Zillow arbitrarily dropped the estimated value (zestimate) of my home by over 30% in on day as I listed my home for sale by owner The advertised zestimate is not almost $300K below the market value When I try to call to have the issue addressed I'm directed directly to a real estate agent I have sent several emails to customer service informing them of the issue and asking them what caused the drop and I am receiving no help at all and the zestimate is still incorrect It appears that this is a scam as Zillow makes its money by selling "leads" to real estate agents I actually had one of the agents which I was directed to do a CMA which confirmed my homes value near $600k, I sent this along with other collaborating facts to Zillow and they refuse to address the issue This is directly impacting my effort to sell my home and I believe that this misrepresentation is a form of liable Zillow customer service is completely ignoring the issue and not making any effort

Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: (1) I have asked Zillow to update several inaccuracies in its listing of my property which might impact the way it values the property, which it refused to do by informing me my only recourse was to contact its legal department with complaints (specifically, Zillow does not list the most recent sale date or price, when we bought the property, and instead inaccurately lists several price changes and sales activity on the other unit in my 2-unit condo); (2) the "new algorithm" resulted in a 30% decrease in estimated value over a 1-day period, inconsistent with the other nearby homes' Zestimates AND with Zillow's own market assessmentSpecifically, it reduced the value of our home from approximately $761,to $535,despite the fact that the property was purchased for $585,one year ago, and Zillow reports that our specific neighborhood has increased 12.6% over the past year, and that our home should be valued 5% above the median home price in the neighborhood, which it has listed at $574,Zillow did repeatedly inform me that it has a new algorithm which may result in changes to its ZestimateMy concern is that the new valuation it has provided is inconsistent with all of the other information that Zillow itself provides about the neighborhood and property, and that Zillow has refused to correct inaccuracies in the property information upon my requestThe fact of the matter is that realtors and home shopper utilize Zillow as a respected source of reliable information about home values, and its severe and absurdly unjustified de-valuation of our home may materially harm us if we decide to sell our propertyFinally, I am grossly dissatisfied with the Customer Service response attached hereAs you can see, when I asked for a specific explanation for the inconsistencies in Zillow's own valuations, and asked how to update the inaccuracies on the property listing that I am unable to edit as the owner, I was immediately and only referred to the legal department, and no attempt whatsoever was made to respond to my questions or resolve my concerns Sincerely, [redacted]

Zillow is a complete LIE They are misrepresenting zestimate home values They are very careful to say they are an estimate but then advertise that your home value is tracked due to several factors Although they are claiming they can change due to the market or whatever else they throw in there, they are completely lying on their website I have two emails sent to me saying my home value was " zestimated" at $190,from one month agNo my hoem value dropped $40,dollars?! This is so inaccurate and advertising They have a scale that I will attach that shows the values over the years and they have mysteriously removed all the old values which I still have in my email saying it was worth Even if the values change how can they legally go back to a month ago and lie and change that value The value they emailed me a month ago said $190,and now it is in the $140,complete liars and complete scam artist Even if it is an estimate, they are falsifying the p

My Zillow account has me locked out saying the following: This listing can only be edited by the person who posted it For Sale on Zillow Homeowner: Since your home is listed by an agent, you will not be able to make changes to itPlease ask your listing agent to make any desired changes We have never had our house listed with an agent and after contacting Zillow it seems our house is under the control of an agent

I have been monitoring a house for some time; It appears that the house just closed for $204,and that figure held on Zillow for one day ON the next day the realtor reported the sale at $255, Which is the correct number? How can this product be used with this kind of uncertainty?
