I just received an update from our District Leader as our General Manager was going to reach out to this customer but due to some circumstances he has not been at work. He has just returned and I have been informed that our GM will be sending our customer an email today to offer either an AGM
battery or his money back

The first time I walked into Advance Auto Parts 2909 Sheridan drive on 7/12/18 a gentleman was taking care of me however a female employee decided to speed things up, as I told him what I was looking for and she went for the part and brought it to the counter in less that 30 seconds. The gentleman then spent about 2 minutes looking it up on the computer and verified it was the CORRECT part! I was so impressed by her when I returned the following day 7/13/18 I walked right past the guys all waiting at the counter and I told them I wanted G G to help me. I told them that was short for good guesser. This time I was very impressed by your ability to grasp what I was looking for and how much! She always maintains a professional attitude and shows she is paying attention to your concern! Therefore I only have good things to say about this employee at this store!

Our Credit Team has advised that Ms. [redacted] should receive a call tomorrow 4/19/2017 with a resolution. On behalf of the Revdex.com you have asked me to provide a clarification.   I don't understand what needs to be clarified.  My complaint reported an incident ...  an incident whereby I went to Advance Auto Parts in response to an advertised special, and the manager of the store informed me...

that the special does not in fact exist, that it never has in fact existed other than in the advertisement, and it never will exist.  The manager said he was not authorized to offer substitutions, and he proceed to suggest an alternative product that was significantly more expensive.  When I expressed dismay, the manager said he also regretted the situation, but that such is the policy and practices of Advance Auto Parts.  The manager was polite.    Frankly, this was not the first time that I had been to Advance Auto Parts and discovered that a product in an advertised special was not available and no substitution was allowed, nor a rain check if I were inclined to wait and make a return trip.  As far as resolution . . .   the only thing I request is that Advance Auto Parts make an apology to its customers in the same manner and media that it posts these false advertisement, and promise to change their practices.   I'm not seeking any reward nor do I have an interest in being bought off to withdraw or change my complaint.The Revdex.com can serve the consumer public by posting this complaint an a report from a customer as a warning to future customers concerning advertised specials by Advance Auto Parts.Thanks.[redacted]

Unfortunately, our corporate office also attempted to research a...

proof of purchase for our customer’s battery and was unable to locate a proof of purchase under the customer’s name or phone number.  We searched multiple stores in his area, based on the zip code provided.  Please have our customer provide the general location where the battery was purchased, so that we may attempt to research further.  If possible, please clarify if the purchase could have been made under any other name or phone number. 
 
Please have our customer provide a copy of the new replacement battery receipt.  Once we have received the requested information, we will be happy to respond with a resolution.

Advance Auto Parts provided me with instructions on how to take off the AVS visors for ones that go on the outside of the window, while mine are the ones that go inside the window seal.
