Zillow receives sales information from public records gathered by a third-party data collector from each county and from agent-provided submissionsOn occasion, this information can get misreported to us which looks to be the case hereAfter verifying with county records, we have removed the erroneous sale transaction and updated the last sales data in our database: [redacted] With regards to the Zestimate, this is an estimate that is automatically calculated by a computer-generated algorithm using the data available for each homeThe algorithm uses public and user-submitted data, taking into account items such as home facts, price history and tax historyAs a result, we cannot manually change or remove an individual Zestimate.Although Zillow strives to provide accurate home valuations, the Zestimate value is meant only to serve as a starting point in determining a home's valueThe Zestimate is not intended to replace a comparative market analysis or an appraisal, as they can take into account market intricacies that the Zestimate cannotZillow makes this clear on each property page and our website (http://www.zillow.com/zestimate/).People ultimately have more fundamental reasons that drive what they choose to buy or not buyOur data shows that half of all sales are generally above the Zestimate Zillow encourages buyers, sellers, and homeowners to supplement our information by doing other research such as getting a comparative market analysis (CMA) from a real estate agent; getting an appraisal from a professional appraiser; visiting the house (when possible)We understand that some homes may be unique in ways that are not well captured by existing data and our current Zestimate modelTo provide more information on a home, we encourage homeowners to include their estimated value by providing an owner's estimate in the Zestimate Details section of the property pageThis provides the opportunity to explain what they feel the home is worth given its unique features. While we monitor customer feedback for system wide issues with the algorithm, we cannot change or remove individual Zestimates in response to customer feedbackReports of possible issues with Zestimates are recorded to help with efforts to improve the Zestimate algorithm as a whole in the futureFor more information on the Zestimate, we encourage all of our users to visit this link: http://www.zillow.com/zestimate/

I signed a month contract, which ended in July, then apparently was month to month (which nobody ever told me, but was in the fine print apparently)Upon being billed on the 7th month, I called numerous times and left messages for customer service at the number found online (206-470-7000) and on my credit card statement, and nobody would return my callsI finally got in touch with someone by e-mail today and they said they will not issue a refund, even though I tried to call to cancel and I did not use this serviceI also told this same person months ago that I would be ending the contract in JulyShe says she tried to call and I did not return her call, which is untrueI spoke with a male when I was contacted last month, who confirmed my contract ended in July

I have been trying to reach a customer service representative by phone and no one will call me back to resolve problems I have e-mailed several times requesting help Zillow's response is a generic one referring me to frequent questions/answers that do not resolve my problem

Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: I think Zillow’s response is a blatant lie It says the more information Zillow has about the property, the more accurate the ZestimateI provided Zillow with more information about the value of my property and they did NOT update the ZestimateI told Zillow my house was appraised for $187,in June 2017, and I offered to provide a copy of the appraisal, but Zillow didn’t express any interest in having a copy of it and they didn’t update the Zestimate Sincerely, [redacted]

To Whom It May Concern: I have heard from Tami, who is ***'s sales rep, and she has notified me that [redacted] has a past due balance of $Once she pays the $past due balance, we will cancel her $151.00/month subscriptionThe $30.00/month subscription was just added last month, so she will have to continue paying the $30.00/ month until the end of her six month contract Additionally, I have checked ***'s inbox and she is receiving several leads, some of which show replies from her [redacted] has already received five leads in the month of October, and received seven leads in the month of SeptemberThese leads can be accessed by [redacted] if she goes to her inbox on her Zillow profile If [redacted] has further questions, she can contact Tami at [redacted] [redacted]

On September 12th, I canceled my Premier Agent membershipOn September 13th and September 14th (end of contract date) I sent follow up emails regarding this matter to be sure they were aware I would NOT be charged for OctoberOn October 5th I was charged $1,Zillow is now saying they were not aware of my cancellationLuckily for me, I have all of it in writing via emails to multiple different people with Zillow

To Whom It May Concern: [redacted] is not being able to advertise her listings on Zillow is not tied to her paying to advertise with usShe has been blocked for posting her listings due to a violation of our spam listing policy, which is stated below http://www.zillow.com/corp/Quality.htm (section 1.a), you are only permitted to claim listings that are contractually yours as the exclusive listing agent and active on the marketWe understand that in some states agents are allowed to advertise open listings, however, on Zillow we do not provide the option to do this Due to this violation, [redacted] has been blocked from advertising her listings on Zillow and our affiliate websites

Zillow recently implemented a new verification process for manually posted listings on our site to help improve listing qualityOnce a listing is submitted, it can take some time for our Listing Verification Team to review and approve the listing so long as it meets our Listing Quality Policy guidelines (https://www.zillow.com/corp/Quality.htm)There have been some delays with this new system site wide and have been working to get listings reviewed and posted as quickly as possibleWe were able to successfully approve the For Sale By Owner listing: https://www.zillow.com/homedetails/ [redacted] _zpid/If this individual needs assistance in the future, we encourage them to contact our Consumer Care Team via our Help Center at www.zillow.com/help for faster assistance

Complaint: [redacted] We are rejecting this response because Zillow has 1) erred in researching and reporting public records available for this property, thus inputting invalid data into its algorithm and reporting an obviously flawed estimate of fair market value; and 2) refused to report correct data available from the public record, and 3) refused to provide an accurate estimate of fair market value based on a new computation of its algorithm with the correct data In this instance, we perceive Zillow's work as not simply flawed but the result of gross negligence, which we explain below The result is an obviously estimate of the FMV of our property The mild cautionary warning offered by Zillow is of little use to us in this case, because it will cause a side show that must be explained to every potential buyer who relies on this information in seeking a huge windfall in acquiring this propertyOur home has never sold for the low amount Zillow estimatesWhile we appreciate Zillow correcting some aspects of the sales information, other sales information reported and input into the Zillow "magic number machine" is still incorrect in the "Home Facts by Data Source" category on the webpage for our homeOur home was built in There is no mention of this, nor any price data from the original sales price paid by the first owners We searched county records, and they show the previous owner purchased the home in for $725, We are the second owners of this homeThe Zillow report states falsely that the home sold in for $200, Again, the house was built in 2006, so Zillow and its algorithm are completely off base in using $200,as a previous value of this home This information apparently pertains to the bare lot, and would obviously skew results of any algorithm that attributed such sales data to the home valueZillow needs to get the correct data--there are only two prior sales of this home, one in 2006, and one in 2010--and rerun the calculation to report an accurate FMV In instances like this, when Zillow is just way off the mark, it needs to spend the money to retain local expertise to quickly review the public data and correct its mistakesWe'd appreciate it if it would do that in this case before it holds itself out as having any expertise or accuracy in reporting real estate values relating to our home Thank you for your prompt attention to this matter Sincerely, [redacted]

I attempted to list my house For Sale By Owner (FSBO) on Zillow.comIt was listed in a state of what they call "make me move"My home was starting to generate a lot of activityAfter I requested to list it FSBO, it immediately when to an "off the market" status and is no longer searchable by potential buyersThe Zillow message stated that it would take "up to" hours to review my listing and that I may receive a phone call to verify To date I have received no emails, phone calls or communication on my profile from Zillow and my home is getting passed by potential buyersIt has been over days since I attempted to list FSBOSince that time I inquired several times on their siteToday, I noticed that the first two requests asking for help were closed and marked as solved by "Laura"However, Laura never contacted me nor resolved anythingI also left a voice mail on Zillow's consumer serviceYou cannot get to a live representative, it is purely a voicemail boxI must sell m

This website has listed our home has been foreclosed and auctioning in daysThis is incorrect as mortgage is paid current taxes are paidWe have family and friends calling concern we are losing our home and in financial distressThe embarrassment and humiliation is bad enough, but the people coming around snooping through my livestock at my property is not okay with meWe have tried to peacefully contact this company with zero responseAt this point we are prepared to take legal action to the fullest of our ability to resolve this

In reviewing our records, we have extensively communicated with this individual regarding the Zestimate for his home and there is no new information to provide at this timeWe do not manually remove or edit individual Zestimates or entire property pages from our databaseTo recap, the Zestimate is an estimate calculated by a proprietary computer-generated algorithm using the data available for each homeThe algorithm uses public and user-submitted data, taking into account items such as home facts, price history, and tax history.Although Zillow strives to provide accurate home valuations, the Zestimate value is meant only to serve as a starting point in determining a home's valueThe Zestimate is not an appraisal - it is an estimateZillow makes this clear on each property page (screenshot attached) and our website (http://www.zillow.com/zestimate/) To get a federally guaranteed loan, a law called FIRREA (the Federal Institutions Reform, Recovery and Enforcement Act) requires an appraisal from a professional appraiserWithout limitation, lending professionals and institutions are prohibited from using our services in making any loan-related decisionsAgain, the Zestimate is our estimate - not an appraisalYou can use it in judging market trends and in calculating all sorts of things for your personal purposesPeople ultimately have more fundamental reasons that drive what they choose to buy or not buyOur data shows that half of all sales are generally above the Zestimate Zillow encourages buyers, sellers, and homeowners to supplement Zillow's information by doing other research such as getting a comparative market analysis (CMA) from a real estate agent; getting an appraisal from a professional appraiser; visiting the house (when possible) To provide more information on a home, we encourage homeowners to make sure the home facts are up-to-date and to include an Owner's Estimate in the Zestimate Details section of the property pageThis provides the opportunity to explain what they feel the home is worth given its unique features. While we monitor customer feedback for system-wide issues with the algorithm, we cannot change or remove individual Zestimates in response to customer feedbackThis individual's feedback has already been shared with our team and it will be used to help improve the Zestimate algorithm as a whole in the future. For more information on the Zestimate, we encourage all of our users to visit this link: http://www.zillow.com/zestimate/

As requested, we have canceled the active rental listing for this property on our siteIf this individual needs assistance in the future, the Zillow Consumer Care Team can be reached through our Help Center at http://www.zillow.com/help

Through email subscription, they send what looks like homes for sale, but the emails are bait and click...once you click on the ad, you read the description of the "home for sale" and it is either, not a home for sale, a link to ALL homes for sale in that area, or a home for rentI've reported more than a dozen bogus emails to them, but I keep receiving themI'm trying to figure out how to unsubscribe, but I keep getting emailsI used Zillow to list a home for sale many years ago and had no problems now, but it seems they have either lost touch with the people who are posting this listings or they need better vetting practices

We listed a home on ZillowHad an offer and edited the listing as pendingThe offer fell through and the option to edit the listing as for sale again is goneHave submitted multiple requests via the online system and phone to no avail This site is worthless if you can’t edit your listing to post it for saleWe logged in on a computer and were then told we couldn’t edit the listing because we are using a realtorWe are not and have not used a realtor, it’s listed for sale by owner

Zillow's on county records for [redacted] **, 06820, does not match what is on the Darien Assessment siteThey have us a multifamily at sq ftWe have converted to a single family and expanded the attic as stated in the town records, sq ft, single family They do not respond to customer service so I don't know how to reach them and have them fix their mistake

I spent several hours on the Zillow website preparing my home to be listed as for sale by owner When I submitted all the information I received a notice that they would contact me within to post my listing I waited and was never contact within the hour timeframe I checked back on the website multiple times and my house is still not listed I have submitted requests for help After my second request for assistance I saw that I had missed a call from them they left a message When I attempted to contact the telephone number they provided as a call back number, it was discovered that this number was incorrect and I think it was a school in inner city Chicago I continued to submit online requests for assistance and they have yet to respond

Thank you for contacting usWe are unable to locate a profile associated with the name and email address providedIf you can provide us with a link to the actual profile on Zillow, we'd be happy to investigate this further and close the profile
