I've purchased several vehicles from A Better Way Wholesale AutosI've never had a problem and the process was quickFinancing was a smooth and quick process as wellFriendly and welcoming staff

went to better way to buy a car and they did take a deposit of $from me to get me approve for the car they told me if I don't get approve they will give me back the money first they told me I was not approve then they call me back and said I was approve for a $payment for the car a month I told them I cannot afford it and I would like my deposit back they told they cannot give me back my money I work so hard for my money and this is not fair

I would not recommend Better Way Auto to my other consumers ESPECIALLY IF YOU DO NOT LIVE IN CONNECTICUT They do have the best prices on cars because as they told me, they have two people that do nothing except search the web for prices and discount their cars to dollars less than everyone else, and it works because there was a huge line out the door with people wanting to meet with a sales person I've never seen so many people waiting to talk to sales peopleAs to the sales people, they are quite shady They will schmooze with you and act like your best buddies and even give you their personal cell phone number, however, once the deal is done they appear to block you completely because you can never get in touch with them especially if something went wrong, as it did in my caseThe reason I'm writing this review is to warn other out of state consumers that they need to avoid this company The reason being is that they will claim that anyone out of state they will have to go to the registry and get your plates for you I'm sitting here writing this on day since I bought the car and literally about phone calls to this place where they assure me they sent me my plates, and to date I have not received my plates I have a beautiful and expensive lawn ornament with no Massachusetts plates on it They always assume me the plates were got and shipped, and they never arrive Then when you call they tell you that your plates were the front of the list and you'll get them in two days, and still, no platesAnother thing that the consumer needs to watch out for is their scheme to hit you with a very expensive warranty and gap insurance When I went upstairs to talk to Derek to sign my paperwork, he told me what my payment will be, and I was like, "why is it so high???" since I had calculated about dollars less per month than what they were telling me Come to find out they put a 36k mile warranty and gap insurance totaling another dollars into my loan You can tell them you decline, but understand that in Connecticut there is NO warranty if the car is over years old They have no law to protect you I bought the car without any warranty since it was years old, but my hobby is rebuilding cars so I figured i'd be okBut they assume people won't notice and pay for their warranty (which is only good at their facility) and this expensive gap insuranceSo buyer be ware In the future I'll look for another car elsewhere even if it costs more at least I can get my own plates and not have to deal with waiting a month and tens of phone calls to get to drive the car I bought

I brought my vehicle to A Better Way where they were supposed to replace the rear axle, a rim, and a steering column sensor and they took three weeks to do thisI checked up on what was going on halfway and I noticed there was new damage on the rear bumper, tailgate, and the tail lightI told one of the service workers there about it and he said not to worry about it and they would take care of it for meI trusted him in doing that but at a later date A Better Way said "we're only willing to replace the tail light the other things are only cosmetic damage and not important." He also went on to say that in the contract A Better way has that they are not responsible for any damage they do the vehicle while it is in their possessionI had to pay them for the other repairs they did and took back possession of the vehicle but throughout the entire process everyone I dealt with there was rude and didn't care that they had damaged my property and refused to repair it or make anything righ

I purchased a vehicle on November 26th , the car sales person that I was dealing with was Amy C*** which I had no issues with and that she did a decent jobOnce I said that I would take the vehicle and went to the financing office the there was illegal sales tricks that were tried to be performed such as immediately trying to add on all warranties offered by them with out telling me and trying to have me sign for double the monthly payment amount for the vehicle than I should and once I ask why the payment was so high he states that financing with certain credit/financing companies will require different warranties to be purchased in order to be approved which is absolutely incorrect and once I tell him that I will not be purchasing any additional warranties he receives a phone call to tell me that I will not be able to take the vehicle today due the vehicle went in for the second safety check before the vehicle was sold and they found that the wrong brake pads were install

I have reviewed the complaint file by *** ***I have also reviewed the sales transaction for the vehicle he purchased*** *** purchased a *** *** on July 1, When *** *** signed
his finance contracts and purchase paperwork he was given the opportunity to purchase additional products such as service contracts and oil changes for lifeAt that time *** *** elected to purchase the addition products which included the service contract and the oil changes for life program *** *** was not overcharged and was aware of the additional itemsI have provided copies of the paperwork that he signed that indicates his acknowledgmentThe Lifetime Oil Change Agreement is signed and states that the service cannot be canceledA Better Way has included a Pledge agreement to our customers which *** *** also signed indicating that he did not need to purchase additional products in order to obtain financingThe Retail Purchase order is also signed and again states that Oil Changes for Life is being purchased

I have reviewed your sales and service fileThe vehicle purchased was a *** ** with over 100,milesDue to the vehicle age and usage it is going to have items that have wear and tearAll of the concerns that you came into the service department for were addressedThe warranty is usually
for when there is a complete failure of one of the covered componentsThey do not usually cover when a part is making noise or has wearAnd in regards to the repairs that you requested that were not covered by the dealer warranty we offered to help you by splitting a portion of the bill with youAlso if you feel that the warranty is not of value to you I can assist you with trying to cancel itIf there is a refund available it will be applied to your loan balance

The vehicle that you purchased was an *** *** *** *** with 99, miles on itWhile I understand your frustrations, these are the things that sometimes happen with an older vehicle with high mileageThis is one of the reasons that we do suggest the consumer to purchase the extended warranty to help protect their purchaseSince we have no information about when the repairs were needed, I can not say if we would have been able to help youHowever, seeing that the transmission needed to be replaced a second time I would believe that It could have been installed wrong or have been a bad used transmissionThere are many times that a customer requires that the deposit be made refundable contingent to final test drive, and a customer can not drive a vehicle if it is unsafeOnce the repairs are made, customers are then able to test drive

I have reviewed the complaint and the sales records for the transactionI have spoken with Ben about the transaction and what he remembersThe ***'s did need to come back in to resign paperworkBen tried to explain what had happened and they were furious and stated "why should they have to
come back for his mistake"After further discussion, the ***'s did come back in and re-signI also spoke with Johnny, who has been with our company for over years, and does not recall the ***'s calling to inquire about a spare keyAs a gesture of goodwill, ABW would like to offer the ***s a spare key for the vehicleDue to the inconvenience they experienced when asked to come back to our store to resignIf they choose to accept, they can schedule an appointment with our service department to start the process

On June 14, I arrived at this dealership looking to purchase the *** ***I inspected the Vehicle and everything seems perfectly in order, he turned the engine on and it worksThe sales man, who's name is Chick, explained the vehicle to me, I was happy to buy itI asked for a test drive and was told that he has to check the tire and brake first and everything else was perfectly in orderAlthough, he said everything was already he then took me into the office and filled out some paperwork, and asked for a $deposit to make sure I was serious to buy the car, so I gave him my credit cardHe then brought me the Retail Purchase Order For Motor Vehicle, he just wanted some initial and my signature, without explaining there was no refund of deposit I gave him my Initials and signatureLater, I wanted to see if I can get a test drive and he said No, he has to get the tire and brakes check and hopefully he car will be mine that day, so he went to the back and came

Went to purchase a *** *** **Car salesman Paul said the vehicle had a clean *** and was never involved in an accidentWent to leave deposit on vehiclePaul kept pushing for me to sign that my deposit is non refundableI would not sign thatI told him I will leave deposit on my *** *** card and have every intent on buying the vehicle
When I got to the final steps of financing through my bank, my bank informed me the *** was not clean and car was involved in a "major accident with structural damage"My bank would not finance this vehicle due to this issue
I informed Paul of it and he acted like he had no clue what I was talking aboutcalled me back and tried to downplay it saying the *** is misleading cause it was a minor accidentPaul then tried to sell me on other carsI told him I wanted my deposit refunded back and he said they would refund it the following weekSince then, no one is returning my calls and has not refunded my $deposit

I Was charged $for VIN # etching witch state`s is optional on the Retail Purchase order Form even though I told the sales person I did not want this optional item she told me they already did it for meThe dealership did this without my concent Also when I asked if theDealer Conveyance Fee was negotiable I was told no, but in fact it states on the retail purchase order form that it is ...in bold lettersI was mis-led about my options twice by the sales staff I believe these actions buy this business are un-fair to the consumer

I have reviewed the sales and service documents for the complaint* *** purchased a Jeep Compass on May 20th, 2017* *** brought her vehicle in with concerns about the tires, she stated they were under the safety specsThe vehicle was brought into the service department to verify her concerns
It was determined that the tires were not out of spec and were in safe conditionIt was noted that the rear tires where choppy which could create the noise *** inquired about. In order to address *** other concerns, parts needed to be orderedThis resulted in the need for her to return for the parts to be installedAll concerns brought to our attention where addressed:Tires, Front rotors resurfaced cleaned and lubed, the front cradle replaced and an alignment was performedThe front cradle was provided by an outside vendor that specializes in aftermarket and recycled auto partsAll work was performed as goodwill due to the complaint being about noise and not a safety concern. If *** is still concerned about her vehicle and wants ABW to address it then she would need to bring the vehicle to usI am unaware of the manufacturer or extended service contract coverage for her concerns

From start to finish, the process was seemingly smooth and the customer service, excellentChris was accommodating and provided us with an experience we will never forgetThe dealership offers customers a relaxed form of vehicle purchasing along with a stress-free processGreat vehicles at unbeatable prices!

I have reviewed the complaint filed by *** *** and I have reviewed the sales documents for his transaction*** *** purchased a Subaru Legacy on October 26, The $charge is not for the VIN number of the carThe $charge is for the vin etching service that etches the
VIN # on all of the glass on the vehicleThis is a product that is offered as a theft deterrent, as the car can not be stolen and then sold for partsSome insurance companies offer a discount if the optional VIN etch service is purchasedThe $fee is what is charged by the Department of Motor Vehicle for processing the registrationThe $fee is a complete separate fee charged by the dealership for the services performed by the dealershipSome of the services are the process and submission of the registration, but not the actual cost of it
I have attached the copies of our paperwork to show where the fees were charged

Purchased a *** *** *** *** in May of this yearHadn't had the car for months when I noticed that the tires were bald and that I could hear that the brakes needed to be replacedI advised the front tires were the worst but was told that all the tires passed inspections and that only the rear tires were choppyThe car had at the time warrantiesOne through the dealer, the manufacturer and an extended warrantyWas advised after the car being seen that they would only do the rear tiresI then advised again that it's all the tires and wanted to know if I could speak w/ a manager about it because it was sold to me that wayWith attitude I was told that the rear tires were only being replaced out of good faith and that they didn't have to do it and that I could either take or leave it For the safety of my children, I had went all the way to *** which is a min drive there and back to have the rear tires replaced and the brakes assessedOnce I picked up

The process of buying my vehicle with Henry was amazing he was great at communicating the process and getting me the car I wantedHe was very friendly and accommodating with me being out of state I would definitely buy from A Better Way Wholesale Auto again!!!!

When we went to pick up the truck that we had wanted to purchase the sales person told us it was a dieselMy husband questioned that because he was sure it was notShe assured us it was and that she had put in diesel fuelProblem was when she later checked she realized she had made a mistakeThen we were told they would drain the tank and deliver the truck to us later that dayIt is 3:the next day and I am still waiting for my truckThis is not a better way to buy a car and I will never use them again

I have reviewed the complaint file by *** ***I have also reviewed the sales transaction for the vehicle he purchased*** *** purchased a *** *** on July 1, When *** *** signed his finance contracts and purchase paperwork he was given the opportunity to purchase additional

Complaint: ***
I am rejecting this response because: #All they do is bait and switch the customer, I should have looked at the NEGATIVE reviews on YOUR site BEFORE going to themI needed a car immediately, walking miles one way to work in the past weeks freezing cold weather could have caused me to have walking pneumonia#2, *** *** did NOT at ANY time say it would take weeks for deliveryHe said it would be ready that Friday after I put the down payment on it#Diesel engine lifters are the same no matter the make of vehicle#They should put the cars through the safety check BEFORE advertising it online to the customersWhen *** went to find the vehicle when we were there, he found it in the garage, but did NOT disclose to me until that Wednesday what was wrong with it*** ***, in a text that I still have on my phone, stated that the parts were not ORDERED until 2March The down payment date was 23FebOn 5March I asked if it would be possible to take delivery that weekend***'s response via text was "It's hard to sayCause of these parts were tryin" "The diesel parts r taking us a while to get r hands on"
WHAT HAPPENED TO "THE CUSTOMER IS ALWAYS RIGHT"?
If I have to take them to court just to get my deposit back, it will cost them a whole lot more than just my $1,I will have THEM pay the court costs, plus my out of work time, plus my mileage and gasPS We ALL KNOW how DAMAGING Facebook can be to a business
Sincerely,
*** ***
