Review: I have been contacting American Standard since June about getting a refund for my $199.00 I paid to join their company. I was told I had to wait 90 days from when I signed up to cancel, which was around July 3rd. I have been contacting them about our refund and still have not received anything from them no email or anything. Their representatives have given me false info numerous times and now they are telling me I still have not started the cancellation process. I am sending them their hand written letter they are requesting but they are saying I have to have 5 denial letters from the letters I sent to homeowners. They had me address the envelops with their return address so none of them came to me and they will not produce them to me. Also upon doing a little research myself in the area I live in the homes they had listed were not in foreclosure and had already been purchased by new owners. Is there any way to just get my money back and make this nightmare go away. I honestly feel they ripped my family off and provided us with nothing but false information.Desired Settlement: I would like my $199.00 back I know there may be 10% taken out of them for their supposed filling. But I want my money back as soon as possible. I do not know how all these companies get by with ripping people off.

Review: Dear Revdex.com,On June 30th of 2014, I enlisted the services of American Standard to help me with finding a new home. They advertised homes that were in forclusure and could be purchased below market value. I paid the required $199 for their listings...downloaded their product...and proceeded to drive to the locations. Upon doing so, of the 15 that I looked at, only ONE was a genuine address. The rest were fictitious. The very next morning, I contacted them asking for a full refund and was told that I had to wait 90 days for that and must submit the request in writing...of which...I did. I didn't hear back from them and, unfortunately, forgot about it until a few weeks ago. I sent them an email inquiring to my refund and was told that I needed to submit five letters of denial..to which I reminded them that the addresses from their list didn't exist and the letters would be impossible to obtain. Their reply to that was:"This account expired in June. Agreement Date:6/30/2014 Expiration Date: 6/30/2015"This company is a fraud and needs to be stopped. Your assistance here would be greatly appreciated by not only myself...but also those that might fall prey to their unscrupulous and unethical behavior.Thank you for your help,C[redacted]Desired Settlement: I would like my full $199 refunded asap.

Review: Contacted American Standard online and they informed me they would refund our money if no house were found which is $199. We were told to send out 15 letters to home owners without our address on it. We haven't heard anything from anyone. We later do research and find out the whole thing was a scam. So we call there and the people hangs up on us. It's real people that have a real job scamming people. Don't trust themDesired Settlement: I would like a full refund of my $199

Review: Yes they provided me with A database of homes to look at but NONE of the homes were in my area code. I will attach emails to this letter showing that I asked for homes in my Zip code (45415). They told me there was over 50 homes in my zip code to chose from. After logging into their website I found ONE home in my area. After I figured out it was a scam I called Immediately to unsubscribe. After waiting on hold for about one hour I was told I cannot have my refund back until 90 days is up and I ALSO need a letter of recommendation from FIVE homeowners proving I tried to buy their home. This is also an impossible feat to accomplish because none of the homes on their website area actually for sale by the owners. I will also supply multiple web sites claiming this company to be a scam. I found this companies number on craigslist and before I gave them my credit card number I ASKED them if I could receive a refund right away. The woman on the other line told me yes I could receive a refund ANYTIME I wanted. (A lie). I have Emailed AND called this company and they have refused to return my money. Their services have not helped me at all and they lied to get me to spend my money. You will see from the documents attached that this company is fraudulent and should be SHUT DOWN. They claim I have to wait for 90 days to get a refund, well it has been over 90 days. Where is my REFUND?Desired Settlement: Already notified my credit card company of the Scammers. Just trying to further the information to shut this company down.

Review: This is not a good thing to do , they will take your money in 10 second, but wouldn't return it until 90 days wow.Desired Settlement: I just want my money back i'am rising my 5 yr. old grand daughter . Christmas is here I need my money. Thank you ( PLEASE HELP)

Review: The company had told me when I purchased the product that we could get a refund at anytime, called to a refund and was told that had to wait 90 days. Called after 90 days and was told to send request in writing along with 5 letters of denial. The reason for refund is that after submitting aprox 10 request still had no reply after aprox. 2-3 months. I explained why I wanted the refund was because of this however they told me to contact the people and ask them to send me denial letters. That was the problem to begin with I had received no response as explained to them so they want me to harrasse people into giving me a denial letter before they give my money back. This is unprofessional as sorely misrepresentation of the way they portrayed themselves. Fell like I have been taken advantage of and don't want it to happen to someone else.Desired Settlement: I would like my refund of $199.00 like they had said.

Review: Last year I was told by a representative of American standard that if me and my boyfriend couldn't find a house we liked or heard back from any of the home owner's we could get our money back after 30 days. I have tried and tried but I keep getting the run around on the phone and by e-mail.Desired Settlement: I would appreciate it if I could receive my refund however if I'm unable to I would very much like for this lieing company of false hope to be put out of buisness.

Review: I called to this company American Standard, to seek assistance with getting started to purchase a home. I became a member 12-04-14, & was very excited with the opportunity of being able to have help with purchasing a home. I tried looking on the website this company has you to search for homes, & all you are able to do is look at the address that are listed, no history on the homes, no prices, no needed neccessary info about the homes. I waited for the weekend to pass, before contacting the company about the way of having to search for the home. I was advised by my current landlord, that I need to vacate the premises sooner than what I exspected. I called American Standard 12-10-14, to cancel my membership with American Standard & was advised that I cannot cancel my membership until 03/2015, which was not told to me during the conversation with the rep that was signing me up for this scam 12-04-14. I spoke with several reps at this company American Standard & all reps where extremely rude, except the lady that signed me up for the scam. I called ###-###-#### 12-10-14 & spoke with Lacy who placed me on for 10-15 min before getting a Supervisor. Once my hold time was over, Simon agent#2021 who advised me again that I cannot get a refund until 03/2015. I advised Simon that I will not be using this company nor their website, because I am moving with my mother. So, I will not have any use of this company nor their website. I also advised Simon that the process & time peremter was not told to about having to wait 90days for a refund, because if that info was disclosed I would've never signed up, if I am unable to cancel my membership when I would like. I have read several feedbacks, write ups, complaint, etc about this company after signing up, it has really made me upset that a company is being allowed to continue to scam people. Simon took my info down & stated he will have to have the phone calls pulled to see if the rep told me about the time it takes to get the refund, & will call back.Desired Settlement: I just want my $199.00 refunded & this Business(scam) needs to be discontinued from the web & closed shut down for good. No one deserves to be treated nor scammed the way this company is doing the public.

Review: I signed up with American Standard Online almost a year ago and have been trying to get a refund from them since December. When I first signed up for the service they lied and said they work with homeowners and they would negotiate rent to own terms on my behalf. All they did was give me a list of address and a generic letter that I had to print myself and send out to these houses which half over half were vacant and the rest I never got a response from. They didn't provide the homeowners name or contact information just an address. And to get a refund they asked me to provide denial letters which are impossible to receive without being able to contact anyone. So I went online and looked the homeowners up myself and got signed letters. They denied my refund saying these were the homeowners! Well I got the information off the tax accessor website. Being that American Standard will not provide me with the homeowners name I cant get any kind of denial letter from the homeowners saying they dont want to work with this company. They did not provide me with any service.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund of the $199 I paid

Review: While signing up for the service, that was completely different than what I was expecting anyway I asked about the refund/cancellation policy and asked them very clearly if I had to get a refund what I had to do they said all I had to do was call and cancel and I would be refunded in full. When I tried calling to cancel they sent me to the terms and services on their website. They want me to mail a letter asking for a refund with other credentials and a 10% service fee. This is not an easy call and cancel and 100% refund as sold to me by their representative on the phone. I was very clear and specific in asking them to clarify the refund policy. This is how it was described to me and they want me to go a completely different route to get my money. And they are unwilling to let me have the recorded call to prove I asked them to clarify the policy.Desired Settlement: For them to refund my full $200 dollars and cancel my service the way it was sold to me. Not this hidden write a letter, get denied five times, then a 10% deduction for wanting a refund.

Review: they guareenteed me my money back after 90 days and all I had to do was to call them but I was lead to do it online so im hoping to get my money back that was guaranteedDesired Settlement: I would like to get my $199 dollars back that I was guaranteed if I didnt find a place or I got a place already

These people prey on people who are genuinely in need of help finding a home. You will NEVER get any money back. Period.

Review: American Standard has a 90 day refund policy. I started this membership on February 2, 2015. I logged into the website a few times but never actually contacted any homeowners or made any attempts to use the service. I signed in to cancel and sent an email. I received a response stating that I was eligible for a refund. I then called the company and was told that I needed to wait 30 days for the refund. 30 days passed and nothing happened. I then contacted my bank and received a refund which they later took back. They stated my claim was not valid because I did not follow the terms and conditions. I then looked over terms and conditions and found I needed to submit a letter. I mailed them an cancellation request and waited another 30 days. I then called and was told that they received my request but it did not include any denial letters. I've never used the service, therefore I am not able to send them anything. I have been going back and forth with this company since May and have yet to get a refund for a service that I have never used. I am extremely frustrated with the situation and can't fathom that a refund would not be issued for a service that was never used.Desired Settlement: I would like for my money to be refunded and my membership to be cancelled. I should not be charged for a service that was never used.

Review: I was told when I got this service that after 90 days my full 199 that I paid for this service would be refunded to me. once I got the service I was told I had to send out these contact letters. there sucess ratio with getting people in homes was high and I would be within my home in weeks. this was in febraury now we are in the and of june they are giving me a hard time regarding getting my refund. and they toke 10 percent wich wasn't discussed when I got the services nor was I told I was going to need denial letters in order to get refund back. when all contact letters and forward to there address they said after over 80 letters were sent out they didn't get one denial letter or got any update with any letters that I sent outDesired Settlement: I waited patiently after being con into this program. I waited the 90 days and still going through a hastle to get my refund back. I was told my 199 would be refunded after 90 days. its way passed 90 days I want my money back.

Review: I paid 199 to join this so they could help me find a house its now the third month I have done everything they told me too with no luck now they are saying I need denial letters to get a refund but I have none and no way of getting them this is just a scam.Desired Settlement: Just a refund of the 199

Review: I signed up for the AmericanStandard.com rent to own program- I was totally misled. The advertising sales person told me that I pay a one time enrollment fee of 199.00 after this I would gain access to all the homes in my area with pictures. Once I found homes that I would like to see, I could then set up an appointment to see the homes in person. This was not the case at all! There are no pictures listed on the website- they are addresses of homes that are in the process of pre foreclosure, I myself would have to write a letter to the family living in the home= explaining why they should let me take over their payments!!!!! Everytime I try to call the support number to speak with someone and resolve this- they simply hang up on me! This was the biggest scam, this should not be allowed, and my money needs to be refunded.Desired Settlement: I want my 199.00 refunded!

Review: On December 19, 2013 I contacted American Standard from an ad on CraigsList. Initially I provided the customer service representative with my credit card information, but the more questions I asked the more this site seemed like a scam. I revoke that permission immediately. I was told that my card would not get charged, well it was. When I contacted Customer Service I was informed that I could not cancel there service until I have had it for 90 days. I explained to them that I did not want their service from the beginning, then the representative hung up on me. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY,Desired Settlement: I want a refund of $199.00 processed immediately.

Review: This letter represents my request for a refund of my $199 payment via my State Farm credit card on September 20th, 2013. Since I could not abide by the Terms and Conditions on your website [http://www.americanstandardonline.com/], I was unable to login and receive any services. I trust you will find this in order and remain. Very truly yours,[redacted].Desired Settlement: This letter represents my request for a refund of my $199 payment.

This is a total scam. The listings that they have was 4-5 years old in my area. On top of that they told me that if I was not satisfied at any time then I could get my money back, this is not true. I have to wait 90 days before I can even call to get them to hear my complaint for the return of my money. I spoke with them just this morning and even though they mis-represent themselves and the product they were not willing to return my money. Fooled me and I lodged the complaint with them then that this was a scam. Note though they would not give me an additional person to talk with about the situation he just kept saying I had to wait 90 days and that they were not responsible for the information that is on the website.

This compny is a total rip off. After joining and visiting the site, I knew I was up for trouble. When I called them immediately after seeing this was bogus, I asked for a refund. After 3 days and no activity to the site, I called them back and was offered $99.00 out of the $199 to settle. What in the hell happened to my $199 and satisfaction guarantee? So far I've sent off 50 "snail mail" I have heard nothing as of yet. My opinion.....keep your money and pay someone to clean up your credit or save it towards a real purchase. Oh did I mention I'm disabled, on a fixed income, desperate to find a home for my puppy and self? What type of company practices this?
