I called ADT on May 24, to cancel my accountThey were incredibly difficult to work with, at times refusing me access to my own account in the name of "security" when they realized I was canceling my serviceI escalated my complaint to a manager and suddenly I was able to access my account no problemI spent nearly an hour on the phone negotiating the cancelation of serviceThey require an additional month of payment after service is canceled which is ridiculous in my opinion, but that is their policy and I agreed to pay itThey notified me that my service was canceled and that I would receive a final confirmation of June payment (the additional month after cancelation) by the first or second week in JulyI did not receive this confirmation; instead I received a bill for July that they automatically charged my credit card for and which was unauthorizedThere is no mention anywhere on my account regarding the cancelation of serviceThey provide no location to remove my cred

I would not buy this service When I retired and decided I didn't need it, the process to cancel was impossible It took many phone calls over several months, and I had to continue paying the monthly fee When I finally reached someone the process took a lot of time and they tried to convince me not to cancel

We have been a ADT paying customer since I have to say we are very unhappy with their poor serviceAround April 10, 2017, I called in to cancel our service because our system is very old and some doesn't even work properly I was on the phone for over hours with this guy who clearly doesn't know what he is doing He offered to upgrade our system for free and clearly states no contract will be involved Another guy came on the phone started to inform us that this guy didn't do it correctly and offered to upgrade for $and with no contract He was very rude We agreed to the offering Few days later the installer call and told us there is orders for us and says that whoever put this order together obvious screw it up big time Not only is that there was a year contract attached!! I was lied to Today I have called to finally cancel this whole service I don't think anyone wants to go

I have realized your home security systems have a security problem that I will not discuss in print or on the internet because it could effect all your customers with your fob system
My experience this weekend indicates you are not a 24/7security company
This weekend I felt no security from your system do to the lack of service on Adt end
We were told a technician can only come out to our home on Monday We had a car Breakin on Saturday with a fob been taken I will go in greater detail when a representative gives me a call
I felt that your company and call centers need to learn about security

Faulty alarm and bogus contract
Our alarm hasn't worked correctly for yearsWe have multiple homes secured with this service and one of our tenants are having the same problem we were so we canceled that serviceThe unit makes us bypass different sensors and goes off for no reason at all hours of the nightFor the past months without fail every weekend the alarm will go off around 4-5amThis has been horrible for the past years but now my wife is pregnant with our 6th child and she also has LupusWe have had the police come out for alarms that we have had to pay for and that makes me angry because our brothers in blue have so many more important issues they should be dealing withMy dogs go crazy when they hear the alarm go off and one day while I was at work and the wife was at the commissary the alarms went off (for no reason) for over minutesI have had ADT technicians out here on more than occasion and obviously they don't know what they are doingI calle

I purchased service with the company over a year ago, and they never finished the installation of the original agreed upon contract

ADT has failed to render excellent service, the techs act as if they don't know what there doing Some are even rude

From failed contract promises, to countless time on hold and being transferred ,to not receiving proper refund - done
I now know this company uses a sub sales companyThis said company had offered me months free services when I had tried to cancel my free trial period.(my reason for cancelling was because upon the sales interaction, I already had a different alarm company set up , in which I was waiting to hear back about how much longer my contract had left) once finding out I still had a year left I chose to cancel the free trial with ADTAbout a month and a half later I noticed a payment of $and change had been withdrawn from my account, from ADTI then sent a text to my sales rep Marlen, inquiring what this was for? I'm being asked to pay a $disconnect fee for a contact I never signed
I called ADT in March of to disconnect due to high cost,and me finding a lower service cost for the same service I was instead told that ADT would match the competitor pricing if I agreed to a month contract After being told there was no disconnect fee if I were to move I agreed to the contract
Fast forward to last month I called ADT to cancel my service because I am moving due to a job change The ADT Representative said that there would a $disconnect fee because I hadn't fulfilled the contract agreed tooBasicly I was mislead into this agreement and I sign nothing
I have has no luck trying to resolve this with ADT to this date despite numerous phone calls I don't want this going to collections and damage my credit

I just got a absolute joke of an emailADT is taking my monthly rate up over $bucks a year! They just created $318.3MM in yearly profit w a price increase to 7mm customers!! months after Apollo Private equity bought the company, are justifying this b/c they revamped the call center and built an app?? I could get a Stanford undergrad to build me an app for $10k dollars! Call center: that means more automation, job losses and efficiency and higher profit margins (prob pays for its self)you would think they would pass cost saves on to customersNOOO, they want to increase prices, increase corp profit margins, automate process, fire employees (redundancies), pay down debt, increase their equity value and re-trade the company for a massive profit in a few yearsguess who gets screwedcustomers and employees

An attempt was made near the end of August 2016, to cancel my account with ADT After making numerous phone calls, sending numerous emails and making numerous other attempts to contact them, they have continue to deny that I have cancelled my account They even went so far as to send me to a collection company ADT has informed my that I did not include an account verification code I do not recall that they ever requested such a code or informed me that such was needed This issue has been going on for months and ADT seems to be totally ignorant of all my attempts I have copies of emails, letters, and notes from phone calls.This situation is ridiclous and totally uncalled for I had been their customer for more than years

On 9-15-I had ADT come to my home to reactivate my alarm systemThe technician, Ron Dwas unprepared for the visitHe had a long form and the majority of the information should have been filled out before reaching my residence, considering it was paperwork for the technician not the customerHe was laying on the table as he filled out the form, not sitting up in the chairThe information he stated was different from the conversation I held with the telephone repHe stated it was yrs instead of yr; he stated there was a reactivation fee & according to the telephone rep the only fee I was suppose to pay on 9/was the 28.99,I explained that to Ron and he said okay, but when I checked my account I was billed During the time of service he said I was not

I was told that I would be billed for stopping my monitoringI was charged times out of my contract
I stopped my contract due to me moving and ADT could not cover my new addressI was told that I would get a $credit because it was their fault that I could not move and that I would stop being chargedSince my contract has been stopped on 8/31/I have been charged times once for monitoring of and one time again for Both times I did not authorize the payment to be taken outI was also told that I would not recieve the credit that I was told about even though every person that I spoke with said it was on my account

I had an ADT system installed and within the day cancellation period I cancelled the contract, primarily because of misrepresentation of the product and promotions promised When the installer came to uninstall he left holes in the walls where the equipment was placed He refused to repair and when I contacted customer service, they too refused to repair the damages stating that they are not responsible for any tool or equipment damage as a result of the installation This is a terrible way to do business - come into a customer's home, damage the walls, and not take responsibility Knowing that it is company policy not to take responsibility for damage, the installers can be as reckless as they want to be knowing that they will not be held accountable Terrible customer service

In June of 2016, I started I moved my ADT service from GaTo Zachary, LaThe service worked for exactly two months, after which I began to have problem.The check Lang radio would not erase from the screen and hindered me from using the sytemI called ADT serial times to have the complaint resolvedresolved but they could never send out a technician at a time

In late February 2017, our landlord sold the house and gave us days to move, ADT still have out account activeWe called several times
