Initial Business Response /* (1000, 8, 2016/02/12) */
No Deposit was taken.
Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 10, 2016/02/15) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
A $50 deposit was taken from my boyfriend's card more than a week prior to the...

first appointment which we can prove with bank statements. He was assured it'd be returned due to your performance.
Final Consumer Response /* (3000, 14, 2016/02/18) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
Like I've said, a $50 deposit was taken from our bank account using my boyfriend's card when he booked. We were assured by the person who told us the workers didn't show that he saw the deposit aND it would be returned to the card the next day. How can you say a deposit wasn't taken workout even asking me the name of the person who paid it? At this point I'm aiming this is your practice based upon reviews an we won't see that money again because you're not even attempting to research or make it right.
Final Business Response /* (4000, 12, 2016/02/18) */
A deposit was not collected on this move.

Complaint: [redacted]I am rejecting this response because:

They are being dishonest about what they told us and what they claim they told us. They NEVER informed us of any OT or increased rate in neither of our telephone conversations prior to hiring. In fact, the actual agreement has the agreed upon hourly rate "typed" in it, not once BUT TWICE. The "OT" rate was left blank which confirms it was not discussed nor disclose at any time prior to or during the completion of service. It was added after the fact.  They also maintained that Oregon State Wage  law required the payment of OT to employees after 8 hours of work which is not true. If they are required to pay their employees OT after eight hours as a requirement of some other, that costs is not required to be shifted to the consumer, especially when not disclosed in the contracting phase.

We have made a counter offer to settle.

It has become apparent that this company does have many problems with customers, but we would like to resolve this and move on.Sincerely,[redacted]

Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 7, 2015/08/11) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
I attempted their customer care team and...

was given inaccurate contact details for further follow up. I have received no communication since speaking with who I was told was the owner. I can only assume given the lack of follow up that they are not intending to solve the problem properly which is why this route has been taken.

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.1) Buisness did not respond to the central complaint. The third person was incompetent. I was told by Jacob that he is no longer employed by the company. He gave me this info as if it would resolve my complaint with the company. It doesn't.  If he isn't able to do the work now,  it's clear that he wasn't able to at the time of our move either. 2) staff was extremely rude and unreasonable. Conflict resolution on the customers dime is insane.  This is also apparent in their response: you don't need a special tool to take ikea furniture apart. You need a tool box. They did not bring one.3) I am not convinced that [redacted] is a separate entity. I saw a job posting online that was posted by [redacted] but for an All My Sons position. Either way, Jacob refused to put me in contact with his supervisor, or anyone else in the company. 4) they tried to charge me for two extra hours based on an estimate from the movers. Had I not refused, I am positive they would have dragged the move out until the first end time estimate. They said it would take until 5 pm to finish and they started at ten am.  We moved out of a small two bedroom with no large furniture or appliances. the move was approx. 3 minute drive between apartments.
Regards,
[redacted]

I have moved many times, within town and across the united States. I have dealt with many movers, and by far this company is the Worse!!!! It began by the promises made by a rep stating two men would be sufficient to move my two bedroom apartment, which I told him was on the third floor, and that I was moving into a three bedroom condo on the seventh floor. He told me "No problem""

I was told they would and confirm prior to the move, that did not happen. I called at 4:00 pm the day prior to my move. They advised the movers would arrive between 7:30 - 9:00. By 10:15 I become concerned, so I again I called the office. [redacted] told they were on there way. By 11:00 am I really becoming aggrivated, I called again. This [redacted] was not there and the man I spoke to said he was not sure what was happening and he would have [redacted] call me.... over two more past, still no call, I called again, at that point they said the men where finishing as job and would be to me in an hour or so.

This absolutely unacceptable, my elevator at my new condo was reserved from 8:00 - 3:00 pm. By the time the men showed up and walked up the steps and into my apartment, the first thing they said we need three men on this!! One guy mumbled "This is [redacted]"" The began to calling the office and could not get a hold of [redacted], they were frustrated as well.

They began working around 12:30, I advised that my elevator reservation was only till 3:00 pm, the driver, told me "Well, that's not gonna happen." At this I again started calling the office, no one answered, I just kept getting the recording. The men complained the whole time, and stated the job they did ahead of mine was the same situation. Two bedroom townhouse, going to third floor. The men where tired when then get to my move.

No apologies where ever expressed by any one at All My Sons, and they then would not unload the truck until I made payment!! Reviewing the paperwork they also tried to charge me for tape, which not used, and a fuel surcharge which I was never told about!

I have damaged items due to lack of padding, and the movers dropped boxes onto the floor in my new home!!!!!

To top of the entire situation the men left cigarette butts, gatorade / monster drink after they left in the parking lot!!!!

Do not ever use this company, I have also found out that All My Sons IS NOT family owned and operated!!

They are true scam artists!! I have also contact local television stations to investigate their horrible business practices!

worst move ever!!!!!!!!!!

Please cancel this complaint against All My Sons Moving. The matter was resolved over the weekend. Thank you!

We sent the customer a settlement offer of $468.00 on 7.24.15

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because: They need to show proof of refund on our deposit and offset our expense of paying a higher than usual fee to come move us on a Sunday with less than 12 hours notice.
Sincerely,
[redacted]

We are sorry we did not meet the customer expectations during the move with us. On 4/2/15 the customer contacted our care team/claims department, we sent a claims packet to him in order for him to share his experience and notate any damages that may have occurred. We emailed the claims packet again...

on 4/23/15. The customer can work directly with our customer care team they do not need to contact the local branch, if he will please submit his claim we will process it as soon as possible. The phone number is ###-###-####

All of our telephone calls are recorded for quality control purposes.  The foundations of this complaint is built on the premise that a quote of $600 (3-4 hours) was given, and that the customer is upset that their move took longer in duration.  We have investigated this complaint and...

reviewed all telephone conversations including email correspondence, and have found that the customers claims are without merit.  Our company never gave a quote of time (duration) or price at any point, which is consistent with our company policy not to do so. Perhaps the complainant has our company confused with conversation held with other companies.  The actual time consumed in this relocation is well within the statistical time frame for a home this size. Nevertheless, we have reached out to the consumer and have resolved all issues bringing closure to this complaint. Please contact me should you have any questions.

The people you talk to on the phone are not knowledgeable so do NOT take anything they tell you with any reliability. They quoted me a 3 person move, one truck and an hourly rate. They also set a time for the person to come out and give me a packing quote. Not only did the estimator come out an hour late, the quote jumped to 5 people, two trucks and the hourly rates went through the roof. You might say that there was a lot more than I described, but there wasn't. I just moved 3 years ago using [redacted] and[redacted] and it not only went seamless, but we moved more stuff in one truck with 3 guys in less time. So this is a completely bogus company that pads the numbers and blames it on the phone guys. They wasted 2.5 hours of my time knowing they were never going to be able to come close to what they quoted me. What a scam. They should be ashamed of themselves.

We sent out a claim on the twelfth and still have not received a return via email or fax. As for the estimate, it was given to her at the time of the confirmation of the move. It is explained to all customers that a few days prior to their move, we will reach out and confirm any last minute needs and go over any final details. it was at this time she was given her estimate. she knew a few days before the move started that we estimated it taking 7 hours. We never received any reports of any issues until the claims letter was requested, and with the Revdex.com request.

All My Sons Moving & Storage would like to thank you for the opportunity to reply to our customer's complaint. It remains our goal to respond to all customer inquiries in both a timely and professional manner. One of our customer care...

This company seeks to abridge my free speech rights as a condition to satisfying its liability for the damage its employees caused to my belongings and home.  There should be no conditions attached to any offer to settle the company's liability.  In effect, the company is attempting to extort me into not letting the public know about my experience with its services.  Given the dismal performance of All My Sons Moving this is understandable but nonetheless completely unacceptable.

I am rejecting this response because: Steve is not telling the whole truth. Yes in my letter to your CEO, Chris G[redacted], I...

did mention my day I took off from work without pay to move. This e-mail was intended to be the start of the conversation, not my asking just for the lost income. However, what he is not stating is when he and I actually talked he asked me "what do you want from us".  My response to him was that I wanted half of my invoice back.  At which point he thanked me and told me I would hear back from him. He never called, but sent an e-mail instead knowing I would be upset.  Again bad customer service. Their company can not just get away with this poor behavior. Y
Sincerely,
[redacted]

The policy has been followed based on the alligations made by the customer. We are very sorry to hear of this news during your relocation with us, while we cannot offer a full refund as services were provided, we would like to offer 20% of the cost of the move which equals $162.79.

On the claim forms that she returned to us, she asked for $80.00, in an effort of customer service we sent her more, which was $100.00. Thank you.
