ADT did a failed installation and won't reschedule to fix it
I scheduled to have a cellguard installed on my home ADT system since I no longer have a phone lineI got the service scheduled and due to the time required for them to be there, I had to take a vacation day from workThe ADT person who showed up, didn't bring the right equipment and was very rude in the processADT sent me a part that wouldn't even work for the upgrade the ADT person was doing, so we had to reschedule it for another dayI wasted $of a vacation day for nothing to be doneThen on the day we reschedule it for, I had to take a 1/of a vacation day for me to be there for a later in the day installThe ADT rep came and started doing the install and in a very short time needed to contact tech support for assistanceHe didn't have cell service at my house so he had to borrow our cell phone for hours talking to tech support until 8pm at night when tech support closesAt that time tech support said th

My company given to collection because of terminated contract due to ADT failure to provide services
My company has signed the contract with ADT security services on The only disturbance we have experienced during service period was 1.57am-when the Burglary alarm went offADT only emailed me the notification about the burglary - NO calls, NO police, NOT even a textAn email in the middle of the night about things with possible disastrous resultsFortunately,this time it was my staff who mistakenly put wrong alarm disarm pin, but alarm was going off for about min - so only imagine what could be done to the business in that time if it was a burglaryADT didn't even call to follow up on the incidentTherefore I started emailing and calling ADT about what happened-but neither I got any explanations, nor any answers, much less any concern was demonstrated from their side about possible outcome of failure to perform their obligationsAll the above left me no ch

This company preyed upon my elderly mother who has dementia She couldn't figure out how to work the system from day one! She also lives in a very safe place Her paranoia was due to onset of dementia When I received durable power of attorney, I called to cancel the account They wouldn't do it without a written letter from her doctor, stating that she had signed a contract! I'm far away, trying to handle my mother's billsI wasn't able to get a letter from her doctor as I had durable but not medical POA! Fast forward months, my mother has been moved into a Memory Care facility I called today to say she's no longer living there and I need to cancel the account First they said that she needs to personally call! I explained she has severe dementia She can't call Now they claim they need proof of POA before cancellation In the meantime, she NEVER USED THE SERVICE She is an elderly woman on a tight, fixed income, and they continue to pull $a month out of her checking account Today I am sending the required documentation, but this is beyond ridiculous It's reprehensible There is a special place in *** for businesses that prey on the unfounded fears of the elderly Shame on you ADT

I changed security services from ADT to another companyOnce I switched and ADT was no longer active, the company failed to notify me my system was disconnectedThis is not good service given a person could break into my house and unplug their systemThe new system was installed around November Since this time ADT has taken $from my credit card monthly, and I called to cancel service on 3/29/because of them not stopping service and advised I am not using service and they are not monitoring itThe agent confirmed

I looked into using ADT for my home security systemWhile the sales representative that I spoke with was very friendly, ADT has several extra hidden fees and were sneaky in how they handled my financesAfter hearing the sales pitch, I said that I wanted to think about it before committing to their productThe sales rep asked for my credit card information to do a "pending" transaction so that my price would be locked at the price we negotiatedI made sure that this charge would not be posted to my bank account, but that it would remain pending until I called back to purchaseThe sales rep confirmed thisHowever, within the next couple days, they had actually charged my accountIt was not a pending transaction at allWhen I called to cancel that charge and get my money back (since I did not ever use their services or products), it took an extensively long phone call with the call being dropped a couple times, numerous transfers to different people, and overall a very large hassleWith not even using their product or services, they were dishonest about the financial aspect and the feesI expect this manner of business would have continued had I actually used their product

I know this will be brushed aside, just like any other large conglomerate in this countryIt seems like large companies like ADT are just worried about the revenue stream than the customerWhich is really sadI have canceled my subscription today after renewing for another years because of a problem with their sales force which is incompetentI called three weeks ago and was quoted a video surveillance system for $and I was specific with my requirements with it being ethernet based cameras and after going back and forth for an hour with the sales team they said we were all set to go with an ethernet based video surveillance systemWhen the tech showed up at my house we started laying out where the camera's where going to be placedHe said they are WiFi cameras and needed a power sourceChecked the sales ticket and sure enough it was WiFi camerasAfter talking to the tech, he said the ethernet setup would cost $to installAfter talking to three managers about this at ADT, they said that they will use this as a training opportunity but will not help me at all with the coast differenceI then canceled my service, called a local company which took over the same equipment ADT had in my house plus had the ethernet based video surveillance system installed at my house for $with cameras and a door bell which also records live videoThis will be the last time I will ever use ADT for anything in the future

I received the attached collection notice in reference to the aforementioned account, dated April 18, 2017, on Friday, April 28,
I am contesting/disputing the balance due - as stated in your correspondence ($578.46); instead, I am offering to pay one-half of the amount stated which would be $ My reasons are as follows:
I had been a loyal ADT customer since 1997, years while residing in ***, *** and the remainder of that period while in ***, North ***
My service at *** *** was canceled in January, 2017, only after I moved and new location did not require continuation of a monitored alar

I am active duty military transferring on ordersADT continued to bill me for service beyond my initial cancellation date of 26MAY
I am active duty military transferring on ordersI called ADT on 26MAYto cancel service at address *** N *** *** *** ** *** (account#XXXXXXXX) due to a military ordered transfer They provided me with cancellation #XXXXXXX and assured it was done and I was "good to go" I as advised ADT does allow cancellation for military members moving on orders ADT proceeded to bill me for June, July, and August I called to resolve the issue on 31Julyand spoke with Alisa - xXXXXXXX She advised I needed to fax my military orders to XXX-XXX-XXXX to include service address, my name, and my phone number Alisa advised I could call back hours following the fax and it would be resolved I did this on 3AUG I ended up speaking with Ray *** He advised the request wasn't "signed" so it was null and I should re-fax a signed versio

Fraudulently added my bank card to EasyPay, charged it after I removed it
I relocated after buying a new homeThis is the second time this company has welcomed themselves to my moneyThey charged me over $to relocateDuring this process I realized that when I called to make the appt, they added my bank card to easypay without my permission or knowledgeI paid what I owed with a credit card and then called to request my bankcard deleted from their systemThe next day, ADT charged my bankcard for $After I'd removed it from their systemI called my bank and marked this charge fraudulent because it's theft at this point

Closing takes days from date of call for closing, resulting is additional charges and loss of refund
Even though the call was made to cancel the service and the information provided in the original call states days for cancellation, the actual process gets stretched out for days from the day of call, resulting in loss of refund or potentially even more billing

This started on 2/11/I was trying to reactive an already existing ADT box in my home that was installed originally in After speaking with a ridiculous amount of people within a three day period they kept insisting on charging me for a new boxI didn't need oneAfter speaking with Corp headquarters I received a call from Ray at number X-XXX-XXX-XXXX apologizing and stating he was sending a tech to activate only for with a charge for feb service of Today 3/11/I was charged when my march bill should only be for serviceI called X-XXX-XXX-XXXX spoke to people all stating on 2/11/I was charged for an install and for equipment where the orginal came fromI said no! not only does those totals not add to but I was only charged reactivation bill plus taxSo why is my 3/11/bill They said we are charging you feb and MarchI paid feb during my reactivationThey arguedI hung up and called man at X-XXX

SOld my home while still in an ADT contractADT will not allow us to break contract without a large even though services are no longer provided
I sold my home back in August and have since been trying to get my ADT services canceled at the addressADT will not allow us to cancel our services without a large fee ensuing unless we can convince the new homeowners to start services as wellAny time we try to call and talk to their Customer Services; however, they provide little to no information on this situationEven though we are no longer able to use services that they are supposed to be providing in our contract we are not able to get our contract cancelled

The balance of my contract was billed with no breakdown and an extra payment was even debitedNo explanation of how it was calculated was given

Alarm keeps going off for the garage door
We had our system updated after years of service We wanted the house, garage, and an additional building in back yard to have up to date system When the new system was set up, we were told the building in the back yard was too far from the monitor to be covered This was not a problem with the old system The garage door alarm has gone off several time since new system was set up A service man was here on Aug2nd or 3rd to replace the device on garage door He only replace the piece on the door and not the piece on the door frame Police have been sent to the house after we have left the house because of the alarm going off This problem has to be fixed Not only do I want the garage alarm fixed but I want the building in the set up on the system I cannot reset the alarm because the system says I have a fault at door I am now missing half a days work

If I could I would give them no stars customer service is rudethey are absolutely no helpwe are relocating and I advised of how dissatisfied I was no one caredthe gave me a date of canceling which is a month out after being transferred times but we were not notified a month out of relocation so I have to pay an extra month and for a month I have three door senorsi went from every month to quarterly with out noticethey are unappreciative of your business and don't careMy alarm goes off and they email meNEVER USE THEMBEWARE

During the storm of *** we had a lot of water damage to the house we were renting in *** and asked ADT to stop servicethe company refused
I was connected to several different people in the ADT department because they said that the only people that was having water damage was the state of *** and refused to turn off service I explain to them that I am renting and the own lived in *** ask us to move, he was not making no more repairswe had to move out and put our belonging in uhaul storagethe company that was handling the property explain that we must remove the Adt alarm when leaving the house so we unplug it because ADT refused and now saying we owe a lot of money This was something out of our control, have pictures and documents of moving in temporary area, yet they still said I broke a contract with themI did not have control over the weather and water that came into the *** area

Installed fire system caused violation of local fire ordinances and future additional expenses
Approximately years ago I had a problem with the existing fire system in my house and wanted to change companies I contacted ADT, who told me they do not service systems they did not install and recommend a wireless fire and burglar systemI agreed and had this installed They left the existing wired smoke detectors in place without telling me this would be a violation of the existing fire code This act of irresponsibility has cost me many hundreds of dollars to rectify, so I can sell my house

ADT is back door scammers...do not sign a contract with them there is lack of communication on all levels of adt...they tell you one thing and then after a day grace period everything comes out permit fee which the tech tells you its covered..they do pay it but they want you to pay them backThen they tell you one price over the phone then when they come out it is a massive difference then what was told over the phoneI am highly disappointed in this company..and do not try to cancel because you will owe the 75% of the balance due...this company does not have to worry I will be letting everyone know that they are frauds

ADT was not up front with other fees.Asked the installer several times if there were other fees and was told there was not.Called ADT and was told "You should have read your contract".I don't know anyone who reads the fine print in a contract.Rep says "sign here" you trust him and sign.Big mistake.Not a good way to do business.Be truthful in representing your product and fees

We had ADT at our business (alarm and cameras)We closed our business in Augustits now November and we are still getting charged monthlyWhen we last called (total of times with employee numbers and confirmation #s) they still have no notesAnd the latest charge we got days ago, said it wasn't in their system and the charge wasnt from them! UnbelievableCan't wait to call again next month
