This company is a real scam First they call you on the phone claiming to assist you with student loan forgiveness They want to charge you $processing fee and $per month to handle the payment Once they have all your information, they call you back and want to charge you more money by telling you the Deptof Education has insisted on raising your payment They are very rude to deal with When ask to ensure they cancelled all your paperwork and send you an email regarding this matter, they say they cannot send you an email Please beware of this company I believe they are phony and should not be dealt with

We would be glad to help ***Please call in to our processing number [redacted]

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the? response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.? For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below Once again, 1File.org failed to address the central issue - deceptive marketing, advertising, and sign up practicesI agree that lending institutions such as Great Lakes are far from stellar regarding their business practices as evidenced by the current investigations; however, the 1File.com response mentioned to? "search GREAT LAKES on the internet and find the same complaints." My response is that one could also search the Internet (to include the Revdex.com website) and find complaints and dissatisfied customers about 1File.orgOne of the biggest contentions is that the individuals who spoke with me over the phone assured me that the loan was being taken over from Great Lakes and that the $monthly payments for years would go toward the loan which turns out to be falseAdditionally, 1File.org had all of my personal, banking, and student loan record information when they contacted me and giving the impression of being with the Department of Education to include DOE based e-mails (see previous responses)I am still not satisfied with their responses and would like a refund of? $ Regards, [redacted]

In order to address each and every one of your concerns I will in the order of your complaintI did not authorize the company 1file.org to debit my account for on Feb 8th but they did on their ownRESPONSE: We have a copy of a signed Credit Card Authorization and Services Agreement stating otherwise.? The agreement was that I would contact 1file.org and let them know what my finances were if the payment could be done on the 8th.? Response: That is what your signed agreement states, to which you completed a Verification and Compliance call explaining our relationship at the time of the agreementThe same agreement you deny knowing about above and then acknowledge in the next item of your complaintI did not call them because I applied for the service they do myself for free.? Response: At the time we contacted the client, she had not enrolled in the federal program we made her aware of, A program she had been? eligible? for years and? had? not yet applied until we explained to ? her in a consultationOur agreement clearly states we would need to be contacted in order to cancel a client.4.? In the midst of trying to call them and contact the proper persons was virtually impossibleI kept getting voice-mail and or no answerResponse: Above you stated you did not call usWe have numerous methods of contact sent to all clients upon enrollment and throughout the process? I'm very disappointed in this company it's a scamI think their license should be under investigation because they are not legitimateI've never come across a business as such who would outright say no refund and then threatened they want to halfway complyAll I want is my money back and them to not so anything for me.Thank-you in advance Response: We are not a scam as you could see our earned reputation and Revdex.com? accreditation? when you filed this complaintThere was not a? refund? due as you had already charged back the debit with your bank and the money was returned

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.Problem: I was contacted by one of their representatives that was trying to offer me lower payments on my student loansHowever, the person lied about the whole thingAfter paying the process fee, which I thought goes towards the student loansThey never mentioned that there was a monthly maintenance fee of $I had asked the representative twice just to be sure that I'll be saving moneyApparently that was a lieBasically I went from paying $a month to $a month with the new lender plus the $processing fee, $maintenance feeHow is this even consider as Student Loan Forgiveness? Long story short, I was lied to and misinformed thinking 1file.org was my new lenderDesired Outcome: I want them to cancel my contract for misinforming me about saving money on student loansIf they do record the conversation that I had with the repThey should know there was proofI called and ask for an audio recording or some sortBut they were giving me a hard time Regards, [redacted] **

This program is the worst!! If you're reading this right now don't, I repeat don't agree to joining this programIt's a HUGE SCAM! When I joined I was told nothing but lies and informationI was first told I would not pay anything until after I finished paying my attorney fees which is the a month fee and now I'm being charged a month from [redacted] on top of the a month so I'm basically paying , also my interest rate went up as well as the total of my student loanWhen I first started I owed with [redacted] and now I owe 9,somethingI should have just stood with [redacted] *** where I was only paying monthly, my interest rate was lower and my total was 8,Please save your money and timeThese people are just out for your money and not here to helpAlso, their customer is HORRIBLE, very rude! I deeply regret joining and signing up for this programP.SI'm only leaving a star because I have to, if not I would leave them nothing!!!

This is a CompanyThey are claiming to assist in student loan consolidation and in exchange grant a large amount of loan forgivenessThey charge a $fee and do not do anything at all with student loansThey had a lot of my personal informationTHIS IS A SCAM This company also repeatedly called me over and over for weeks without leaving messages Also, they are not letting me cancel their fake services

Mr [redacted] has been enrolled with us since 1/29/In the contract he signed with us at the time of enrollment (attached), it was very clear that we would be processing documentation on his behalf through the Department of Education and also the loan servicer, which is Fed Loan ServicingEmails are created for clients to enable us to properly manage their accounts, and all information is then forwarded automatically to the client's personal email accounts which they provide to usMr [redacted] 's claim that the Dept of Education or loan servicer was "unable to contact him", is simply NOT trueMr [redacted] has been receiving correspondence to his personal email since the day he enrolled with us on 1/29/We completed an Income Driven application for him last year and he received an approval from Fed Loan Servicing for a $payment for monthsWhen it was time to recertify his repayment plan, we contacted him several times via email and phone with no response to usBelow, you will see screenshot of an email opened and read by client and also detailed notes written in his fileHe has since cancelled his enrollment with us and filed this complaint

Client signed a simple English agreement which clearly states our relationship and clearly states you can do this on your own, Much like filing your taxes., and in the same way if you call the IRS and ask if they have heard of my Accountant the answer will be NO GREAT LAKES, failed to tell client he was eligible for years, only after we delivered the approval did GREAT LAKES now explain the optionsYou don't have to believe a word I say to search GREAT LAKES on the internet and find the same complaintsWe exist because government contractors like GREAT LAKES are not advising the millions of borrowers of their options, The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau Report confirms bad practice among all Government contracted servicersThe emails from FSA are from FSA we do not spoof any email headers Nature of Service; No Legal or Tax Advice1FILE.ORG is a private company not affiliated with any government agencyClient acknowledges that the programs that Clients is seeking are available without cost to ClientClients has retained 1FILE.ORG to perform work and processes that the Client could have chosen to do themselvesThe Client acknowledges that 1FILE.ORG is not a law firm, and that no legal or tax advice can or will be provided under this agreementClient acknowledges and agrees that the Services do not consist of any renegotiation, restructure, reduction or other adjustment of the terms of any existing loan or debt.- WE ALSO RECORD THIS IN A QUALITY CONTROL RECORDING WITH THE CLIENT AND A THIRD PARTY VERIFICATION CENTER

I reluctantly signed up with 1FILE because they stated they could help me pay off my student loans by filing the correct papers so that I can get a better deal on my loan payments (espicially since I was a military service member)I'm not sure when I started with them but it's been over years nowThey have been taking about $monthly from me and when I asked them what the money is gong towards, I don't get a clear answer! I have been working with FED LOAN and HESSA to pay off my student loansI also send my income tax yearly to apply for the income based replayment planWhat exactly is 1FILE doing for me? My credit card (I used for them) ended up getting misplaced so I had to get a new credit cardNow, they are sending me harrassing emails saying they will report me because the payments won't go throughAgain, I asked them what service they are providing me (before paying them) but they still won't give me a clear answer

These people are quite pushy and, to be honest, it felt like a scam the whole timeBut they are also quite convincing and knowledgeable: they said that the Repayment Program they offered would be $a month with an initial months of $and would be for a term of monthsI told them I already had an Income Based Repayment Plan for which my payments were effectively $for the next year and adjustable for the full monthsThey countered that the terms of my Plan were actually for monthsThis was incorrect--a form of misdirection, misinformation or simply bad information--my terms were as I understood themThe clincher for me was that they wanted my credit card number over the phone and sent me a boiler-plate contract over email (after I insisted that I needed to see the information in writing)I said I wanted the contract by mail and was promptly both promised this and dismissed (after being transferred to three separate representatives, each with a more official title but none with substantively different information or authority)We'll see if it comesEqually suspicious, they would not give me their physical addressThey claimed to be a part of another organization: USFLCC out of Baltimore, but their office is California (even though everyone in the background was speaking Hindi (not a racist comment, I know the language)) but then they could not tell me the physical address of their company beyond the fact that they are in Huntington BeachIncidentally, the California office of the USFLCC is in Pleasantion, CA, half-way across the stateThis business may be legitimate, may be accredited, but it certainly does not stand up well to intelligent scrutiny which should be a warning to anyone considering doing business with them

A # from Connecticut repeatedly called meI finally accepted the callIt was 1file.orgMy 'spider sense' immediately went off and my gut was telling me "NO!!!" They had all my info, said I qualified for 'Student Loan Forgiveness' from the Department of Education"The offer was to good to be true"I always 'sleep in things' and was adamant to not give him a payment at that moment!!! I immediately went to research them and found all these negative reviewsHere's one more!!!

Gina, my consolidation representative was very helpful with ensuring me that this company was trustworthyWhenever I needed to get in contact with her or had doubt about anything she was easily accessibleThis made me feel secure about my investment in this company
