My account was compromised on June 23, 2020. My entire paycheck was depleted from my account. I was advised by a customer service representative that, the transactions took place in Florida. I reside in Baltimore, Maryland. It is now July 1st, 2020... I have still not yet received any of my stolen funds. No one from Account More has contacted me. For days I could not get through to speak with a live person. The message on the automated system advised that my uploaded documents had been received. Account is in review and they would contact me on June 29th. No one contacted me by any means necessary. I Made contact on June 29th and today, July 1st. This is just so devastating!

I been with accountnow for some years and here lately it's been nothing but problems that's why after this issue is ever resolved I'll be cancelling this account because you can't get a customer service on the phone. People can't pay there bills because the funds are not posted until later in the afternoon if at all that day. I've gice this business chance after chance this is it for me.

I'd give this business a -10 if I could. Since the very beginning of me activating the card the troubles start. They have random fees that come out of account which should be waived if I have a constant flow of money coming on. But fast forward to this present day. We are within a pandemic and they choose to have poor customer service. I am very disappointed in the lack of respect, knowledge, and services I have received. The IRS has sent the stimulus check for my spouse into a Closed Account of mine. First, if my girlfriend's name is sent into a account with my name attached to it, you would think that they would have just returned it to the IRS. We have contacted them several times to dispute what was going, and just to get them to return the check to the IRS. They have restricted my account now, saying that I have to verify my account for a check that does not belong to me. They have placed me on numerous holds; claiming to be specialist but always have to forward me to a specialist that can help. Waited three plus hours to speak to the first representative, just to be placed on hold by a woman who caught an attitude because of my concern. She was suppose to forward the call to a specialist, and eventually hung up on me after wasting another 5 hours of my time. This has been a continuous battle to get them to forward someone else's money back to the IRS. After Sending all documents, I call today to find out that my "Closed Account" Balance is no longer the same. If the account is closed and over the phone I am being told they're has been no recent transactions. Who else could have taken the money? This company should be held accountable for their actions, and the money that has been taken from my closed account should be returned.

There were multiple online purchases on my card made and when I called to file a dispute they told me they could not help me and that I would be held responsible for the purchases even though I did not make them

The last dispute that was filed on her Card was April 17, 2019 and that dispute has since been granted. The last communication that AccountNow had with Ms. H was on February 13, 2020; Ms. H contacted AccountNow regarding her card status. She was informed that her Card was blocked due to an unusual pending transactions from the merchant "Target". Ms. H confirmed that she did not recognize the transaction and her card was replaced. Please note, the transaction did not post to her Card; hence, a dispute cannot be filed. If, the complaint is regarding a different transaction that she is looking to dispute, a dispute form has been attached to this response with instructions on how to submit the form. They blocked me from my account faxed in State driver license, proof of residency. Called 3 days in a roll waiting almost 2 hours. No one even apologize which is number one when it issues. The Rep left me on hold never connecting me to a supervisor after holding for 2 hours. Held another hours and just hung up. I already have an active account now card that they sent to my address they’re asking me to verify. Soon as yu updated your address online it automatically block yu from your account. Only reason I updated my account address because the old one is my grandma wen I was living there almost 3 years ago yet AccountNiw STILL mailed me a card in my name at my current address which is registered to my social security number. My account that has money the CARD expired but my money NEVER transfer and they made me verify my address which is already on file because the MAILED ME out a NEW card already. So I feel they are trying to get extra 10.00 off me even tho I already have another active account now account and active card and they wouldn’t transfer my balance from my expired card to my new active accountnow card and account. I just tried calling them this Tuesday morning and there having system issues and it sending you to the internet and no rep is AVAILABLE! I block and locked out my account to how the hell im suppose toUtilize account now public website when they purposely blocked me. The WOREST customer service. ITS MY MONEY! I completed the requirements. I have 2 kids to manage.

This company is trying to steal my stimulus. This is fraud

This company has denied me access to my funds. My paycheck and my stimulus check are on my card which was blocked without any communication from AccountNow. I have attempted to call them three days in a row and keep receiving a message stating they are closed. Today, I called the corporate office and I have been on hold for two hours. It is extremely hard to get in touch with someone and I cannot believe that I cannot access my own money!

They stole my friends entire refund deposit of about $9000 and she never received a dime. When you ask to speak to a supervisor, they all claim to be supervisors. Every document had been sent to them and no response. Our next objective is to take them to court.

I used my card on 3-28-20 at Walmart never had a reason to check account been deal with accountnow for years. My entire income tax was deposited to account I had 3,376 stole out my account and I have my card . When I tried to purchase a laptop for my son to homeschool my card was declined called the card no money all of it gone! I immediately called Houston Police Department and the stores where they was using my card no help all transactions back to back at gas stations. I’m upset because rent do and I have not able to take care of my kids I don’t understand why I was not notified of theses transactions a total of 31 that swiped me out. Called accountnow everyday no update I was told call by 4-15 so I called 4-10 was told I was denied the back office claim department said they didn’t see any errors. All I wanted was my money I have no reason to lie about my money and to get that type of money do to me working from home and do to stay at home for covid19. Nothing was investigated they are lying they know they messed up and refused to approve my dispute.

Ms. W is asking for the dispute claim to be overturned and be refunded $3,431.03.

Following the receipt of this complaint, an AccountNow supervisor reviewed Ms. W’ concerns. The claim was escalated to the loss management department for a review. It was determined that disputed transactions appeared to be authorized based on the cardholder’s customary transaction behavior and lack of standard indications of unauthorized use, and the claim will remain not granted. AccountNow received verification documentation on April 14, 2020. Please note, the document review timeframe is 3 business days. The document review was escalated and the document review is currently in process. As soon as the documents are reviewed, a new replacement card will be issues via expedited delivery. I am rejecting this response because:This is not true information these are 2 different issues the first issue is unauthorized use on my card that I never done and my card was never lost or stolen I went to Walmart was the last time I used my Accountnow card. On 3-30 I tried to purchase a laptop for my son card declined impossible went to the atm I only had 97.00 to my name and I had 3,376 dollars in my account. I called Accountnow no answer called Houston police made a report I did a dispute and fax it on 4-1-20. Was told my card was sent 4-2 well on 4-14 called because 5-7 day I should have got a card stimulus check deposit on 4-14 I called about my card was told wait till the 15th frustration no card asked to expedited the card for 3 days was told 1 question answered wrong well now I’m locked out my account and have not access to anything I sent documents bill, social security card and id on 4-14 but no card was sent to me but the denial letter I sure received. And this is not fair to me I have kids unprofessionally

I am rejecting this response because: The investigation should have been processed and done fair the first time no one buys that much gas with 5 to 7 transactions of 305.00 back to back same location swiping me out of 3400.00 in 4 days and when dispute it you reply to a lack of spending very disrespectful no the lack of keeping your valuable customers happy and being honest is something the company is lacking. To than lock me out my account no access to money from 3-28-30 and just got access 4-22-20 my rent just now getting paid but your company didn’t care about my well-being. I would never do business with Accountnow you have completely lost my business especially when you play with my livelihood.

This so call company is a *** they ask me to send to documents to prove my address which I done so over a week ago ever time I call they have a different lie to tell me I'm just frustrated with the *** company all I want is my funds who every dealing with this company will be sorry at the end because take you threw hell to get your money I ask what was they business I'd number so I can get me a lawyer they would not give it to me cwould someone please help me to get my payroll check back I don't never want to deal with this *** company again.

I have sent in every document to prove this me they still saying my documents under reviwe after a week later they told me from day one it will take 3 business days same thing every day.

I've had to call multiple times to correct a problem they created. I was given the run around, lied to, they passed the buck on to ingo, telling me that ingo handled all things deposit wise. When ur was account now that sent a check to me instead of transferring the money into a different prepaid account I'm switching to. So ingo couldn't process the check because it was considered a single person payee..I was told that account now couldn't cancel the check. I found out that b6 law they have to. Now after I Told them that they had to by law cancel the check, they are charging me a$20.00 fee!!!
Never, ever use this company! The customer service is horrible, I mean it is just down right criminal how bad they treat paying customers. Account now will do anything in ther power to make problems the customers fault and then charge the customer to fix problems they create.

I reported my card lost January 10th 2020 so I contacted account now and was told charged ten to replace the first card never received card in mail I called them back to let know a card was still not received days later they claimed it was a system error so they had a expedite option on January 21st for 25 dollars so I had them to select that option 3 days later still no card contacted a supervisor on January 24th he sure they would reverse the 25 dollar fee still haven’t received a tracking number their is balance of 309 on my account that’s owed to me it’s been over 3 weeks still no resolution

I dont know what to do if there is anything I can even do. I have had account now for several years I am a single parent on a fixed income. My card was stolen and used without my permission when I had discovered this I was out of state and called to report it immeditaly which I strongly regret, They locked my whole account giving me no access to my funds or anything they asked for some documents to be uploaded for the claim which I did and was denied the money to be credited back to my account which at that point they still would not let me access my remaining money or access to my account. They then requested more documents which I could not do due to not having them with me out of state so I had to wait until I returned home. in the mean time my derict deposits are being sent back which caused my ssi to be locked not aware of this until I returned home. when I did return home I immeditaly uploaded the requested documents and then had to go to my local ssi office to fix that. my bills are pilling up almost caused an eviction. I have called and begged and pleaded but didnt recieve any help. still I do not have access to my funds

Overview of Complaint: According to Ms. K’s complaint her AccountNow card was stolen. She contacted AccountNow to report her card and to file a dispute claim for unauthorized transaction. After the card was reported stolen, her AccountNow card was blocked and she was unable to access her funds. Ms. K was instructed to provide documentation to receive a replacement card. Ms. K provide all the requested documents but as of the date of this complaint, she has not gained access to her funds. Ms. K is requesting to have her AccountNow card closed and for the dispute claim decision to be overturned.

The results of Green Dot’s investigation are as follows

On November 29, 19, Ms. K contacted AccountNow to report her card lost and to report unauthorized purchases. The AccountNow associate that assisted Ms. K filed a dispute claim in behalf of MS. K. Due to the nature of the claim and the status of the card, the card was blocked. After the AccountNow associate reviewed Ms. K’s account, it was determined that verification and address documentation would be required to send Ms. K’s a replacement card.

On December 4, 2019, AccountNow received Ms. K address documentation. Please note the timeframe to review and approve documents is 3 business days. On December 6, 2019, the address documentation was reviewed and the document was not legible. Verification documentation was still required.

On December 9, 2019, Ms. K contacted AccountNow regarding the document review status. Ms. K was instructed to resend the address documentation and was informed of the documentation that was still required. Ms. K was also provided the option to contact the originator of her direct deposit and request to have the funds recalled.

On Friday January 24, 2020, AccountNow received Ms. K’s documentation. The documents were reviewed and approved on January 28, 2019. Our records indicate that a replacement card was mailed and has been activated. If Ms. K would like her account to be closed, she may contact AccountNow and request a check for the remaining balance.

Following the receipts, an AccountNow supervisor from the corporate office reviewed Ms. K’s concerns regarding the dispute claim. On December 12, 2019, loss management completed its investigation and determined that the claim will not be granted due to Ms. K’s customary transaction behavior and lack of standard indications of unauthorized use. The claim was escalated to the loss management team for a re-review and the claim will remain not granted. However, Ms. K’s received two refunds from a merchant that was included in the claim. Ms. K can contact AccountNow for further details regarding the refund.

I am not happy with that of course they make it seem like it was so simple. I was out of state with no money and they completely loked me out of my account I could have transfered funds but no. I had no access to all the documents they were requesting. Account now did not even allow me to dispute 800.00 and something dollors that was taken out of my account they instesd sent me a letter telling me they wont be crediting my funds. That money is my money and I was a victim and my so called bank locked me out of my account from my money cauing so mant problems. I had to go to my local ssi office and reinstate my account, everything I own was up for a lien sale, my automatic bill pay I have were all shut off I had to fix everything.

I had a tax return deposi8 on Aug 28 2019.. account now put a hold on my account until I could verify identity.. I could not provide everything so I requested that they send my money back to the Internal Revenue service.. account now stated that it would take 2 weeks to send money with would have been Nov 27.. I spoke with irs they have not received any money back from account now.. account now keep telling me the same thing. But they can not tell me an exact date that the money was sent back... I think it's some type of fraud with this company

She was required to submit verification documentation but Ms. Goudy was unable to provide the required documentation. Thus, the funds were returned back to the IRS. Ms. Goudy states she spoke with the IRS and the IRS informed her they have not received the funds. Ms. Goudy is requesting for the money to be sent back to the IRS.

I've never complained through Revdex.com in a company but this matter requires me to do so. My account was compromised and my card was reported lost or stolen. In order to get a new card I had to send in proof of identity. I sent in my proof of identity (state ID and a medical bill with proof of my address) as I was required to do to verify my identity. I told the customer service representative that I only had a PO Box due to being homeless. He stated that was fine but he needed the documentation to verify my identity and expedite my card within 3 business days. He stated that it takes up to 3 days to verify the paperwork and 3 days to get the replacement card. This was on Sunday 01/05/2020. I've been calling everyday to check the status of my paperwork being reviewed, NOTHING! Today I call (01/09/2020) to find out if my card was sent out yesterday because that was the deadline to have the paperwork reviewed and the card sent out. I was told that because I had a PO Box that my card couldn't be expedited. I asked the representative if there was a note in the system saying that my card needs to be expedited. She said yes but they don't expedite to PO Box addesses. I informed the representative of what was told to me on Sunday and that every day I've been calling and have never been told that the card couldn't be expedited to my PO Box. She keeps telling me this is policy. I asked to speak to a manager and have had no luck. I have no money and no access to my account to withdraw funds and I've told every representative I've talked to this week the same thing. I'm extremely upset and frustrated because I have no money to take care of my children nor myself and that's why I've called every day to get this issue resolved and still no luck.

So I received a replacement card that they canceled BEFORE I could activate it. Was told to send in documents to verify myself and address to get a new card. Did that on the 3rd. Was informed Monday the 6th would be the latest verification date. I called Tuesday the 7th to see if the card was sent out I was informed my documents weren't even looked at. I was then told that it would be by the end of business day Tuesday the 7th and no later than the 8th which is Wednesday that everything would be done. I then called today Wednesday the 8th to find out updates and I was told I had to wait for the end of business day and call Thursday the 9th to get updates. All I asked of them was to see if they could view my documents sooner today so my card could be issued out. I was told they can't reach out to them until tomorrow which does not make sense. I just want my card sent out so I have access to my money and my pay.

According to Ms. Chisholm’s complaint, AccountNow cancelled her card before she could activate the card. She was instructed to submit verification and address documentation to receive a replacement card. Ms. Chisholm’s states that AccountNow gave her a timeframe for the document review but the review took longer than the timeframe provided. Ms. Chisholm is requesting a replacement card as soon as possible.

The results of Green Dot’s investigation are as follows:
On January 3, 2020, Ms. Chisholm contact AccountNow because her card had expired. The AccountNow associate that assisted Ms. Chisholm informed her that a replacement card was sent in Nov, to the address on file. Ms. Chisholm informed the AccountNow associate that she didn’t receive the replacement card and that she had a new address. For security reasons, the card was blocked and Ms. Chisholm was instructed to submit verification and address documentation. Once the documents were received and approved, a new card would be sent. Please note, the timeframe to review and approve documents is 3 business days, business days are Monday through Friday. The 3rd was a Friday, therefore the 3rd business day was Wednesday the 8th.
On January 3, 2020, Ms. Chisholm contacted AccountNow once more and inform the associate that she had indeed received the replacement card. Due to security reasons, the block could not be removed because the card has been previously reported as not received and sent to an old address.
On January 3, 2020, AccountNow received Ms. Chisholm’s verification and address documentation, and on the 8th the documents were reviewed and approved. Our records indicate that the card was replaced and activated.

I have an account now card that I have money on that I can not get off.now I have called them to change my address and e-mail and was told I need to use the old e-mail on the website. I still have my old user name and password. I have tried them both and I am not having any luck. they tell me they would reset and it has been two months and nothing.I need them to mail me the rest of my money on this card. also the banks do not do a cash advance here. I have had them for a while and they were good.now I need my money.they keep taking monthly fee of $15. On October 30, 2019, *** contacted AccountNow because she forgot her card’s pin number and she wanted to update her address. She was referred to the self-service options via her online banking account, and was instructed to run her card as "credit" in the meanwhile. *** informed the associate that she didn’t have access to her old email but would attempt the log in and call back.
On November 4, 2019, *** contacted AccountNow regarding her pin and changing her old email. She was given instructions on how to use the self service options online.
Following the receipt of this complaint, an AccountNow supervisor has reviewed*** concern. On January 8, 2020, AccountNow attempted to contact *** using the phone number on file and the phone number provided on this complaint, but we were unable to reach her. AccountNow will issue her a check for the remaining balance, because access to her old email is required to retrieve the user ID and password. Also, online banking access is required to change the pin. ***will need to submit verification and address documentation either by fax at*** or by uploading them to*** . She can also email the documents to *** Once the documents are received and approved, a check will be issued to *** Please note the timeframe for document review is 3 business days. I would like to say first and foremost I do not believe in slandering another companies reputation and each organization has there protocols to follow but the service that I receieved from Account Now is complete and utterly unethical. They cancelled my account with telling me after I specifically called in to have my direct deposit added back on to my account which I stopped using because the card was due to expire but one of their reps told me not to worry and that as long as the funds are available then I can access my money. I did everythin they asked. Further, I called them because I had to.many log in attempts that were wrong and they blocked me from using my internet features so I can transfer my money away from these people as they make money off interest and now I was told there is nothing they can do. It will take them 3 days to verify my drivers license because the first 3 times I uploaded it. They said it's too blurry. I resubmitted everything they asked for. THE reason I am complaining is because they did all of this without advising me they were going to do so and now they are holding the only money I have to live on. There is no possible way they do not have any recourse of action when something like this happens. All I am asking is for fairness. I would like someone from their corporate office to contact me. I would like the opportunity to authenticate my identity and then simply turn off the restriction they put on my card so I can transfer my money away from these people. I never thought I wouldn't have money to eat since Friday. My direct deposited funded. The money is available. There is simply no reason I should suffer when I followed exactly the directions given to me. I need this resolved as fast as possible. New years is coming up. I'm petrified that this company is going to sit on my funds and do nothing. I was hung up repeatedly by customer service when being transferred. This is my lively hood. I clearly not make enough money where I can go through other means to use traditional banking. Thid is unethical and the way they are conducting business is illegal. You can't tell me that I have a funded deposit but they can not give me access to transfer it out of their bank or whatever they are. This company needs to looked into and I'm willing to follow through with a lawsuit.should they not allow me access to me money. ***According to Mr. Birnbaum compliant his AccountNow card was cancelled without his consent after he called in regarding his card that was soon to expire. He also contacted AccountNow because he was locked out of his online banking profile for too many failed attempts. The results of Green Dot’s investigation are as follows:
Following the receipt of this complaint, an AccountNow supervisor from the corporate office reviewed Mr. Birnbaum concerns. It was determined that his card was restricted due to Mr. Birnbaum reporting that his replacement card was not received. The replacement card was sent on October 18, 2019 to the address on file. Mr. Birnbaum was instructed to submit verification documentation and address proof, to update his address and to reissue a new card. The documents AccountNow received are invalid. Please note, AccountNow doesn’t accept images of photocopies and or enclosed envelopes as proof of address. Mr. Birnbaum can contact AccountNow to inquire why the documentation was invalid and what is still required. As soon as AccountNow receives the required documentation and the documentation is approved, AccountNow will expedite Mr. Birnbaum a new card at no charge.

According to Ms. Guillebeau’s complaint, she contacted AccountNow to inquire about a purchase on her card. After the call was placed, her card was deactivated and closed without her consent. Ms. Guillebeau states that she was instructed to provide verification documentation, or her deposit would be returned to the originator. Ms. Guillebeau is requesting to gain access to her funds as soon as possible.
The results of Green Dot’s investigation are as follows:
On December 14, 2019, Ms. Guillebeau contacted AccountNow regarding two unauthorized purchases made from her card. The AccountNow associate that assisted Ms. Guillebeau filed a dispute claim, updated her address, and reissued her a new card.
On December 19, 2019, the loss management team completed its investigation and granted the claim in her favor. A resolution letter was sent the same day.
On December 21, 2019, Ms. Guillebeau contact AccountNow inquiring about the status of her card. She wanted to know why the card was blocked. The AccountNow associate that assisted Ms. Guillebeau informed her that the card as blocked due to the unauthorized transactions that were reported on December 14, 2019. Ms. Guillebeau informed the associate that she did not contact AccountNow regarding unauthorized charges. Due to this, the new card was blocked, the account was tagged as multiple caller and verification documentation were requested.
Following the receipt of this complaint, a supervisor from the corporate office reviewed Ms. Guillebeau’s concerns. Ms. Guillebeau was contacted on December 30th, 2019 and the issue was resolved. On December 12, 2019, I reviewed my account with AccountNow prepaid debit card and found it had been comprising. I then contacted the Bankcorp who is the bank for AccountNow and informed them of the comprise in 6 transactions made on my account now. the transaction in the amount of $85.00 which was done 2 times to flypay.com whom collect for att prepaid wireless other transactions to jail atm which also add 2 transaction done in amounts of $55.24 and $110.00 which use by the Alabama correction department. another transaction to center help website in the amount of $49.99 and the last transaction for internet.com for $150.00 . which told them was not me and all were unaurthorize . I told them to cancel the card and send a new card. the representative. Michelle if this is her name and was a claim would be issue bit they are not able o do anything because the transaction was pending and they have to post first so if the charges were pending the bank could have rejected the unauthorize transaction and place funds back to the account but they say the paid the claim and will investigate instead I file the claim and fax the form and upload it account now system for claims .unauthorizedshe stated. I filed the police report in my county in regard to this matter and sent the report with the claim form. I then called back to ensure they receive the claim form and report and through there automated system was informed that they say they approved the charges of unatoeization in the amount $105.00 and it would post to my account but only $55.74 was posted this approval was suppose to be for $49.99 and $55.74 of one the payment to jailatm account thing.approval. They denied my claim to att.com stating no error found I did not approval this transaction I do not have a phone with att and I even called the flypay merchant and recieve the numbers they paid using my information I the call att prepaid and was informed that the bank gotten the money back the payment in the total $170.00 amount decemeber 16th ,2019 but has yet to return to my account . the $110.00 was not return either how can you ay me for one transaction that was not aurthorized but say the other no error was found all transaction were done for alalbama area and I have no connection to or have ever had any to anyone involved in these unauthorized transaction .the transaction for 150.00 has not been returned mention nor has it be refunded back to my account. I feel now the bank is making me victim by allowing this unauthorized transaction to proceed when they had the opportunity to stop this transaction from going through and by not returning the monies they have retrieved from the merchant on this traction and one the claim I have filed I did all the proper protocol to ensure this transaction be reserve gave them the numbers in which this transaction had use and call the jail to ensure they do their own investigation.
