I was automatically renewed for their service without my authorization so when I call too find out why I got a bill they said that I had to cancel before the renewal dateI told them I was not on any contract and the person at ADT said I was, so I asked for a copy to be mailed or emailed to meI received nothing.The bill was from June 7, to June 6, I called on July The bill was for $but was pro rated to $for the time usedOn October 19, I got a call from a collection agency asking for the $paymentI explained I was waiting to hear back from ADT on my contract, but they were not interested in hearing any excuses just wanted me to pay or they will effect my credit report.I then called ADT to find out about the contract they said I had, was put on hold for a few minutes and the person I spoke with said she could not find any contract I had with them but it didn't matter because I still owed the money and if I don't pay it, they or the collect

The service doesn't work It rarely ever works Our car got broken in to this morning with a camera facing the car
We have called numerous times The services is beyond horrible, it just doesn't work We have spent time calling and are expected to spend more time waiting for a service tech The customer service people are rude and unhelpful The automatic billing doesn't even work Customer service has told us that we can not get out of our contract This is quite possibly the worst service provider that I have ever dealt with The time, energy, money and emotion that I have spent paying for a service that doesn't work is unreasonable and unacceptable

My father passed away Dec 9th 2016, I called ADT to shut off services on Dec 15th At the time we did not have the Death certificate, but we did have the notice of death from the County of *** *** Office of the medical examiners officeWhen I spoke with the woman she gave me an address to mail the notice toThe following day I mailed that letter out as instructedMonths go by, we are still receiving billsMay 8th, I call ADT to find out why, after being passed around I finally get someone to tell me that on Dec 15th the agent only removed my fathers automatic bill pay, she did not shut off servicesSomehow, they allow me to remove my fathers automatic bill pay even though I am not on his account, but do not turn off the account? ADT falsely charged me monthly fees and cancellation fees after completing a moveThey then refunded the monthly fees into the wrong account

When we bought our home in 2016, there was an ADT system already installed so we used it for a few months and then let the contract run out in the previous owners names and did nothing when it ended
September I get a letter in the mail from ADT saying we can reinstate our service for only $a month since we already have the equipmentAwesome! I called ADT, customer service rep was very friendly and nice I told him about the letter I received and the dealGreat, a tech would come out and set me upNot one word from the rep about any other charges
Tech comes out, checks out our house, windows and doors, (it's just me at home, my husband isn't present) and then tells me all the things they need to do to upgrade the system (not one mention of cost still)But we will get all the extras for no charge (carbon monoxide detector, camera, app, key fobs,) and we get a discount for being a first responder family! WrongHe proceeds to do the "upgrade" and tells me it's $Not one mention of this from the person on the phone before hand even though he knew everything I had/didn't haveSo while I'm mad, we want the protection as I am home alone, at night, 4-nights a week with a babyStill thinking the monthly charge is $so no big deal
Bill comes$monthly monitoringI call and proceed to talk to several very RUDE, not helpful customer service repsTelling me I signed a contract there is nothing they can doNo sympathy, mean, uncaring people while I am crying on the phoneOne person finally tells me the $payment is only for people with a landline phoneFIRST TIME I HAVE HEARD THISWas never told to me initially, was not in the letter I received, tech didn't tell me at my house WHEN I ASKED HIMI even told him we didn't want the extras mentioned above and he said it wouldn't cost us any more it was all includedOne rep finally says they can take my bill down to $a month by removing the camera and use of the app and that's the lowest it can beTelling me I selected all of the highest upgrades when the tech told me it was included and I asked him if he could lower the price at allI signed a three year contract so now I am stuck dealing with thisI've already had someone come out twice now in months because the alarm or sensors weren't workingAnd they contract you through an "authorized dealer" so you have to deal with a third partyHorrible company, scammers, liars, and thievesNot an ounce of care or customer serviceI could go on and on but this is enoughDO NOT USE ADT

ADT cancelled a service appointment without informing me, then rescheduled another appointment without asking or informing me
I scheduled a service appointment with ADT for August 3, The technician never called nor arrived, so I called the company The ADT representative informed me that my appointment was cancelled and rescheduled for August I was never informed that my appointment was cancelled, nor was I asked about rescheduling for a later date I informed the representative that I was unavailable on the 23rd; nonetheless, I still received a confirmation call, for service on August 22nd

Late August 2017, I had Impulse Alarm, an ADT Authorized Dealer, visit my house to talk to me about placing an alarm system in the residence I live inAfter contacting ADT to verify Impulse Alarms qualifications, I agreed and signed their contractOne of the reasons I signed on was that ADT was adding the Ring doorbell system with the alarm setup at no extra charge*** ** from Impulse assured me that the system plus the Ring doorbell would be up and running in less than weeksWell, I'm still waitingI have tried several times to contact *** and his boss *** and they do not return my phone callsADT has also given me the the runaround, even though I pay my bill on timeThe best thing about my system, is that the key pad works great as a night light

I Had ADT for eight years, paid my bill faithfully without ever being lateOn 06/19/we had a house fire, we activated the alarm so that they would call the fire department or the police, they never didWhen the insurance investigator asked for an event log, they informed me that they had not received a signal from my alarm in monthsThey told me that it was my responsibility to monitor my alarm and to make sure that it was sending the signal to them and here I was thinking that I was paying a monthly monitoring fee so that they can monitor my alarm and they claim no responsibility for this mistakeThey lost my signal but apparently not my account since they sent me the bill every month without fail, they took my money and did nothing to earn itI cancelled my account and they refused to reimburse me for the months that I paid and that they failed to provide the service for which they were paidNever again would I do business with them or recommend them to anyoneWhen our lives depended on them, they were not there to protect us, as they claim in their advertisings

Misleading and dishonest about account movement and fees
I was moving from my location that had adt to my boyfriend'sSince he was getting upgrades as well, Andrew, the sales rep told us that we would be transferring and I wouldn't get charged anything, including a early cancellation feeAfter moving, I broke up with my boyfriend and was told I was off the accountnobody told me I owed ADT and now it went to collections and ruined my credit because of this "good ole boys club" that my ex and this Andrew created

We canceled our ADT service within in the day window and days later ADT charged another $unauthorized!

Ring Door Bell video recording I was not told that I would have to subscribe for video recordingI was told it was included in ADT monthly bill

ADVERTISING #company that will mislead you and scam you! I signed up for ADT in August of for a year contractI am not the owner of the houseI have never been on the mortgage or the loan for the house, but I was the one paying their servicesIn October 2016, I was cheated on by my fiance I shared the house with so I moved outHe does not use the systemAs mentioned before, I am not an owner of the house and am not nor have I ever had my name on the loan or mortgage for the house so I don't understand how they can hold me accountable for a contract that does not tie my name to anything in relation to the houseI have tried to contact them several times and they will lower the price of the contract I have to pay out and I have mentioned that I am not the homeowner and how I should have never even been allowed to sign, and they just ignore the question and give me a lower price to buy out the contract

Service cancelation
When I first signed up for adt I spoke to an agent from this company and they told me that we would be able to move our service for free or break our contact if we moved to a place where the service couldn't be offeredI have then moved and they are now trying to charge me the remainder of the contactI have spoke to endless amounts of people from this company and this is not rightThey are not promising what they advertisedStay far away from their servicesI called in spoke to their cancellation department they said everything was okay and asked me to fax them a letterI did that and they still charged me the remainder of my contract It seems like they just like making those promises to get off the phone

Scan company that takes advantage of the elderlyThey advertised monthly but once they have your credit card will charge monthly and will never cancel your service no matter how many times you call to request it doneThey will hang up on you repeatedly in the long processTotally irresponsible company with no ethics

Terrible company! Horrible customer service! Back in April of I called to get a home security system installed in my home which I was moving into in June of I explained to the sales rep the layout of my house and how many windows and doors would require a sensor to get the best protection for my homeHe advised me that he would be happy to put in the order, and I picked an install dateOn June 11th the installation tech came to my house without all the equipment agreed on in AprilWhen I asked him about it he advised me that the sales rep had put in an order for a system upgrade and used the info from the existing system which was owned by the previous owners, and did not put in the order as a new customerI was rather surprised by this and said that I would follow up with the sales repThe sales rep, *** called me that same day and apologized for HIS error and proceed to tell me that if I wanted the equipment originally agreed upon with my year commitment then I would need to pay an additional $
On June 15th, four days after the install of the equipment I called to cancel and have the equipment removedAs I was within my day buyers remorse period this should not have been a problemI spoke to someone who confirmed that the order for the cancellation was put through and I would receive a call within hours from the installations department to schedule a date for the tech to come in and remove the equipment
On June 17th, days after the cancellation I called back and spoke to *** who advised me that the cancellation order had not been "approved" but that it would be cancelled as requestedI requested to speak to a supervisor who further confirmed that the cancellation request had been ordered, and then he put me through to installations to set a date to have the equipment removed
On June 23rd, I had a tech come in and remove the equipment, and on the same day I received a bill for months of invoicing!!! When I called the billing department they advised me that an order for a cancellation had NOT been put through! calls and an abundance of time wasted, and not one person had done their job but promised me on several occasions that they had!
On June 24th, I spoke to someone in cancellations who confirmed that an order for cancelling had not been put through, and that he would take care of itI called him at 9:am and as of 9:am all I've received is poor customer service, reps that will tell you anything to get you off the phone, and I am now waiting for yet another phone call from their Sales Department because apparently this is a process to cancel your service!
This has been by far the worst experience I've ever had with any company, and I highly suggest that nobody goes to them for their home security needsThere are 100% better companies out there!!!

ADT is NOT following up on my complaint after two phone calls to remove the Camera installed 5/
I reinstated my ADT system on 5/ There is nothing in my contract that states we had days to cancel It does states, however we have months to cancel installation In speaking to Brandi Davis on the 5/she said we cant cancel and would have to pay $1600- it wasn't a full week Prior to speaking w/ Brandi I spoke with a gentlemen from the tech department to see if I was missing some much needed features that would make this camera install more appeasing I was informed by Ms*** that someone would call me but that has yet to happen I feel as though Im being ignored because I DO NOT WANT THEIR CAMERA SECURITY SERVICEIf they can produce a fully executed contract which shows we agreed to or was informed about a day cancellation then fineIF not, I want this equipment off and my $$$ back
