ADT has the most horrible customer service I called July to cancel my services was told everything was entered and good to go I called back August 3, to provide my new address to receive my final bill which I wanted and expected to pay The rep at that time stated my services where not canceled and said she would help me with that; asked for my new address and proceeded to share I had a cancelation fee I asked what that fee was? She stated I was hoping you didn't ask she shared what the fee was and I was confused as since never had any upgrades I explained that in November a ADT tech came to home, but it was due to letters ADT kept sending stating our system needed upgrading due to 3G requirements and our system was obsolete stamped with urgent After receiving the third letter decided to call and they confirmed yes my system needed updating I asked at that point if I would be paying anything and they stated no The ADT tech was literally in and out in under mins inserted something in our wall unit and said we were updated and now could use the APP they had, plus stated I can give you a camera for freeI stated I didn't want anything to change just wanted to ensure our system worked for the security of my family He said ok had me sign paper of the system being good NOW they tell me I was upgraded and when I signed it was a month contract hence I have to pay a $cancelation fee I could've easily just transferred the service but feel in principal can not do business with a company that deceived me and now all they say is you have a contract The root of issue is the only reason they set foot on my house was due to letters stating my system would not work properly and not be supported That seems to me as just a fix and not a reason to secretly sign me up for a month contract I will never do business with ADT again Since August 3rd I have been waiting for a call back from a manager and nothing I called August 5, to only speak with a Ms*** and in all honesty ADT could save money just hiring parrots since all she could say is you have a contract up to five times Again, not listening to a good paying customer since She gave me the same run around a manager will call you back It is August 8, and have not heard from anyone

Promised rates from initial contract and set up a new contract in a different city where new contract details were not disclosed properly by sales rep

ADT failed to refund $canadin dolars from prepaid service
I received a credit invoice from ADT Security Services Canada , INC XXX-XXth *** *** *** *** *** 6**
The invoice gives details about Contract Changes Refund fee from Jan to Feb

Two calls were made to ADT head and I was told the value was to be credited to the credit card listed in the contrat weeks after the call was placed
The due date for the refund was Feb and no amount was refunded

Do not get involved with ADT you will regret it and they will have all your money for horrible service and junk product
Their system has not functioned since install a year ago and we have been charged and overcharged and charged again to get out of their criminal contract
Stay away from ADT

ADT is one of the worst large companies that has gotten away with unethical business practices for years but it apparently is coming to an end if the class action suits, five so far, continue they will go out of businessIn California alone they had to pay $950,for their go to market strategy and the "never let the customer go" approach which is ruining them and it's about timeHow can one have reviews of which are negative and the Revdex.com rating is an A+ something isn't right here

ADT security monitoring had issues with the service; and was not working at my residential address for months (November through September 2015), and yet ADT kept collecting bill payments every month, until I realized the problemWhen complained the issue with ADT help desk representative, after initial denials agreed to test the connection; and once she realized that it was not working, she agreed to send a technician to investigate
When the technician arrived a week later, he found that the service pinged with ADT servers successfully was way back in November of The technician recommended to upgrade the service to ?cell guard? in order to fix the issue as well as to avoid such problems in the futureFinally around October 15, 2015, my ADT service was restored
As for the months of payment adjustment, the Help desk manager I spoke to could adjust for two months; and for the remaining months, I was requested to send a FAX to the corporate officeI submitted a

The new ADT app Pulse is a complete failureIt hasn't been operational for over hours leaving many security systems only operable in person - stranding vacationers and mobile operators from their systems
This has to be one of the worst roll outs of a new app ever
ADT has to get it right before they put out an update especially with a security service appPeople rely on this and it can leave thousands of homes and businesses vulnerable

ADT has on numerous occasions billed me erroneously

I wish you didn't have to give a star When I signed up for my security system I was told if I moved the equipment would stay with home and they would put new equipment in new home Well what they decided not to say was that i'd be charged a moving charge and then have to pay for new equipment or i'd have to pay an absurd amount of money to cancel my contractSo, I went with very basic service so I didn't have to pay the cancellation fee Then I got married, moved in with my husband and yet again they want to charge me a lot for new equipment and now i'm being charged $to cancel my contract
This is such a scam!!! Companies should not be able to do this to people Shame on you for taking advantage of people like this

I will never recommend ADT to anyone! worse service everThey contract a third party to install and tell you lies
I got my initial service in August and had to move in December, I relocate the service and specifically made sure they don't renew my contract
all was good until the tech made me sign the document where it said that I will start * new contract
I asked him and his response was : this is to certify that I installed the alarm at the new place, and that nothing changed

Very poor customer service
I was sent a notice that I needed to update my system so I called and made an appointmentOnly for the tech to show up late and say he doesn't have what he needs to do the jobI had lost a day for nothingMe and the tech went over my order called got a price and I was told he would see me on Friday 08-19-at 12pmI asked if it was ok for my son to be home when the work is started and I would be home soon after to signThe tech said it would be fineAnother tech showed up XXXXXX he called and I told him I would be home soon he could start my 30yr son was homeThe tech called me back in five mins to say he was leaving I had to rescheduleThe price changed from $To $what I was told the Saturday beforeI called customer service to explain what happen and was told the sameI have been with ADT since They gave me there but to kiss today and let me know they didn't trust me at allThey wanted me to sign the contract before they started

Contract Conceiling Breakdown of Charges
I have signed a contract with ADT on August 15, I recently realized that ADT were charging me for Quality Service Plan as part of the Security Monthly Fees without providing breakdown of the charges What ADT have done was conceiling the breakdown of the different charges Only on August 8, when I realized during a phone call with an ADT representative that the Quality Service Plan was separate charge of $which is lumped into the Monthly Service Fee, I have requested to cancel such a service
When I talked to ADT on August 18, 2016, Mr John *** ADT Corporate Customer Relations Advocat, his only argument was that I have signed a contract which includes the Qaulity Service Plan within the $Monthly Service Fee, and refused to offer me refund for the charges I have incurred on the Quality Service Plan
I have major reservations on the argument provide by ADT The $indicated in the Contract (Section 2) is for

Extremely poor service! Our ADT system, installed in 2016, never worked properly (continual alarms, despite repeated service calls)As a consequence, we decided to never arm the system, and tried to cancelI was extremely rudely advised by a "supervisor" that I could not cancel the service before years, without incurring an enormous penalty
When I called ADT again last month (July, 2018), I was advised that I could cancel with a reasonable penaltyI was also advised that they would continue the service for years at approximately a 60% discount from my $55/month chargeOf course I elected to cancel the service, as the penalty was less than the aggregate cost of continuing
When the service was discontinued (today), the control box started "beeping." I called ADT to ask how to stop this unwanted noise, and was given instructions a) to remove the battery, and, when that did not stop the "beeping," b) to disconnect the transformer, which I could not locate
I then requested a service call to disconnect the system, and was told that ADT will NOT make a service call to disconnect the system
Having removed the cover of the control box, I noted that there appeared to be a plastic horn-like deviceI asked the agent if by cutting the wires to that device this would disable the "beeping." He replied that it wouldI did cut the wires and that did stop the beeping
However, this dis not stop powering the control box, which remains active, though no longer connected to the ADT monitoring system
In my opinion, ADT is irresponsible, untrustworthy and I will advise all of my friends and associates of my poor experience with the company

Can't cancel and can't continue servicr
I moved from my residence after having to sell due to personal reasonsADT would not let me cancelThey said I had to pay nearly $or start a new contractI live in an apartment and cannot have an alarmThey went on a scripted spiel about burglaries and crime and how I needed their services to stay safe but the only criminals are ADT! I can't have the service otherwise I would keep paying themAnd I'm not paying for a service I cannot use!

Deceived by ADT vendor
I'm an engineer and a foreignerSo when I came to the USA to study, I rented a houseIt was me offered the service of ADTAs I did not know the English language very well, I asked what the payment was likeI was informed that I would pay the first months, I would leave a security deposit of dollars and after months I would pay month to MonthSo, I did that
When I tried to cancel the contract after year, because I'll need to return abroad, it was told me that the contract was years udring and that the fine was more than dollars
This is absurd, because a foreigner with a rented house would never make a year contract, because nothing was ever given to me and the house was already ready(installation)
Clearly I was deceived by not knowing a contract in the English language
I request intervention to proceed with the cancellation and use my security deposit to pay this last month that has not even won the invoice

Misleading product information
I have been a customer of ADT for quite sometime On Feb 10, I called ADT to inquire about updating my control panel I spoke with a representative by the name of Jonathan in Boca Raton Fl I explained to him I was inquiring about an upgrade for my control panel I was interested in the touch screen color panel Jonathan told me about a panel which I can move an place it any where I wanted to I told him that's the panel I wantedHe stated he check the system and that panel would work with the system I haveHe set up the work order for the panel plus a bracket with he said costs $and install fee of $and sent it to meThe install was support to take place tomorrowToday, 2/16/I called back in with some questions One of my questions was asking if the new panel came with new key fobs The rep could not answer that question and had to transfer me to another rep Upon speaking to that rep, it was discovered that the work order w

My mother *** *** has been with ADT over four yearsDue to problem with air conditioning we found out that ADT did not install wiring for their system according to codeIn order to get new air conditioning to code ADT needed to move their wiring that was installed improperlythe ADT system quit working and we called them to come and fix it and they said it would be over a week before they could come to fix itMy mom is a heart patient who has life linethey had record of this and I explained the necessity of it needing to be fixed immediatelyThey said they would charge $an hour because of after hoursThey said we were to blame for the problem installationI have pictures to show incorrect installation that show why I feel they are responsible for the outageThe air conditioning workers agree with me and were shocked by such poor installationthe city also came out and said it was a fire hazardBe
