I was with ADT for yearsDuring this time they raised my rate times going from $44.16/month all the way to $to monitor two doors, two motions and a fire detectorAfter the last rate hike I decided to find other monitoring service for my system and found a great new option at $32/monthI forgot to call ADT immediately to cancel my services and did not think about it again until I saw a new $monthly charge on my credit card on April 4thHowever, when I called to cancel my services with ADT not only would they not refund me the prorated amount for my April bill they informed me that my contract required days notice to cancel so they would actually be charging my credit card one last time in May for an Additional $which they would refund me the prorated portion of after my contract officially ends on May 14th The costumer service rep was extremely rude and gave me a hard time for not being up on the fine print of a contract I had signed over years agoSo if you are thinking of signing on with ADT be prepared to see regular rate hikes and for them to stick it to you on the way outHard to figure out how they are still the number one provider of home securityWith these types of moves there has got to be a couple of companies ready to provide better customer service at a lower rate in order to take them out

The ADT service represenitive misrepresented himself and ADTLeading me to believe I was signing a two year contract, for that was what I requested and he said the he could do thatFurthermore, ADT has slammed me with monitoring service and smoke alarm deviceI bought my smoke detector prior to ADTCharging for a service that I explained to the sales repI did not need or wantMy home is and has been hard wired into the system that too I explained to the repBasically ADT was ripping me offI was first aware approximately Oct- Nov2016.I did make my concerns known to ADTI have since discontinue their service as it was a breach of consent

Complaints unresolved
After making several attempts since Decto ADT to resolve my issues with camera installation, it has become a downward snowball of incorporation from the companyPromise return calls or any type of follow ups never happenedEven after so, I made several more calls and talk to complaint depart and still nothingSo after more attempts I finally was able to reach a 2nd level complaint depart and Carla was so rude and loudShe said *** would call me back, but still no responseI called the 1st level complaint rep.- Terrie and she finally followed through with the cancellation and said " are you serious that you going to cancel ", I replied "Yes"She then said " well you have my name and I guess you are going to social media about this?" I referred someone to ADT and they placed all my information including my credit card onto their account and their information and credit card onto my account Have called and dealt with numerous people that promised it was fixed just to log in a couple days later to have the same issue The most they could do for giving out my credit card information is one month free Horrible customer service Will never refer them again!

This was the letter I sent to ADT and that they received on 7/30/as of 8/30/I have not received a response:
Your system was partially installed on April 17, and has never been completed even after text to the installer and two phone calls to XXX XXX-XXXX that were never returned Clearly this is not as represented Therefore I wish to cancel our agreement If you cannot even complete the installation or respond to my repeated attempts for attention to this, how in the world can you protect my house?

Adt customer service has refused to return my calls,and everytime I called wanted more money and new contract
On March I signed a contract with Adt for years.I explained that I lived in unit of the same property and that unit was under construction where I will be movingin couple of months.the sales associate agreed that I would get free move and free camara once I get moved to unit in the same building.I had equipment installed at the residence unit once the unit 3was done I called to move my services.the new associate told me on Sept over the phone that I need to pay $for a move and that I will not get the camera for free.I asked if he could have a manager call me to verify with recorded phone call that I was promised the free move and he said that someone will call me in next buisness dayI called back on Sep only to find out that no such thing was written in my report and that my sistem was in unit 3.I explained it was in unit The lady ov

I have cancelled my service on December 28, and received a letter from a collection agency for $for January 28, services
I cancelled my services on account XXXXXXXX at property address *** *** *** ***, ** via fax and email on December 28, I spoke with the representative Megan in the Loyalty Dept of ADT and was told that I had until January to cancel my services and instead I cancelled in writing on December 28, and faxed my signed cancellation letter and sent it via emailI received a collection letter from *** *** International on March 6, requesting $ I am outraged that ADT security has submitted a bill to a collection agency I should not be penalized for cancelling my services and my credit should not be affected Please correct this to a zero balance

DON'T USE ADT! IF YOU SELL YOU HOUSE YOUR CONTRACT KEEPS GOING ON SERVICES THAT THERE NOT PROVIDING

My contract with the ADT Security Systems company ended in April of I have tried everything from phone calls, letters, to emails to end this business relationship.I was told that I needed to provide a "security code" to stop the billing cycleI informed all ADT employees that I am going through a divorce and cannot get into the home to retrieve the contract and "the code"ADT told me that they would send the"code" to me via mail which did not happenI gave them my new mailing address several timesThe system has not been in the "service address" in over a yearThe ADT subcontractor told me I could take the system with me if I moved which turned out to be falseA "corporate representative visited my new residence and said the ADT subcontractor was incorrect about moving the system

February I asked for my ADT service to be disc I was offered a discounted rate to stay and the rate was never honored I called back in March
asked that my service be disc and billing be stopped immediately Payment was drafted from my account again in April Requesting my service to be disc and billing be credited back to Feb a month

canceled my ADT Service
adt services was canceled july 27, 2018, aug,ADT withdrew $from my bank account after telling me I had a balance and my account has been canceled with ADTwhen I called to get a refund of the $*** employee number *** refused my refund stating there was a clause in the contract stating cancellations take day to processi am under no contract at all considering my contract was fully filled in and has service on a month to month basis with no contracthe also refuse to give me names and numbers of those in charge so that I could file a formal complaint with them

BAD SERVICE AND REQUESTED CANCELLATION OF OLD ADDRESS AT TIME SERVICE INSTALLED FOR NEW ADDRESS; WAS NOT CANCELLED UNTIL MONTHS LATER, BUT NO REFUND
AT THE END OF 2015, HAD TECHNICIAN COME OUT TO INSTALL SENSOR ON FRONT DOOR BECAUSE WE HAD REPLACED DOOR AND FRAMETECHNICIAN OFFERED TO PUT SENSORS ON MASTER BEDROOM WINDOWS FOR FREECOULD NOT ARM ALARM WITHOUT BYPASSING BECAUSE TECHNICIAN ONLY PUT OF PART SENSOR ON WINDOWSCALLED ADT CUSTOMER SUPPORT AND TOLD THAT THEY COULD NOT SCHEDULE TO HAVE TECHNICIAN COME OUT AND THAT SOMEONE WILL CALL IN WEEKS TO SET APPOINTMENTAPPARENTLY, CUSTOMER SUPPORT IS AN OVERPAID ANSWERING SERVICESOMEONE CALLED AFTER WEEKS, BUT I DID NOT SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENTABOUT TO SELL HOME AND ADVISED BY REALTOR TO LET NEW HOMEOWNER DEAL WITH ISSUE MOVED ON 3/29/WORKED WITH TORI TOSSES AT SAFE HAVEN SECURITIES WHO ASSISTS MY REALTOR'S CLIENTS TO SET UP ADT SERVICE AT NEW ADDRESSWAS TOLD THAT I COULD NOT CANCEL SERVICE AT MY OLD ADDRESS UNT

I had ADT servers for years at a house located at *** Lothian MD Unknown to me, me system stop reporting sometime in ADT NEVER notified my the system could not be contacted Going in for a routine check revealed alarms going offWiring had failed in my phone system so the system could not contact ADTI cancel my phone service, I contacted ADT and canceled my service I later spoke with someone on the phone at ADT whom told me my written notification was not enough and she sent me a form which I returned During this entire time ADT continued to bill me for services even though they could not provide the services Now they which to collect a sum of but when I canceled it was the beginning of a service period and I owed nothingThey have fraudulent practices and failure to notify customers when there are issues in their connections to systems

I received a Voucher for the Home Security system ,with 15pre-wired door or window sensors &$*** gift card for only $ ($850) valueThe total price would be $I was given a Ref# and the next day the tech from ADT placed equipment in my home and told me to sign his table stating he could not activate the system until I signedHe left a packet saying if we needed help it would be in the packetOn Monday I was going over my Account and found $, drafted from my account the following day $&the next day $ I did not give permission for last two withdrawals I immediately contacted ADT and I was told I must of ordered an upgrade which I assured I did not She informed me that the $was one payment of the (EXTRA EQUIPMENT )I IMFORMED TO COME GET THAT EQUIPMENT ASAP I did not order and the Tech at no time mentioned this to me or my husband I was informed that I would have to sign a form for the removal and pay a 75% chargeI refus

Misleading advertising and deceptive business practices! Possibly the dealer is the one at fault, however if this dealer is representing ADT, then ADT is still at fault for allowing it My mother was lured by the misleading advertising of $per month monitoring, then after spending $on equipment and being charged $per month we are told it is because we had wireless installed rather than landline which the installer never told us would cost more Had another technician come out to downgrade to landline and immediately he tried to convince us otherwise, then when we insisted we wanted landline connection he said he couldn't do it without moving the keypad from the back door to nearest landline phone three rooms into the house, which is unacceptable Still waiting for the $rebate gift card certificate, and upon calling to complain discovered there will also be $activation fee placed on that, which we were also not told about Beware of what the visiting technician tells you during the first visit!!!

I would like to cancel my account I don't have a contract It expired I have been asking them to cancel my account since December I sent a letter in January - no response I called and asked to cancel They either say call back tomorrow or transfer my call to second person or they hang up on mePlease cancel my account

We are moving and I called to end my service and they are saying I have to pay $to pay off the end of our contractThis service can not be transferred to our new location I was put on hold and transferred to many different people Such unscrupulous contractsDo not do business with this companyThey are the crooks!

I have repeatedly ask the company to come out and fix there equipment they have refused for months but wish me to pay my bill for those months
Last spring my system for security stopped workingI am blind and can not figure out what they are talking about when I called to ask for helpI asked them to come out and fix itThey refused toI paid the bill and monthly called them because the system did not workIn August three months later I stopped paying the bill and they still refused to fix the systemIn Dec, they said if I paid the bill they would fix the system, I refused to pay, they told them to set up an appt for Tuesday, they refused to show upNow they are demanding I pay over $before they will come out and fix the system

Dear ADT,
After trying to force your way into my house times to "see what equipment and security I have", you told me that my neighborhood is "highly unsafe", it is FREE (nothing is EVER free), "no one has ever turned down this service", and that, as the "man of the house", my wife will hold me "personally responsible" when she is hurt and our house is robbedI asked you for a business card: you didn't have oneWhen I asked you to leave and said that we have a policeman in the family advising our security concerns, you told me the police don't know anything about home security systems
A little googling reveals that this is typical of how you do businessScare tactics and aggressive marketing
I will choose anyone but you

We are not the owners of the apartment which makes it illegal
They said they would disconnected free of charge, they lied(We spoke to them late November 3)
