This is in reply to the
complaint ID [redacted].
Thank you so much for
contacting us.
I looked into this
customer’s account to see that they were refunded their full amount in store
credit on the day they called (2/**/2014). This customer must call our hotline if
they wish to be unsubscribed from our membership after their payment vacation
is over in May at [redacted]. We are open from 8:30AM – 8:30PM EST time,
Monday – Friday.
We are not trying by any
means to force customers in a subscription program.
I have attached below a
screen shot of the shopping cart with the two payment options (as seen in image
#1):
Customers who select the VIP Membership option during checkout are
sent a membership confirmation email, then two reminder emails before the fifth
reminding them to either skip the month or make a purchase. Customers who do
neither before the fifth are charged $39.95, which turns to store credit
available for their use at any time.
E-mails regarding
membership sent to the customer in question (as seen in image #2):
This customer did not make a purchase or skip
the month in December 2014, January 2014, and February 2014, and was charged on
12/**/2014, 1/**/2014, and 2/**/2014 but refunded on 2/**/2014.

I love the products and the delivery was fast. The puns on the box were also great! The only thing I was remotely displeased with was the included lookbook. All of the models were white and there was only one plus sized model while the website has very diverse models which is what makes me enjoy the website.
Generally, AdoreMe has provided nice products at a reasonable price, but whenever there's a shipping issue, they seem to have serious trouble responding and correcting the problem.
I've had several experiences with support staff who don't seem to even be looking into the order history, and instead just send a form-letter reply that further delays or confuses any resolution.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:
I feel as thought my complaint was not thoroughly read or understood. First and foremost, Attachment1 shows the page where a selection can be made for choosing VIP membership or Not, and then select continue shopping. I was able to continue shopping without selecting either option and yet was still enrolled in VIP membership without any further warning or notification during the checkout process.
I feel as though my complaint was not thoroughly read or understood. First and foremost, Attachment 1 shows the page where a selection can be made for choosing VIP membership or Not, and then select "Continue Shopping". I was able to select "Continue Shopping" without selecting either option and yet was still enrolled in VIP membership without any further warning or notification during the checkout process.
Secondly, I was initially told that by refusing the order would un-enroll me from the program since my purchasing the order at a discount automatically bound me to it regardless of whether or not I physically selected that option or knew about it. I did this and opted out of the months during this process.
Once the return was finally complete (which took quite some time, as detailed in my original complaint) my credit card that was kept on file, expired. These two occurrences gave me confidence that I would no longer need to opt out of months, as my membership should have been cancelled as originally promised, and the credit card would no longer be useable. I also stopped receiving the notification emails saying my monthly selections were available, further confirming my understanding of a successful cancellation. However, after a brief reprieve, the charges started up again and those are the months that I am contesting. By the time I realized it, it was February, however that money was taken from me under false guise, by way of an expired credit card, that I was unknowingly tricked into having kept on file in the first place.
Lastly, the refund that I received for the item I originally ordered and subsequently refused, was just a fraction of the amount I paid for it, even though the package was unopened and returned free of any postage expense to Adore Me by way of my refusal.
I have zero desire to receive store credit through your company, and once more respectful and strongly request my refund as detailed in my original complaint.

For an online lingerie business, they do their best to provide quality looks at affordable prices. They do a good job of presenting their products well and delivering them in a timely manner. I have not had the need or opportunity to work with their customer support team, but I have enjoyed the purchases I have made.
I love love love Adore me products. They fit well and make a person feel oh so sexy. I recommend them to all my friends and female family member's.

First, they send SO MANY SPAMMY EMAILS! I don't need an email sent to me everyday of the same items.
I try to cancel my account on the site and it's NOT clear how to do so ANYWHERE.
Then I call to cancel, have to sit on hold for 15 minutes listening to horrible music.
Once I get someone on the phone, she says she cannot cancel my account.
Then when I finally get an email back, there is a link that does not clearly state I can cancel my account and go to it....
TO CANCEL YOUR ACCOUNT THEY MAKE YOU TAKE A SURVEY!!!
Who does that?
You cannot cancel unless you take a survey?
This whole service is a scam. The quality of the product is not worth the price. Will NEVER recommend. YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF YOUR COMPANY..and your lack of morals! ..hopefully this will prompt someone to take action and fix this.
Adore Me provides great products that women, including me, love to put on. They make me feel sexy and always fit perfect. I've been ordering from them for over a year and they have provided great customer service. I always get excited when my Adore Me package comes in the mail!

I have ordered bra and panty sets from Adore Me in the past and have found them to be very comfortable. I like it when they put a choice of panties to go with the bra...and the variety of colors. The set is a very good deal.

Members may redeem this credit on AdoreMe.com at any time. VIP members who do skip the month (before the [redacted] day 11:59:59 p.m. EST) may change their minds and are free to shop any item in their showroom throughout the month. Please note this is an automatic billing, and members who do not participate in the active membership may accumulate store credits. Customers are able to request a refund directly, within 30 days of the charge. Upon further investigation, it appears that the customer has been unsubscribed from the membership on April [redacted], 2014 and was refunded the store credit for April (see attached image #3).Moreover, we see that the customer initiated a chargeback with their bank for the remaining store credit, and the said credit was frozen (see attached image #4). Unfortunately we are unable to unfreeze or refund the credit, as the customer has already been refunded by their bank.If there are further comments questions or concerns, please let us know.
