEITFUL RIP OFF
