Review: I found a listing on craigslist for a house here in Tyer Texas for only $750 a month. I call the number to inquire and it takes me to the American Standard Online. They explained how there product helps cusotmers who are in the process of forclosure find suitable families to simply take over the monthly mortgage notes to avoid having a forclosure on there credit. For a refundable processing fee of $199 to cover legal documents, title searches, acess to the listings, and etc. I specifically asked if these homeowners were poeple who contacted them and are working with them to find possible candidates. I was told yes by the representative on the phone. I then asked several times that if I was not satisfied with the services or find a house that I like then I can simply call back up and cancel for a full refund. Once again I was told yes. I even advised that I was unsure because of all of the scams that are out there and people who are unable to get thre mcney back. She assured me that they have been in business for many years and that all I had to do is simply call to cancel and receive a full refund. I go to the adresses on the list and none of the families I talked to heard of them and are not in forclosure. I even have letters from the homeowners on this list as proof. I call to cancel and told that I have to wait 90 days then submit 5 letters from list. They told me they would review the conversation since it recorded and call back for results. I call back and they avised me then couldn't find it because the number they have my home number is not the number I called from. So I ask whey didnt' anyone contact me by phone/email over the past four days to advise me so I can give them the number I called from. I was told that is not there RESPONSIBILITY!!Desired Settlement: I would just like to please have my money refunded back to me without having to get my attorney involved. Because if I am forced to go that way I know what was said and recorded and I know that I am in the clear and if I have to get my attorney involved I will ask for full $199 plus attorney fees, plus suffering because I was misled and lied to.

Review: American Standard (AS) is a company that promises (according to the sales pitch with my rep) to get you into a home period. In the month of November 2014, I placed a call to AS regarding renting to own a foreclosed home. On December 4, 2014, I decided to purchase the service they offered for $199.00. During the time of the transaction, the rep "guaranteed" that they could get me and my family into a home before Christmas of the same year. Also during my conversation with the rep, I was told that I could use their address as my return address so that the homeowners could reach them on my behalf. In addition, I was informed that I would receive a refund after 90 days. Excitedly, I mailed off about 50 letters to various homeowners that were/are in foreclosure, within the 90 days I was given. Well unfortunately, during the given time period (90 days), I never received anything from anyone. I called AS several times and got "give it some time" responses. After the 90 day period was up, I called AS back to discuss my refund. The reps told me I had to go to the website and read their terms and conditions and follow the steps. The words were I "qualify for a refund" Needless to say, the steps included sending AS a certified letter requesting my refund. While waiting on confirmation of receipt, I learned it took them more than 2 weeks to receive the letter from a place that is less than 2 hours away. I also learned that I had to mail, along with the refund letter, 5 denial letters from the homeowners. I thought, how would I receive denial letters when I used their address as the return address? It was senseless, but this is what I was told. The final result, I will NOT get my refund! This company has very misleading practices, they misinform customers, and are PREPARED to answer questions (when a customer has an issue) that they've obviously answered many times before. DO NOT do business with American Standard!Desired Settlement: I would like the refund that they give to customers after the 90 day period. $179.10.

Review: In October 2014, American Standard Representative advised me that the homeowners were fully aware of their company. As I found out the homeowner I actually was renting from at the time had no clue. I brought it to her attention once I seen the residence online, she immediately called her mortgage company which they also had no clue of American Standard. Once she advised me she had no clue and was exactly only 20 days late with her mortgage. I felt very uncomfortable, lied to and decieved. I called within a couple of weeks and explained what had happened, more lies were given to me. I was directed to wait so long for my refund and now here I am March 2015. They refuse to give me my refund due to these 5 refusal letters. Like I explained to 8th rep, that there was no way I trusted them and thats why I called within 2 weeks for my refund due to the lies told to me. And when I had called a prior time showing how the listing weren't accurate, that too was a heads up of FRAUD!!!!They were very Rude!!!!There so call Supervisor [redacted] #2069 is a joke as well as [redacted] who has a thick either English or Australian accent, she also belittles you. Please just give me my FULL refund not partial due to the stress it has brought upon me as well as high blood pressure.Desired Settlement: A full refund not partial, it took numerous attempts, many hours as well as stress and blood pressure.

They say they give refunds but make it almost impossible for you to get it.

Review: This company is running a scam and they should not get away with it. They take your money (all of the customer services representatives are clearly working off of commission), provide you with the addresses of homeowners who are either not interested in selling, do not know that they are being foreclosed on, or are no longer living in the home. They initially tell you that you can receive a refund but they are not forthcoming with the extraneous tasks that it takes to even request a refund. The customer service representatives are unprofessional and non-helpful. Even the supervisor and manager were rude. I have requested a refund on 3 separate occasions with no success. I am attempting to retrieve this refund through Revdex.com before I contact my attorney. I may only be out $199.00 but this company has taken thousands, potentially millions, of dollars from innocent customers.Desired Settlement: I would like a complete $199 refund for the funds paid on Wednesday, July 16th, 2014.

Review: This company was going to help buy a place I gave them 200 dollars to start the process. Was going to make an appointment to look at some houses but the person that was going to arrange this never called back. 200 was for closing cost.Desired Settlement: Would like to receive $200 refund form this company. That was going to closing costs.

Review: Dear Revdex.com,I signed up with American Standard Online over a year ago, thinking if it wasn't what I needed I could get a refund, since they make it sound like an easy task. They charge a $199 fee to use their service. However, it wasn't what I was looking for and when I tried to get a refund they were cold and told me I had to have 5 letters from the home owner. When I tried to contact them, I got no response. It is almost impossible to have a ex homeowner of a foreclosed property whom no longer lives on the property to care enough to write you a denial letter, but that's exactly what American Standard expects in order to get any type of refund. I have gone through much stress, sending the business letters, calling customer service, where your on hold for at least 20 minutes, just for them to tell you either get the letters or you get no refund. I begged and pleaded, letting them know my situation, yet there is no sympathy from any representative or supervisor. Now they just told me my account just "expired" so no I can't even log on.Please help!!! This is the worst business as far as refunds I've ever dealt with!!Sincerely, Leah M. CarsonDesired Settlement: $199 startup fee

Review: I Devin Ray Demuth, disabled veteran. I found an AD on craigslist for a home in Los Angeles. The business is AmericanStandardOnline.com, I called and told the lady that I wanted to move into a home in the next few weeks, I had told her I wanted to use my VA Home loan, she explained to me that I could have the deed transferred into my name in 24 to 48 hours, I said " So I could move in tomorrow?", she said yes. After paying $199 dollars, I logged onto my account - OrderID: 61263, I found out that I had to send letters to the homeowners and ask them to move out, which wasnt discussed at all in the phone call with the lady. I felt like I was misled, I called to get my refund back and they said they reviewed the tape and didn't find anything wrong. I always knew not to trust these too good to be true stories and I feel like crying. Im 27 and want to do something worthy in my life by having a home. They didn't seem to care about my sob story if by explaining to them that I'm 100% disabled, and that I almost died fighting for this country, it didn't seem anything would work. So now I am filling out this complaint form. Please help me.DevinAmericanStandardOnline contact info:Please contact us at ###-###-#### or email us at [email protected] with any questionsDesired Settlement: I feel like I was wrongfully mislead out of my $199 dollars, they wont send my the recording of the discussion that took place. Please help me get my $199 dollars back.Billing summary-------------------------------Your OrderID is: 61263Keep this number for future referencePlease note we have charged your credit card, ending in the last four digits (5414) for the sum of 199 dollars.Thank you Revdex.com.[redacted]

Review: My boyfriend and I were looking for a house together.I was on craigslist and found a house listed by American standard online. It looked like a nice house,so I contacted the person and he told me all about what they did.He said they were into homes that were going into foreclosure, that for $199 we could get a list of homes and that we had to write the owners a letter urging them to let us(my boyfriend and I)help them by buying their house before it went into foreclosure. We would get the house for a good price we were told.We wrote ten letters as was required.First,I had a woman call and harass me saying that who the $#$@ was I to "help" her with her "problem",and that I was a mental midget(among the many names she called me),and too stupid to know any better about things.I contacted the company and told them what happened, they apologized and the matter was not pursued by them. Then came the second problem, out of the ten letters we sent out, eight came back with a mark from the post office saying no such address existed!I called them about that and told them they were b.s. and that we wanted a refund.I was told to refer to their refund policy.I did what was asked and let them know we were ready for our refund. They continue to send emails saying to refer to the refund policy to get a refund.I have called and emailed them and have gotten nothing!I am fed up and I told them if they didn't send our refund that I would report them to the Revdex.com,so that is what I am doing. All we want is our $199 refund check, and an apology for wasting our time.Anything that could be done would be appreciated.Thank you.Desired Settlement: We would like our refund of $199 and a letter of apology. If possible a refund on the money we spent on stamps, but that's okay if the stamps are a no.I just figured we paid for a half of a book and they aren't cheap!

Today, I have spoken with Marvin (2357) and he had shared with us more about this program. I have seen positive and negitive reviews pertaining to Anchor Home Financial. Has anyone had great experience with this company? Do they really help you with having your dream home? I am thinking twice about investing $199.00 keeping in mind that money is hard to come by.

Review: This is the E-mail correspondence I sent to American Standard Online Support.:Requesting an Immediate Refund: ORDER ID 78337[redacted]: [email protected] Aug 18 (2 days ago)My name is [redacted]. We spoke with a man by the first name of [redacted] in regard to a posting on Craigslist: a home located in Bargersville, IN. The number called originally was, ###-###-####; expecting to speak to a woman by the name of [redacted]. Instead, after being placed on hold for 20 minutes, this guy by the name of [redacted] answered. We had him on speaker phone so that we could both speak with him; he outright lied to us (a consumer) and told us that if we applied $199 (August 16th, 2014), that would give us unrestricted access to a list of local FORECLOSED HOMES WITH ASSUMABLE MORTGAGES; SUCH AS THE HOME LISTED IN BARGERSVILLE, IN. He claimed that specific home was no longer available. We both explained to him clearly that we had an immediate need to move and that we had the cash resources to do so. Well, as you already know, instead, we only had access to a list of PRE-FORCLOSED HOMES, TWO OF WHICH WE COULD NOT EVEN FIND AND THE OTHER SEVEN HOMES WE WENT TO TAKE A LOOK AT HAD FAMILIES STILL LIVING IN THE HOMES. Obviously, if [redacted] had actually informed us of the TRUE consumable product, we would not have paid the $199 for a Pre-foreclosure list.We had clearly explained to him that we were looking for a home that we could move into immediately. The transaction is still in PENDING status and I am requesting a immediate reversal (refund). We are not going to wait 90 days; due to the fact that this was not the product we were informed we were buying. It does us absolutely no good at all, does not serve our purpose for the purchase, at all.How [redacted] was able to pull this SCAM: Had us call his personal cell back, which is ###-###-####. Mislead us on cell, then recorded only transactionDesired Settlement: All we want is our $199 of which we placed on a Wal-Mart Money Card; for the sole purpose of completing this transaction. This issue occurred on Saturday, August 16, 2014; the bank was already closed. So, my husband went out his way to go and purchase this Reloadable Master Card to complete this transaction.American Standard Online has a 90-day money back guarantee if not satisfied. We were mislead and these homes were in Pre-Foreclosure not in Foreclosure with an assumable mortgages.

Review: I saw the add on Craig List of homes for lease help with rent to own. The customer service dept was polite at the start until they recieved my $199 deposit then once I read up on them 15 minutes later I contacted them and asked that they remove the transaction. I was told that my transaction was so current that they could void this transaction. I asked that she run the credit and refund today and she said the void would post on there end and funds will not be touched at my bank. I asked Nancy for her extension and she claimed she did not have one but she was the supervisor...No funds returned and I lost $199...Do not allow this to happen to others pleaseDesired Settlement: Please have my money returned to me .

Review: It is very clear that this is a scam! The list they send you is NOT what they advertise and when I attempted to get a refund I was unable to get ahold of anyone, no numbers on their website work besides one I got from my bank due to the transaction which is clearly a personal phone number, when the woman who answered heard that I was calling for a refund, she hung up and stopped answering the phone! I did not get what I paid 200 dollars and I am now attempting to fight this in courtDesired Settlement: I just want a full refund of my money because I never received what they were advertising and what I paid for

Review: I signed up with this company in June 2014 and invested $200 which they told me I could get refunded if the service was not productive for me. So I signed up and called back a couple of months later and then they tell me I have to stay registered for 90 days before I can request a refund but never made it clear that I have to call back within the year to cancel otherwise I forfeit the money. So I called today and they said "your account is inactive and there's nothing you can do". They are quite deceptive.Desired Settlement: I would like my $200 back.

Review: I signed up for a rent to own program that I was under the impression would be looking for homes for me. After I signed up and was given the user name and password I realized that I had to look for my own home which I was not too keen on doing, so I immediately called back within 15 min of signing up for the program to cancel it. Initially I was told if I wanted to cancel all I had to do was call customer service. Upon realizing that the service would not work for me I contacted customer service who by the way was extremely rude in explaining their cancellation policy. I was now told that I had to conduct several searches of home, write to the homeowners themselves requesting to purchase their Pre-foreclosed home. If they responded we could take it from there, other than that if I want to cancel at least 5 people would have to write back to me stating they are not interested in selling their homes to me in order for American Standard to give me a refund. I don't think that's fair, and we all know how people see junk mail regarding solicitation to purchase their homes and they don't actually respond, if anything they throw solicitation mail in garbage. I wrote 10 homeowners since May and not 1 person has replied back to me, even if they do not responded back the company will still not give me a refund. Rachel the manager told me that it was not her problem if the people did not respond maybe I should try sending more letters. I just want my refund nothing else and I will be ok. I don't care to do business with them anymore, and if there is anything the Revdex.com can do to help please do. Thank youDesired Settlement: Refund please

Review: In November of last year I was looking for a place to live was checking on craigslist when I seen a lot of homes with a 980 number so after been turned down with application after application I went on and tried the serve they stated money back No question asked In February I found a place so where else so I called them they said I had to wait 90 days I did that they also told me I had to send out contact letters I did that as well they now say you must send them a certified mail plus 5 denial letters I told them I could not get anyone to respond to my contact letters so how can I get them to reply to denial in order to get my 199.00 back I am a part time worker who also get SSI money I need this money back can you help meDesired Settlement: 199.00 dollars

Review: Listing for this company are not accurate. I sent out 20-30 letters and at least 3/4 of them came back as deliverable address or that the address was wrong. When I tried to cancel my service, they told me I had to send in 5 denial letters and would not accept return mail. Service is only good for 1 year and you cant cancel until after 90 days. After the 1 year you can not get a refund but in their terms and conditions it does not state that it is only good for 1 year and that you cant cancel after the 1 year mark.http://www.americanstandardonline.com/terms.aspxDesired Settlement: Refund of my $200

Review: This company advertised several homes/ properties for rent on several search sites. When I called to set up an appointment or walk through, I was told that I would need to sign up for a membership with their company in order to view the properties and if I did not find a property with them that I would be refunded. Immediately I request to schedule an apointment to view the property that put me in contact with them and I was directed to view their website which offered an opportunity by or take over the payments on homes that are in foreclosure. When I contacted them back to tell them that there were no rental properties listed, I was sent a few emails with several listing, none of which I found suitable nor did it include the property that I initially inquired about. Now that the 90 day refund term has ended they are requesting that I provide 5 letters of rejection from any of the foreclosure properties per their "Terms & conditions". I contacted this company on no less than 5 times starting from the initial set up because I was deliberately mislead into believing that I could rent and schedule walk property walk throughs but really it was a process of sending out letters to people that are losing their homes, hoping to get a reply and a becoming a vulture after people who might be losing their homes or already are about lose them. Regardless its my belief that this company lied to me in response to my questions ask prior to signing up and they do not disclose the 5 letter rejection in their over the phone sign up and they also do not fully disclose their terms and conditions over the phone sign up. I was lied to and they are deliberately scripted to mislead someone like me who was looking for a legitimate rental. I requested that they review the initial recorded phone conversation and was told they would review it first without me then let me know what they find. I'm not sure if that is the appropriate protocol but it doesn't sound right to me. Other renters must be warned about this companyDesired Settlement: I would like to receive the full refund the of $200 membership fee.

Review: I signed up online with American Standard Online Real Estate Company in August of 2012, the cost of membership was $199 for a listing of home owners who are losing their homes and is looking for someone to take over their mortgage payment to avoid foreclosure. The process is, I go on line and find homes in the areas of interest and also affordable and mail out letters to the home owners asking them to respond if are not they accept my proposal. I have send out over 60 letters without receiving any response. I realized that this program was not working for me. I decided to call American Standard for a refund. After explaining to them that I mailed out that many letters with no response, they suggested I mail five more letters and that the five letters should be denial letters from the home owners. Instead of five letters I mailed out ten letters and still no reply. I called American Standard and explained the situation and their response to me was, "by no means necessary" I have to send them at least five denial letters from the home owners. My response to them was, I cannot make the home owners respond if they don't want to. Every time that I call for my refund that's the same story they gave me. My membership is up in August of 2013 and they know exactly what they are doing. They are frustrating me by denying me my refund and is biding time until my membership expires. There is always a 20-45 minutes hold on the phone before I actually speak to someone then another 20-45 minutes to speak to a manager. There is a refund policy in the online contact. Please check this company out because they are not doing the right thing.Thank you.Desired Settlement: I would like my refund of $177. This amount is what is left after cancellation fees are deducted.Thank you.

Do not be fooled. They misrepresent themselves as a service for rent to own. They charge you 199.$ for completely outdated information and fail to inform you how it all works. All they do is give you an outdated list that is irrelevant and you have to have 5 letters from people refusing you to get a partial refund. It would be a miracle if any homeowners would respond to you contacting them out of the blue when they are probably either new owners or on track with their mortgages. Horrible.
