My review will match the others. This company blasts their "listings" all over craigslist and literally scams people all day long. I called in anyways and the pitch sounds good. They say you have to pay $199 for their service to run title prior to moving in. They also said their customer service sets up the meetings between the homeowners. I explained I can run my own title reports and I need legitimacy to move.forward. the agent kept trying to breeze by my concerna and could tell I wasnt some fool thats going to be a sucker. This company should be blocked by craigslist, this company is ripping off people all day getting their hopes up for something that is not real!!!

Review: When I signed up with American Standard Online, I was told after 90 days I could cancel my account and receive my one time payment of 199.00 back. Per the companies instructions, it was said to send a written letter with my account information sent as a certifiable letter and a return address for the cancellation to occur. And after 30 days I would receive my refund. I mailed out my letter on April 16 2014 just as the terms and conditions stated. I have yet to receive my refund or any sort of notifications and it is now July 16 2014.Desired Settlement: I would like my refund of 199.00 sent out. My cancellation letter has all of my information. Also I know the company received my letter because it was sent as certified mail, and I still have the information on that. I complied with your terms and conditions, now honor your own terms an conditions.

Review: My husband I were looking for homes to rent. A listing came up on craigslist with a great looking house. I called the listed number. I was told they offer rent to own homes, of which we were also interested in. He then said for $199.00, we would have full access of rent to own homes in our area. In fact, he said between 33-50 homes were available. If we did not find a home in 90 days we would be refunded. We agreed, but quickly learned that we had been scammed. When were were able to access the website it gave listings of foreclosed homes. 50% of the listed homes did not exist or were not in foreclosure. We were also not told that we would have to send letters out to these homeowners asking if they would be willing to do a lease to own option. We also quickly learned that we would not be getting a refund until we had 5 denial letters from home owners. How in the world would we get 5 denial letters when some of the properties do not exist? We were told that this company would help to find us a home. We paid $199 for nothing, and it is fraud. Lastly, we were not even able to view any of the homes on the site. It is only a view of the top of the homes. This company is lying and scamming innocent people. And how would these homeowners feel if they new their houses were being listed this way? Also, you are not able to view the website without paying first. Therefore, you would never know you needed 5 denials to get a refund.Desired Settlement: I would like my $199 refunded back to me. I was told that if I was not satisfied within 90 days I would get a refund. I was never told when I paid that I needed 5 denial letters in order to receive a refund. You do not know all the details until you pay and log on. What this company is doing is fraud.

Review: I signed up with this company to try and buy my first home, with no success after the 90 days I called them to ask how I can get a refund the person who answered stated all I had to do was send them a certified letter requesting my refund but that they will keep 10%. at no time did she tell me that I needed 5 declined letters from the home I sent letters to. so I did so it has been a month since I mailed the certified letter and did not hear anything from them when I called them they stated that they received my letter but it was incomplete because I didn't attach the 5 denial letters. I sent out like 20 contact letters not one responded to me. so I asked him how I was supposed to get these denial letters he stated I needed to send out more contact letters and wait till I get a respond form them....I think this company is a scam and is only out to get your money.Desired Settlement: I would like to get my refund for my $200.

Review: When I signed up for them to help me find a house they told me if I could not find a place that they would refund me back my $199.00 when I didnt find a place I called them asked for my money back but then they told me that I need 5 denial letters in order for them to do that which they did not tell me in the beginning when I paid them and no one will send me back a denial letter and since no one will give me the denial letters they won't refund me back my $199.00. My i.d number for them is -80**1Desired Settlement: $199.00

Review: I feel that only partial service was delivered. When attempting to contact for information or support, phone calls were never returned. Therefore, how could one cancel within the given specified time. After numerous mailings of contacts to addresses of so called foreclosed homes to purchase, not one letter yielded any response. I feel that this is a scam to get the money and then refused to delivery the services.Desired Settlement: I feel that since all of the services were not rendered a partial refund is warranted.

Review: The company's business offers consumers to pay $199.00 to access their website to find houses for sale and to take over the monthly payments on foreclosed and pre-foreclosed homes. The problem with this is that this information is available on various websites for free. Once the homes go into the pre-foreclosure or foreclosure status one must work through the lenders for approval. Them only way to deal with homeowners is before this status occurs and only by lender qualification. The company refuses to accept emails for refunds and requires a registered letter. However, all their communications is by email. Ans the company refuses to return the consumers $199.00 after 90 days.I sent a registered letter to the address indicated and it was traced for receipt on 11/24/2014 and have yet to get my refund or that they have not acknowledged recite on my letter.Previous communication with your office reveals that this company has various names and address they use. But, my registered letter was delivered to the address indicated.Desired Settlement: The company stated that they withhold 10% of the $199.00 on refund. Since they put me through extra costs to include a registration cost of $13.25 they should refund every penny plus the registration cost.

Review: I have contacted American Standard Online 3 times about the service they scammed me on and requested my $199 money back. They have told me that I have to go a full year and show proof that their service does not work and I had no luck. One of the houses is down the street from my friend and I talked to that person and they are not in a pre or foreclosure status and never have been. When I relayed this information over to the company they told it must have been a typo on the address, the house is the only one on that particular side of the street. They are very bad scam artists and ripping people off. I have contacted my bank aboout a charge back and they told me company would probably fight it. They need stopped.Desired Settlement: I want them to refund my money ASAP!!

I saw their ad on Craigslist and called to see where the house was they had listed. The person went through their sales pitch and said it would cost $199. I asked him what the name of the company was and said I would have to check up on them before I was willing to pay them any money. He got irate and told me to F-off and hung up on me. I feel sorry for anyone that would give these frauds any money.

Getting hung up on must be a trend with this company. Terrible customer service, obviously a scam. Craigslist should definitely block their ads. This "company" is not legit.

I am so glad I do research before forking over money to shady companies. I had found the same thing in craigslist awhile back and the person on the phone was kind of shady.I kept asking for a website so that way I can check out what they was about and he wouldn't give it to me unless I paid the $199. I told him I didn't have it right then and there so he told me to call bk once he does so he can get me in on the program.

From then on I figured something was up. So do I reconmend it HELL NO..

Review: To Whom It May Concern,I contacted the manager of this company on the next business day which was July 7, 2014 and requested a refund. The initial purchase was July 3, 2014. I explained to [redacted] that the addresses listed on their website didn't exist in my area and I wanted a full refund applied to my credit card. He became rude and said I would have to send a certified letter to request a refund. I asked for his email and physical address and he refused. I told him that the advertisement was fraudulent and he continued to refuse to give me a refund. I would like your help to get my refund of 199.00 Thank youDesired Settlement: I would like a full refund of the amount 199.00 applied back on my debit card. Thank you

Review: I contacted American Standard via telephone and acquired their services for 200 dollars to help buy a home that was being foreclosed on. In this conversation what was made clear to me is that after 90 day I would be able to get my refund no problem and then the money exchange ensued. I spoke to several representatives about this in the months coming to this point and they all gave me a variation of what I am to do which was piece milled and not the entire truth. To make a long story short I will not be receiving my refund due to lack of information on the forefront from this company.Desired Settlement: I would like to receive a full refund and for them to be upfront with people who are seeking their assistance in finding a home.

Review: American Standard stated on the initial phone that they owned foreclosed home within my area that were available for rent-to-own. I asked several times if in fact they themselves owned the foreclosed properties, and was told several times that they did. I was also told that I could cancel my membership hassle-free at anytime. Once I paid the over $200 membership fee for services, I discovered that they did NOT own the homes. The homes were only in foreclosures and the home owners in some cases were still living in the homes. I immediately called to cancel my membership but was told I had to wait 90 days. I called back 90 days later and was told I had to send in a letter to cancel services as well as 5 denial letters from homeowners. None of these terms or conditions were told to me, even when I called to initially cancel my membership. After speaking with a manager about cancelling my membership because of the false pretenses of their service I was told I had to mail in a cancellation letter along with 5 denial letters from homeowners.Desired Settlement: I would like a full refund of my membership fees and for American to be required to verbally tell ALL their potential clients that they do not own the foreclosed home and the cancellation terms.

Review: Looked online for rentals on Craigslist and kept seeing a phone number for the area in Pittsburgh where I want to live. Called and spoke to a customer rep who said program is for people taking over mortgages from homeowners who are beginning foreclosure. I was under impression that someone would help you find a home and easily just took over their mortgage. I paid $199.00 over phone on my debit card but after looking into more, it was different. They mentioned nothing of us writing a letter to homeowner and the process after that. I called to get my money back 24 hours later and was on hold for 50 minutes the first customer rep said I had to wait 90 days. I explained I don't have the time frame to write letters to homeowners. Then a supervisor also got on phone and was rude and have me run around. This company is total fraud!!!Desired Settlement: $199.00

Review: The company deceives its intents. It sells you access to a website eluding that it will help you buy a home. It provides listing of pre-forclused but does not help you buy them. It asks you to contact them yourself. Which is not what they advertise. They also stated that a refund for the fee is refundable at any time. However, they require 90 days for the fee to be refunded. Customer service is rude and disrespectful.Desired Settlement: The charge of $199 that was promised to be refunded.

Review: At the time that I signed up for this service I specifically asked if after 90 days I could obtain a refund if I did not find a home. I was told yes to just call customer service and it would be taken cared. After 90 days of sending out approximately 50 letters, all of which were returned unopened, and viewing as many house at "curb side" and being unable to locate any home from Hartford CT to Stafford Springs, CT wherein there was anyone even living in the property, I requested a refund. I was told I had to provide 5 "refusal" letters from homeowners to qualify. I told them all the letters where returned unopened, marked unforwardable by the post office and therefore, I did not have any "refusal" letters. I was told that would not suffice and there was nothing further they could do and hung up. Now when I call they just hang up w/o speaking to me after keeping me on hold for 20 mts or more. I have continued to try to obtain a house through this service. It has now been 7 months and not one of the properties I have looked at had anyone living in them with all inquiries being returned unopened and unable to forward per the post office. This company is a scam. I want a complete and total refund of my $199.00. Thank you for your timeDesired Settlement: $199.00 refund to the credit card they were given.

Review: I called American Standard Online on Tuesday, April 1st, in regards to their ad about a house/property that I was interested in possibly buying on land contract. When I reached the person I thought was to tell me more about this property, I had in fact reached a SALESPERSON for their service. She then proceeded to sell me their service for $199, which I was told was them helping me to find and them helping me to purchase a property being sold ON LAND CONTRACT OR RENT/LEASE TO OWN. As soon as I got into their database I realized I'd been RIPPED OF! Their database is supposedly a database of current people in the process of being foreclosed on, letters you can use to contact them and information on how to reach their "customer service", which is a JOKE!!!!!!!!I I called, and after waiting for about 45 minutes on hold to get ahold of them, was told I am not yet eligible for a refund as it's only after 90 days , and only if you can't find a place to purchase. EXCUSE ME!!!!!!! I have no intention of contacting people, at the worst time of their life, to try to take advantage of their bad fortune!!!!!!!!!! It did not take me 90 days to see that this service is a SCAM and that I did NOT get what I was told I was purchasing!!!!!!!!Desired Settlement: I want a full refund of my $199 immediately, without having to contact these poor people and get REJECTION LETTERS FROM THEM!!!!!!!!!

Review: on 11/02/2014 we contacted American Standard Housing and was told by their gent Paulisa about this program to help us get into a home with an agents help and that they would guide us all the way through the process of buying a home. We were never told that these were homes "not on the market" until we paid $199 for their services, but these are pre-foreclosure homes and we have to write up a document to the owner and the bank to see if they will let us take over the home. There is no help from an agent and pretty much we paid $199 for a website, log in id and password. The homes we found on line are not even on their housing list of available homes. I even called one of the homes' owner that was listed on their site and they had no idea that they were in foreclosure, so this company is putting pics of houses that are not available to draw people into their web and pay $199 fee for nothing. I have contacted them by phone and their website asking for a refund and they are telling me I have to wait 90 days to apply for a refund. these people are taking money for services that they do not do.Desired Settlement: $199, the price I paid them on 11/02/2014

Review: American Standard Online won't return my money after I tried the service out. I waited 90 days, sent a letter indicating why I would like my money back through certified mail. It was denied without any notice. I was told today I have to get 5 denial letters from the homeowners I contacted. I have no clue how to get denial letters from the people I contacted especially if the people no longer live there. I no longer live in WI to get denial letters. I don't think this company is ethical and I hope there will be a class action lawsuit against them!Desired Settlement: I would like the money ($199) that was so easily taken from me via debit card sent to me in the form of a certified check.
