Sales agent lied about everything and now were are stuck in a year contract

Advertisement on your homepage directly contradicts what is offered when a customer calls to follow through
I went on your site to look for a number to reach you as my father is paying $in *** ***, ** for the same service (minus smoke detector, door, window), yet I pay $in *** *** ** (minute distance) I understand maybe a few dollars, but DOUBLE? Your home page mentioned "Get a Nest Learning Thermostat installed at no cost." When I spoke to a rep this morning, they refused to acknowledge my father's account, I even asked if I should conference him in, denied "you're getting the lowest price." Zero help and very cold Is that customer service? I then asked about the Nest feature I had to repeat myself times, as the rep didn't' know what I was referring to?! Don't know your own products? Finally understood that it was a thermostat, and quickly transferred me to sales saying she couldn't help me The next sales rep quickly denied the free installa

I called on 10/06/2:P.MXXX-XXX-XXXX and cancelled my serviceThe rep said it would take days but the account would be cancelled and a refund would be made He also threatened to lock up my equipment so that it could not be used by another provider I told him that the control pad had already been disconnected and that I had purchased the equipment so it is a good thing that he couldn't do thatI did not receive a refund and I received a bill in the mail today 12/17/for the next three months I called customer service and was told that there was no record of that call and they would not refund any unused monies prior to today
Question: why was I threatened when, as I was told today,
they do not even have the capability to lock up equipment and why was that call not showing up on ADT system when all calls are supposedly recorded?
So I have been paying for more than months of service which I cancelled of 10/06/This makes me a very unhappy former customer who would never use ADT services againI previously used ADT services for many years both at home and business and was very satisfiedI changed services because my son in law works for another security companyThis is a very bad experience and a reflection on the integrity of the company and its employees

I am writing this to inform consumers about my experience with ADTI have been with the company for over yearsIn this time I have found the communication between the sales/support people and the technicians to be less than acceptableI was referred to another security company by my insurance company and decided to take the leap to move forward with themMy experience with canceling ADT has been as followsCalled to cancel over the phoneWas transferred to the loyalty departmentThe representitive repeatedly asked me why I wanted to cancel and then mocked me for previously posting on social media about ADT's serviceMy last post on social media was due to the same reasoning for this postTHE COMPANY DOES NOT CONTACT YOU BACK FOR ANYTHING BILLING RELATED UNLESS YOU OWE THEM MONEYSince my phone call with them, I was told he could not complete the cancellation over the phone and that I needed to email customer supportI have sent emails to this address since without a reply as well as connected with ADT through their website "contact us page"Still no replyAt this point I have cancelled my visa card so no further payments will go throughIt seems to be the only way to cancel service with this companyThe most disgusting part of all of this is that they are supposed to be a security company who is there to protect you against robberyIn my opinion not allowing someone to cancel your services is robbery

From failed contract promises, to countless time on hold and being transferred ,to not receiving proper refund - done
I now know this company uses a sub sales companyThis said company had offered me months free services when I had tried to cancel my free trial period.(my reason for cancelling was because upon the sales interaction, I already had a different alarm company set up , in which I was waiting to hear back about how much longer my contract had left) once finding out I still had a year left I chose to cancel the free trial with ADTAbout a month and a half later I noticed a payment of $and change had been withdrawn from my account, from ADTI then sent a text to my sales rep Marlen, inquiring what this was for? He said ADT had apparently 'missed the email' regarding said free services, as he proceeded to assure me this would not happen againThe following couple months passed and looking at my bank statements I noticed in fact I had been charged another monthsI

Late August 2017, I had Impulse Alarm, an ADT Authorized Dealer, visit my house to talk to me about placing an alarm system in the residence I live inAfter contacting ADT to verify Impulse Alarms qualifications, I agreed and signed their contractOne of the reasons I signed on was that ADT was adding the Ring doorbell system with the alarm setup at no extra charge*** ** from Impulse assured me that the system plus the Ring doorbell would be up and running in less than weeksWell, I'm still waitingI have tried several times to contact *** and his boss *** and they do not return my phone callsADT has also given me the the runaround, even though I pay my bill on timeThe best thing about my system, is that the key pad works great as a night light

One of the worst customer service experiences I have ever experienced I contacted the AZ provider Defender to switch my current system The second level sales individual was friendly and helpful and we scheduled a security evaluation the next day, I clearly communicated the need to convert my current home automation equipment and was assured each component would be reviewed to determine if it was compatible with the ADT Pulse system The technician arrived one time and did a security review It was clear the focus was security not home automation He was attempting to resolve the majority of my concerns as expected Once we were about to start the installation he mentioned there would be a $charge for establish the home automation component This charge was never mentioned by the sales person or her supervisor I wasted hours of my time and the time of the installer to accomplish nothing Had this been disclosed during the sales interaction this would have terminated the process at that point in time I was also told I would receive an email with the details of the program but I never received this email I had dealt with ADT for year previously but will never even consider them again

Just want people to know how dissatisfied I am with this company! This company charged me $which I did not agree to and charge was not noted in the TOSIn fact, while ordering this product several pop ups made it difficult to uncheck boxes agreeing to miscellaneous servicesI must've missed oneI ended up having an allergic reaction to the product and when I contacted them regarding their unauthorized charges and told them of my allergic reaction, I was offered only a "maximum refund" of $less a $"restocking fee" which will obviously not be restockedSo...as I explained to the manager...to simply try this product and return it with nothing in return but aggravation

I purchased October - my husband was traveling often and with children I felt like we would be safe and free from worry That has not been the case with the ADT system and its lack of performance and customer service has had just the opposite effect causing uncertainty in our safety, lack of sleep, and overall frustration My family has been woken up in the middle of the night by beeping sounds that won't stop even after contacting the ADT service representative We have waited days for a technician and every time after leaving the home the beeping would resume only having to wait once again for another representative We are an extremely busy family with child school activities and, to have to wait around for an ADT technician to come in a 4-hour window is excessive and unreasonable Below is the documented technician visit tickets over the course of

Deceptive sales practices, refusal to cancel a contract
Last month I called ADT to cancel our servicesWe never signed with ADT to begin withyears ago, we had another monitoring company that apparently got sold to ADTFor years, we never had to use the servicesI spoke to a representative that convinced me to keep the service in exchange of a deep discountA week ago, I am receiving a past due notice for the full amount, no discount shown
This morning I called again to ask for the cancelation as obviously there was a misunderstanding and since I did not get a deep discount, I did not want the service anymore
Today though, ADT representative tells me that I do not have the authority to cancel that contract as it is under my husband's nameInterestingly enough, the bill comes to both our names, and last month I did have the authority to cancel or renew

I just received a letter from an attorney for ADT and it infuriates me as I have tried to work things out with this companyI signed up my stores years ago and paid $3,($1,per store!) for camerasThe biggest reason I wanted the cameras was to watch at home, on my phone or computer...the sales person said NO PROBLEM! I cancelled ADT but they contacted me and promised $100.00Visa Card but didn't tell me I had to pay to get it sent to me plus they promised me a cheaper monitoring monthly plan still do not have now I have another contract that I hate I will never use them again even if I have to pay another company twice what ADT charges they lie and are no better than any other monitoring company who charges 10x less to monitor

I called ADT to cancel my security service that I have had for approximately years It was an absolute fiasco They had my account linked to an old account They told me I didn't have service at my current location where I've lived for years After an hour on the phone, I was promised that they could only unlink my accounts by cancelling my current service They were adamant that that was my only option I agreed because I need my current service cancelled Interestingly, they couldn't give me a confirmation number or an email confirmation I WILL NEVER USE THIS COMPANY AGAIN AND I CANNOT RECOMMEND ADT TO ANYONE This is the worst customer service experience I have ever had

Will definitely never use them again and make sure to let anyone I know aware of the lack of trust and truthfulness of their service
