Obviously beware it is a year contract you are committing to They also sign you up at a low price for monthly service and then corporate jacks that price up over that time period by an average of $bucks a month-$bucks a year Then when you have fulfilled your years and call to cancel they suddenly offer to cut your monthly service fee by $or $bucks a month I found this insulting Huge hassle to actually canccalled in and then they made us send in a letter Then they sent us a notice that rates would be increasing again and they claimed no record of our phone call to cancel or letter received There are better options out there for most homeowners and their needs Stay away from signing on for years with no control over rate increases and then an incredibly difficult cancellation process

I recently moved into a new house and moved my ADT service ADT came out and installed new equipment in my house Even though I did not cancel my service I was charged a $fee I spoke to two different agents yesterday who assured me this was corrected however I am now receiving collections calls from ADT (just received my 2nd one) I have been told with each collection call that I will not be receiving further calls however they continue to call me I don't know how much clearer I can make this: I DID NOT CANCEL MY SERVICE THEREFORE I SHOULD NOT HAVE BEEN CHARGED A CANCELLATION FEE

I have been an Adt customer since with no issues till now On February 23, I received a call stating my system was not sending a signal that I needed to do a check on my system which I did on March 14, The test failed so I called Adt and the operator I spoke with verified that they where not getting a signal The operator also stated to me that they had not been getting a signal since November I asked why was I not contacted about this tell Feb23, She stated that it showed that a call was attempted to me in November but failed and not tried again until Feb23, I stated to her that my phone number has not changed for the pass years and that phone number was the one they reach me on Feb23, I also asked why an E-Mail was not sent out also She said she didn't understand it either and she was sorry about that I said that I should be refunded that money for the months that they were not monitoring my home I was told first to have

I called the regular ADT hotline and a man by the name of Carlos took my personal information and told me he would have to run a credit check in order to provide a quote for a home security system I told him that I did not want a credit check run and that the advertisement on ADT website indicates no such thing for obtaining a free quote He then went on to tell me that no one was available to give me a quote and that he has to send someone to my home I told him that I am not interested in that and that ADT lost my business, upon hanging up with him I called back and spoke to a Scott in supoort who told me he can have my information removed from their database but cannot send me any type of confirmation that the information was removed When I asked to speak to his manager he transferred me to sales where another rep told me no manager is available

I am write this review of this company for being deceptive pricing of this their servicesI was told that their service will cost $dollars a month, and it became nearly $a monthThey told me in person that the equipment was going to cost $In the fine print, it became payment of $totaling $By doing so, this company is raising costs by hiding it in small detailsOnce you realize you see the next payment, and call the company, you are over the ability to return equipment forcing you to pay costs that you had no ability to adjust cost and decided if the costs was really neededA person getting a service needs to total clearly the costs being charge to them, and not hidden in fine print

We called ADT on 9/3/to cancel our service due to the sale of our home and was informed that we do not owe anything & instead have a 400$ credit

The BBC is as big a scam as ADT Security isnegative reviews yet they have an A+ rating because ADT pays an annual fee for a ratingThe *** that sold my alarm system to me stated over and over again how it was a YEAR CONTRACT at the end of which I would own the equipmentThey keep raising my rates and when I called to cancel I discovered that I actually have a year contractLying, thieving ***sI will cancel on Oct7th and that will be the last of my money that I'll allow ADT to steal from meCon Artists and ***!!!!!

We have called times to cancel our service and they will not allow us to do so They say they will refer our account to collections if we cancel
My husband and I have called four times to cancel our service We are getting new home security service with comcast and no longer require home security with ADT They say we cannot cancel without a PIN number which we don't know When we ask to speak to a supervisor they say none is available They've said they will send our PIN number in the mail and have not done so (after two weeks)
