I preface this review with the fact I have used Emipre several times covering several decadesThe most recent transaction was for wood floors and carpeting in The installation for the wood floors installers, that first did not want to install the new baseboards properlyA couple of years latter we noticed the wood floors were beginning to loose their stainThis got much worse this year, so we contacted Empire for repairIt took several calls, all that we were put on hold to obtain the first appointmentThe appointment date came and went with no call to tell us Empire was not comingThe second and third appointment dates came and went with same behaviorAt the time of this writing we are now waiting for our fourth appointment for 11-19-With this most recent appointment we were told we could not speak with a repair manager because they are all too busyI have a customer service background and if my behavior was like thisI would not expect to be employed very longI can only surmise that Empire Today's behavior is by design to discourage customers from attempting to have their issues repairedI have posted my opinion to all my several hundred Facebook friends, to not engage Empire for their home imrovement needsFred [redacted]

We had a pretty crummy experience with empire Sales rep was nice though obviously trying to push particular products and higher prices Carpet installers did an okay job (though there are some nails we've discovered in bare feet and had to hammer down ourselves Tile installers were the worst Left the bathroom a mess Dumped dust, wood, and paint chips in the bathtub Ruined the baseboards (including section now completely missing!) After over a month of trying to get someone to come fix it (install was 10/17) we agree on Monday 11/ On that day, a team showed up "just to look." We scheduled again for the next Monday and receive a call just trying to get more information Turns out they can't come Monday How's Thursday? Okay next Monday No estimate on time They are very busy I guess there is no time to come fix work that was supposed to be done already when there are new customers whose money isn't already in their pockets Finally I am told that the black trim they destroyed will have to be replaced with white trim Not a great solution for the pink and black tiled bathroom When I push back I am told I can paint it myself Empire representative tells me "To the best of my knowledge, we aren't painters" - guess what pal, neither am I - also I have the added bonus of not being the one who messed up the baseboards in the first place and the one who already paid for the work Why should I have to fix it? When I push back about again I am told that I can buy the materials myself, hire someone to paint it, and then Empire will come install it and they will reimburse me for my time, the materials, and the cost of painting I ask for an email saying that so that I have it in writing That was yesterday No email yet I guess I will call again Combined calls from me and my wife to Empire are now in the double digits Work was done 10/ It is now 11/ Weeks Problems still ongoing Update - new rep - same problems - fewer solutions Now it's, find a contractor to do the work and we'll reimburse you Most recent appointment cancelled because they can't come up with black trim on their own - apparently I have to do it Also, no...they won't reimburse me for my time Apparently the guy that offered that is no longer with the company and they wont stand by what he told me How long will this saga last?!

Had laminate flooring & carpet installed 01/Salesperson was really knowledgeable and comfortable to work withInstallation crew were great and did an excellent jobWe are very pleased with the whole process and would call them again

My husband and I ha e had at least o call no shows, the last time I called before and after the 11-time, before I was told they sill be coming, that the sales person or manager will call when in route After the time had passed, we waited until 3:30, I called and was told we did not have anyone scheduled to show up, and for the 5th time was offered a reschedule, we said noIt is almost as if they do not want to make money

Excellent CompanyGreat Salesperson, arrived on time, came out on a SaturdayWe found our carpet within minutesPut in our order, met the dellivery date as scheduled, called in advance to let us know when they would be arriving and did so right on timethe installers were excellent, very courteious, clean, and did everything expected of themWant to have them back when I do my next carpet install in my office

We had carpet and vinyl installed in January The carpet was perfect and the installers were fantasticThe vinyl part was a nightmareWe were told they would tear up the existing floorThe 1st crew came out and said there was moisture under the old flooring and left abruptlySo my husband and I tore up the flooring ourselvesA separate crew came the second timeThey did a rush job and the floor bubbled upWe called customer service SEVERAL times before we were told an inspection would be doneWe even called our salesman since customer service was giving us a big runaroundHe was appalled by the bubblingEmpire sent the same crew that installed the vinyl to do the "inspection" of their workUnheard ofSo getting no where with customer service, we ripped up the vinyl ourselvesThe same crew came back again and installed againThe time lapse of all this prevented us from moving in (over a month) and jacked up our heating bill as we were advised the temperatures had to be higher for the the vinyl to set rightThis is January-February so heating is costlyWe got no compensation whatsoever for all our trouble

I am very satisfied with the bedroom and stairway carpeting that I ordered from EmpireInstallation was done by extremely hard-working men who were courteous and skilled Not sure about the 60% off ad - off of what? I think the price was comparable to what other companies would charge for the amount of carpeting required All in all, I would use Empire again for further flooring or carpeting needs

I had a very positive experience with Empire Today Setting the appointment was online, and very easy, with ample time slots available The sales rep was very friendly and helpful The installers did a great, professional job in a short amount of time I was very happy with the quality, look, and feel of the product

We ordered carpet for three rooms, hallway and stairsWe had an appointment scheduledThe day of the installation came but the installer did notAfter jumping through hoops trying to get answers from Empire, we were told our appointment had been changed to the next week without letting us knowInstallation day came againThe installer came as well but did not bring enough material to complete the jobWe received a call a couple days later wanting to know why we did not pay in full when the installer came not caring that the job was not completeTwo weeks later the installer came again and finished the jobWe were satisfied with the finished results until I vacuumed the carpetThe carpet unraveled in two different roomsCalls back to Empire over the last month have been a nightmareAlways someone saying someone will call you backNo CallsWe were told that we had someone coming today, finally, to repair the carpetAgain, no one shows upWhen we again finally get someone on the phone he tells us that they can't get in contact with the one who was scheduled to come today and not only that but he needs an interpreterI am not an interpreterThat is not in my contractSo again, sitting here by the phone, waiting If anyone reads this, DO NOT EVER USE THIS COMPANYI am spreading the word to everyone I can

I had engineered wood installed 3/7/The product was beautifulThe installers were careful of our home, our health (dust kept outside - the saw cutting the trim pieces), and our satisfaction (having us look at the room at various times during the day)This experience was excellent

We had carpet installed By Empire TodayWe had a very pleasant and positive experience from themThe salesman was very knowledgeable and even came back when we couldn't decide affirmatively on the colorWe decided to have carpet put in on Friday with installation on Monday before ChristmasThe crew (for men) that installed the carpet were very fast and came promptly at the time they said on Monday a.mand they were done long before noonThey really couldn't do enough to help us in moving the furniture etcthe seam that had to be taken in the threshold and along one side near the outer windows was unnoticeableI wish all service people wear this in tune to customer serviceThis was an outstanding experience!

Empire today is the worst company to do business with , save your time and money and run as fast as you can they ***

We had Empire Today install ceramic tile in four rooms and carpet in two roomsWe are very pleased with the process from beginning to endIt was easy to make an appointmentThe sales rep who came was on timeHe explained the differences in the various products, as well as answering any questions we hadHe had a wide variety of product samples to choose fromThe installation teams were wonderful and very professionalThey came to the house on timeThe installation of both the tile and the carpeting was outstandingWe are very pleased with the entire job, and will not hesitate using them again

We recently purchased installed carpeting for two rooms in our home from Empire Today, which is now inside the [redacted] store at [redacted] in Clearwater, FL We were extremely pleased with the whole process We had gotten several quotes, and Empire Today was by far the most reasonable and inclusive The salespersons were professional and friendly and the installers were outstanding as well

Last February I set an appointment with Empire Carpets for an in-home estimate The representative arrived right on time but due to a family emergency, I had to cancel The sales person, Chad, gave me his business card and told me to call him directly, in order to re-schedule the appointment After a few attempts at contacting him, he finally returned my call and we scheduled another appointment HE NEVER SHOWED I contacted Customer Service and filed a formal complaint The Customer Service agent read it back to me and assured me someone would be getting back to me NO ONE DID Finally, weeks ago, Dave [redacted] contacted me and after apologizing profusely, he scheduled another appointment, assuring me he would come, personally, and take care of my flooring needs That appointment was supposed to be TODAY, but he DID NOT SHOW! I called and ended up having to leave a message for Ken ***, General Manager WHO KNOWS IF HE'LL EVER RETURN MY CALL? WHAT KIND OF BUSINESS ARE YOU RUNNING? Fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me I'll take my business elsewhere

I called Empire Today for the purpose of getting carpet installed on my stairs and upstairs hallway in early November; a total of approximately 200sqft The independent contractor gave me an estimate of $for the work and we scheduled for the installers to come on 11/25/ I coordinated with my boss to be at home that day so I could be there for the installation I was told that I would receive a phone call in the morning to let me know what time to expect the installationOn 11/25/15, the morning came and went and I received no call Around 1:00-1:30PM I called Empire Today to find out what was going on I was told by customer service that they had 'overbooked' and had to reschedule for Monday I requested a cancellation and spoke with the proper department who offered me $off and guaranteed me that the installers would be able to come on a day of my choosing, which ended up being December 5, The representative apologized and told me to expect the installers *in the morning [redacted] on December 5thNeedless to say, it is December 5th as I write this I heard nothing AGAIN all morning and called twice to find out when the installers were set to arrive They were unavailable to contact and when I finally went back to the cancellation department, I was told to just wait until 4PM for the installers and they could offer me another $off; putting my total at $ I explained that I was essentially stood up twice in a row and at this point, paying more than $for the installation was unacceptable Instead of dropping the price the additional $50, we proceeded with cancelling my installationI can only assume that my order, being less than $1,000, was simply not worth their time I have wasted a month waiting for this company to show up to install the carpet - had I cancelled two weeks ago, I could have had a more reliable company come and get the work done in the meantime; something I was hoping to get done as soon as possible as I have a child due to arrive in a monthA co-worker of mine had a similar experience with Empire Today, but he was spending more money than I (giving him nearly 45% off his install), so again, the company appears to have worked with him to ensure he walked away a happy customer I am disappointed with my experience, I will not recommend them to anyone in the future, and I feel they did not do everything they could do to give good customer service

I just had Empire install 500+ sq feet of laminate in my town house I scheduled an appointment on 10-14-for 10-15- The scheduling process was done on line and took only minutes; I received a confirming email in minutes and a reminder phone call, as well as an automated call advising the sales rep would arrive in minutes; which he did Very polite, knowledgeable, friendly, and NO PRESSURE consult Jim returned and we signed the contract 10-10-15, and scheduled for install on 10-12- The installers, Juan and Steven, arrived on time, and were also polite, and knowledgeable Juan took his time to walk the job with me and we discuss placement of the flooring, with a portion of the job being a difficult staircase that has landings, left turns and stairs They finished the first floor on the first day, and spent a long hour minute day the next making sure that each and every cut for those stairs was nothing less than perfect! They left the garage clean and cleaned the floors with Bona They are very proud of their work and it certainly shows I am very very satisfied and would recommend Empire to anyone Easy process from start to finish I would have nominated them for the Revdex.com Torch Award, however, the deadline for entries was September 30,
