Review: there is two complaints they wont give me a refund and there advertising is false.when I first agreed to do this I wasn't told that I had to send the letter to the home owners, I wasn't told when I opened my email to get the code that I automatically agreed to do this for 90 days before I could request a refund.they also said they update there web site every day which they haven't sience day 1. the minute I found out that I had to send the letters and stuff as soon as I open there page I called them and told them I wanted a refund they told me I had to wait 90 days so I went on reviews about this company they say this is all a scam and that you never get your money back even after 90 days. ive been trying since oct 30 to get them to refund my 199 dollars ive even sent two emails requesting it they haven't even responded to them I am so dissatisfied I don't know what else to do ive also contacted my credit card co. hopefully you can help please so other people don't get ripped off too. thankyou so muchDesired Settlement: all I want is my money refunded back to my card.

Review: They take your money and do not provide the service as stated. Then they do not refund your money. They are being backed by their faulty terms and conditionsDesired Settlement: I want my 200 dollars. They never provided the service they suggest

Review: My house is listed on their website as a preforeclosure which is not accurate and has never been accurate since I owned the home in 2009. I contacted them to ask them where they received their information and asked them to remove this listing and requesting to know where they got their information from and they told me it was public knowledge and they have the right to list it when is public record and a forcloure I told him again it has never been a forclusre and he called me a liar because if it wasnt a forclosure it would never have been reported to them. then when I requested it to be removed from the website they told me they couldnt do that because it was reported as forclusre on public records and that allows them to list it. THIS IS NOT TRUE! IT HAS NEVER BEEN NOR IS IT NOW A FORCLOSED HOME! I would like for them to please remove my home from them website! it is very degrating and embarassing plus I don;t want stragers pulling in my drive looking in the windows of my home cause they have it listed on their forclosed home for rent site! The manager I spoke with was very irrigant and rude with me! SO my husband called back to try to talk to him and he was immediately ignorant with my husband making threats that we didnt know who we were dealing with! I want my house removed from their listing forever!Desired Settlement: I want my house removed from their website forever! it has never been in forclusre and probably never will be! I would also like the homes they have listed investigated for other people protection! They cant just list people homes on their websites defacing someone name or reputation and putting their homes at risk for break in or treasspassers! What id a dog bites someone there becuase of this website and the homeowner gets sued because of a fals listing from this company!i want my house remoed

Review: Back in Feb 2015 I spoke with a representative about purchasing a home thru the american standard online. As the weeks went by, I found out that the houses they have on their website are false and the homeowners own their homes and the website is a scam. I paid $299 and I have done everything they have asked me to do in order to get my refund back. I called today 11-4-15 and now I have to contact thee homeowners once again to get a denial letter in order to get my refund back. This is a scam and I really need my money back.Desired Settlement: I want my refund of the $299 back

Review: This is a company that is supposed to help buy a foreclosed house. I called the company, they claimed that there is a registration fee of $199.00 and that it is fully refundable whether you buy the house or not. You then get access to their website to look at houses and see "Pictures". After selecting what houses you are interested in, they told me I could start looking at houses. They explained to me that the owners of the houses can't pay their mortgage anymore and that you basically take over ownership of the house. This is what they did not explain to me.1) The fully refundable registration fee is only refundable after 90 days.2) The "Pictures" of the house is simply a google satellite image, there are no pictures of the house themselves or pictures of the inside. 3) You are supposed to print out a letter and pay your own postage to mail to the address of the house you are interested in. There is no guarantee that the owners will even respond. The letter basically states to the owners, if they want a way out of their house payments and don't want their credit ruined to contact this company because someone is willing to take over their payments. 4) They made it sound as though these houses are vacant and ready to move in. That is not the case. People still live in these houses, and I am pretty sure they are not on their website voluntarily. When I called the person I talked to, and tried to cancel my account he was extremely rude when I told him he misrepresented what they actually did. I said after I paid the $199, I could go onto the website start pick the houses I like and start looking at them. This is simply not the case. He then told me I had to call customer service to cancel my account, I did that, at which point they told me I had to wait 90 days. I expressed to them, they should have told me that from the beginning, they said it is in the fine print when you log onto the website after you already have paid the fee.Desired Settlement: I would simply like my $199.00 refunded as soon as possible. Pretty sure this is a scam.

Review: AVOID! Beware! Chase bank blocked the transaction when I paid the 199.00 and being a fool I approved the transaction. They do not tell you a refund process, just said you could get one. When I called and asked for refund they told me I had to wait 90 days until I get a refund. Nobody told me that on the phone. Also the lady mentioned that when you first log onto their website it stated it there. You have to pay the 199.00 first BEFORE you even get to log in! Was told that a supervisor would call me back but never did.Desired Settlement: I want my 199.00 back! This is bad. My wife and I are long for a place to live for us and our kids and is bullcrap to scam someone like this when their really in need of a home and every bit of money they earn.

Review: My name is [redacted] and I paid american standards for a home I paid 200.00 they sent me a list of homes they told me when there is houses we find copy the letters to the home owner's no response called them they kept telling me oh you should here something in a couple of day's every time I call them they say the same thing I called and wanted my money back they told me I can't for 90 day's we got letter's back saying no such address they knew we have to move out where we are,I need my money back so I can find something else oh and I asked them if they were legit and not rip off's cause I got ripped off already they told me they work with the federal goverment so they are legit. Thank you [redacted]Desired Settlement: I want my 200.00 back so I can put the money toward a rental house.

Review: The website is a fraud. All homes are either abandoned, up for sale by a real estate agent or the owner has no idea their house is on this website. The site promises you can rent homes for cheap but no one knows of this business.Desired Settlement: My down payment of $199

American standard operates out of Santa Barbara CA and Goleta Ca continues its fraudulent practices under another name. Same scam however.

Review: This was advertising that they could find us a house within a month if we paid $200.00 We did and 3 in a half months later we have no house. And the4y told me if we didnt find us a huse wed get money back. But they said we will have you a house I said ok. ANd no house I called to get back my money. And They said lool on websight whre it says what to do. I read I have to have 5 denials I havnt had any. noones even contacted me. And they said I couldnt have my money back. Im not the only one that has been through this. There are several people. I think its a scam. and it needs to stop.Desired Settlement: 200.00-400.00 for interest im having to pay on my credit card

Review: This company is clearly a scam. They pull you in with ads on Craigslist. When you call, they tell you that you can look for properties, figure out what you want to pay for morgage or rent, and move right in. They don't tell you that you have to try to find out if these properties are really in foreclosure and contact the homeowners yourself. Most people don't seem to know that their home are even on the website. We were told that we'd be able to find a home very quickly as we had to move in two weeks. And we were also told that we could get a refund if we did not find a home through them. However, to get a refund, you have to send 5 refusal letters from the homeowners. Of course, none of this was mentioned before you can sign onto the website, and once you do, they've got you. Please avoid this company, as it seems almost impossible to get your money back.Desired Settlement: We would like our $199 fee refunded.

Review: I contacted American Standard online in regards to buy a home, as I talked to the customer service representative he explained to me that he had to call me back on a secured recorded line for security reasons. When he called me back he explained to me the terms and conditions over the phone and that I had to pay 199.00 to access the website, he also explained to me how the programed worked, as he explained everything to me and confirmed that at ANY time we could get a full refund for ANY reason, and ensured me that it was on a recorded line for secure me and him, that everything he was telling me was true. I have been on the web site and found many things he said not to be true, one of the most important is that the home owners have no idea that they are selling there information and most of the homes are though a realtor company so we have no rights to them.I have now contacted the company back and explained to them the problems I have had just listing one major to you and they told me I have eto jump though all of these hoops and get so many denial letters from the home owners in order to get my refund back.Desired Settlement: I want a full refund as I was promised for any reason, as I was not able to see the terms and conditions until AFTER I PAID although I was on a recorded line that means nothing on their end and does me no good as they promised it would.

Review: This is my second attempt to receive help with the Revdex.com over this issue. No one has gotten back with me. How do I file a complaint against the Revdex.com because they are not helping. I have a disability and feel that I am being taken advantage of. Will someone please help me get a refund. I do not live on my own and have to rely on others for help. My son has provided a home for me and I have to work with him on this. It would be his credit that would get us a loan to purchase a home. He wants to wait another year and rent in the mean time. I asked right away for a refund through American Standard Online. No one will answer my emails or phone calls when I leave messages. Please help me as the money is needed to help in other areas such as assistive devices for my disability. Thank you, MelanieDesired Settlement: Refund my money please.

Review: I was lied to about what I was going to be offered. then when I asked for a refund which was guaranteed to me if I was satisfied with the service. they have yet to give me back my money.Desired Settlement: refund of the 200 for serveces that dont work

Review: They are advertising homes that are in pre forclosure or foreclosure status and saying all you have to do is take over the payments for the home owner. They are advertising homes on Craiglist that aren't even listed on their own website americanstandardonline.com. They charge you a 199.00 fee for the listings of the so called forclosure or pre forclosure house that are NOT in that status. Then when you ask for your money back they say you have to wait 90 days for to cancel the account but they don't tell you any of this upfront. They are very sneaky. I know they are listing houses not in the pre foreclosure or foreclosure stats. When I call for a refund they say after the 90 days and hang up in your face. By them putting houses on Craiglist that aren't even on their own site that is false advertising right there. There is a class action all suit against them now with the following firm www.marlinandsaltzman.com. American Standards website is americanstandardonline.com. I ask if the were brokers, realtors or licensed they laughed and hung up in my face.Desired Settlement: I EXPECT them to give me my 199.00 dollars back NOW not after this 90 days waiting period having me write letters to people who's houses are NOT in pre / foreclosure status.

Review: when viewing the site for American standard, it states that all you have to do is pay 199.99 and you will have access to their list of homes for sale by owners. Which is in actuality true but it does not tell you that you than have to type up letters to reach out to the home owner to establish contact and to set up appointment times with them. Only after you pay the 199.99 do you find this out and than when you try to cancel because you realize that you do not have that kind of time frame and you try to cancel, they state that you have to be a paid member for three months before you can do that. I do not recall reading anything about that. I have reached out to them by phone and by email and every time the manager Doug states that you have to wait the 90 days. This needs to be disclosed up front before you pay your money and are not able to get a refund until 90 days. Why are they hanging on to my money? only to collect the interest off the 199.00? Oh and than they charged my Credit Card twice for the same thing.Desired Settlement: I would like my 199.00 fully refunded and this company put on report for misleading advertising.

Review: When signing up for their services you are advised your $199.00 is refundable but they do not advise you that you have to wait 90 days. They also do not tell you the homes they have listed are of homes where the home owners are not aware that the company has their home listed. This company wants me to send letters to these people asking them to contact the agency to see if they will allow me to rent or buy there home before it goes into foreclosure. This is not what I was advised before I signed up. I was advised that I can go on to the site to get a list of homes that had the rent to own option. I was advised that I would be able to view a list of homes that included pictures of the insides of the homes as well and that was not true. When I called 15 mins after signing up I was told they would cancel my membership. Yet when I called today less than 24 hours later I was advised that I have to wait 90 days. When I asked to speak to a supervisor the rep got very nasty & rude then hung up on me. I don't know if they blocked my number because when I called back it rang than disconnected several times.Desired Settlement: I just want my money back in full $199.00

I found a few houses on Craig's List and called to inquire about them. The first woman I spoke with asked me some questions about if I wanted to rent or rent to own. I answered I wanted to rent. She said that it'd have to make double to triple what the rent was going to be in order to be able to move forward. I told her I make double, then I was hung up on. Thinking the line disconnected I called back and spoke with another rep. He asked me and told me the same things. This time he let me know there were two houses in my area and how much they were, then proceeded to try and get my credit card information to pay the 199$ fee. I told him id call back bc I needed to research "American Standard". It sounded sketchy from the beginning.

Review: American Standard has set up an way that their refund policy can't possibly be enforced. They say that in order to receive a refund the client (me) must send in a certified letter requesting a refund and at least 5 denial letters from homeowners denying the client from taking over the owner's mortgage payment. The problem and I believe unfair practice is that if no home owner responds back to any request that the client sends to the homeowner then one can never obtain those 5 denial letters that are necessary for a refund. And this is not explained to the client when they sign up.Desired Settlement: Full refund minus the 10 percent processing fee that is stated in the refund policy.
